Went to fire wings during elite events. My first visit to fire wings. The chicken wings is dry, some are overcooked. The sauces are okay. The service is quick, maybe too quick.

So today I finally got to try Fire Wings. Wifey Placed a phone Oder to go - Wifey Ordered Some Chicken Tenders (not pictured) good size pieces tho for her ,15 boneless with Korean / Peanut Butter/ Mango Habanero for me , some Tater tot's & Garlic fries. Something to note asked for extra garlic on the fries since I had read some reviews saying it needed more , they said they don't do that. That's very odd to me . The fries themselves were good crinkle cut, but definitely wasn't very much garlic . Tasted the tots and they were good tots just basic nothing special . Now for my Boneless Wings . Unfortunately each of the flavors was lacking. Heard so many good things about the peanut butter and it was ok. They all just seemed not super flavorful. The chunks are great size pieces but they were kind of tough and not tender . The mango habanero was of the better ones but not very much heat at all. The Peanut butter was good but definitely could have used more sauce I guess. They needed more flavor pop to them all. I still wanna try the Bone-In with some of these flavors again . As far as service for pick up was great. Young man helped me , order wasn't ready yet but paid and waited about 5 min. I will be back to give another try tho. Enjoy !!!!

Big thanks to Michael for hosting this Yelp Elite event!! Fire Wings did not disappoint. The wings were a great size. Nice, meaty and packed with flavor. I tried the Garlic Parmesan and Lemon Pepper, and both were delicious in their own way. The service was great. The person who took my order was friendly. The place itself is nice, quiet, and clean. Even the bathroom was clean, which is always a plus. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!

Honest follow up review: 4.5/5 but we'll round them up to a 5 stars! Wanted to bring back the 5 stars to the company that makes some pretty great food! It is a little expensive for the experience, but the flavor makes up for it! Let's dive into it! -10 piece wing combo w/chili cheese fries: 4.5/5 Flavors I chose were curry and garlic parm. My honest review on them is that they're okay, very well done on the flavor as well as the cooking of the wings and quality of the wings that I got, however the oil tasted a little over used, it however pairs deliciously with that ranch they have! Absolute great experience but would recommend the only thing be the oil used to be cleaner. Add the chili cheese fries to the mix, you can't go wrong with some chili cheese fries; but it was a very ball park chili cheese fries experience, which if you like it. Awesome! If not; then this is not for you. -BBQ fries: 5/5 (the go to) If you're coming in for this you won't be upset! This is the game changing winner in so many aspects. Read the first review I made for these. It didn't and it won't disappoint. Just following up the second review to say yes. It's delicious!

Grabbed some wings and fries at Fire Wings and was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. I ordered BBQ Chipotle and buffalo wings with seasoned fries and they were some of the best I've had in Reno. The BBQ Chipotle was both sweet and spicy and the buffalo was a little more flavorful than the standard. One unexpected attribute was how crispy the wings are cooked as they almost neared the line of being overcooked but we're just right and extra good with the sauces. Although ironically, the seasoned fries almost stole the show as they were cooked and seasoned to perfection with no disrespect to the wings. The staff was also very patient and kind. Overall, a very conveniently located being next to the theater and solid place to get wings and fries at good value. Given how often we go to the movies we will definitely be back for more!

Fire Wings is easy to find right next door to the theater in the Summit .. the facility is spotlessly clean and the staff is over the top friendly .. they serve both bone in and boneless wings. Also offered at least 8 different sauces to make the wings any way you like. There is a self-service soft drink machine for your convenience. Prices are moderate, but competitive. Locally owned and definitely worth giving them a try.

Bottom line: Overpriced, bland chicken. Sauce is not spicy as advertised. Not a total disaster, but disappointing enough that I don't recommend this place. After a long day on the road, I just wanted a hot meal and relax.. We were staying at the Hyatt Place, and Fire Wings was within walking distance. I was greeted by a nice cashier and ordered a 3 piece chicken strip combo with fries and ranch. For my drink, I just got cold water. I wanted whatever was the spiciest sauce on the tenders, which was their "fire wing" sauce. My order was to-go, so I could eat in our room back the Hyatt Place. I felt like it took longer than expected for my food. It was far from busy too.. kinda dull atmosphere inside and just quiet. I grabbed a plastic fork and some napkins. Once my food was given to me, I asked for a plastic knife since I didn't see any by the fountain machine. I was told they don't have knives.. so a lack of basic utensils... which was disappointing because I wanted to cut my saucy chicken and dip it into the ranch with my fork.. but whatever, I am hungry I can make do. Got to the room and started to chow down. The crinkle fries were VERY salty. Someone was a little heavy handed with the salt.. the chicken tenders were NOT fire spicy at all. It was like a mild or medium.. so that was disappointing.. chicken was not robust in flavor at all. The ranch was actually really good. Overall, I found Fire Wings to be underwhelming and overpriced for what it is.

