I ordered food from here some days ago but forgot to leave review my food was awful. 3-5 wings weren't cooked all the way my fries were cold tasted like I was chewing plastic. I was already home when I started eating the food and did not feel like driving over there again. Never going to this location again.

Top relatively cheap, late night food spot in Durham! We got the 6-piece boneless Honey BBQ (classic, not too sweet), 3-piece thighs Zesty Garlic Parmesan (super zesty; the more I ate it, the more I liked the sauce haha), and Sweet Potato Waffle Fries with cinnamon sugar (perfection). Only notes are that the thighs were overcooked & they forgot to give us the blue cheese that we asked for (we got some ranch though so it was fine). Service is fast, ambiance is fine (there are some picnic tables, but we decided to take home). Free adjacent parking lot. 7.5/10 would recommend!

Only seating is outside I got the Thai wings and they were cooked and sauced perfectly. They can be messy to eat and there are no bathroom facilities so suggest you buy a bottle of water to wash your hands. The fries were to die for! They will not disappoint. Food was a 5 No bathroom puts the ceiling at 3.

Visiting from nyc. Wanted something quick for dinner. My partner is vegetarian so figured this would be perfect spot. Food: ordered the boneless (8piece) sweet Thai coconut chili wet sauce with the half order Idaho potato waffle fries with lemon pepper dry seasoning. These are the best waffle fries I've ever had. The boneless wings were good (all chicken breast). The sauce was a little too spicy for me (I am sensitive to spice but order it anyways) but the flavor was still great. Partner ordered the vegan chicken "wings" with same sauce which was pretty good and the half order sweet potato fries with sweet mesquite bbq dry seasoning. Best sweet potato waffle fries I've ever had... so crunchy and flavorful! Service: the person at the counter was nice and gave recommendations. Happy to serve new customers to the establishment. One thing I appreciate is the all in with the vegan option. They had the thought to also serve vegan ranch... many places will serve vegan "meat" but not consider vegan condiments. Much appreciated even though we didn't ask for it specifically. Price: I thought price was pretty decent for amount of food we got. Ambiance: I like the little sitting booth on the outside. Very simple and just a window to order from no indoor dining. Nothing fancy but up-kept and clean. Overall I will be back to try bone in wings and other sauces and dry seasonings!

It was our first time trying out Heavenly Buffaloes so we called in with a few questions before placing our order. Our serve truly could not have been any nicer and was honestly our favorite thing about this spot. He was patient, listening to all of our questions and answering them all with so much information! He made some top notch recommendations so we went for the two most popular flavors he suggested: the heavenly buffalo and the thai coconut chili. We also got a large waffle fries to share and a tasty pink lemonade. The wings were very good, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I loved the heavenly buffalo flavor which is their take on a classic hot wing. The thai coconut chili was also pretty good, but I wasn't a fan of the coconut aspect, it gave it a creaminess which I didn't like as much. The waffle fries on the other hand were DELICIOUS. They were so crispy, thin and had that kind of battered, textured, outside to them, true fry lovers will know what I'm talking about and I've never seen that on a WAFFLE fry and it was soooooo yummy. Will definitely be visiting again!

Food was great I had the chicken breast sandwich with waffle fries. The service was also good and quick to deliver. The ambiance with TVs on two walls was good for watching footage.

Heavenly Buffaloes has multiple locations in Durham and we landed at this one because it was the closest. That said, this location is take out only. And while I definitely wanted some wings, I did not want to eat them in my car. The young lady at the counter was very polite and directed me to their other location. As for this one, I'll be back when I'm looking for takeout in this area. [Review 15527 overall, 1031 of 2021, number 3066 in North Carolina.]

One of the first few restaurants I tried in North Carolina is @heavenly_buffaloes because I heard good things about this place! They specialize in chicken wings and didn't disappoint. There are so many flavors to choose from! We ordered: Honey BBQ Boneless chicken wings - so saucyy! Dry rub chicken thighs - crispy Waffle fries - We got a large and holy the portion size was HUGE it can probably serve like 3-4 people

Great fries! I loved the seasoning (jerk) on the crispy waffle fries. The wings were below average...I could almost tast the old grease.

We ordered vegan wings with two different sauces and it was so amazing! We really enjoyed how crunchy and tender the vegan wings were and it was such a thoughtful thing to put on the menu! They also had vegan ranch, which is a plus! The vegan wings were huge, as you can see, and we enjoyed eating them. They were very filling as well. If we are ever in the area again and craving vegan wings, we know the place to go to to make it happen!

