How have I missed this one? It's a bright green truck!! Qspresso was outside Fortnight Brewery. Not that I would have paid attention, except that my neighbor suggested I give them a try . She's been stalking them for their cubanos every chance she gets. The menu is centered around Cuban and "Latino-inspired" food. Not being in the mood for a cubano, I went for the quesadilla. Although it's called a quesadilla, it's more of a turnover. And, it's really good. It's corn masa and doughy. Filled with onions, mushrooms and queso fresca, it also had some some nice sliced onion (I think they were pickled?) on top. I finally understand why my neighbor is a fan of Qspresso. I might be now, too. As you would expect by the name, Qspresso also has coffee. I should have ordered that too, but it was late in the day and I opted for sleep instead.

Qspresso is one of our favorite food trucks in Durham. The empanadas with the cilantro sauce are fantastic. Always have great flavor. The maduros are also consistently some of the best plantains around. THEN. On top of that they have awesome specials. My fav was the arroz con pollo. good people good food!

The qspresso food truck came to my work and I was pretty excited to try the cubano since a fair number of reviews praised it. So I ordered the cubano for lunch and 2 beef empanadas to split with my fiance for dinner. The cubano was super disappointing. I always compare cubano to an amazing one I had in Chicago and this did not come close. The pork wasn't very flavourful and the ham was gross! Taking the ham off definitely improved the sandwich but I still want able to finish it. The mustard was overwhelming the whole sandwich and the outside of the bread was covered in grease. The empanadas on the other hand were actually pretty good and the chimichurri sauce was alright. I liked the subtle sweetness of the filling inside the empanadas but I wished the sauce had a bit more of a bite. I'd come back for the empanadas but not for the cubano.

We were blessed to have them stop by my work for lunch. My husband is usually the lucky recipient and I get some jealousy inducing lunch pictures, but not today!! Very friendly service and delicious Cuban food, which is a little hard to find in this area. They really do make a good cubano. Growing up in Tampa makes me a bit one sided in the Tampa v. Miami debate. Yes I do like it with salami and a little mayo, but I'm also not crazy and still very much enjoy it with ham. I think with a slightly crunchier/longer toast and more pickles this would really hit the spot. Their mojo was super tasty and I look forward to trying all their other offerings.

Pozole Soup and Pork tacos! Yum!

Courtney and Hiladio are awesome! Qpresso started coming to my complex (Oberlin Ct) and I can't talk this place up enough! Their food is authentic and some of the most flavorful stuff you will find in the Triangle. For some reference, my family tree consists of NY Times food critiques and high-end NYC restaurant GMs (think Tavern on the Green, Rainbow Room etc.) so I have a pretty high standard for food. Their Cuban sandwich is one of the best I've ever had, the slow roasted pork tacos are off the chain, empanadas, pozole soup everything... is a home run. You will leave happy and full. Try them ASAP!

    Cuban Sandwich

My wife and I tried the cuban sandwich, the beef empanadas, and the yucca fries. Some of the best cuban food we have had in the Triangle and we would definitely seek them out again.

    Stretchy uncooked dough. Eww

I purchased beef empanadas and yuca fries. Yuca fries were on point. Nicely salted, crunchy on the outside, tender inside. Usually yuca fries are dry on the inside but not these. I loved them. The empanadas were flavorful but The dough was not fully cooked, which grossed me out. It was stretchy and really soft, not cooked cooked at all. Filling flavor was good but I just couldn't finish them.

    So impressive!

Had the beef empanadas at the job today and they were great! Be sure to get the order of 3 to be satisfied.

Food taste is good, but portion size compared to price is severely lacking. For $10 I was expecting a larger serving of a Cubano.

I previously has good experiences here, and remember when this place didn't even have a storefront…read moreyet. Since then I've followed them wherever they went and have been such a loyal fan. Today however we planned a birthday at Shonuff at 4:30pm at their Broad Street restaurant. When we got there, it was closed despite signage and Google saying they should be open until 6pm. It was shocking and confusing. I understand it's the awkward time between Christmas and New Years where some businesses are taking a holiday break but no where did we see any change of hours notification, not on Google, not their website nor on Instagram. Very disappointing for the birthday girl and her guests that 1) traveled hours for this event and 2) were dressed for a seafood boil. So after visiting this empty and closed restaurant our party of 6 ended up going to the Durham food hall for seafood. To the store: please be sure to update signage. We really love your seafood and want to plan our trips. I will also let the store know this feedback too.

I enjoyed Sho Nuff Grande Shrimp. This included a large serving of 24 large shrimp, smoked sausage,…read morecorn and potatoes. This was so delicious. I really enjoyed this. The individuals I dined here with had flounder and catfish and they also enjoyed their food. I also tried the collards and that was also very good. The staff here were upbeat, professional and attentive The restaurant itself isn't fancy. Many areas can use more cleaning such as the paper towels holders on the tables and the bathroom trash can. One operating restroom isn't sufficient for the crowd that comes in and out of this restaurant. Overall, very good seafood and I do recommend. It's Sho Nuff GOOD!
