Monday Night Pie Company is insane!! It is a Chef takeover, with a limited menu, and the food was incredible! We had the Detroit style pepperoni pizza and a small side of the Poutine. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. The crust was a perfect crisp and there was plenty of pepperoni. The Poutine was a delicacy. The short rib was melt in your mouth tender, the fries and cheese curds delicious, and the gravy was so good, we dipped our pizza crust in it, so we didn't miss a drop! My wife and I have visited The Brewer's Cabinet on multiple occasions, and unfortunately, our experience remains consistently underwhelming. Regarding the food, the menu is notably inconsistent; for instance, the tots--which we generally enjoy when they are actually available--change in preparation method every time we order them. As for the pretzel, while the bread quality, flavor, and accompanying mustard were good, the portion of beer cheese was very stingy and tasted bland. We also ordered the buffalo wings, which, despite having good flavor, had a texture that felt like they were boiled from frozen and only briefly finished on a grill. Our drink experience was similarly average: I found the housemade shandy decent and the Tahoe Blonde enjoyable, while my wife's house Chardonnay was entirely unremarkable. The service throughout the meal was also underwhelming and felt our server was the only one causing king wait times for drinks etc.. While the two young gentlemen at the host station who assisted our waitress in bringing items to the table were pleasant to deal with, the overall quality of service remained unenthusiastic. When a couple of friends wanted to get together for a bite, they leaned on me for a suggestion. I said, "let's head to a spot with a fun view that has outdoor seating: Brewer's Cabinet." They agreed and we were off to the races. We were seated on the patio as I had hoped. 'Illy' was our server/bartender. She's super personable and made sure we were taken care of when it came to food and drink. My friends ordered strips and wings and I chose the Cuban with sweet potato fries. They were stoked with their choice as I was with mine. The pork was paired just right with everything on the sandwich. The fries were cooked PERFECTLY, offering a nice crunch on the outside while being 'slightly' soft on the inside. I took my time enjoying this meal. The beer BC brews also wet well with this meal. Went here and had the best big pretzel! I really liked it and it was hot too! Happy hour when we went and beer was $2 off and same with apps. I liked that they had the international flags outside not sure if that's all the time or for world cup. I think happy runs m-friday 3-6pm. I'm not sure if weekends are like that too. My husband and I decided to go enjoy lunch and boy did we enjoy ourselves. The ChimChurri TriTip was absurdity delicious, the acidity in the pickled onions and chimchurri sauce worked so well with the garlic aoli with the tender tritip. While working through the Nevada Craft Beverage Passport book, it brought me back to The Brewer's Cabinet for another visit. The menu has changed a bit since the last time I was here, but overall everything we tried was good. The tacos were on special that day--very good street tacos, in fact. Next time, I'd probably just order those again. We also ordered the fried pickles, which we remembered really enjoying on a previous visit. This time they were served as spears, whereas I believe before they were sliced rounds, and they seemed a little better that way. The salad was pretty good as well, though the dressing had a bit of a kick that was slightly overpowering. A touch of honey in the dressing might have balanced it out nicely. For beer, I went with the Moon Dunes Hazy IPA. It was decent, but it didn't quite stand out compared to other New England-style hazies I've had. Overall, I still think this is a solid spot for good beer and food. My only real disappointment was that the bread pudding wasn't on the menu this time--I remember that being a standout before. My wife and I stopped in for lunch a couple of days ago just after noon. We both ordered after waiting for at least 10 minutes. I ordered the fish sandwich with the sauce on the side and regular fries. I got the sauce on the sandwich with the up graded sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were dark and over done, that seemed like they were left overs reheated. My wife's burger was just okay with the same overdone sweet potato fries. It took at least 20 minutes for us to get our food. There were only a few other people in the restaurant the whole time we were there. I had driven by this place a hundred times and the Yelp reviews all said that they had the best Wings in town. It's hard to believe that I'd never had wings before so this seemed a good place to start. We ordered a 6 piece wings order to share and a burger and fries for ourselves. I ordered a BLTA. Turns out the kitchen ran out of bacon, and instead of telling me to order something else, they