Love stopping by here when we come to H-Mart. They have a lot of different pastry options and some drinks as well. Everything always looks so pretty. Definitely gets congested and hard to walk around on busier days. They have a little seating area but the H-Mart food court section also has bigger seating options.

Delicious desserts in the heart of the grocery store. I got an ube cream pie. Exquisite. Friendly staff. There can be quite a line and not all selections are available because they sell out quickly.

I love macarons and this place did not disappoint. The location was surprising but I'm happy I stopped by. It's in a fresh market with tons of Asian cuisine and grocery shops. The service was great and the attendants were very friendly and helpful in finding treats.

I am so glad this place exists. We go to H Mart every so often, and it's such a treat. The groceries don't matter in the moment, it's all about the treats. As other reviews have said, go early because they do sell out. Everything I've had has been fantastic, but these milk soft breads are incredible. Texture is bouncy almost like a fantastic hot dog bun, sweet though, not overly, and filled with a light fluffy and just the right sweetness cream. If you like banana and they have it, get it! But if not any will do.

Although it's nestled in HMart this bakery could Easily stand alone. Moving to NC we missed Paris Baguette and after reaching out to the Nextdoor community we found this gem. Looking for a delicious cake for your next occasion? Stop in! Don't forget to try the macaroons too! One minor thing, it's card or exact cash only!

Need a morning coffee or afternoon pick-me-up? Craving a bubble tea or sweet treat? Instead of going to the obvious places, venture into HMart to find the delightful Tous les Jours bakery! You'll be rewarded for venturing in with an amazing selection of unique baked goods and treats along with familiar croissants and danishes. You can select from espresso drinks, teas, and bubble teas. Drinks are made quickly with friendly service. What I'm really enthralled with are the cakes. I first tried one at a birthday party and was immediately hooked. The cakes are as light as clouds and flavorful, but not too sweet. To find the bakery, enter into the grocery store and walk left past the cosmetics counter.

    Brown sugar milk tea smoothie

The brown sugar milk tea smoothie is delicious. The strawberry flavored bubble tea was "meh" but my daughter loved it. Just a matter of preference. The pastries look lovely, so we will have to try one of those next time. My daughter has already indicated that she wants her birthday cake from here (maybe the pink velvet). I just wish they sold the cakes by the slice rather than requiring you to buy a whole entire cake.

I've been to about a dozen chain locations in other cities, as well as in Seoul, Korea, and have come to love this Korean bakery chain. This particular chain is located inside the H-Mart, so it's one of the smallest version I've been to. Before I get on with the raving, I must rant. It's so small and the aisles are so tight, you can't even enter with the cart. It's extremely awkward to maneuver around the tiny aisles...not exactly Covid-friendly. However, Yes, the place (like everywhere else inside H-Mart) required masks. Now on the positive note! Despite the small, frustrating layout, this location offered some incredible varieties not found in even bigger locations! I bought several varieties to enjoy on the go, as well as to bring home. Especially loved this creamy-cheesy-fruity-puffy pastry (pictured in my car!), this amazing Taro-filled pastry, and this Matcha Green Tea Bread, which had this delicious creamy filling inside. YUM!!! Honestly think I love Korean pastries more than life itself. Think it has to do with all the pastries being just a tad puffier and lighter than the thicker, more glutinous American pastries. Again, if only Charlotte had just ONE Korean bakery for me to enjoy. :\

Best cakes! The cakes are so cute and so yummy. Not too sweet and so light! They package it so well and provide cute candles. I highly recommend the green tea one. The macaron and pastries are great. I love looking at all the pastries available and trying new ones. But go early in the day as they run out quickly. If the lines look long don't worry because they are pretty quick and efficient. It worth the wait if any.

I love Tous les Jours and was pleasantly surprised to find this location while I was out traveling! It's so convenient that it's nestled right inside the HMart. My favorite is the milk bun--pillowy soft bun with a light and fluffy cream. I did try something new though! The honey cheese biscuit was a unique blend of salty/sweet that was pleasant Tay surprising. I wish the drink was a little sweeter, but the notes of matcha were discernible.