Connor was the cashier at fire wings. Ever since we did a yelp here at fire wings in the Summit mall we have come back a few times. They have great deals on Monday and Tuesday at $.85 boneless wings you get five piece minimum and you can choose different sauces. On Wednesday they have bone in at $.95 Per Wing. These wings are not small. They are pretty big. I had trouble ordering the sauces cause I didn't know what my son wanted so he was super nice and just said take your time. No worries no stress. I love when you go to an establishment and they are like that. So five stars for fire waves. Right next to the Hyatt place in the Summit mall. So if you're at the Summit Mall and your state at the Hyatt check, fire rings out on your way to the movies during the week and on the weekends is good too. So my vote for chicken wings in Reno fire wings

    Lana S.

It's a drive out to Summit so keep that in mind if you don't live South of town. Lots of parking and the interior is large, sunlit, and comfortable. You order at the counter, get your own drinks. Take a number and they bring your order. I've had a lot of wings in my life, but these were the best I've had as long as I can remember in Reno. The service was flawless and friendly and I'd definitely go again if I'm out in South Reno

Returned as I wanted to try the peanut butter wings. They were good but didn't have much peanut butter flavor. They were mainly sweet and spicy. Nice place to stop for a quick bite after the movies.

Another great spot to grab a good bite. Ordered the teriyaki boneless with fries. Also the loaded fries. Very flavorful . The choices were plenty. . Close to theatre and convenient. Can't wait to go back. They were busy and had great service.

This was our first time dining here. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Jen took our order. She was friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of wings flavors and cooking options. You get 2 flavors and choice of fries or fresh veggies, and a fountain drink. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any sugar or sweetener for the unsweetened iced tea. had the Cali Rub and Salt and Pepper with fries. They were very tasty. All in all it was a nice experience. It's a great place for locals.

The staff James, Connor and Celine absolutely rocked our event tonight, giving us an insight on the many flavors this establishment has to offer. The restaraunt itself is very spacious and not too loud, even with everyone talking and enjoying themselves. They serve a variety of bottled beers currently, all of which are great choices to accompany chicken wings. I ordered the bone in Cali Rub, the Thai Chili fusion , as well as the Mango Habanero. The Mango Habanero was spicy, but didn't leave the lingering vinegar despair one usually gets with spicy sauce. It was delicious! My favorite flavor so far is the Peanut Butter that a friend ordered. It's like a Thai peanut sauce that is DELICIOUS!

Overcooked and you can tell that chicken has been reheated or refried in an overused oil.

However, to my surprise, it was more sophisticated than that. We were met by the host, who then seated us promptly, however for a Tuesday night, she seated us in a half booth half table and chair seating arrangement after we walked by several open booths. Our waiter was the one to offered to move us elsewhere and get more comfortable. After being reseated and informed that the tables were cut very offkilter, we ordered drinks, an appetizer, entrées and dessert. The bacon wrapped jalapeños were OK, could've been cooked a little differently to boost the wow factor but the real star was the entrees. I ordered the herb roasted chicken, which came with a cucumber tomato salad underneath and topped with their kale pesto, might have been a kitchen accident but I'm not complaining! We ended the meal with an affogato paired with their house made vanilla gelato. Definitely worth it

She gave recommendations based on our preferences and always had a warm attitude. Throughout the duration of being at the restaurant, there was never a moment where I felt like I was waiting too long for her to check back in, nor did I feel like the servers pestered too frequently. Ambience: The restaurant made me feel like it was a cross between a sports bar and an Italian restaurant; definitely on the casual side. There are many seating options and---given the observation---they can accommodate extremely large parties! We sat next to a party of 10+. Fare: My partner and I ordered both alfredos: fettucini chicken alfredo, pesto alfredo. While both tasted great, the sauce is on the thin side in case that's a preference of yours. I didn't mind it; in fact, while it was the first time I had a sauce that thin, it was complementary to the entire dish. For note of reference, the waitress said that the sauce is on the "lighter side," which I disagree with since there was an entire pool of it in the pasta plate. She said commonly people order an extra sauce on the side, but I thought it was fine as is.

I first met Chef Kwon when he had the original Hiroba Sushi. At the time, it was my fave and considered as arguably the best sushi joint in the area. I followed him to Sushi 7 when he left Hiroba...equally delicious. Then I followed him to the original Tofu House when he opened that in Independence Square on Moana. I was puzzled when I found him at his new restaurant, being that he's trained a LARGE amount of the area sushi chefs and I only knew his sushi. He told me that Tofu House was his passion...as he put it, Korean Soul Food, straight from his roots and his heart. Unfortunately, the original location didn't survive the pandemic... After the pandemic, he opened Poke Doke/Bowls N Go, poke in Carson City...great food there, too. Then, finally, he reopened Tofu House in this new location! Located in a strip mall in South Reno, the ambience is casual and comfortable. The service is friendly and consistent...and the food is AMAZING! It's NOT all about Tofu...he has all the standard Korean dishes available, from Bibimbop to Bulgogi and his Japchae is out of this world. He also offers some unique spins on other dishes. It's one of my 2 favorite Korean places around and both are uniquely different from each other. I'll visit here whenever I get to the south end of town...in fact, I'll go out of my way to visit. I think you'll be very happy when you visit if you like this style of food...his cuisine is outstanding! I suggest, as always, that you go see for yourself to see what YOU think...
