The vegetarian thali lunch was delicious and affordable! Their complimentary ginger tea is also wonderful.

Clean but sparse interior with some regional Buddhist decorations. Friendly and fast service. I went for lunch and ordered the Veggie Thali. It was delicious, I especially liked the dal. It filled me up and was really more than I could eat. A great value at $11.99. Before my order arrived they brought out a crispy lentil cracker with onion curry or chutney. The meal also can with a ton of tasty naan.

With the quality of food and service and the value of this lunch special, I was shocked to find the restaurant relatively empty on a Thursday at noon. Food came out so fast and came with complimentary jasmine tea. Run don't walk here!!! Amazing!

***FOOD: 2.5 stars really. overall food was ok. Momo Dumplings were very good; free papadum- ok; saag paneer- was ok; lamb mango curry -ok; chicken tikka masala -ok; fried rice- requested no vegetables but ended up with vegetables- so that was a no go. Mango lassi- wasn't sweet enough. Naan- was very plain. Overall I have had better indian food. Also saw a giant ant / beetle / bug climbing up and down the wall of the booth next to us. ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $$ ***DÉCOR: weird mix with their glass crystal Versaillesque chandeliers & Home Depot outdoor patio lights, booths are a plus. ***SERVICE: server didn't speak English very well nor do I think she understood us hence the mix up with one of our dishes. Took a long time for food to be served.

    Papad w/onions to kickstart palette

Feb 2024: I selected the restaurant to enjoy a meal of good food while meeting a friend for a leisurely lunch and conversation. The food was brought in shifts. I realized two people bringing the food but if the used a tray like other restaurants do it would be quicker but they do not so 2 people carry the food. We shifted the food to arrange it on the table to spread it out! It is a lot of food, feel free to bring your own to go containers to pack up leftover. The rice is plentiful and everything was freshly made and hot, even spice level mild, While we were speaking, the check arrived. I cannot recall if we were asked about dessert or coffee. Of course, I ordered my usual to go as I normally do and asked my friend if they wanted the same and we continued catching up. A short time later, the owner walked by our table and said "we are closing!" On the weekend, the hours posted on the door show from open to close and no break mid-day! I looked at the time and also noticed the row of guests in booths eating also. Based on this experience and two issues, I would rate experience at 3.5 stars only deduction (.5) for mishap of food coming out and (1) for telling guests closing by coming around versus posted hours on the entrance door. Of course, if a situation only reason closing early, a note posted at the door would have been appropriate. Overall 3.5 stars Food 5 stars Jan 2024: This place may not be ideally located, but worth the drive. I am a regular and don't even need to see the menu as the uncle knows my exact order and to space the food out so that it doesn't come out all at once! Papad with onions comes out to start the experience and awaken the palette! Please bring the cheese pakora back on the menu for those dining in especially on the weekend. Or if you can just make it for me PLEASE! I miss the peas on rice also! A lovely addition on the menu would be some salad. Fortunately, when ordering the chicken tikka on the sizzling cast iron the bottom has lettuce, so I find eating it moving the chicken and onions around to be satisfying. Trying to eat healthy and prefer fresh or steamed veggies versus pakora. Exception for the cheese pakora! Feel free to bring your own containers to pack up leftovers. Always delicious and plentiful! I order to go Kulfi with the Himalayan coffee -- delicious drink! Kulfi good at end of meal, light and refreshing. If you need suggestion what to order and order Naan. Mango lassi Cheese Pakora Chicken Pakora Gobi Manchurian Chicken Tikka Chicken Coconut Curry Kheer Guab Jamun Kulfi Kulfi in Himalayan Coffee Pick your spice level and even the lunch specials would be a good way to sample or share some momos. My husband says this is the best tomato soup he has had! The restaurant inside had a slight makeover and one thing for sure they have a take out service that always seems busy! Solid 5 stars for casual and family friendly location. Good price and value, please bring back some of the favorites especially on weekends. Establishment welcomes patrons new and regulars when entering and thanks when existing. Keep up the great food and community vibes!

    Naan Bread Basket

I wish I had taken more photos, but I was too busy enjoying all of the flavors . We ordered a variety of dishes: curry chicken, daal, naan bread basket, chicken saag, Chana masala, etc. My favorite so far was the curry chicken, simply because the flavor balance was beautiful. A quick word of caution: if you can't handle spicy food, go with mild. I love spicy food, but the medium here was fairly strong (for me). I loved every bite though! Overall, I'll have to add this to my list of restaurants to visit more frequently.

