The boba here is always perfect. The drink is smooth, refreshing, and never too sweet. The pearls have the best chewy texture, making every sip so satisfying. I always find myself craving it.

The brown sugar boba milk here is absolutely incredible. The pearls are perfectly chewy and infused with that rich, caramelized brown sugar flavor that melts into the creamy milk. Every sip is pure happiness, and the drink isn't overly sweet, which I loved. The staff is so friendly, and the shop has such a cute vibe it's a perfect spot for a quick treat!

Out of all the bubble tea chains we've tried in the Triangle (e.g., Cha House, Quickly), Moge Tee has been the best and most consistent in terms of quality to us. The tea we've had at the Moge Tee locations in both Raleigh and Durham have been good and satisfying. I recommend this place. Overall, it's one of the better bubble tea places we've been to in the Triangle so far (local businesses included). Unlike a lot of bubble tea chains, Moge Tee is from mainland China, not Taiwan (most of the big brands are from Taiwan). It started in 2012. This location opened in December 2019 in West Raleigh, across the street from NC State. It's on Hillsborough Street, the main drag for NC State (like what Franklin Street is to UNC). Moge Tee sits directly across from Winston and Caldwell Halls. We visited on a Saturday afternoon when street parking was free. Metered parking is enforced Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm. Several spots were available near Moge Tee. I parked in front of Caldwell Hall. This location has the typical small/compact bubble tea store layout. The interior is a little more narrow and cramped than average. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Their outdoor seating, on the brick and concrete sidewalk, is nice. It's partially covered. During our visit, the store was busy, but the line wasn't bad. They had plenty of staff to keep things moving at a brisk pace. My wife and I got a Super Fruit Green Tea (large, $5.75) and a Taro Tofu Pudding (medium, made with soy milk, $6.00). These two drinks were cold, refreshing, and hit the spot. Fruit tea is a healthier, lighter alternative to the more calorie-dense milk bubble teas yet is still tasty and satisfying. The Super Fruit Green Tea we had here had good, strong tea flavor. Fruits in the tea included lime, lemon, orange, watermelon, and passionfruit (pulp and seeds). The Taro Tofu Pudding drink had lots of real taro and silken tofu in it, easily sucked up through a wide boba straw. The ingredients tasted fresh and appetizing. An advantage to this drink is it's caffeine-free. I'd only had caffeinated beverages on this particular day until ordering this (I was looking for something caffeine-free). Also, we liked that there were multiple milk alternatives like almond milk and soy milk. In general, the quality of both drinks was consistent with the Moge Tee we've been to in Old West Durham. A detail I like about some of the lids here is, unlike the common plastic film covers and other types of lids, you can re-snap the straw holes shut. There are circular indentations on top of the lids where you can snap the straw hole covers while you drink. I've seen similar for sip lids, but for straw lids, I've not seen it as often. Moge Tee has all the standard, popular drinks like tea with cheese foam, Yakult drinks, "Milk Swirl" (e.g., Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea), and Uji matcha (considered the superior type of matcha green tea). Expect to spend about $5-7 each for a medium-sized drink (500 mL or 17 oz) and about $6-9 each for a large-sized drink (700 mL or 24 oz) before tax and tip. They also serve egg waffles. Most varieties (e.g., matcha and strawberry) are about $7 each. The menu listed the egg waffles as exclusive to Raleigh, but I'm not sure how true that is. Service was great. The staff was polite and processed orders fast and efficiently. At the time of writing this review, there are six Moge Tee locations in North Carolina including one in each Triangle city (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). There are two in Georgia (Atlanta and Duluth). None in South Carolina.

    Dragon fruit yakult

I was expecting more from the dragonfruit yakult but I was disappointed. I expected a bit more creamier texture but it was like drinking dragonfruit flavored juice. I don't know if it is because I asked for 50% less sugar or not. At least there was some fresh dragonfruit. I wouldn't get this again. I hate that I spent about $10 (with added boba) for the large drink. I wished they had a smaller size but large was the only size. The boba was too soft for my preference. If I ever come back here again I would give the other drinks a try, hoping they taste better then the dragonfruit yakult. Parking is metered street parking on the weekdays. I parked in the temporary pickup spot and was only there 5 to 10 minutes with no issues.

This is by far my favorite tea house in Raleigh. I've been on a bit of a boba tea kick and have visited so many recently but I keep going back to Moge. I was first introduced to cheese foam through Moge when they were the ones ones in Raleigh. My husband usually goes for one of the oolong teas with mango jellies and cheese foam. My favorite might be the strawberry matcha or the crème brûlée. Desserts in a cup! Highly recommend checking them out. Or their Durham location!

