Best Cubano and yucca frites I've ever had. I live in Raleigh and eagerly anticipate seeing that green truck in the area! The secret to the Cubano is their bread. You just can't replicate it. It's got a nice crust without being dry and still so soft and pillowy. The yucca frites are light and cooked thoroughly. The cilantro sauce for the yucca is OMG ahhmazing! How have I missed this one? It's a bright green truck!! Qspresso was outside Fortnight Brewery. Not that I would have paid attention, except that my neighbor suggested I give them a try . She's been stalking them for their cubanos every chance she gets. The menu is centered around Cuban and "Latino-inspired" food. Not being in the mood for a cubano, I went for the quesadilla. Although it's called a quesadilla, it's more of a turnover. And, it's really good. It's corn masa and doughy. Filled with onions, mushrooms and queso fresca, it also had some some nice sliced onion (I think they were pickled?) on top. I finally understand why my neighbor is a fan of Qspresso. I might be now, too. As you would expect by the name, Qspresso also has coffee. I should have ordered that too, but it was late in the day and I opted for sleep instead. read more

I saw this food truck at my work and as soon as I saw the Cubano on the menu, I knew instantly that is what I wanted for lunch. They grilled up the cubano to order and the cheese was perfectly melty and the buttered bread had some great crunch. There was a decent amount of meat and it really hit the spot. Also, the service was great too. It was a little drizzly that day so they didn't have too many others to serve, but my sandwich came out quick. And the person who took my order was very nice. I definitely plan to try out more of their menu as there were a few other items that were tempting. We don't have too many Cuban food options in the area so this food truck is a nice addition to the Triangle! read more

Great coffee, mediocre food, but don't ever hire them for an event. Absolutely unprofessional. I've had 3 opportunities with 2 different organizations to hire this truck for events and the owner flaked out each time. First time she tried to cancel the night before but I guess was guilted into showing up. They seemed to have a good day of sales and the owner asked that we consider hiring her again next year. Which we did. The second time when I checked in a couple days prior to the event, she said she didn't have us on her schedule and wouldn't be available. I forwarded her the confirmation she sent and she said the QSpresso truck couldn't make it but she'd send another truck. We hired her for coffee; she sent us enchiladas - for an early morning event. And now I'm nervous about the 3rd event we had with this truck but remained optimistic that these instances were exceptions and not habits. The third time she cancelled about a week or two prior to the event after we had already included the truck in all our promotional materials. She said she had to reschedule another event that had been cancelled due to weather even though she already had us booked/confirmed for that date. There won't be a fourth time and it's unfortunate that she contributes to the flaky reputation that food trucks sometimes have. read more

The qspresso food truck came to my work and I was pretty excited to try the cubano since a fair number of reviews praised it. So I ordered the cubano for lunch and 2 beef empanadas to split with my fiance for dinner. The cubano was super disappointing. I always compare cubano to an amazing one I had in Chicago and this did not come close. The pork wasn't very flavourful and the ham was gross! Taking the ham off definitely improved the sandwich but I still want able to finish it. The mustard was overwhelming the whole sandwich and the outside of the bread was covered in grease. The empanadas on the other hand were actually pretty good and the chimichurri sauce was alright. I liked the subtle sweetness of the filling inside the empanadas but I wished the sauce had a bit more of a bite. I'd come back for the empanadas but not for the cubano. read more

We were blessed to have them stop by my work for lunch. My husband is usually the lucky recipient and I get some jealousy inducing lunch pictures, but not today!! Very friendly service and delicious Cuban food, which is a little hard to find in this area. They really do make a good cubano. Growing up in Tampa makes me a bit one sided in the Tampa v. Miami debate. Yes I do like it with salami and a little mayo, but I'm also not crazy and still very much enjoy it with ham. This food truck came to my employment today & I must say, WOW. I never had Quinoa before & today, I tried the Spanish Quinoa Salad with the Fried Yuca. The Salad tasted so fresh & healthy. The flavors were mixed very well. I loved the cilantro with the tomatoes. Also, the fried yuca is like a french fry, but better. The sauce that they serve with it is amazing. Their food is authentic and some of the most flavorful stuff you will find in the Triangle. For some reference, my family tree consists of NY Times food critiques and high-end NYC restaurant GMs (think Tavern on the Green, Rainbow Room etc.) so I have a pretty high standard for food. Their Cuban sandwich is one of the best I've ever had, the slow roasted pork tacos are off the chain, empanadas, pozole soup everything... is a home run. You will leave happy and full. Qspresso set up shop at the World Beer Festival in Durham recently so we got a little nibble to soak up some beer. Truth be told I am not an empanada fan. Many times, they are bland or the bread to filling mixture is out of portion. My husband got an order of the Beef Empanadas and they were freaking AMAZING. For $8 you get three large meat pies filled with Ground Beef, Green Olives, Tomato Sauce and served with Spicy Chimichurri on the side. Easily the best ones I have had in Durham and I have to give them five stars for that reason alone. I purchased beef empanadas and yuca fries. Yuca fries were on point. Nicely salted, crunchy on the outside, tender inside. Usually yuca fries are dry on the inside but not these. I loved them. The empanadas were flavorful but The dough was not fully cooked, which grossed me out. It was stretchy and really soft, not cooked cooked at all. All of their food is fresh and delishous! The service is fast and friendly, with a very short wait time. I am always pleased to see their truck serving in Mebane!