    Shahi Paneer Korma

Such a gem!!!! This is tucked into a shopping center and such a lovely find. Seating was quick and the owner's son came by to help w/ ordering and pairing items for dinner. The chef is so talented- the spice level and flavour profiles were breathe taking and not too much- my eat companions would've noticed The mango lamb curry 10000% recommend even if you just get that curry base and switch out a veg/protein you'll be so happy. It's not so sweet as to be off putting and satisfaction in the savoury department. Similar, situation with the Shahi paneer korma though it's lighter and refreshing so balanced the curry selected well. There were plenty of leftovers too, so two apps are definitely enough for some hungry plenty to leave happy

Great service, quick and happy to serve! They do not skimp on amount of food either. The price you pay here is great compared to west coast. Lots of thick pork, charred, and lots of noodles and toppings. High quality blended chili oil was also a surprise. We'll be back! I ordered Spicy #2 but I think a great order is to try the tonkatsu regular and the spicy #3, order the side of chili oil! Thanks team! Very good job

Nice little shop, fun artwork on the walls themed to the store, simple counter order and they bring it out when ready. Unfortunately for me, they had a lot of options I wanted to try, we ended up with the edamame, some pork belly cheese fries, and since it was warmer we went with rice options instead of ramen. I got the tonkatsu rice bowl and she got the Japanese curry rice bowl. Between the appetizer and the meal we were both unable to finish and I enjoyed it the next day as a left over. They have a great self service option for take away containers which I appreciated, except my skills of 'dumping from bowl into container' were less than stellar. While we probably won't be back often as they're a 45m drive from our normal haunts for a 'whats open after 8pm on a Friday' they were a welcomely pleasant surprise and quite good.

The delicious smells wafting through the restaurant immediately let me know that I was in the right place. I ordered the Fatty Beef Szechuan Hotpot Yunnan Rice Noodle & Fried Dumplings. Both arrived in no time, and were piping hot on a cold winter's day. The fried dumplings were crispy, not at all greasy, and filled with very flavorful filling, coupled with a perfectly paired dipping sauce. The hotpot... oh, the hotpot, was filled with pillowy fried tofu, fatty and tender beef, cabbage, wood ear mushroom shreds, seaweed, bean sprouts, and a ton of noodles. All of this was swimming in some of the most amazing Szechuan peppercorn broth that was spicy, but not numbing and not overpowering. It was the perfect broth to wrap each ingredient in flavor. After I finished all of the delicious beef and veggies, I went for the noodles. I never really new what "bouncy" meant when describing noodles until today. They were truly bouncy in with every bite, silky smooth, tender but with a little bit of bite to them. I ate every morsel that I could fit in my stomach and not explode... this was the perfect winter dish for this South Florida eater.

The quail egg was the heart of it. Got the bone broth this time. While the broth is good, it's not great to the point I'd crave for this. I'm honestly not a big fan of the rice noodles but they went well with the broth. My girl got the noodle dish with the beef tripe, and we also ordered beef tripe for appetizer and milky rice cake for dessert. The beef tripe is one of our favorite appetizers, and it's perfect with Japanese beer. The noodles are a bit spicy but the spice level was adjusted low to my girl's liking. The rice cakes were good but not the best we've tried. It's something we'd order again though. For 2 people, we ended up spending around $50, including tips, so reasonably priced but not as satisfying as a dim sum dinner. | Overall Score: | Overall Score: 4.1/5

Ironically, I went here because I rarely get out to eat and the service has always been consistent. 1. There was no one at the cash register and an employee who was just about to go on break took my order. He was polite enough but I found out later that he put in the wrong order. 2. There were no tables that I saw that were wiped off. Some had the dishes removed but I needed to wipe off a table. 3. A cockroach scrambled across the floor near my table to the left of the coffee station. I wish I was joking, or seeing things but I wasn't the only person who saw it. One of the female employees went toward it and stepped on it but since it was headed toward my table, I moved. 4. It was really hot in there. Maybe not AC completely broken hot, but AC on the struggle bus hot. There was a large fan in the back dining room that wasn't doing much of anything except redistributing humidity. 5. I ordered an avocado toast with bacon and got delivered a grilled cheese sandwich. The server took it back but then I needed to ask for the bacon. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture because the same dish on Sunday was so elaborate and beautifully presented and the same order today was just meh. Not a good value for the price. I will say the server correcting someone else's mistake was clearly overwhelmed but doing her best. She was also the cockroach killer. I ate my lunch and read my book. My intention had been to linger a while and read but I decided to leave. The place was about 1/4 full when I left but all the tables still had crumbs, food debris and water on them made it too unpleasant to stick around. Very disappointing. I don't see myself going back any time soon. I do love their bread but I'm sure I can find someplace more pleasant or go to the downtown location instead.
