Had a fantastic lunch here on a beautiful day. I ordered the chicken vindaloo and it was excellent--rich, bold, and full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. Really satisfying with the rice and fresh naan. The space is clean, modern, and comfortable with lots of natural light. Service was quick and easy, and parking was no issue. I actually came here on the recommendation of an auto tech across the street while getting an oil change--and he was absolutely right. Great call. This is a great lunch or dinner spot. 5 stars. Solid portion and quality for the price. Clean and quiet atmosphere helpful staff. We will be back. We think they could get 5 starts if their food was spicier. We love spicy and we're underwhelmed with the butter chicken. Flavor was good but heavy on the cream for our liking. Lovely Indian restaurant. The place is spacious, casual yet comfortable. The service was excellent and very fast. The food was amazing. You have an option of mild, Medium, hot or very hot- choose wisely. The mild is still a little spicy! Every item was delicious. (3.5 but i rounded up) i got takeout from this place last weekend, ordered paneer biryani, malai kofta, and double ka meetha. the food was ready really quickly. although i didn't eat in, i really liked the space and the outdoor seating, which i had no idea was so spacious. for the food- everything tasted fine, but occasionally not exactly like what the dish should be. the malai sauce especially was not quite right, and the onion flavor was overpowering in that dish. i like onions, so i still really liked it, but it was not 100% like malai kofta. i liked the biryani though, even though i'm not usually a fan. this was the first time i have ever had double ka meetha, so i am not sure what it is supposed to taste like, but i was underwhelmed. it didn't feel sufficiently sweet to me, and the rose flavor was extremely extremely weak- maybe that is what it's supposed to taste like!- but afterward i just craved gulab jamun. overall i did like the food and i would love to try something that is more of a house special. read more

The Tawa Lamb Biryani was delicious. It was moist and flavorful without being too spicy. Some of the lamb pieces were a little tough, but some were succulent. The Goat Biryani was moist, flavorful and with succulent meat on bone pieces. It was a take out order. read more

This was my first time trying biryani so I got the vegetable one and the lunch chicken special. The lunch special comes with naan and various sauces. The presentation is beautiful and the flavors are very aromatic. It was just a bit too spicy for me even though it was mild/medium. It is better if you pay cash to save the 4% credit card fees. We went to Biryani Maxx after a while and were pleasantly surprised. It used to be primarily a takeout place. However they have renovated and has a dine in experience. We ordered chicken drumsticks, tandoori chicken and Hyderabad Biryani. The drum sticks were average. But the tandoor chicken was amazing. It was tender, succulent and very tasty. Probably one of the best tandoori chicken I've had in a while. The Hyderabad chicken biryani was excellent. Make sure you ask for the bone in version if you don't want it to be too spicy. The food had all the right flavors and had all come together really well. Added bonus - the food is well priced. Definitely recommend. read more

What a rip off! You're telling me 18$ dollar butter chicken has 3 small pieces of chicken? I've never felt so ripped off in my life. Spent 110$ and all 4 of us were still hungry. The biryani was the only decent item that we got. The butter chicken wasn't rich in flavor and tasted diluted. The chicken 65 on the other hand was super wet and the chicken was tough. The chicken must have been sitting around for a few hours and then they stir fry. Not something you should be serving in my opinion. read more

By far, the best biryani place in Cary / Morrisville area!!! I got the Hyderabadi chicken dum Biryani and Gongura Chicken. The biryani was just perfect with perfect blend of spices and the chicken was perfectly cooked! Even the Nizams would be impressed. Gongura chicken was also perfectly cooked and delicious. I've been trying sooo many Indian restaurants in Cary to find which one I love best & this one of my top choices. My go to order is chicken tiki masala and garlic naan which came out to roughly $20 for the entree and side. Both were delicious. I felt that the masala sauce was more coconuty and packed with flavor. I tried it at the spice level medium and that was just right. The garlic naan was also hot and fresh. Reason for 4 stars is because I've been able to share this dish with one other person and we'd both be full at other restaurants. They seem to give smaller portions of meat with more sauce at this location. read more

Best biryani in the Triangle. We don't usually come here because it is out of the way for us but when we are on this side of town we ALWAYS make sure to get food here. We recently came and got the lamb sheek kabobs and chicken dum biryani. The ground lamb is tender and spicy. It pairs so well with the red onions and chutney that it is served with. This is a MUST. The biryani rice is flavorful and cooked perfectly with the chicken on the bottom that is so flavorful. It's not too spicy. I usually eat my biryani with the yogurt sauce but it's not necessary. They are by far the best biryani restaurant in the area. they also have Momos which I love & "normal" Indian fare. Most recently I ordered a potato app which reminded me of chicken 65 but with potatoes and I think I'll have to add it to every order. It's spicy, but a great spicy. After they reopened with expansion, the quality had gone downhill because of being busy and confused. They need to slow down and improve the quality. If not, they will go down soon. Remember to bring a friend. The portion is large enough to satisfy two adults. I always got the Aloo Gobi Masala ($11.99) and the butter naan ($1.99) the past two times I've been here. Delicious biryani. Well spiced and not over the top but with great flavors and not just bones. We ordered one chicken and one goat - surprisingly tender meat. The Naan was excellent, maybe a tad oily for me but definitely delicious hot (and thankfully not charred and delicately thin). The sauce was yummy - I put it on everything since it enhanced the savory flavors of the biryani. Not much seating and definitely looked to be mainly for take out. There are outdoor tables though. I've heard about this place for a while and FINALLY made it. I wish I came around sooner. My friend and I decided to split the food, the best way to taste more stuff on the menu. Of course, I had to have biryani, so I tried the Hyderabadi dum chicken biryani, it's so delicious. I asked for medium spice which I personally didn't think was spicy. We also order Dal Thadka with a side of garlic naan. The garlic naan was delicious but then again I'm a sucker for garlic naan. The dal tadkha which I thought was good but don't think my friend enjoyed the tadhka part much. The staff is really friendly and courteous, definitely worth eating from here.