    Buffalo Chicken Wings- sauce separate

Heavenly Buffalo is a solid chicken place. The chicken is usually on the drier side, but the sauces that accompanies it makes up for the dryness. For any of my spice lover out there, I would recommend to go spicier than the mild - because the mild is not spicy at all. The buffalo sauce is on the creamier side of sauce, and really hits all the buffalo wings craving. The lemon pepper is also a very nice dry rub. You really get all the hits of lemony-ness and pepper all at once and it is a dance party in your mouth. The fries, although not crunchy, has a great taste to them. It reminds me of Jack-in-the-box fries. Overall, the chicken and fries are perfectly salted. Although the chicken is slightly on the drier side, the sauces and rubs really elevates the chicken and I would recommend this place! Taste: 3.5/5 Presentation: 3/5 (not something they care about) Recommend to a friend?: Yes Consistent: Yes Cost: $$ Parking: small lot on the right side of the restaurant

I came here after looking up Vegan options on Yelp last time I was in the area. I opted not to go at the time due to the distance but it came to mind while I was in town on Saturday. Based on the reviews about the long wait times, I decided to call my order in so that it would be ready when I arrived. Per the suggestion of fellow Yelpers, I ordered the Thai chili vegan wings and the plain waffle fries and started the 15-minute drive to Heavenly Buffaloes. When I arrived, I walked up to the window to pick up my order which set me back less than $13. En route to my destination, I decided to munch on my goodies. The wings were absolutely delicious. Sticky, spicy and sweet and the peanuts gave it a wonderful texture. The wings themselves had a nice texture outside and the inside had that meaty texture that vegans tend to miss. It was great. Loved the fries, though I wish they had been a hair crispier. The seasoning was spot on and they were nice and hot. The 7 wings were more than enough for me. I think I ate 3 with the fries for lunch and had the other 4 for dinner. Overall, I think this place is great and can't wait to come back and try the Jerk sauce.

Ask the Community - Heavenly Buffaloes

Is there a brewery or nearby restaurant that would allow Heavenly Buffaloes customers to bring their food inside? I know HB does not have inside seating.

That easy! Come to the new Chapel Hill location! Full seating and great beer selections to go with the already great food!

How are the vegan wings? Consistency, flavor, value, etc.

They remind me of Chick'n brand. They are similar in shape and size to boneless real chicken wings but softer. The breading is very good and the sauce really permeates. They were very flavorful and a tad expensive but very, very filling.

This "Signature Secret Burger" was rather unique, as it was like you took a pretty simple egg burger, and just ramped it up. My initial thought when I first tried it was that it was a burger squared, the mystery ingredients amplified the flavor to make such a savory meal. It wasn't to overbearing like many other burger places that I've visited, not immediately making me feel fat and full after taking a few bites. The burger was yummy, nothing super unique, but I liked their vegan patty and thought it was moist and well flavored. Anyway, I enjoyed the drink (blueberry mojito, a special at the time) a lot, and noticed that they have craft sodas on tap (super fun). The vibe is casual and woodsy, and the food came out in good time, though ordering at the front can take a while, since they only have one register. I think that the range of non-beer drinks they offer sets them apart a bit from other breweries (with the sodas, the specials, a few cocktails), which I really appreciate as someone who does not enjoy beer. They also tend to run drinks on a theme (i.e. when I was there they were offering like 7-10 different blueberry flavored drinks, both alocholic and non-alcoholic), which can make returning here fun. Overall, a good experience. They have some fun offerings, and a solid vegan burger.

As a vegetarian, there were admittedly pretty limited options, but I was aware of that going in and still wanted to try out this Durham institution. If I had known this beforehand, probably would not have ordered the Dinner Rolls- nonetheless, they were delightful (pillowy soft and came with an airy butter). As an appetizer, we got the Little Gem Lettuce, which was a little too salty for my taste, and I felt the citrus accentuated the saltiness even more. However, my friends thought it was seasoned well so take this with a grain of salt lol. But I did enjoy the creaminess of the dressing and the crunch from the topping; also, it was pleasant to eat along with some bread. For my entrée, I got the Spaghettini. When I say this was heavenly, I could literally hear angels singing as I took my first bite. The hot fudge was velvety but not overwhelming, the soufflé soft, and perfectly balanced by the cool bourbon-caramel ice cream. This is assembled table side so you get a fun little show as well haha. I only got to take a picture of just a couple of what we ordered. My favorites: Little Asada - so flavorful and cooked perfectly Octopus and butter beans- prepared perfectly not rubbery. Great choice DIY hand roll - really fun and inventive way although had to fight to make my own roll NC Crudo - this tuna was really fresh. I mean it didn't taste like fish. It tasted like steak. Love the flavors they added to it. ceviche - great choice with the plantains Gambas à la plancha - the OG. Highly recommended. Shrimp cooked perfect. Overall it was so amazing. Service was great also they had a fun little wine list. Pro tip: in the spring get a spot out in the patio or outside. Highly recommended. Will be back!