I been to this place a few times and never had the opportunity to provide a review until today. I ordered some bubba tea and some bread, the bread was delicious with sweet beans filling never had this before but love it, it was something different, i definitely will go back to try something else.

Here is the revised Yelp review with the correct name:…read more My wife and I recently stopped by Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café in downtown North Carolina, and we left already planning our next visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly and served with genuine kindness. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. It feels like the kind of place where you can slow down, sit across from someone you love, and actually enjoy your coffee. We ordered an espresso, a latte, a chocolate croissant, and a lemon pastry. Everything was fresh. The croissant had crisp, flaky layers on the outside and a soft, buttery texture inside. The lemon pastry was bright and balanced, not overly sweet. The espresso was strong and smooth. The latte was well crafted and comforting. Service was quick without feeling rushed. The space was clean. The overall experience was simple and well done. If you are in downtown and want good coffee, fresh pastries, and attentive service, Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café is worth your visit. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will return. Highly recommend.

On the positive side, the flavors themselves were solid overall. The icing was tasty, and while the cake was decent, it leaned a bit dry, which was already giving us pause given this was meant to showcase their best work. What really ended the conversation for us was a major quality issue. Two of the icing sample balls each had a very long hair in them. It was immediately noticeable and extremely off-putting. At that point, we lost confidence and couldn't bring ourselves to continue sampling, let alone consider trusting them with something as important as a wedding cake. Between the dryness of the cake and the hair issue, we ultimately decided to go in a different direction. Not terrible flavor-wise, but the experience as a whole was disappointing and fell short for such a high-stakes purchase.

I think every item on the menu was available, and someone was adding more items to the self-serve areas while I was there. I liked the variety of items. I went with a chocolate chip cookie, a pain au chocolat, a pineapple brûlée, and a salted caramel pretzel croissant crisp. The seating inside seemed small for how busy they were midday, but that might be the environment they are looking for. Next time I am in the area, I will try some other treats.

I had initially planned on just eating half of it to save the other half for the next day, but I couldn't help myself from finishing the whole thing in one sitting. That's how good it was. I also ordered the salted caramel pretzel matcha latte and asked for a regular size. The staff gave me the largest 20oz. I was a bit confused since I was expecting a smaller size when I first tried to order from the app, but I heard him say the other size was 24oz so I thought 20oz was the smallest they had. Looking back at the app, they did have a smaller 12oz size, a 16oz size, and no 24oz size. Anyways, I just didn't drink the whole thing. The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff is friendly and efficient, even when it's busy. I wonder what they do with the pastries that are not sold by the end of the day / expiration date. They removed everything in the middle aisle pastry cases while I was there. I hope they don't just throw them away. They could probably use TooGoodToGo - just saying.

"VERY hole-in-the-wall Middle Eastern patisserie"…read more This gives hole-in-the-wall new meaning. The location is in a strip-mall that's set back a ways from 55, so it's not really visible from the street at all. However, it's weirder than that-- you have to drive AROUND the strip mall to the back, past the various loading docks for other stores, and they you see this place is open just from the BACK of the strip mall. I heard the owner is Algerian, but there are many Palestinian references and flags around the shop, so if that's triggering, then know this in advance before coming in. Still, the place is brightly lit and airy, with tables to eat. They do custom cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts, but we just wanted to sample some sweets. Hours are funny-- just midday Friday through Sunday. We ordered a pecan brownie and a pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa (shredded Middle Eastern pastry), as well as a mocha coffee. The mocha coffee was rich and delicious, as expected. The pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa was to-die-for... SO delicious. Super thick and messy, as you'd hope it would be. And of course the pecan brownie was amazing. I will say the pastries are not "cheap". I got a single tahini chocolate chip cookie to go for a friend, and that was $4.50 for a modest sized cookie. The other dishes above were in the $6 range. But these are unusual custom-made dishes, so it's fair.
