    Special-Pesto feta Chicken Sandwich
    Danielle S.

Long overdue but going back this weekend so had to give a shoutout! We discovered their awesome patio last month and it is an amazing place for lunch, especially if you have a pup. We came here with our golden retriever puppy and not only were the staff incredible but they treated our girl like one of the family. Starbucks has nothing on their pup cup! Cocktails and beer were tasty, and the food was delicious. I got the Diablo chicken sandwich with the broccoli cheese soup, and my husband got the special which was a delicious grilled chicken sandwich with feta and pesto. I have my eye on the pastrami sandwich for next time although everything looks incredible. If you have a dog or even if you don't, visit this place and enjoy a great meal and service from a team who truly goes above and beyond.

Had a great afternoon down at the Fox. Food is good and I gotta say, the beer is better. This is true. Anyway, my pal Ricky made a wager that his old man couldn't name what team Tom Brady played for so I took that and now I'm gonna be one chicken sandwich richer, thanks Richard anyway five star and great friendly service !

Sadly, as I continued to write this review, the rating just kept decreasing... Showed my buddy around town to some of our great breweries. Just left Lake Tahoe AleWorX Reno, and because I did NOT know it was Tuesday today, they were closed... My bad, but it was to Fox's benefit. Well, we stopped by the Lead Dog Brewery before coming here also, lol. But you know that because you are following. Quality/Quantity - No more happy hour?!?! Today we got the following: Fried Pickles - Too salty! And I like salt. Guess it helps us drink more beer? Other than the excess salt, it was fried well. Lamb Burger - It was just okay. Kind of small. Was offered ranch and ketchup, but was not told there was an upcharge. As the waitress was taking my order, I changed to ketchup only, but was still charged for the ranch. It was not worth bringing it up for 50 cents. The fries were fried perfectly, pun intended. Chicken Pot Pie - Looked huge, but the bowl was VERY misleading. More crust and very shallow, and the filling was VERY watered down. My buddy did NOT enjoy this at all. And to wash it all down, I actually got the Raspberry Red Ale which after tasting both of the reds (my usual Irish Red Ale), the Raspberry won. My buddy got his usual Hop Tahoe IPA. The good news was that your beers were GOOD! Ambiance - Back parking lot, you need validation... After doing ALL that work, we realized that there was plenty of street parking and the front lot was easy parking; NO validation needed. Maybe add signs for future new customers to check for other spots before doing all that QR validation parking paperwork. Table, booth, semi private, and bar seating. Two story building. Also a roof top patio seating, which was too cold today. See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm; Yelp hours differ slightly. Service - Door greeter; the hostess was nice. The waitress was also nice, and other than the honest ranch mistake charge, the experience was good. Thanks for the communication that there was only one person working and that our dinner was going to take longer than usual. Glad we ordered the 20 oz beers, lol. Price - $65 + tip. Signs say 2.95% credit card charge, but receipt had 2.99%?!?! Please update. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success and with your two locations. I will go back to frequenting your Carson City location, see 5 star Yelp review.

Finally made it to the Fox! My wife and I came in for a late lunch on a Saturday with our pup. I wasn't quite sure if dogs were allowed but we confirmed and they opened up the gate so we could head up to the top patio with her. We ordered some beers and they were quick to arrive. We put in our lunch order and it showed up quickly as well! The St Charles Burger was great, a nice standard burger that was juicy and flavorful. My wife ordered the wedge salad and we shared both which was a nice combination. We enjoyed the patio on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and it was nice to have a place to bring our puppy and enjoy a nice meal. I've added the Fox to my list of dog friendly spots I can now enjoy!

Came here Friday night for an early dinner. The hostess was BEYOND sweet and accommodating. She let me know that there was a large party coming in and to order our food so it was out before it got too busy. Then, our waitress was incredibly kind as well. She gave us time to look over the menu, tell us about her favorite kind of wings and sauce, etc. she was patient while we were indecisive. The burger was great. We shared it with fries and it was plenty! But we couldn't pass up the wings. My favorite was the garlic Parmesan and it's served with ranch and blue cheese. This cozy little pub definitely was a spot I want to come back to

I have heard amazing things about Fox's happy hour and finally decided to check it out. I visited on a Tuesday around 3 pm. We weren't told about any happy hour specials and they seemed to have been removed from the website so I guess Fox isn't doing happy hour anymore? Regardless, we had a great time at Fox! Both the host and server were super friendly and attentive. We ordered the apricot blonde and the seasonal English beer. Both were great beers and much needed after a long workday. We ended up spending about 2 hours hanging out and enjoying our beers. We'll definitely be back when the weather is nicer so we can enjoy the upstairs seating!

