I returned and showed to owner/manager who said it was from fresh mangoes. ...maybe it was shredded mango pit?? My hubby and I had already drank about 1/2 of it, noticing the hairlike debris. Great flavors to choose from! We got goods ones but need to try more flavors next time. The regular boba's not as sweet or good as the ones most use for brown sugar milk teas, but okay. For those who know what ube halaya is, the one they use in the Ube Meets Taro is far away from it. This one tastes like sweet potato but purple, just what a regular taro taste like I guess. This strip mall place was quite busy, and brought the full diversity of people in this part of North Carolina. I was tempted by a tea flavored with summer grapes. They asked if I wanted toppings and I took it with just the grape because I was also getting a waffle. It was a tasty tea, though I expect that paying for some sort of jelly would have enhanced the experience. The waffle I got came on a stick and was a bit gooey and hard to eat, but did deliver on the promised strawberry and matcha flavors. I've visited the Cary location quite a few times and was excited to see this one close by to where I was today. The Apex location is much bigger and more up-to-date in appearance. It's decently sized and bright, lots of seating and the ambiance is fun. The staff are all friendly and quick, even with it being super busy! At this location, they have their usual drink menu, rolled ice cream, macarons, waffles, and they even have cheesecake (which I only saw after I ordered...next time)! Everything was clean here and the staff had a great system to contain a clean and organized area while making drink after drink. I'm obsessed with the Ube Meets Taro drink after my husband ordered one from the last place. The drinks were made exactly as the last time we had them. We ordered 2 bubble teas and 2 rolled ice creams. Right after we ordered, a wave of customers arrived. We got the 2 teas within a minute or two. The staff then proceeded to wait on every other customer before making our rolled ice cream. We did not get our rolled ice cream until 30 minutes after the teas. So half our party was long done with their teas before we got the rest of the order. Extremely frustrating. I get that it was busy and they were understaffed, but we had already ordered and paid. Second time coming here and definitely a hidden gem in the triangle. I got their rose milk tea and it has been by far the best rose flavored milk tea I've gotten. They add real rose pedals and have the actual tea bag in the drink, something I have not seen other boba shops do. Do be careful because this is a very sweet drink and comes only in large. The atmosphere here is great with a couple tables inside and outlets as well. I personally liked their neon signs. The staff were also helpful and friendly helping make a decision. I went with the pineapple lychee tea and added popping mango boba. It was delicious except it was full of pulp. I personally find pulp texturally abhorbant, so this was a star removed. I stopped by after work and purchased SipCha Milk Tea and It's So Fruity Fruit Tea both with boba. In a previous visit I have tried their Berry Berry Good Milk Cap Tea and Persimmon Boba Tea. We enjoyed all of the drinks we have tried here. My fiancé prefers their milk teas, while I enjoy their fruited teas. They use fresh and occasionally seasonal/local fruit. Ever since I found this place, it has become my go to place for bubble tea. My first bubble tea was in at the street market in Taiwan. I have tried many locations there and some in the triangle. This is my favorite place. I order 1/2 sweet. The texture of the boba is the best. It is the perfect level of chewiness, but not too soft or firm. My husband gets the brown sugar. The kids get the rolled ice-cream. They offer as many variety toppings as you like. There is a wide variety of flavors to please any palate. (Green tea, cheese cake, mint, banana split, piña colada, coffee, matcha to name a few). Check out the menu. I took my nephew here once. He ordered the mochi waffle. I am hooked now. He loved the place and said they should put a place like this in Boston (where he goes to college). It would be so popular there. The staff are friendly. The ambience young and hip. There are phone charging ports, and games to play with (or, rainbow timeline tower, board games). I noticed on the past 2 yrs, SipCha has become extremely popular. Sometimes the line is really long, especially in the summer. They sell Sipcha merch like hoodies and sweaters. I got a hoodie here and it was high quality/thick matrial. The boba competition in the triangle region is fierce, I feel like I see a new store pop up every few months. I've probably had way more boba than any doctor recommends in my lifetime and I would say that sip cha is above average. We ordered ube meets taro and rose peach oolong boba. The ube meets taro has mashed ube, liquid taro milk tea, and a milk cap. The presentation is literal art but it was frustrating trying to scrape the ube off the sides of the cup. The milk cap was foamy instead of the signature rich, creamy texture. The rose peach oolong was good - though sip cha leaves the tea bag in the drink, which I found really strange... If the boba was cooked down more and mixed with brown sugar syrup I would've liked the drink more. Gave an extra star since they have board games which was a nice touch, my boyfriend and I enjoyed a game of UNO while finishing our drinks. My cousins and I were craving some boba so we decided to check this place out! I've never tried any boba places in the Cary, NC area since I'm from Florida, so I was super excited to try something new. There was a huge line as soon as we got there so I took that as a good sign- people must like this place! And after the first sip of my rose milk tea.. I understood why I'm not a fan of super sweet things so I got 50% sugar and it was perfect. The aloe jelly was also a great consistency and tasted extremely fresh. Easily one of the best places for boba tea in Apex. Was happy to see that they have strict covid-19 protocols in place. They only allow limited number of people inside (8). The ordering is super convenient and they get the drinks ready quickly too, so you are in and out in no time. The space is open, welcoming, and clean. There's space to sit inside, but since we were only getting boba, it was easier to get our drinks to-go. The person at the counter was so friendly. My husband and I got brown sugar boba and rose milk tea respectively, and thoroughly enjoyed both our drinks. I loved the texture of the boba and this was one of the few boba places that I have tried recently where I have enjoyed all the aspects of the drink. I can't believe we haven't been to SipCha in all our years in the Triangle. Apex is generally out of our way for most Boba drinks but this place is certainly worth the drive no matter how close or far away you are! Tucked away in the Beaver Creek Commons, SipCha offers some outrageously good boba teas, bubble teas and milk fruit teas! The options are numerous and the flavors do not disappoint. I ended up getting the classic Brown Sugar bubble tea with a Milk Cap (which by the way you can add to pretty much any drink as an addition!) but I did a slight twist and instead of adding the classic Boba balls, I added some blueberry popping bubbles, and wow was it good! My wife got the Rose Milk Tea with Milk Cap and the Boba which was excellent as well! We will certainly be back to try their other flavors and also their rolled ice-creams too!
