I asked the ladies at the front the difference between the Dirty Milk Tea and the Brown Sugar Milk Tea and they said the difference is the Dirty Milk Tea has black tea in it. I ended up choosing the Dirty Milk Tea, and I am so glad I did. In my opinion, the black tea adds this lovely layer of flavor to the otherwise sweet milk tea. OMT, more like OMG! This boba spot was not even on my radar before we stopped at the pho place next door, but I'm so glad I got to try the drinks here. It's an unexpected hit with my family, excelling at both milk and fruit teas. We ordered the strawberry fruit tea 30% sweet with white pearls and the dirty boba (black milk tea with brown sugar syrup) 50% sweet with regular boba. The green tea in the strawberry drink was slightly bitter, but something in that fruit syrup was mad addicting, pairing perfectly with the tea and keeping us hooked on each sip. There were real fruit chunks and the drink was the perfect sweetness for us. The dirty boba was a tad too sweet for me, and I think I'll go with 30% sweet next time. The tea was strong as was the brown sugar taste. Roasty, sweet perfection! The boba was sweet and soft, maybe a tad over-cooked but not mushy. While I was here (Saturday afternoon) they were doing brisk take out business. My husband and I were the only ones enjoying our tea inside. There is a comfy bench for seating with tiny tables. I had my first boba tea in Madrid a few months ago. My son purchased it for me and I loved it. However I did not order it so when I arrived to OMTea and wanted to order I wasn't sure how to do it. I asked questions when ordering but really got no answer except "this is what most people do." I had no idea I could ask to adjust the level of sweetness (my drink was way too sweet). And please explain to me what all the jellies etc are! I'm very disappointed that I was rushed thru ordering and didn't understand what I was getting. It may be good tea but the one I had I could barely drink and I probably won't go back. Sugarcane: The Sugarcane drink is really sweet! It's made fresh everyday, as you can watch some of the staff members press it through a machine through the glass near the register. It's super tasty and authentic. Jasmine Milk Tea: The Jasmine Milk Tea isn't as sweet as the other drinks, but the jasmine flavor is prevalent and pairs nicely with any of the fruit jelly toppings! Taiyaki: A fish-shaped pastry filled with a choice of Cream Cheese, Boston Creme, Nutella, or Red Bean. I tried all of the fillings and they're all delicious. The batter is AMAZING! It's light, chewy and similar to mochi. It compliments the richer fillings that you can get. The Taiyaki is a must-get-item! There was so many drinks to choose from their expansive menu so I will definitely come back and try their other drinks. We also got their spicy mayo fries and that was delicious. I would recommend their fruit smoothies, mostly the mango & honeydew. The avocado is a little bland. I do not recommend their dirty milk boba.