The service was great! Very fast and always checked in on us. The food was made fresh and all made within the establishment the spinach artichoke dip was the best I have ever had burgers were cooked to the perfect medium and hot. They have fried cheese curds with a good cheese pull with a dip that I can't put my finger on but delicious beers were delish and paired very well with the food!

We decided to stop by this brewery to try out their nachos. I have to say that this was the smallest incomplete plate of nachos that I have ever seen. They had grilled some chicken and threw on top. There was very little cheese a little scoop of sour cream and no salsa whatsoever and barely any cheese. Absolutely terrible. I would never go back again $17 for a plate of chips. The working clientele were nice people. Whoever is cooking in the kitchen gets an F from me!

Today it was about sitting outside in the sun so we decided to give the Fox a try! We like the Fox in Carson City which Reno has the same menu. We checked in at the front entrance by the bar to be discouraged from sitting on the roof top it's too cold & windy. I said " I'll get my coat". The host who was our waiter The same person looked familiar to me use to wait on us at Olive Garden. The more I talked to the staff it's really about they don't want to walk upstairs to wait on the customers. By the way the sun was brilliant on my face and no cost was required to enjoy the view. We ordered the Worlds famous dip which came out as a beef burnt French dip and cold soggy fries. My husband asked for another beer and told the gal twice, but it never came! The bonus part of our lunch experience was the rooftop sun shining down upon us and the waiter bringing my husband's second beer.,

We were so excited for this stop, but the food just didn't cut it: everything was served lukewarm at best, some items over-salted and chicken pot pie fairly flavorless, sadly. The best app we shared was the Irish Nachos (request the beer cheese added). The local beers were great! Servers were friendly--hope this was a rare occurrence with barely warm entrees.

Have wanted to try this restaurant for a while and so we were able to try it out for a late lunch today. Visited several times when it was Silver Peak 2. The restaurant is a pub and distillery therefore there is a large selection of beers to try. There are also some signature cocktails and wines available. The menu is quite nice with lots of selections from appetizers to sandwiches and salads to main courses. We decided, after the server recommended us, the pastrami and the fox dip sandwich. They were served with a large pile of french fries and sauces. We also tried the garlic fries which were very, very garlicky. Our server was very pleasant and friendly and attentive. The restaurant was full today but we only had a very short wait. The food was quickly served, piping hot and delicious. The sandwiches are quite large for the $17 to $19 price tag. I really enjoyed it. I think we will go back soon. There is free street parking as well as to parking lots on each side of the building. The lower lot does require that you scan the code to get free parking however. Restaurant was moderately noisy but very clean and cutely decorated.

A Sunday afternoon this was a fun quiet place. Rustic appearance, with a chic worn appearance of the bar, this place exudes a casual comfortable environment. Chris the bartender and Brittney the waitress provided a humorous experience. It was appreciated and the service provided was high quality, just be patient. The food and drinks are worth the wait. The Irish Nachos were great. I enjoy appetizers for a meal and these hit the spot. The Fox is a brewery. The craft beers are worth the trip. Could not try them all at once, so a repeat visit is pending in the future. Nice job guys! Thanks, fun time!

The menu has changed a bit since the last time I was here, but overall everything we tried was good. The tacos were on special that day--very good street tacos, in fact. Next time, I'd probably just order those again. We also ordered the fried pickles, which we remembered really enjoying on a previous visit. This time they were served as spears, whereas I believe before they were sliced rounds, and they seemed a little better that way. The salad was pretty good as well, though the dressing had a bit of a kick that was slightly overpowering. A touch of honey in the dressing might have balanced it out nicely. For beer, I went with the Moon Dunes Hazy IPA. It was decent, but it didn't quite stand out compared to other New England-style hazies I've had. Overall, I still think this is a solid spot for good beer and food. My only real disappointment was that the bread pudding wasn't on the menu this time--I remember that being a standout before. We didn't realize it when we ordered the pickles, but by having the passport stamped, they were complimentary.

I do not want to go to a brewery for adult beverages and end up having to listen to children screaming and running about. They are also no longer allowing outside food to be brought in because they have on site food, serving pizza and hot dogs. We tried a pizza on our last visit, $21 for a large 3 meat which is big enough for 2 adults. Pizza was meh, 3 stars, definitely could have used more toppings. We were thankful it did come out fresh. Not sure I would order it again because there are so many other good options on the menu, but it was good. The artichoke and Crab skillet was excellent as well. We both left satisfied and impressed by the overall quality and service, already planning to go back again when the patio opens because they will let you have dogs which is always a big bonus!

The vibe is open and chill. We grabbed a few drinks and split some food. The portions are very generous. We decided on nachos, a chicken apple salad wrap and crispy Brussels sprouts. The massive wrap was packed with chicken, apple slices, cranberries and fresh lettuce. Seriously, it was better than I expected. The Brussels sprouts were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a hint of a maple glaze. Our server Chelsea was super friendly and served our food in a timely manner. Honestly, Mellow Fellow feels like a hidden gem. If you're in the area, especially around game time, it's worth checking out.