Cheese Foam Honey Black Tea with Boba, 30% Sweet

Nom nom slurp! My son wanted us to try a cute little boba place on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. I tried Cheese Tea and it was Good! I ordered the Cheese Foam Honey Black Tea with regular boba and 30% sugar. It's mainly black tea with warm boba added and the cap is a dairy foam that's slightly salty so I got a sweet with salty cream taste as I took a drink from the top. If I used the straw, I got some chewy boba with perfectly sweetened black tea. Cheese foam sounds odd but it was very tasty. I'm not sure what the kids got. I was obsessed with my drink. They all guzzled theirs down though.

Absolutely delicious! We had the bubble tea that has the fresh tea and fruits and oh myyyy goshhhh! One of the best drinks I've ever had anywhere. The boba is fresh and its so chewy and satisfying. The flavors really mesh well together in the tea and left nothing for me to desire. We went back twice before we left the city!

This is a bubble tea shop right on Hillsborough Street a skip and a hop away from NC State. First off, the staff was super friendly! The person who took my order took great care to explain the menu and give recommendations. I was originally looking for a Thai tea, but he was able to give a recommendation for something very similar. Due to COVID 19, there is no indoor seating in the restaurant, but they do have a convenient take out window to pick up drinks to go. You can order drinks outside, but you can also call ahead or use a delivery order in order to get your drinks as well. The Moge Tee menu has a number of options ranging from milk and fruit teas. I ordered the Cheese Foam Peach Oolong tea and loved it. I had never had Cheese Foam before, but I thought it was very tasty. It added a salty creamy taste to the top of the drink. The tea base itself was high quality and had a good flavor. In terms of value, it's about on par with bubble tea shops in the area.

Sooo delicious!! They have so many tasty sounding options it's hard to narrow it down. Nancy T recommended the black grape with cheese foam and well Nancy T knows her stuff when it comes to Bubble Tee. I did it with 70% sweetness and it was so delicious. Like I seriously dream of that icey, fruity, creamy cup of awesomeness. I went back another time and tried out the brown sugar boba tea and I personally don't think it holds a candle to the fruit tea. However if you want to go more traditional it definitely was still good. You can tell they use real fruit and the flavor really comes through. They have so many awesome sounding drinks it is hard to narrow it down. I went while the NC State students were on winter break so parking wasa breeze. When the students are back, it can be fairly annoying to park here. I'll still be giving it a go though and definitely will be hitting them up all summer.

    Cheese Foam Uji Matcha

Man, I wish this Moge Tee wasn't so far away from me! I tried their Cheese Foam Uji Matcha which was so delicious. It was my first cheese foam experience and let me just say, I've been missing out! I added Oreos to it for a few extra cents, but I'm not sure if I'll do it again next time. The matcha with cheese foam paired perfectly together and having the drink served cold was super refreshing. Definitely planning on returning to Moge Tee next time I'm in the Hillsborough area!

    Fresh Red Dragon Fruit Tea

Moge you are special to me for your dragonfruit fruit tea alone!! This is probably one of the only drinks I'd be willing to spend $8 on mainly bc you cannot find it anywhere else in the area currently. It is just the right amount of fruit and sweetness and it uses real red dragonfruit, not just ice and syrup. Some of the locations run out so that is sad. I'd say the flavored yakults are not worth the same price nor do they taste as good. But this drink takes the cake (ps: the drinks listed under fruit tea are slushees/smoothies even though it's not explicitly listed). Once I get my dragonfruit kick I'll try the other drinks but in the meantime this will be it!!

I've tried Moge Tee before in the Nova area so I was surprised to hear that one opened up in NC! Yayyyy for more places coming to our lil state of North Carolina! The aesthetics of the place were up to par - with the minimalist white walls and bits of greenery decorating the place. Their cups are so cute with the little ears on top of the cap! I got the taro bubble milk tea so it's basically taro with milk tea and boba is actually included in it. My complaint about the drink was that they definitely skimped out on the taro in my drink. During my first sip, I was able to taste the warm taro, but after that I barely had any and it was just straight up milk tea that seemed kind of diluted because of the lack of the taro flavor. I did come late in the day so I'm not sure if they just skimped out on taro because they ran out, but I left feeling a bit disappointed.

Super Fruit Green Tea and Cheese Foam Berry Tea
    Dee C.

This is by North Carolina State University North Campus by Hillsborough St. It can be hard to find parking. We ordered in advance on their app for pick up. I enjoyed my cheese foam berry tea. I asked for less sugar so it came out perfect. I love the saltiness from the cheese foam mixed in with the sweetness of the berry tea. I didn't taste the tartness didn't think berry just sweetness. It was a slush style so perfect for the hot weather. My husband had the super fruit tea. He said it was good but not memorable. One suggestion for the shop is to provide a fork to eat the fruits after the tea is done. Other shops provide either a long fruit pick or fork.
