After a 7 hour drive I was thrilled to have some Indian food. It's all laid out in heated trays so you can see it, from the rice to the butter chicken and paneer. Things were also labeled with spice levels, which was nice for someone not keen on super spicy food. Everything looked good, though it was $20 for a small cup of paneer, a garlic naan, and a veggie samosa. The garlic naan paired so well the with the paneer sauce, no complaints there. Took the samosa to go and ate it at the hotel later; it was average. The lady who served me seemed bored, though it was near 7:30pm on a Wednesday so I kind of get it. Service was fast since I was the only one there. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to try the butter chicken. Above average from the standard mall fare both in quality and price. read more

I'm so glad we chanced on this amazing food kiosk at the Crabtree Mall! I ordered lamb biryani and the chicken kothu parota and they gave me a small serving of raita. Also, so glad the owners of the place stayed a little late for me for me to get my orders. So let's go on with the food grades I'd give the biryani an A. Perfectly spiced and flavored and the fresh caraway and carom seeds mixed in provided that amazing aromatic flavor that made this dish so intoxicatingly delicious. The chicken dish was okay. A little too greasy but serviceable. B-. The raita side dish was just as I remembered it. It was tart, citrusy and creamy all at the same time. I give it an A. I am giving this restaurant 5 stars not just because of the food, but how they treated us at 15 minutes to close on Christmas Eve. First time we've visited there and we were going to surprise our daughter with dinner after work. The lady and man were so kind. They had run out of Naan and had already closed the kitchen down...but made fresh Naan for us anyway. It was VERY much appreciated. The food looked and smelled wonderful! The food is home made and there is buffet or made to order and both options were super fresh! We had dosas with veggies and soup and a rice bowl. The family was really nice to is, very patient and explained all the different foods to us. This is at the food court so your typical dining set up but this place is so worth it. read more

Very nice man that served me. The food looked so good had a hard time choosing. Then I saw the deal, three meats with rice under $10. This is the way to go. He gave me so much food I took it home and still had two more meals. I choose Butter, Tikka Masale and Curry all Chicken and basmati rice. Everything was very good but it did need salt and there was no heat. But the flavors are there. I also had a Veg samosa that was good. Can't remember the name of the brown sauce but it is sweet and yummy. He gave that to me since he did not have any mango chutney. He only has mint. My only regret is that I did not try the Mango Lassi. If you like Indian food and want lots of it for a reasonable price this is the place to go. The table next to me saw the food and asked about it. By the time we left they had ordered the same thing. Yes, it is that appealing to look at and makes you want to purchase.... so go it at the Crabtree Mall food court. read more

Wow I am impressed! Not just food court-good, but legitimately good Indian food at food court prices. I just got the rice bowl with the curries on the hot table because we didn't want to wait (mcds for the kids next door). Butter chicken very lovely and creamy and flavorful, veggie curry spicy delicious, veggie biryani had the seeds and flavor you want, chicken Tikka masala hit the spot. Worth a visit! read more

Surprisingly, some of the best Indian food in Raleigh is at Pandya Nad at the Crabtree Valley Mall food court. I was skeptical to eat here, but am so glad I tried it. I really enjoy their butter chicken and naan, but if you want something really special, go for the masala dosa. The buttery curry potato feeling is the perfect complement to the dosa. It is huge and very filling. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Definitely check it out if you're looking to try something new in the mall. GREAT Indian food! I'm here visiting from a small town and we hit the mall today. I used to live in the city and MISS Indian food something fierce. THIS PLACE IS DELIC! I ate the GLUTEN FREE & VEGAN vegetable curry with rice. You won't be disappointed. I have a TON of food restrictions and was able to eat at the mall! And it was sooooooo good! This isn't your typical Mall Food Court type of place. They are legit! The chicken is super flavorful I had the rice bowl with the tikka masala and the butter chicken. This is way better than I would ever expect from a mall food court. The dishes are spiced well and not blanked down to American tastes. Had some great chicken 65 and a veggie curry. It was great. Lots of flavors. And get the naan. They make it when you order it, it's amazing. read more

I typically never expect much from mall food and typically stick with the chains that I trust & can expect consistent quality from, but Pandya Nad was on point! The curries are flavorful, and they even have a house curry featuring some more traditional spices and flavors. We also had the butter chicken. A welcome change of cuisine in the busy Crabtree Valley Mall! I wasn't seeking this place out, but noticed it out of the corner of my eye when I was looking for a quick bite to eat while out with my family. I was looking for something different -- something other than the usual fast food or Asian options -- and this certainly fit the bill! We had an order of Manchurian Chicken and a bowl with fried rice and 1 side (Palak Paneer, a dish with cheese cubes in a savory sauce made of mostly spinach). We added on a "parotta", which I figured was an alternative spelling of paratha (a thin type of flatbread). The chicken was SO GOOD, nice and spicy and definitely a great choice if your need to clear your sinuses! The fried rice was a spin on Asian fried rice but with an Indian twist. It was flavored so nicely and was worth the 50 cent upcharge from plain rice. The palak paneer could have been a bit more flavorful but the cheese cubes/paneer were good and plentiful. The absolute surprise was the parotta -- I wanted it to be filled with potato (aloo paratha that I'm used to), but it was plain, but absolutely flakey, tender and delicious! Make sure the parotta is fresh, though, because once it gets colder, it's chewy and not so good. One request if the owner reads this -- desserts, please? I saw the lassi and rose milk (yum, but I passed on it this time), but maybe add ras malai or gulab jamen to the menu? I wish this business much success and will definitely seek it out when I'm at Crabtree again. read more

Yummm!! New favorite spot in the food court! For the cost of a Big Mac meal you can get rice with three dishes. Everything we tried was delicious! Several kinds of Naan made fresh. We had to go back and buy more because it was that good. Kids went nuts over the Lassi. Great service too. This is goinF to be a regular stop for us. read more