This is a fun little place to hang out in and can be enjoyed on a date, with friends, or even with the kiddos. Service here has always been great, always fast and attentive. Not only are the burgers great but the appetizers are quite the sight, the giant fried pretzel just looks absolutely ridiculous as the center piece to your table. Also weirdly enough the ketchup here, for some reason may be the best ketchup on earth... I can not wait to get some time to run back down to MF, eat some killer food, drink some local beers, and snap a bunch more pics to hopefully get more people enjoying this place.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it's clear they've thought of everything to make it family‑friendly. Beer: We tried the Spa Lager -- an American lager infused with cucumber and lemon -- and it was absolutely delicious. Light, crisp, and super refreshing. They have a full line up and also offer flights. Definitely have to check out others next time I visit. Food: For lunch, we shared the "Go To Pizza" and their Tatanka wings -- both were flavorful and came out hot and fresh, a real step up from typical brewery bites. Extra Perks: One of the coolest things is their outdoor garden area, which seems perfect for larger gatherings. They also have a rooftop space and a dedicated kids' area with kid‑friendly shows -- a huge plus for families. Events: They offer daily events, and we saw they have a fun lineup coming up -- including a singles night, a Mother's Day brunch, and they even serve breakfast. Lots of reasons to come back.

Staff is consistently wonderful, food is unique and yummy, beer is great, the kid zone is a special bonus, and we love all of the community events we have been able to attend. We hosted a party in their upstairs outdoor patio area, it was such a special spot to celebrate with spectacular views. The manager assisting us through the planning process was really accommodating and great to work with. Food came out hot and delicious, our guests loved everything. Keep up the great work!

Cut and pasted from their website: "Slieve means "A…read moreMountain" in Irish Gaelic, their family roots." Quality/Quantity - Been an extremely long stressful day! So I NEEDED a break from the day to just relax and stop thinking! I gave my wife a few options, a few breweries to choose from (or for me to just go alone, which she would not have let me drink and drive, especially all the way from North Reno). So she/we chose to go to Slieve as I have not been there yet. Actually, all 3 choices were breweries. The good news is that there are more and more new breweries opening. The bad news is that there are more and more good breweries closing, in ALL my hometowns... My first time in a nano brewery; cool. Today I got (and tried the following), all Slieve brands; support local: Oh, I did not know you had a happy hour M-F from 2-5pm; I just missed it by 13 minutes... Should not have spent so much time outside taking pictures for Yelp, lol. Pale Ale - Good, but I prefer more flavor. This is currently my second "go to" beer after reds. Jimbo Porter - Better, but then I tried the Cookie Monster! I also did not taste the coconut. Cookie Monster - My favorite of the beers, so much flavor. And I am NOT usually a sweet beer drinker. It was not an overwhelming stout, probably due to the sweetness, but you can definitely taste the chocolate and slightly coffee and caramel flavors. I would get this again, but it would always have to be my last beer due to the flavors. Beers that I need to come back for when available are: Your reds, IPAs and of course your "Trinity Tripel." Ambiance - On your "about" page on your website, it says you are still looking for a home for your brewery...? Is that accurate or does that page need to be updated? Cool space, indoor and outdoor seating. Bar and table seating. 2 bars, one the back, probably only used for events. Semi private room when you walk in. Ping pong, darts, games, cornhole, cool decor on walls throughout to read, etc. Open 7 days a week, see their website. Yelp's hours/days differ slightly. Event spaces are available; see their website.. Service - Good. We were also greeted by Shannon when she and Phillip came in later for a drink or two... Phillip was too busy drinking to say hi, lol. Price - $8 a beer. The typical cost for good craft beer. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2022 with your nanobrewery; I wish you the best and am glad you own the building to help you weather some "storms."

We came for the Girl Scout beer pairing benefit! It was our first time coming to the brewery…read more I called at the last minute to see if we could still get tickets and they said we will squeeze you in, now that's good business! We got there a little early to pick our spot at the bar. We were greeted by Shannon the owner. She is a lovely lady and later met her husband Phil. They have owned Slieve's for about three years. They have a spacious building and super clean! The staff are friendly and accommodating. There is no food on the premises to purchase, but you can bring your own food or ordered inn. It was fun to sample Girl Scout cookies and taste beer. We started with 6 tastings but they threw in a couple extra. The event was well organized and the Girl Scouts were there to sell their cookies. I was a Girl Scout 50 years ago. I think a box of cookies was $1.00 - $1.25. I paid $7. Times have certainty changed. The brewery is in an interesting location that I never knew existed before, but now I do and look forward to my return. Thank you for making our day fun and memorable!!!
