UPDATE: I've visited Wasabi post-COVID a few times and it's still a pretty solid stop for pan Asian type cuisine. I am a bit disappointed that the days of BOGO sushi are no-more here but I've still enjoyed the Florida and Tokyo rolls here as they have been my go-to for years (so many work group dinners and lunchtime visits). The Teriyaki Chicken is still a solid choice as well, served with rice and some steamed veggies. Recently got to come here with a group of work colleagues and we started out with a great appetizer choice of the Wasabi Platter (spring roll, shrimp in blanket, satay, steamed gyoza, fried gyoza) plus a plate of the Fresh Basil Rolls (made of shrimp, chicken, lettuce, cilantro, cucumber, bean sprouts, carrots, basil leaves, vermicelli, rice paper, house made hoisin sauce, ground peanuts). The group at our table devoured these appetizers, good stuff. For my meal I went with what looked like a new selection on the menu, Chicken Katsu (panko chicken cutlet). I will note at this point that it did take a longer than expected time to get our main plates out to us, one at the table even said "we did put in our orders, right?" But when our meals arrived, it was worth the wait. With my chicken katsu, it was perfectly cooked (fried golden but not overdone), but the accompanying sauce and spicy mayo made this one even better. I would definitely get this selection again and hope it stays on the menu. We came on a Monday night. It wasn't very busy so we were immediately seated. The restaurant is nice as it has many tables and the indoor decorations are welcoming. We started with the Edemame and crab puffs (aka krab rangoons). For one main course we had the wonton soup, fried rice, shrimp tempura roll, and Tom Ka soup. Was very busy, no BOGO offered as stated online, I takes to the just and they say me at the sushi bar area. No one came to speak to me or greet me for atleast 15 minutes. I shed about the buy one get one and they did they haven't had it for a year now. Great sushi and Thai options! Wasabi is in an amazing shopping center with fun stores arcades, bars, coffee shops. The first time i had the food i was actually so happy and amazed by how good everything was. I got a salmon roll, rainbow roll, fried rice, steam & fried gyoza, and then got some free spring rolls added on. I kid you not..... everything was amazing. I loved the freshness of the sushi, and the goyza is so amazing, and the fried rice is peak. The next time i came i got the drunken noodles and miso soup which was great and perfect lunch sized portion. The service is so kind and warm, my food is ready within 20 mins There is the cutest fish tank when you first walk in and the atmosphere allows for a very cozy experience with good food and service. Wasabi is my favorite Thai restaurants in the area!! We came in on a Saturday evening and the place was busy. We got seated right away and our server was brining us waters before we sat down! Throughout the whole experience our server was attentive and quick. We started with Thai dumplings which were very tasty and scrumptious. They do only come with 5 so not a crowd feeder. We ordered chicken pad Thai which is one of our favorites. It is served hot with carrots, peanuts, and bean spouts! They had the perfect blend of sauce to noodles ratio and i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend y'all try this. We also tried the poke bowl which was new to their menu. I got the wasabi style one with asparagus, edamame, jalapeños, and avocados. It was very very delicious and the waitress was kind enough to give me both dressings on the side to try. The jalapeños do give this bowl a kick, so it may not be for everyone. Wonderful experience here and will certainly be back! Excited for my leftovers tomorrow!! We came here because the restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed and was pleasantly surprised. It was not busy at all on a Monday early afternoon. We were quickly seated and our server quickly came and asked for our drink order (water). Food: I ordered one entre. The pad see ew with tofu and it was delicious. This is the most tofu I've ever seen on any Thai noodle dish from any restaurant. It was a little low on the noodle portion but since I never fully finish my meals it was perfect for me. The flavors were amazing. Be warned, The menu is a bit overwhelming and extremely extensive. Service: our server was prompt to take our orders. Was friendly and gave us more time when we needed and answered our questions about the menu. Price: I feel that for serving sizes they may be a tad bit overpriced but the ingredients and flavors are so fresh and vibrant that it possibly makes up for it. Ambiance: great seating options and space decor. I wish tables were a bit further away as I could hear a nearby tables entire date conversation though no one was speaking particularly loud. We came here for linner as I fasted from dinner yesterday which ended at 9 and now at around 445. We walked in and the place was empty. So not a good sign. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken. The pad Thai came with nothing else no appetizer nothing. They have no options to make things not spicy so I didn't get the Tom kha guy or curry as they wouldn't make it less. So my guess is everything is pre-made. So lost points there. The food was good. Nothing spectacular. My buddy's son's food which was the chicken teriyaki was small portion for a full meal. The sushi was 5 stars. I ordered the grand sushi mori and the head chef created it himself giving me the best items such as otoro, salmon belly, and uni. Everything was amazing, even the rice. Cooked and flavored perfectly. Usually i try to drown the rice in soy sauce, but it didn't need it. I also ordered fresh wasabi and the truffle tuna appetizer special. The appetizer melted in my mouth. They didn't skimp on the truffle so don't get this unless you LOVE truffles, which I do. The lack of a star is for the service. We asked to be seated at the sushi bar and then we sat. The chef had to finally ask the server to come take our orders because we waited so long. Came here for lunch while getting my car serviced at Honda dealership up the street. Love Thai food so I searched for Thai near me. Wasabi is in a shopping center. Parking can be a little hard to find if you come during busy times. Walked in around 2:30 in the afternoon and was seated right away by the hostess. I ordered pad thai with chicken med spicy. Food came out pretty quick about ten minutes. The dish wasn't spicy enough for me but it's fine, I asked the waitress to bring me some thai spices. Added it and was very tasty just what I needed. Came with a salad . Service was ok she seemed very rushed and impatient but she did check on me a couple of times and refilled my water. Overall I would come back. Came on a weekday night and the place was quite busy, but not busy enough that I had to wait to be seated. I enjoyed their papaya salad (somtam) ($10) and their hamachi kama ($12). I also had their BOGO rolls, but they're nothing to rave about or worth noting. The rolls were mediocre in taste and presentation. The papaya salad wasn't spicy as it should be, but it still had the good flavors of the original recipe. The hamachi kama was a surprise because it's not typical to find this dish on a menu. So, it was a very pleasant surprise since I prefer my fish to be grilled. The ponzu sauce will help capture the fishy taste if anyone has a tough time with that. read more

I use to come here with my family at least 1-2X a week. Knew the owner, knew the manager, knew the wait staff. All good folks. But most of all we came for the amazing sushi and Thai food. Well I'm disappointed to report how bad things have gotten at our favorite restaurant. We went on Sunday night and I ordered a green curry fried rice with extra ground chicken (my favorite dish). Do you know what I received? I plate that tasted ok, but there was hardly any veggies, no egg, barely any chicken - so what did I get?! A LOT OF RICE!? For $20? Ppppfffftttttt forget that! This is one of our go to sushi locations when we are craving something simple and cheap. They are hit and miss when it comes to customer service, depending on who you walk up to when you get to restaurant - you might have someone that is rude or friendly. It's really depending on the day and person. If you go during their busy times, it can be hit or miss again with the service and food. There have been times when the food was perfect and nothing amiss. Then there are times when everything is wrong or they don't have certain things on the menu, but they don't tell you until AFTER you order. It can be annoying when you have waited, order, and THEN they tell you different. It would be better to let people know before hand and then allow them time to think about it and order something different or leave. For those that don't know, this is a location that does buy one and get one free (of equal or lessor value. I think this is my new go to place for sushi moving forward. Very much a neighborhood spot across from MacGregor Downs. Service was very friendly, restaurant was very clean, plenty of seating and they have a giant sushi bar that seats at least a dozen. Quality of fish was great. Presentation was awesome. Great food, rude staff. Fake smiles and attitude all the way, not to mention unorganized. Overall below average - at first noticed no Asian people in restaurant not good sign -waiter kept trying to upsell us in the worst way possible -spring rolls bland -9$ for 2 pieces of sashimi -incredibly vague menu -the roll I ordered said tempura which was true but it also had raw fish which I'm fine with but it did not say that -there was a roll on the menu that said the meat was a "seafood mix" -miso soup definitely seemed premade and reheated -low quality cutting of the roll, ends were crimped cuts uneven -Tail left on some of the pieces, trust me not an enjoyable bite -not even worth the price, go to sushi iwa or waraji -this isn't a quality thing but you know it's not authentic because of several reasons 1: the had sashimi and sushi as separate things even though sashimi just means it's raw 2: barely half the staff was Asian 3: its a fusion of 2 different region's cultures -almost all of the rolls covered in mediocre sauces to cover up bland flavor (image for reference of the absurd amount of sauce) as if it's more sauce than sushi read more

The sushi was phenomenal ! Definitely at the top of my list for specialty rolls. The rice on the Tokyo tower was a happy medium between crunchy and chewy and the tuna was light and fresh. We love going to this restaurant for sushi, especially the sushi boat for two. That is fantastic every time. Tonight we ordered some of their Thai dishes for take out. The Pad Thai was the best of the dishes we ordered. The other dishes didn't have much flavor and all the dishes had a burnt taste. We'll stick to the sushi and Japanese dishes in the future.