Mexican-American Cuisine with a Vibrant Ambiance and Flavorful Complex Cuisine…read more You step right into a vibrant ambiance, with a beautifully decorated main dining room and a curated outdoor dining space that defines the evening as a place to bring family, friends, and professionals to enjoy lively conversations while savoring the Chef's cuisine. From the amazing service and the curated bar menu, with a bar staff that can create drinks based on your specific taste preferences, to an extraordinary selection of bold and flavorful cuisine, Little Bull is a Huge Gem in the Durham area. __ I have had the opportunity to travel the globe, 6 continents, 62 countries, and 33 US states, tasting some of the most memorable and sometimes not memorable culinary experiences. When looking at a restaurant, it is important to consider the entire dining experience, including ambiance, service, and food. Little Bull achieved excellence in all these categories. __ Tom Kha Ceviche - Snapper, coconut leche de tigre, mixed peppers, sweet potato, choclo, peanut, salsa macha, onions, and plantain chips. The snapper was incredibly fresh, which paired perfectly with the coconut leche de tigre. The broth was well balanced with richness from the peanut butter and salsa macha, sweetness from the sweet potato and choclo, and spice from the peppers and onions. The plantains were the perfect way to bring all the ingredients together. __ Gambas a La Plancha - Shrimp, salsa piquin, onion, and ciabatta. The shrimp was well-cooked and tender, delivered with the perfect char, bringing the right sweetness while pulling in the spicy and smoky flavors from the salsa piquin. The ciabatta was a nice accompaniment to this dish, helping you soak up the amazing base sauce. __ Winter Cabbage - Charred NC Cabbage, Salsa Malcojeta, Beans Mousseline, Cumin Vinaigrette, and Salsa Macha. This was a complex dish, with the creaminess of the mousseline, the charred flavor of the cabbage, the nuttiness of the salsa macha, and the earthiness of the cumin vinaigrette. While I figured this dish would have a little spice, this dish was super spicy. I would have liked the waiter to have advised us of this before we ordered the dish. __ Arepas - Cheese arepas, chicken guasacaca, cilantro and avocado aioli, avocado mousse, sour cream and pickled onions. The cheese arepas were cooked perfectly, with a nice, crisp exterior complementing the soft interior and pairing nicely with the chicken, cilantro, and avocado flavors. The pickled onions and sour cream added a nice balance to the dish. My only complaint would be that I would have liked a little more flavor. It seemed to be lacking something, making it a little bland. __ Presentation was impeccable. I love how they curated each dish and really highlighted all the ingredients. It definitely represents why they were mentioned in the Michelin guide. __ Overall, this is a must-visit restaurant for any occasion. This is the second time I visited the restaurant and have officially made it one of my go-to restaurants for different occasions.

I had a few drinks earlier in the weekend here with a friend, so I knew the bartender wasn't foolin' around. His recommendation of the Bull City Brisket was a ringer: a huge portion of smokey beef brisket (I know, pork is the only official NC barbecue, but this cow slaps!), creamy mac and cheese, not nearly enough grilled corn on the cob, a dab of Cole slaw, and deep fried jalapeño cornbread. All was presented nicely (this _is_ the lobby of the Marriott, right?), at their bar or table service. There was a small pitcher of sauce for the meat (and you'd be forgiven for using the cornbread to sop up a bit), which was thick and smoky. I was able to finish it, but it was touch-and-go at the end. Sitting in the bright, shiny gleam of this modern hotel lobby, I still felt I was dining with someone's MeeMaw on the back porch. A word about the bar: there are the requisite purse hooks, but also power outlets spaced under the bar. A sad but needed commentary on our connected society, but Table South made it feel normal.
