Overall, the food was a good deaI since I get more food per dollar compared to other fast food chains. I got the Big Double burger "Cheddar style." The cajun fries were a bit soggy and the onion rings were mid. However, the banana pudding shake was good just that it had more of a thicker consistency like ice cream to the point where I needed a spoon to eat/drink it.

My friend told me this fast food joint is a must-try in North Carolina. We went through the drive-through and each ordered a tray, which comes with a main, two sides, and a drink. I got a chicken quesadilla with cheese fritters, onion rings, and an oreo milkshake. It would be helpful if they had signage for how to line up for the drive-through because a lot of cars weren't following the correct line and blocking the street. The menu was confusing to follow with their tray combo options. I enjoyed my greasy fast food, and it wasn't a huge portion.

We came by after 7pm and picked up a quick last minute dinner. We went through the drive thru and received everything was accurate, hot, and well cooked. Only thing I'd recommend is for the banana strawberry shake, it was awesome BUT I had a 2 1/2 inch hunk of banana at the bottom of my cup that wasn't cut up Overall had a very good experience with our first ever visit to this location. Personally didn't experience a huge line or long wait like at other locations I've been to.

As a long-time fan of Cook Out, it was always odd that there were no locations in Chapel Hill! But finally this year, the first Cook Out opened up in the Thrill and it's quite good. Converted from an old Burger King on S. Elliott Road, it's been open for a couple of weeks now. Small parking lot up front along with a single drive-thru, the menu is pretty much the same as for all Cook Outs - Burgers, barbeque, chicken sandwiches, corn dogs, milk shakes and more served up lickety split. And of course the ever-popular Cook Out tray (Sandwich, 2 sides, drink). Inside is where it gets a bit different. The reality is that most Cook Outs don't have a dining room but the Chapel Hill location does! And of course it's all decked out in Carolina blue (mind explodes). I ordered up a tray with a nacho chili burger, hushpuppies, chicken nuggets and diet coke and it's as deliciously consistent as usual. While some may argue most Cook Outs should be a 3-star experience, I'm bumping up this location to 4 since it's the first for Chapel Thrill and also has indoor dining, woo-hoo!

Known as a greasy burger joint for hungover college kids, but 5 stars for the strawberry cheesecake milkshake! $4.99 for a good 16 oz size. Way better than In N Out Milkshakes. 44 flavors to choose from, with seasonal flavors (eggnog and peppermint for December). Real chunks of cheesecake in the shake. Friend tried eggnog and definitely tasted eggnog.

They were out of Reese's so I ordered a Heath Bar Milkshake. Delic!

Surprisingly slow compared to other Cook Outs - which I normally love. I got in a line of 3 and still waited 20 minutes all told.

Best milkshakes in Orange County, but the food is mediocre. Extensive menu for shakes. Can mix various flavors. Just drink and leave.

Easily 15 cars in the drive thru, but I think I was through it with hot food in around 15 minutes.

The star of the show in my opinion were the hush puppies and the corn and wild mushroom risotto. There were sooo many different flavors that perfectly complemented each other. I was blown away. And the pig cheek on top was incredible. 500/10. Our server made great recommendations! Then-- chaos and heartbreak ensued in the form of a fire alarm. We were forced to evacuate the restaurant as the fire department arrived , leaving about half our meal on the table. After 30 or so minutes of waiting out in the cold (we were apparently the only guests who hadn't paid out yet) our server came to find us. He asked us if we wanted to just give him our credit card information and he would ring us up later, when the fire department gave them the ok, as he understood not wanting to wait around. It broke our heart to leave our leftovers, but we agreed and went to go get the car. Thankfully we are stubborn.. and optimistic to a fault. And by the third time we circled around the block, the fire truck was pulling away. I ran in and asked if there was any chance our food hadn't been thrown away yet, and it hadn't! The staff was happy we had been able to come back, and they packed everything up for us, even taking the hush puppies off the bill and sneaking in a complimentary piece of key lime pie. I'm so glad we were able to tip our server appropriately for his great service-- and rescue our leftovers. Happy ending. All was well. (And the fire ended up being something innocuous in the unit above the restaurant)

After the game we went out and went around the different places on campus. At some point we decided that we were hungry. She told me there was a great fried chicken place near by and we ended up at Time-Out. Once we got to the place it was packed. The line was a little scary to look at, but we got to the front very quickly which was very impressive as I only saw 2 workers taking care of the register and putting the orders together. I ended up ordering Combo #2 which is chicken thighs and a side. I ordered mac and cheese as my side. Luckily we were able to find an open booth in the packed restaurant. When it came time to eat, I would say that the portion of the side was pretty generous. The mac and cheese was also really good and was up to my standards. The chicken was nice and crispy, and was very delicious as well. At one point it did feel like it was a little too salty, but I was able to look past that. I asked for some hot sauce on the side and it kicked it up a little and made it even better. For my first time here, I would say that I was very impressed not only with the food but also with the service. This place is open 24/7 which is a huge plus! I'll definitely be going back next time I am in town.

Get one of those square biscuits and the cinnamon roll! Must try! The biscuit was buttery and melt in your mouth and cinnamon roll had perfect amount of icing. The location is perfect--right on Franklin Street and super convenient if you're out hitting the shops. Definitely give them a try!

Everything was seasoned well, what was supposed to be crispy was very crispy, what was supposed to be rich was very rich. The reason I rate this place 5 stars is because of the creativity in their drumsticks. Although I know I'm not having chicken, it basically tasted like chicken. It had a wonderfully crispy outer skin, and they even put a thick skewer stick in the middle of it to simulate a chicken bone.
