Tried Feng Cha's new Ube Matcha latte for the first time, which cost around $8 with the boba at 75% sugar level, and I was slightly dissatisfied. First, here are the positives: + Combination of ube and matcha give the drink a Dubai chocolate-like taste. + Fast and more friendly (compared to a few times before customer service. + Relaxing atmosphere with bright and welcoming decorations. And here's a major negative: - For an $8+ drink (including boba), the size just does not justify it. Base price without boba is around $7 but wish they included a free topping already. Compare that to Bobo Baba - which has similar price range - you just get more bang for your buck there. Would I order this again? 50% sure just to let my wife and her mother taste it for content. But me? I might stick to Feng Cha's brown sugar and mango drinks, which were more satisfying. read more

Visited NC over the weekend and a friend recommended we come here for Boba. The interior was really big and clean and I believe they just had their third anniversary. Parking is a little hard to find and you might have to park a little further if the lot in the front is full. I ordered the coffee milk tea with grass jelly. Pricing is reasonable for the size. Feng Cha had their soft opening today and it was busy! The staff were friendly and with all of the orders, they remained professional and contained (I personally would have been so stressed)! I ordered the Taro Milk Tea with Grass Jelly and the Taro Chocolate dessert. Both were great and I loved the grass jelly! It was refreshing and didn't actually taste like grass. The shop itself is beautifully decorated and they did a phenomenal job with creating a peaceful ambiance. I personally liked the rocks on the floor by the cash register. I did buy their card that's $20 and allows you 7 drinks, one from each part of the drink menu (tea, special, milk, etc). It's a great deal for those wanting to try out the menu! This is my stepdaughter's favorite boba spot; she asks for it all the time. Her favorite is the dirty boba. My favorite is the taro milk tea with 25% sugar and no ice. The taro flavor is smooth and earthy. My husband likes the dragon fruit tea. It's a cute place with a few board games. So I stopped by Feng Cha kinda late like, right before they were about to close. I felt a little bad walking in, not gonna lie, but I really wanted something sweet to end the night. I was expecting a "we're closing soon" kind of vibe, but the worker couldn't have been nicer. Instead of rushing me or making me feel like a bother, they greeted me with a smile and actually took the time to help me pick a drink. I had no idea what I wanted (I was tired and indecisive lol), but they asked what flavors I liked and gave me a solid recommendation. Ended up getting a matcha latte with cheese foam and it was so good. Even while they were cleaning up, they still made me feel welcome, like I wasn't just squeezing in a last-minute order. Feng Cha is one of my favorite places for boba in the triangle. It holds the same rank as Sip Cha as both are my #1 spots to go. The boba is here is always good quality. Which to me, this means it's always soft, chewy, and perfectly sweetened. My favorite drinks here are the creme brulee where they take an actual torch out to brulee your drink and the mango fantasy which has sago instead of boba. Whenever I come here I stick to drinks. I recently visited this location with two friends and had a great time with delicious boba drinks! The inside of this boba shop is super cute and very aesthetically pleasing, and they have a good amount of seating inside for different group sizes. I'm not a big caffeine person so I went for the strawberry breeze which consisted of milk, strawberry puree, and lychee jelly. This was the perfect refreshing drink and I could definitely tell that the strawberry puree / slush portion of the drink was fresh! One of my friends tried the mango breeze which had a thicker smoothie-like consistency vs. the strawberry breeze had more of a milk tea consistency so keep that in mind. My friends and I ended up spending about 2 hours inside playing Sushi Go, and the ambiance / environment was fantastic. Feng cha continues to be one of my top boba spots in the triangle. Drinks are super unique and fresh. I especially love their fruit teas; the fruit flavor is super fresh and doesn't taste artificial at all! Service is quick. Have been following their progress on FB. This is a new upscale boba tea & Asian dessert shop in Park West right by the theater. They have the space where Starbucks used to be. They aren't officially open yet til May but is open for their soft opening. They don't have the desserts available until their opening in May. The interior was very trendy, clean and modern...perfect place to meet friends, date night or to get some work done. There were plenty of small grouped seating in the front of the shop, with some cozier seating at the back of the store. Front counter was also very clean and esthetically pleasing. Menu was a bit overwhelming at first (it's a good thing) since there were tons of great looking choices. We ordered 2 drinks - jasmine apple green