Chicken Bacon Parmesan with the Extra FRIED Chicken

When you're craving loaded fries this place is your go to! The guy at the counter was so nice, my bad I didn't catch his name. Since it was my first time there he explained how the whole thing works, the sizes they offer, etc. I got the junior size, and it was super filling, got the bacon chicken fries. It was fries topped with a lemony garlic sauce, crispy fried chicken nuggets/ tenders (it was in between sizes) and bacon bits! It is a bit on the pricier side but hey at 12 am I would pay for this! This place is open until 1 am I think. I really wanted to try the crab and shrimp loaded ones but since my husband is allergic I had to stick to chicken but it did not disappoint! .

I was out with my daughter shopping the Monday before New Year's . We were looking for a place to eat. We were in Durham so we wanted to eat something local. One place we wanted was closed but I saw Mr. Fries Man, so we decided to give it a shot. It's not a place to sit down and eat but the service was great and friendly. The food was amazing and we got it fast. My daughter got the chicken parm fries and I got the classic chili cheese fries. We got the half order. I can't imagine the full! My box was loaded!! If you're looking for some good takeout, I totally recommend Mr. Fries Man.

This place was one of the few places that was open late at night. It is a Black owned business as well. The fries were great. and very filling. The Hello sauce what's a very interesting taste which added more flavor to the fries. The food came out fast hot and fresh, literal mouth watering. It is a small restaurant located downtown I believe not really that big in the inside 10/10 recommend

Oh yes, wait a minute Mr. Fries Man! I first heard about Mr. Fries Man from Tik Tok and while driving from Greensboro, NC to Norfolk, VA a lightbulb went off in my head to make a quick detour in Durham to try this place out. I was with 3 other friends and after telling them to pull up the tik tok I saw they had no problems with stopping there for lunch. Be aware that there are no tables and chairs at this location there's only an order window and a waiting area to wait for your food after you order. After looking at the menu my friends and I decided that it would be the most economically sound to order their "Signature Fry Box", which comes with 4 different types of loaded fries; BBQ Bacon Ranch Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Lemon Garlic Shrimp, and Honey Garlic Shrimp and Steak. Girl, my friends and I took some napkins and 4 forks outside, sat that box down, and tore that box up! While I enjoyed each flavor, I preferred the chicken to the seafood/steak and the BBQ Bacon Chicken Ranch was my personal favorite. Keep in mind that these fries are a lot portion wise so make sure you're hungry before ordering them. Honestly, I can see myself eating these as a treat every once in a while, but not too often because they're so heavy. Luckily my visits to this place will be spaced out because I live 3 hours away. Haha

Atmosphere: Mr. Fries Man is located not too far from Duke's East Campus, but parking can be a bit tricky. The interior is pretty updated and new, but there isn't really a place to sit down and eat your food. Service: We went to the store a bit before closing, but the worker at the register was still enthusiastic and helped us navigate the menu. Our food came out in around 20 minutes. Food: We ordered the Honey Garlic Shrimp & Steak for a late-night snack. The sauce and fries were delicious and came in a good hefty portion. The sweetness and tanginess of the sauce was unique and went well with the protein provided. However, the shrimp and steak were just alright and relied on the strength of the sauce. The meal did comfortably feed 4 people on a late-night snack adventure with some leftovers, but the leftovers didn't hold as well. Overall: The food at Mr. Fries Man wasn't necessarily bad, but we can't bring ourselves to spend $25 on a plate of fries again. Mr. Fries Man is good to try and split with friends, since after a handful of bites the taste can get a bit old and overwhelming. Mr. Fries Man might be a trendy, intriguing stunt food to try a couple of times, but we did not feel like our plate would be a truly satisfying or complete meal.

