I stopped in for 2 Dubai Chocolate bars. I was asked if I wanted dark chocolate or milk chocolate. I said one of each, paid over $40, took the bars home and opened them both as this was my family's first time trying this only to break off the one we thought was dark chocolate to find the inside brown instead of green. It was a Biscoff bar. It tasted okay, but it was not at all what I ordered. Especially for $20+ a bar. The actual Dubai bar was delicious and we are hooked. My granddaughter had told me about this place, but only referred to it as the boba tea place, which holds zero interest for me. But when a friend and I decided to try Lemongrass Thai a few doors down, he spotted this place. A few weeks ago after being stuffed at Lemongrass, the 3 of us (10 year old granddaughter went as well), wondered down and oh my. When you walk in they greet you, when you need help, they offer it. My friend is hooked on the ice cream dessert that's peanut butter and chocolate, my granddaughter the mint one, while I've tried the Nutella one, but switched to the gold something or other yesterday and now it's going to be a hard decision. We want once and she wanted to try the peanut butter one (she's allergic to nuts, but can eat peanut butter now after years of not), and they made my Nutella one first, so she had an allergic reaction. Yesterday, I mentioned this and they cleaned the board where they roll the ice cream and made hers first. Without asking, if you order more than it's obvious you're going to eat there, they'll set them in the freezer. They have that Dubai chocolate, and even have heart shaped ones so you can try it without spending $20 on a large bar. The friend is hooked, but I've yet to try it. I let the other granddaughter know I could bring her something and she ordered the Triple T boba..............don't even ask, but apparently she's been enough to know what she wants there. Although the desserts are amazing, items are made as you order, so those rolled ice creams take a while, so plan your time for that. What a fun spot! After seeing the photos on Yelp, I knew I had to head in with my son. We went on a Saturday early afternoon and they got busy quickly. The only downside was there was only one employee working, I believe he was the owner. So the wait did get really long for folks since he had to do everything at once. Making the rolled ice cream definitely takes a hot minute so it isn't the fastest experience. I love how they put the stools in front of the rolled ice cream window so that kids can watch the fun. My son loved standing up there and seeing his ice cream get made. The owner was great at engaging with my son while he rolled the ice cream. The ice cream itself was creamy and tasty. I'm a little disappointed in this place but I feel like it's mostly my fault. I went in and ordered a jasmine milk tea and the lady said they only do green milk teas. I didn't realize it was just gonna taste like matcha. It was good for what it was but I don't really like matcha like that . This drink was so unique and delicious! I got oat milk instead of regular milk so idk what normal milk would taste like with it, since it's 1/2 coconut milk and 1/2 milk. Went here for a quick snack on a Sunday afternoon. I wanted a tea drink and my husband ordered the ice cream. I love to watch rolled ice cream be made. It's something relaxing about seeing it get to the final product that looks so great even those it starts off at just a liquid with some add ins. My husband had no complaints and I tried a bite and it was yummy. My mango tea was very good and I ordered extra tapioca pearls. It was not very busy for a Sunday after so we got our items very quick and we were like the only one inside the store. The workers were nice, not overly friendly but just quick good service. Wow wow wow wow everything about this WOW. I have been on a mission to try the famed "rolled ice cream" and I'm both happy and sad that Champloo was my first experience. Happy because it was LITERALLY the best, but sad because I'm pretty sure now, nothing will compare to this golden standard. I had gone to dinner with friends in the area and we were on the lookout for a dessert place that had options for my dairy free friend, and we hit the jackpot. They have a dairy free option for the rolled ice cream and you can also indulge in one of their fruit teas, or a milk tea made with almond milk. The space is fairly small, but there are a few tables inside where you can watch the staff make the rolled ice cream as well as some outside seating. For those who don't know, this is a technique that originated in Thailand, where sweet cream and your choice of mix ins is combined, and then spread across a freezing cold surface and then scraping the frozen cream into perfect little rolls! There were so many house creations to choose from, as well as create your own options! We'll start with the boba. Hands down, best boba I've ever had. My go to order is usually a coconut milk tea, so I opted to order the coconut splash: a coconut milk tea with blueberry pearls and strawberry purée. It was literally perfect! Great flavors, the sweetness was right on for me, and the presentation was great too! My friend ordered the Gamora (green tea with strawberry pearls and strawberry purée) and this one was great as well! On to the ice cream! There are so many options to choose from, and after much deliberation, I landed on the BREAKFAST. The vanilla cream was combined with fruity pebbles and rolled to perfection. The rolls are topped with whipped cream, strawberry syrup and more fruity pebbles. I ate every. Last. Bite. It was so decadent and overall just a 10/10 dessert in my opinion. The presentation was lovely as well! The staff was super friendly and it's fun to watch them make the ice cream. This seemed to be a popular destination for takeout, as well as DoorDash/Uber Eats. They also have a fun little photo station in the back, perfect for grabbing a great shot of these knockout desserts, or use the ring light to snap a selfie with your friends! read more

I called before I came on New Year's Day and they were operating under regular hours. The person who answered the phone confirmed their hours. When I told him I was on the way 35 minutes before closing they were more than happy to oblige. I initially came here for the vegan rolled ice cream in hopes of trying rolled ice cream for the first time. When I walked in I was warmly greeted. I took. brief moment to peruse the menu. I knew I wanted the ice cream but the Mango Rose boba caught my eye. So I ordered it along with the ice cream. They informed me that the their vegan ice cream is still being perfected but to try back in a week. Fortunately, the Mango Rose Tea with double boba was the perfect plan B. I love mango tea anyway but the rose gave it such a nice floral note. The boba was fresh and perfectly chewy and the sweetness level was just right. Great for rolled ice cream!! Absolutely not a thing I would change with that base recipe! It was sooo creamy and the flavors were on point. I don't think the staff was putting the correct toppings on some of our orders but honestly it still worked fine and the kids loved it. This is where I have to be honest though.... I would not recommend Champloo for a bubble tea aficionado. It may just be that the batch was off but my boba was hard when I got my drink. That is a huge no-no for me. It should be soft and chewy but rather it tasted like the boba has been sitting cold for quite awhile. Also half of the menu was "unavailable at this time " which left much more to be desired because it was staple flavors that they did not have. read more

They have many cute decorations throughout their store, which immediately caught my attention! I'm pretty sure this is a seasonal drink, which is very sad news, however, pumpkin flavor has been hitting hard recently! This was definitely a great seasonal boba drink. The boba had good taste and the texture was perfect. They have many different drink options, such as taro, fruit tea, and coffee tea, for whatever you're feeling. They also sell pastries, that looked pretty delicious as well. But let's talk about their rolled ice cream. Yeah, you heard me! Even if you don't order the ice cream, it's entertaining to watch. But y'all know me! I tried the cookies and cream rolled ice cream topped with oreo and chocolate drizzle! Their drinks are on the quirkier side compared to other boba places in the sense that they offer SpecialTeas that each have their own drink base and toppings (vs most boba shops where you order a drink base and add toppings to it). So I decided to stray from my usual classic, black/oolong milk tea order and tried the Gamora, which was green tea + strawberry popping boba + strawberry purée. In my mind, when I read the drink's description, I thought it'd be like a strawberry matcha latte (I love SMLs made correctly), but the Gamora tasted nothing like that. First off, the drink was too sweet (I forgot to adjust sugar). Secondly, there was some weird taste, which may have been the popping boba?? Idk but I didn't like to very much.