tea & bursting dragon fruit...both with crystal boba. Staff behind the counter was very efficient at getting the drinks out. Highly recommend both drinks that we got. It was the right level of sweetness and had great flavor. With so many boba places opening up around town, this is definitely one of the better ones. I've been meaning to try Feng Cha for a while so I recently placed an order via Grubhub. Even with a somewhat delayed delivery, the food and drink held up well. Both my tea and cake were enjoyable and I think this is one of the nicer boba places in the Triangle. I got the matcha love cake and the four seasons tea with sea salt milk cap and matcha crystal boba. It's not a stretch to say that I've had boba drinks from all over the world. Any time I travel, if there is a boba shop in my vicinity I will try it out. With that said, I've NEVER seen matcha crystal boba before so I knew I had to try it. The texture was unaffected and the boba was cute and green. The flavor was a bit lighter than I had hoped, but it still gave the boba a nice earthy flavor. The one downside for me was that the syrup from the boba ended up affecting the flavor of my tea, and I honestly tasted more matcha in my drink than in the boba itself. It would be delicious in a matcha drink though! The sea salt foam was less creamy than I would have liked, but the tea was really nice. I asked for 50% sweetness and while it was still a bit sweet for me, I could taste the tea and it was smooth and strong. I really enjoyed the matcha love cake but be aware that for what you get, it was quite pricy. The cake was the size of my palm, and hollow in the middle to boot. It was not too sweet and the texture reminded me of the fluffy cakes I used to buy at Asian bakeries. The matcha cream was super tasty. It was super tasty but over $7 for a few mouthfuls didn't feel too good. It's definitely a nice treat but not something I will order again. I think I would have been between three and four stars, had this Feng Cha been in CA. However, taking location into consideration, I'm pretty impressed by the quality of their tea and the variety that they offer. I'm definitely interested in trying their fruit teas and other best sellers in the future! read more

I've tried their other drinks too, but the brown sugar boba still reigns king. Feng Cha has a larger variety of fruit-based drinks than I've seen at other boba places, but I don't usually go for those. But for those who prefer fruit over milk-based, they have some cool flavors like dragonfruit and kiwi. At $5-6.50 per drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for boba. They only have one size and personally, I think it's the perfect amount to share! The taro flavor is prevalent and sweet, and the icy slush is so refreshing. The purple color is also stunning. Thai Milk Tea: A great drink with a classic Thai tea flavor! It pairs nicely with boba. Matcha Breeze: A refreshing way to enjoy Matcha. The Matcha flavor is spot on and sweet. Kiwi Basil Green Tea: A green, fruit based tea with kiwi and basil. This drink is pretty sour, but the kiwi chunks provide a great texture, which makes this an interesting drink. Dirty Boba: A great drink with classic milk tea and boba with brown sugar drizzled along the sides of the cup. This drink is more mellow than the other ones, but still tastes good. Not only does Feng Cha look amazing, but their menu items taste amazing as well. The service is spectacular and they're quick to help, both in real life and in emails/social media. Ordered via door dash and our orders were correct, and for the most part we liked the flavor of our drinks. I usually get a plain milk tea or matcha green tea at my usual boba spots, but was pleasantly surprised by the unique flavor of their Thai Milk Tea. Next time I'll get mine half as sweet though since you can fully customize. My husband's Summer Melon drink had a good flavor as well, and not as sweet which I enjoyed, but he said had a sour note that wasn't his favorite. Sooo good. Was coincidentally in the area for lunch and saw this boba place I somehow hadn't seen before. Though some of the workers are quiet they are super fast so it's honestly not an issue-just watch the counter if you're not waiting in a line because they're so fast at making drinks haha. I wasn't sure what was in it beyond what's usually in dirty boba but there was a nice layer of milk foam on top that just complimented the drink perfectly and wasn't too sweet on its own. The interior is also super cute and classy with cute astronaut decorations on one large wall haha. One thing to note is the drinks are seriously sweet-perfect for me but my boyfriend prefers his taro boba with 50% sweetness (although he enjoyed 75 as well). Two drinks were about 13.50$ which is a great price for the size/speed/quality of the drink. I wish I could visit more. They have a decent amount of seating, and most of the chairs are cozy with some harder plastic ones. All of the drinks are beautiful! However, I felt they're too watery and not as flavorful as similar places I've been to. The worker wasn't very helpful either, he was nice, just not helpful in explaining things.
