It's always nice discovered local distilleries in Reno/Tahoe, and Slieve is no exception! Came here with my boyfriend for a corporate Christmas event, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that they brew their own small batches of beer, seltzer and moonshine that they serve at their bar. We tried all four seasonal flavors of their moonshine cocktails (each priced at only $12.99) - peach, cherry, apple, and pumpkin pie, and were pleasantly surprised at how smooth and tasty they were (albeit very dangerous since they're also strong). Service at the bar was very attentive, friendly and fast despite how busy the event was, and this will definitely be a spot I'll come back and explore during normal hours!

We came here for our friendsgiving. Nice brewery with good beers. Everyone is very friendly. Plenty of room, darts, and games to play. We played sweet potato races and bingo with brewery prizes to be had. Nice location with plenty of parking.

Great Reno Brewery!! Small batch craft beers made very well by homebrewer gone pro! Always something new on the menu and always good. Moonshine, seltzers and full bar as well. Watch their social for what is going on, beer making classes, summer music and food trucks. A must try when in the Brewery District!!

Amazing event venue and party space! We were looking for a last minute venue for my company Christmas party and Slieve knocked it out of the park! For $500 we got the space all to ourselves for four hours with two bartenders who were extremely helpful and friendly. When I arrived early to set up the owner offered to help me set up and move stuff inside. The space was clean and the beer was delicious! They allow you to bring in your own food so we catered from Casale's Halfway club which is just up the street. We will definitely be booking more events here moving forward!

So you know about wine pairings. Chardonnay with fish or chicken or Merlot with a rare steak. Well, how about a brewery with a food truck? Oh yea, Slieve has done it for you. Talk about a great set up this is it. A big space with room for your group. Lots of Slieve brews and a few national or regional beers too. You can bring in food or visit the truck right outside. Check the event calendar on their website for updated info.

Fun place to have a party! No frills but plenty of games to play and an area to set up your own food. We had a taco bar and there was room to plug in crock pots on a bar with stools on the other side for seating. Since this is a brewery plan to drink beer. They have a great list of beers and I chose their signature light beer which I really enjoyed. Normally I prefer wine but as they only served it in a couple cans I passed on that! My friends got a nice beer flight that you choose which ones you get, I would get that next time to try their other options. There is additional seating by the bar area so we were able to spread out. Fun night here!

A real small batch craft brewery. The multiple beer vats are almost as tall as I am! A true small scale brewery with Big beer selections and taste. Beer styles change out on a weekly basis. Easy parking. TV's to watch sports. Lots of board games. Ciders, wine, seltzers and other drinks also available. Package snacks like peanuts and chips available for purchase. No hot food. Friendly place.

Slieve (an Irish word for mountain) Brewing is a cool local joint on the edge of Brewery District. We visited during the week between Christmas and New Years around 3pm and it was rather empty. There were a few beers on tap available, some bottled hard ciders, wine, soda/sparkling water, and snacks like chips. I ordered the Bunny Hill Blonde, a light and refreshing ale. My friends ordered the Tuckered Out Stout, and the Abominable Milk Stout, a chocolatey stout. All the drinks we had were definitely tasty and not too heavy or hoppy. You could definitely have a few without being too full! There were also a few bar games on the other side including cornhole, the ring hook game, and darts. While the selection is a bit limited it is a family friendly place that's very spacious and has lots of fun bar type games to play.

This recently opened brewery will be a great local hangout! Large and open, built in an old firehouse with roll up doors that will be perfect for summer, and some outdoor seating. They have about 7 beers on tap and more will be rolling out soon. Loved the Imperial Red IPA, but at 9.2, enjoyed a short glass. Lol! They recently had a Mardi Gras party and will be having a St. Patrick's Day event with a live band. We tried 4 of the beers on tap and enjoyed a corn hole game in the large back room. They also have darts available. The owners are super nice and friendly, we will definitely be back!

The owners are very nice and the brewery has some games. The beers: Big Mike's Baltic Porter (very good) Abominable milk stout (great) Mountain Pale Ale (very good) O-so-Sullivan Irish extra stout (good) Durney's Irish Stout (very good) The Drunkle Dunkel Weisse (great)

Regarding the food, the menu is notably inconsistent; for instance, the tots--which we generally enjoy when they are actually available--change in preparation method every time we order them. As for the pretzel, while the bread quality, flavor, and accompanying mustard were good, the portion of beer cheese was very stingy and tasted bland. We also ordered the buffalo wings, which, despite having good flavor, had a texture that felt like they were boiled from frozen and only briefly finished on a grill. Our drink experience was similarly average: I found the housemade shandy decent and the Tahoe Blonde enjoyable, while my wife's house Chardonnay was entirely unremarkable. The service throughout the meal was also underwhelming and felt our server was the only one causing king wait times for drinks etc.. While the two young gentlemen at the host station who assisted our waitress in bringing items to the table were pleasant to deal with, the overall quality of service remained unenthusiastic. We keep returning with the hope of a better experience, but it continues to be a 'meh' visit.

