7/15/26 So I have been multiple times and have some beers with the guys. This night me and the homie came to have some wings and some pizza and beer. We got the bbq chicken pizza was delicious. And OMG had the Apricot Chili Wings and they were so good. I didn't get a pic unfortunately. But they were the perfect amount of sauce and crunchy. Almost like an Orange Chicken type of vibe. We love going here. They have yograded their parking amd theblocation holds a good amount of people. If you want to xatch up with a large group you can. They also have family packs in Tuesday. They have brunch. Which I still need to take my husband too. He hasn't tried it yet. The pizza is good. Even a simple cheese pizza is perfection. Our kiddos love it here and they have outdoor seating. My favorite when the weather is just right. The beer iptions are also loaded. Lots of variation for all taste buds. Quality/Quantity - Just like Ijji Noodle House, this is my go-to local brewery. If you are following, you might remember I used to come here every week (if not almost daily....). Just take a look at all my pictures, probably only 10% of the pictures that I should be taking, lol. Being a local, it is easy to get distracted with all my friends, guests, and family and easy to forget to "Yelp," especially after the first beer or two. My "go-to" beer is still Mars or Bust. And I usually end with one (or more) of their IPA's; DIPA, TIPA, etc... And once in a while we still get food, lol. I am starting to bring all our guests and out of state visitors here to end our nights. Ambiance - Still a beautiful place to see and visit. Open 7 days a week from 9am or 11am to 9pm or 10pm. The kid and I stopped here today to try a different pizza place. We walked up to the counter and ordered a large cheese pizza with 2 sodas. We got our pizza within a few minutes. My kid loved it. The pizza had a thin, chewy crust. Good flavor. I think they used pasta sauce as their pizza sauce which I liked a lot. My kid even commented, "This is good pizza" and gave me a thumbs up. The place had a little play area where kids can play with wooden blocks. My kid played there for a few minutes. The service seemed like it was a "serve yourself " type of place. The only thing they did was bring out our pizza. I needed a "to go" box and saw some boxes sitting in the back so I just got up and grabbed one. No one comes around and checks on you to see if you need anything else. I didn't see any cheese or hot peppers around for the pizza either. Talk about a happy accident!! I visited Schussboom Brewing Co. with my daughter today, and it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it's clear they've thought of everything to make it family‑friendly. Beer: We tried the Spa Lager -- an American lager infused with cucumber and lemon -- and it was absolutely delicious. Light, crisp, and super refreshing. They have a full line up and also offer flights. Definitely have to check out others next time I visit. She also wished my husband a happy birthday at the counter and when we left. I appreciated that. I met a few friends to catch up on a Thursday night. We hadn't seen each other for awhile so this was a great spot for us to meet up for a drink and have some food. The bar was fairly full, but not so busy that it was loud or overcrowded. The main seating area had plenty of spots left even with a number of groups enjoying their evening. We grabbed the end a of table for our group of four. I had a cider and the Mexican loaded tots. The cider was crisp and refreshing, not too tart and not too sweet. It hit that perfect spot right inbetween. The tots were warm and crispy, loaded with chorizo, pickled onions, sour cream, cilantro, jalapeños, and Cotija. The menu is fairly large and has a good selection of dishes that should accommodate just about anyone. The drink menu is even larger! Lots of in-house made brews and a couple ciders are listed on the menu screens. The bar can make just about anything else you may desire. Coming from San Diego looking for a good brewery we were so happy to find Schussboom! The beer is amazing. They've had collabs with Pizza Port and I hope they do another one. The food and beer are consistently so good. If you have kiddos you'll be happy to find a play area inside with blocks and a tv playing kid appropriate shows. I'm obsessed with their wings (they're huge), their pizza is great, and they've got the best rotating DIPAs in town. They're innovative but true to the way beer should be - crisp, refreshing, and easy to down. It's always clean and I appreciate the local Ski Town vibe. This is such a chill and relaxed environment. I like that we could keep our tab open not only for drinks, but also for food. When my friend and I got there, we ordered drinks and an appetizer, chatted for some time, then got back up and ordered dinner & more drinks. It was nice not having a server and picking up the food from the counter because we did not feel rushed to leave and we weren't interrupted by anyone. The food was very, very good. My friend had the focaccia grilled cheese and said it was delightful. