Pork taco

I had tacos, asada, pork and tongue. Absolutely nothing special about these very bland tacos. Disappointing, especially for $3 a piece.

Nachos

This is my favorite taco truck! Plus they make so much more. I wouldn't be concerned about a language barrier and they help a lot if you want to try something new. Nachos are my favorite thing to purchase and please tip well since the prices are so good!

Steak torta

Stopped by after an event at Duke homestead, about 3 minutes away around 9:30! I was craving late night taco truck and there's definitely a lot of spots in Durham for it. I saw a review to try the steak torta (milanesa de rez) and it did not disappoint. What I love about tortas is that there are multiple veggies but the meat is never as thick as a regular hamburger, making the each bite fresh and evenly ratioed. The steak actually does have a breaded taste which is delicious! The bread itself is buttered and most importantly, not soggy given the amount of ingredients in the sandwich. The onions and jalapenos are cooked too, there's avacado and cheese, and the sandwich is huge for 10$; it will fill you up. I just took off one star because we had the tacos as well and the meat isn't as juicy as other trucks, it was also a bit colder and the tortillas were not as warm and crisp as I wanted them to be. But definitely go for the tortas!! Also service is good- cashier makes sure to check all customizations, food takes about 10 minutes to make and salsa comes already packaged!

Carne asada tacos with green salsa

BEST. THE. BEST. TACOS. If you're questioning the drive to get these tacos, do it. These are the best tacos I've had ever in NC. SO much flavor without the salsa but I love spicy so I added a little bit of green salsa. Honestly, go get you some.

Shrimp Nachos

We wanted Mexican and thought we'd try the local taco truck we often pass by. And wow. Best nachos I have ever had in my 31 years of existence. I cannot express enough how large and juicy and perfectly grilled the shrimp was. The chips, fajita veggies, and pinto beans seem like common ingredients but they were outstandingly delicious. I wish I could go daily.12/10.

Delicious authentic food. Relaxed ambiance…read more Good service. No complaints. Large portions, too!

"Delicious Honduran food just south of I-85 on Guess Rd in Durham"…read more Came here on a Saturday evening a little after 6pm-- this is the building that used to be "Pad Thai" a few years ago. There's parking out front, but not a ton, and a bit more along the side. Inside, there's a counter by the door with a register and mints (and probably where one would pickup takeout), but you wait to get seated. The place was bright with interesting Central American paintings and lively music. A few tables were taken but it was hardly what I'd call "busy". I ordered the Tajada con carne molida (fried plantains with ground beef) off the "Honduran menu". My dining partner had a creamy chicken mofongo. We also had Jarritos sodas-- I got the pineapple and she had the tamarind. One awkwardness was that the menu didn't have any prices, but I assumed (correctly) that nothing would be crazy expensive that we ordered (though weirdly the tamarind and pineapple Jarritos were different prices). Service was good-- although English was a second language, our server made do, accurately took our order, and was attentive. As other reviewers noted, this is not a speedy place-- I think it was at or maybe over 20 minutes to get our food, but that was fine. Both dishes were really good. The creamy sauce on the mofongo was to-die-for... so yummy. And I enjoyed my plantain/ beef dish-- my dining partner said it was somewhat analogous to "nachos" in a funny way, and she's not wrong. The plantains were pretty stiff-- almost like plantain chips, but still yummy, and the beef and accompaniments were excellent (see photo). The quantity was HUGE-- both of us had enough easily for a second meal. Price wasn't bad-- with the drinks and tax and tip, it was slightly over $50 total. Overall, I'm very happy we tried this place, and I have every intention of coming back.