Decent size parking lot, but the best spaces seem to always be full. Got lucky today, but on all the other visits, I have had to park in the back. BTW, do NOT park in the neighboring lots as you will get towed, see my picture. Service - Counter service, but good and professional. She offered me to try the new flavors, but as a creature of habit, I seem to always go back to my usual beers. Self service water station. Happy hour available, but only from 1-4pm and I am trying to NOT drink so early. Price - $7 to $8 a beer. Expensive, but that is the cost for quality! I brought it up to my sister and she also said she had been wanting to go especially since she was told they have gluten free options so we decided to pop in for lunch. We went on a Sunday around 2:45 and it wasn't super busy so we were able to get a table right away. We were immediately brought water and menus. There was the regular menu, happy hour and brunch. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday until 3. We both tried the blackberry mule mocktail which was good but tasted quite heavy on the ginger beer. I couldn't decide between the breakfast pizza and poutine fries so I got both. The poutine fries were on the happy hour menu during that time. The breakfast pizza was quite large and fennels meant for at least two people but it was nice and hot and cheesy and I loved the addition of the egg but wish it came with more than one. It also needed a sauce of some kind, ranch or salsa or even hot honey. The poutine fries were delicious! I got it with mushroom gravy and haven't been able to stop thinking about them. I was unable to try the stuffed avocado and Baja bowl that my sisters ordered due to my avocado allergy but she really enjoyed it. The service was prompt and our waitress was really nice. The inside was so cute and you do have the option to sit outside. Can't wait to back and bring my husband, the menu has so much I want to try!

It was due to the seasoning. However, it was packed with a variety of flavors. It wasn't dry and loose, which is what I have encountered at a few other places. All in all, there was so much in it that it was difficult to evaluate what I was eating, which is a good thing. It means I'll have it again :). It functioned as a whole rather than as separated ingredients to give a complex flavor profile, which I appreciated. The fries were seasoned beautifully. Very savory. I enjoyed them. Cooked wonderfully as well. The tortilla chips in the nachos.. I don't know if they were made there or not, but they gave the impression of being store-bought. The quality was not great. The nachos themselves... plenty of ingredients that you can mix together, but the ingredients weren't like a complete package. They were like a pile of separate things. I expect a well-balanced mixture of ingredients. The layer of queso was below while the avocado was clumped up at the top. The ingredients separately were quite bland. I wouldn't have this again. The brownie was better than a flourless chocolate torte and quite large. I enjoyed it, though I would say that it's not as good as a more standard brownie. I wouldn't have this again.

Their plates didn't arrive until a good 20 minutes after everyone else had already finished getting food, and when it did show up, it wasn't good -- the egg noodles were badly overcooked to the point of turning to mush, and the sauce tasted like someone had just dumped a can of cream of mushroom soup over everything. Pretty disappointing, especially given the wait. The bright spot of the night was our waitress, Taylor. She was stellar! Very personable, fun, and genuinely apologetic about the delay. It also looked like she was covering bartending duties on top of her tables, and she handled it all without missing a beat. We'll definitely be back -- the food issue felt like an off night rather than the norm but hopefully the kitchen tightens up on the specials.

The vibe is open and chill. We grabbed a few drinks and split some food. The portions are very generous. We decided on nachos, a chicken apple salad wrap and crispy Brussels sprouts. The massive wrap was packed with chicken, apple slices, cranberries and fresh lettuce. Seriously, it was better than I expected. The Brussels sprouts were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a hint of a maple glaze. Our server Chelsea was super friendly and served our food in a timely manner. Honestly, Mellow Fellow feels like a hidden gem. If you're in the area, especially around game time, it's worth checking out.

This is a fun little place to hang out in and can be enjoyed on a date, with friends, or even with the kiddos. Service here has always been great, always fast and attentive. Not only are the burgers great but the appetizers are quite the sight, the giant fried pretzel just looks absolutely ridiculous as the center piece to your table. Also weirdly enough the ketchup here, for some reason may be the best ketchup on earth... I can not wait to get some time to run back down to MF, eat some killer food, drink some local beers, and snap a bunch more pics to hopefully get more people enjoying this place.
