I heard about Fire Wings from a friend and figured I'd give it a shot as I'm a big chicken wing fan. (All flats, extra crispy for life!) Walking in, I was happy to see Asian inspired flavors as this is what I'm accustomed to as an Asian-American. I'm from Vegas and we have a ton of good Asian food and always have a place for every cuisine. Fire Wings offers various regional flavors on top of the usual American style fare. I was very intrigued by the Satay and Saigon flavors and got the Lemon Pepper to try one of their "classic" flavors. Unfortunately, I was met with pretty standard Asian style chicken wings. Both of the flavors tasted exactly as I'd expected them too, and that isn't always a good thing. They didn't remind me of the good food from back home, nor did I think they brought much here to Reno. It's a new place, so there's always room for development. But as of now I feel like this is definitely geared towards people who aren't necessarily used to eating these flavors. Where to start? I love wings and I like the selection of sauces and style here. I want to see this place succeed but it's going to need help. First, if it isn't requested to be all drums or flats, it should be near 50/50. It's an up charge here if you choose one or the other. Pro tip, if you like drums, then just order normal because this place gave about 75% drums. If you're expecting expertly process chicken wings, you're not going to get it here, you'll get random pieces of wings with the feather still attached. I see some reviews complained it's salty, well I guess they fixed it because I found some dry rubs to be underwhelming under seasoned. Try ordering for pick up or with an app because if you go inside, you'll have hopeless teens confused about orders and no customer service. My brother and I went to this place for the first time last week. I had a Buffalo chicken sandwich and some Thai chili chicken wings. The sandwich was huge. A full half breast extra crispy with some Buffalo sauce. It was really good and the wings were crispy and delicious. My brother had a regular chicken sandwich and some chili cheese tots. He really enjoyed it. The girl who took our order was struggling with the order screen and couldn't accept cash but she was very nice and really accommodating. The place had descent atmosphere but the entry into the restrooms wasn't very clean and neither was the men's restroom. Their original buffalo sauce is very good! We enjoyed the wings. Not a fan of the boneless wings because they were more like nuggets (probably good for little kids).