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. The hilarious part of this story is that we were meeting a friend, who flew in from Dallas, and he had been to Schussboom Brewing on a previous trip to Reno. You order drinks and food at the cash register, then find a table and wait for your food and drinks to get called. Drinks you pick up near the cashier / bar area and food you pick up in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen. Both the food and the drinks were amazingly delicious. My Greek Salad was one of the best ever. And the beers, yum! Pizzas are a popular choice here, and the restaurant was packed with people and families. My best friend and I came here for their monthly "Off the App and Into the Tap" last Tuesday. This was our first singles event we have both ever been to. It was nice having a friend for something like this. It was quite busy! Lots of people, more women than men to be honest. You come in and you show your purchase of tickets or purchase tickets at the door. You are told to put on a name tag and are given a free drink ticket for a complimentary "confidence shot." They had pizza and salad in the back. You were welcome to buy additional drinks at the bar or counter. They had some small little ice breaker activities (cootie catchers) and also beer pong, flip cup, and corn hole. Schussboom, just right next to our neighborhood and boy is it GOOD. My favorite beer is the Banana Hammock Hefe, which if you're wanting to try it - I highly recommend it. Additionally, you can't go wrong with any of their food choices. Our office typically caters their pizzas so they are all solid recommendations. Pictured in this review are the Asian Persuasion Wrap with a side Greek salad, the chicken tenders and tots, both were delicious! But also, get the kids quesadilla with chicken, it's WONDERFUL. The ambiance is like a ski lodge, so even during the summers, if you're reminiscing being up on the slopes, you can come here to get the vibe. A friend and I came here for lunch. My rating is somewhere between OK and good. I had heard and read the positive comments from my fellow Yelpers and honestly, came away a bit underwhelmed. The food was good, but not spectacular. We sat in the bar area and except for the very large group event, it was comfortable. You order at the bar and pay upfront. Our food was brought to our table. I had to hunt for flatware. Napkins were available at the table. After perusing the HUGE menu, we decided on sharing the pulled pork sliders and the Caprese Sandwich. The sliders were ok. Nothing swoon worthy. I liked the two different sauces. The honey mustard was great. The house made focaccia bread made the sandwich a step above. I would come back just for the bread. So was it worth the LONG drive down to South Reno? No. This is not a place I would drive out of my way for. Would I come back if I were in that end of the city? We have been visiting Schussboom for years, it is one of our favorites(especially after a big ski day at Mt.Rose) in Reno. Staff is consistently wonderful, food is unique and yummy, beer is great, the kid zone is a special bonus, and we love all of the community events we have been able to attend. We hosted a party in their upstairs outdoor patio area, it was such a special spot to celebrate with spectacular views. Schussboom is one of my favorite places to go in Reno. Food: Top 5 wings in Reno, maybe higher. All of their flavors are delicious but our favorites are tatanka and stick yaki. Their tater tots are to die for, and they have several flavor options. Really solid pizza too with some unique flavors. Drinks: Awesome beer selection that they brew themselves. They've got such a variety that any beer lover will find something. Atmosphere: Skiing themed brewery with really cool decor and seating options. There is a lot of family style seating with long tables that you share with other guests, which is not a problem. They've also got outdoor seating in the shade and an upper patio. The food sucks. Ordered what we thought was 2 sandwiches that had hot ingredients and or contents in them. Well...we were incorrect in that assumption. Food was cold. Chicken tenders were cold and rubbery. Turkey was old and slimy and the sauce was some sort of miracle whip based garbage. The beer we wanted was all out. We took a suggestion from the order counter guy ND yuck. Beer was meh. Mid grade wanna be micro brew me too beer. The restaurant set up also was so confusing. Stand in line with crowds right at the door so you dont know who is actually in line. Then so many people just hanging out near there waiting for their name to be called out was more confusing. You didn't know who was standing there for what. They call your name over the intercom but it is not even audible over the radio playing full blast. Never gave me my fountain drink glass. Had to go ask for it multiple times. I would not recommend this place for food or drinks. The only cool things was the building. Thats about it. Sorry Schussbottom you definitely missed the mark. Get real servers and drink runners...your restaurant could be way better. read more

This is our 2nd visit to Schussboom and again it didn't disappoint, our previous visit was during one of their special events so it was very busy, tonight was much better. The Service is exceptional, the staff is very attentive and helpful, they have a large menu and larger beverage selection. The restaurant is a large open setting, long bench style tables, like you experience at a ski resort, there is a area "kids zone" with toys, wood blocks and large with kids programs playing. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor had several heaters to keep everyone comfortable. This evening we enjoy the Apricot Chili, Hot Wings and Pepp Rally. We actually finished our order when the wife saw the Loaded Mexican Tots and commented how I love tots but didn't order them, oh I did then, they are crazy good. For food was again very good and we will be back again when back in south Reno. read more

Came in on a saturday evening and it wasnt too crowded. You order from the bar/counter and they give you a buzzer or wait until your name is called. Food did take a bit to come out for being sandwiches. We had a minor hiccup where mine had to be remade due to having an ingredient that I had asked to leave off. But they were apologetic and got my remade sandwich out quickly. The food was very tasty. We didn't have any beers but i will say the biggest portion of there selection is IPAs.
