Nice family owned Korean spot. The service was great. The food was great. Will definitely be back while visiting the area.

A pretty good spot for classic Korean comfort food! I've been here a couple of times now, and have always enjoyed my visits. The banchan (side dishes) are numerous & tasty. Some of my favorites here are the seafood & onion pajeon (pancake) and spicy stir-fried squid. They also have fixed KBBQ sets, which are nice if you're not feeling AYCE. Ambiance & service are fine. 7/10 would recommend!

    Bibimbap in hot stone pot

I like the bibimbap here. It's a good amount for the price, nicely assembled, and comes out fast. The toppings themselves are seasoned really lightly, but they're not entirely bland and they do give you a gochujang sauce. It's comfortable and cozy inside, and there's a good amount of space between tables and dividers so you're not eavesdropping on everyone sitting next to you. Service was amazing, the staff are really sweet and they check in on you an appropriate amount.

Our go to Korean place when we are looking for tofu soup on a cold day! We also always get the seafood pancake as it is so delicious and crispy. The tofu has pieces of zucchini and onions, so not too bland. I love the pickled cucumber banchan. If you're feeling up for a meal, they have great options to combine your tofu soup to make into a meal. You can get the bulgogi, kalbi beef, or grilled mackerel and it's the perfect combo.

If you're looking for a place that hits the spot, this is NOT it. This is a terrible excuse for bulgogi. It's not marinated. Absolutely bland, tons of cabbage and onion, and soooo watery. Server didn't come by to ask if the food was ok either, maybe they already know.

This is a cozy Korean restaurant! I got the beef bibimbap lunch special. I really liked all the toppings, everything went really well with the gochujang sauce. It was really filling, but I wish there was more beef in it.

We were craving for grilled intestine and there isn't a lot of options in Durham. It was frozen intestines but I would thia is still good quality. You grill until it's crispy the outside. Omg! It was so good! The service was quick. It's getting busy quickly between 6pm-7pm on Saturday, so I think coming slightly before 6pm is better. And also, the dumpling soup was tasty too.

Great late evening Korean BBQ. "This is the way!" - Mandalorian said, and would have kept repeating himself while stuffing his face with sweet Korean marinated beef on the bone. Delicious and you'll love it too!

Stopped in here to grab lunch the people were so friendly here. We got the Korean sausage soup (순대국밥) and the Sweet and Sour Pork (탕수육). Both were very very good the pork was a large portion so great for sharing. Will definitely stop by again.

This place is and will always be a HIT! Never have I ever been so poor in my life until I stumble upon this heaven on earth. The owners are out of this world and are sooo kind! We are always treated well. This is a family business so please be kind when you come. The owners are very sweet and the food is bussin

Pork Bulgogi Bibimbap was fantastic. Perfect balance of crunch spicy and savory. Very fresh and flavorful.

Bulgogi (beef) Combo for about $18. Included rice, kimchi soup, various pickled veggies and kimchi.

Not so positive: parking can be tough, the lot is always packed. I think it is a shared lot because the restaurant was pretty empty during my visit today. i have visited twice now (jan 2026 & may 2026) and i order a decent amount of food for the table to share. Both times, every plate has been room temperature. Thats super disappointing especially since the Korean dishes we ordered are typically served very hot (and in clay pots). It would be fine if my food was even remotely warm, but that hasnt been the case for either of my visits. Our food took a very long time to come out, which would have also been fine had the food came out hot, so i am wondering why it took so long to send out cold food? Also, for some reason there was a strong odor of some sort permeating through the beer hall. I couldnt place what it was but it was not pleasant for me. I feel like i am rarely sensitive to smells but i had to spritz a perfume to mask it. It might've just been a cleaning product or something, not sure. Something to note is that you have to pay for the banchan here. This is typically served with your meals for no additional cost as they are considered 'essential' to your meal. So a charge for them was surprising for me.

The ambience is beautiful and cozy, and the customer service was so warm and attentive. We sat upstairs in the izakaya during happy hour (Tuesday). The standout for me was the crispy tofu bao bun. The sauce in it was SO good, I honestly wish I had ordered more, especially since it was only $4. We also tried oysters for the first time (they were around $1.50-$1.99 during happy hour), and they were surprisingly delicious. We tried a few grilled skewers, shrimp, eggplant, and tofu, which were good, but not my absolute favorites of the night. The best was the egg sando. It might sound simple, but it was incredible, honestly tasted just like the ones I had in Japan, if not better. And the fries?? Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My friend is from that area of the world and on her recommendation we tried this new place in downtown Durham. It was terrific, what a find! The restaurant's unique handmade paintings on walls and other Philippino decor was very eclectic and cool. They had a hand painted mural of the famous Chef Anthony Bourdain Which was cool but he's from New York so I'll have to ask the owner about that next time I come back. Lol The place was packed and we were walk ins but the owner was at the reception desk and told us to wait and she might be able to find us a table. We were in luck and she directed us to the back room. The server was extremely knowledgeable about all the dishes. Since I had my Philippino friend along she told us what she liked as well as the helpful server. The food was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. What I ate I can't pronounce so look at my pics of the menu ;) I had a bowl w beef filet, onions, tomatoes, cucumber lining the bowl w Jasmine rice and a fried egg on top. My friend had oxtail and the other had an appetizer of Lumplang Shanghai and entre of Pancit Behon, all food was extraordinary and large portions. No doubt that was why the place was packed!