First time going. Good food, nice size portions. Idk how business is on a regular, but there was only one guy in there when I went and he was whipping those plates up left and rightshoutout to him 9/10 would recommend

My brother and I stopped at Mr. Fries Man on our drive from New York back to Charlotte. We had both heard about it on social media - from the Daily Special CLT and Mr. Chime Time. BBC The location is really nice, and near other restaurants that seemed fairly populated on a Tuesday night. I must say, I was really impressed by the number of menu options. John, one of the chefs, explained the whole menu to us. It was about 2 paragraphs worth of explaining lol, but basically you can mix any protein with any sauce or seasoning, and everything has cheese! John was also kind enough to give my brother a student discount. It got really quiet in the restaurant as everyone started eating - that's how you know it was good! So about the fries - the freshness made the world of difference! I had the Lemon Garlic Shrimp, which is actually their happy hour special, but I upgraded it to regular size. My brother had the Honey Garlic Steak and Shrimp, and ate it all before I could take a picture! He's a pretty picky eater, so I know he enjoyed it when his container was completely empty! He also proceeded to call all of his friends in New York to tell them how good it was - needles to say, we enjoyed it! I'll definitely be adding Mr. Fries Man to my stops in Durham! Until then, happy eating!

First, I like fries and sauces. Fries with lots of sauces. Sounds great. 1. I ordered extra sauce, but they did not pack it. My fault not double checking when I picked it up. 2. Fries are soggy. Of course with lots of sauce they would get soggy. 3. Only 4 small pieces of chicken. I am glad that I did not go for more expensive dishes. 4. Sauces are tasty, richy and bountiful. Overall, 2 starts because I still like fries, and sauces were good.

Girls day out led us to Mr. Fries Man in downtown Durham, and man we were so happy!! Mr. Fries Man offers order-at-the-counter and our meals were ready within minutes, even with a line stacking at the door. There's no dining inside so we took our to-go bags outside and enjoyed al-fresco on the street bench. We chose the Honey Garlic Steak & Shrimp fries, Honey Garlic Chicken & Shrimp fries, and BBQ Chicken fries. Each was so delicious! We had every intention to save a portion of our meals for later in the evening, but that did NOT happen. We ate them all! One of us, I'm not saying who, even went back the following day to try the Buffalo Chicken fries... so you KNOW we loved it! Whether you're in Durham or not, find your way to Mr. Fries Man and enjoy this family-owned restaurant, by Craig and Dorothy Batiste, part of a revolutionary underground foodie frenzy started in Los Angeles.

Even at 1:30 am, they're friendly, quick and the food delicious! This place sets the mood in the same way Waffle House or any gas station bathroom does - classically janky....though I'll say it has had a facelift since we were last here. We went to another cookout when we touched down and left because it looked too nice and didn't have a wrong sided drive thru! As such, we came back down Nostalgias highway to our OG cookout on Hillsbrough! It was exactly what we wanted! The stand alone, dual drive thru (with walk up) set up of this place is nothing short of amazing. If you had to design a place, it might accidentally turn out like this and you'd just accept it, not realizing the brilliance that is passing food through a passenger window! Seriously, of through the drive thru on the left. The food is such a perfect example of southern burgers - it's like in-n-out that you want to come back to! Cheddar style, steak style, west style - don't matter, it's all boss level! You'd like a burger with sides of corn dog and walking taco? Got it - one of 55 shake options? Done - more hush puppies? On it! The loudspeakers have been improved upon - you used to just pretend you understood what was being said and accept what you received. Now, they repeat it back at least. Our kids scarfed it down so fast we literally went through and ordered a second time, 6 minutes later. Three burgers, nuggets, rings and the equivalent of three pints of ice cream can't be wrong! Aside from my children, I may not love a human child more than this burger joint. It's so good, any time, any days, double stamp it, touch blue make it true, no eraseys! The warmly lit space presents nice aesthetic as you walk into the restaurant. A very chill and comfortable atmosphere. I love the bar and the mirrored wall nestled behind it. The spot is pretty laidback and very clean, but has a bit of a rustic nuance to it as well. I like that. The serving staff were extremely nice and helpful towards advising me in making my selection -- with me being a first-timer and all.