just sent me the food, which was just bread, lettuce, tomato and avocado. NO BACON. Once I noticed I pointed it out to the waitress, she apologized and brought me pulled pork. Then still charged me $21!!! Lastly, their Production Facility - See other Yelp review. I felt it was a cooler space, but with limited food. No more than "six" customers (tables) today, so plenty of parking. Open 7 days a week from 10am or 11am to 11pm. Many promotions, see pictures or their website. Service - Sitting at the bar usually always gets us good (better) service. Unless we are entertaining, this will be our go-to place and seating. Price - $22+ tip. Wow, this might be the least expensive meal I have had in a VERY long time! And I had two beers! Although we paid extra for a pretzel bun we got a burnt brioche bun The second was an Average Joe burger. Also ordered medium rare on a pretzel bun. Arrived cold on a burnt brioche bun cooked medium rare. French fries were cold too. This place was so great when it opened and during the first few years. The Signature Burger and fries were the best! Although I read in the paper that the restaurant closed last year after failing health inspection, we decided to give it another try. What a disappointment. Will not be back. Thought about calling to complain about the lack of quality and the up charge for the pretzel buns that didn't happen, but what would be the point? Been a while since we tried The Brewer's Cabinet and I'm glad we did. The Average Joe Burger I had was solid, the fries though were excellent. Service was really pleasant and helpful as well as being quick. Great selection of beers and lots of televisions which allowed you to watch the football games from pretty much every seat in the house. The decor is subtle, yet attractive. Definitely not haute cuisine, but the food and drink is what you'd expect from a place like this. Will likely return in the future. read more

The food, drinks, and ambiance at The Brewer's Cabinet was spot on to host our group of 25 for dinner and drinks. Since we were a large group, they put us in a separate back room which was perfect since we had a large group that included both adults and kids. There was a shuffleboard table, ping pong table, foozeball table, and jenga blocks which kept the kids entertained while we waited for food and then also allowed the adults to enjoy their meal. There were several tv's in the room as well and we asked to change channels to watch the NBA playoff games which was awesome. Everybody enjoyed the food and drinks as well. I had the chimichurri tri tip sandwich and the Dragon Punch IPA. Both were excellent. Everyone in the group enjoyed their food and drinks, even the kids. The food and drink prices were very reasonable and the price for the kids menu is a nice value. The staff there is also great. I've been here so many times and am sad this is my first review. Brewers Cabinet is my neighborhood restaurant and I come here frequently for Lunch, Dinner, and Happy Hour. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and accommodating to our kids and our dog when she tags along. I love the outdoor seating during the warmer months, the back patio is especially nice when we have the dog with us, and the staff always makes sure to bring water out for her. The beer selection is solid, with several different varieties, and I often find great seasonal brews that I always enjoy. Dragon Punch IPA is a flagship brew that I enjoy often when I don't find something different. One of my recent favorites is the Crooked Palm, a refreshing IPA with a hint of coconut. I've tried most of the options on the menu at this point. The BLTA is one of my favorites, and the Brew master Burger is another go to. For apps, the Taco Trio is excellent and could be an entree as well. The Chimichurri Steak salad is also a excellent entree, my wife and I usually split that and a burger or sandwich. The fries are delicious as well, they have a sweet seasoning, guessing brown sugar, and they are always hot and delicious. They have a classic kids menu with burgers, tenders, mac and cheese, etc. It's priced reasonably, which I always appreciate with a family of 5. The happy hour is also a good deal. $2 off select beer, cocktails, and appetizers. Happy hour is from 4-6pm daily. I make sure to mention this because it's not on their website. They also have Burger Monday, $15 for a Burger and Beer. Lastly, the Tap house is a fun addition with a more casual space and larger bar area. They serve food there as well so don't hesitate to stop in there if the restaurant looks busy. All this talk of Brewers cabinet is making me hungry, may head there for dinner tonight! read more

Brewers cabinet used to be at the top of my list for places to eat but my last few experiences have been so disappointing. Tonight we made our way down and got to BC at 9:20 pm for a late night dinner. We live 25 minutes away and drove all the way here to enjoy some nice food and beer. According to the business hours online, BC is open until 11pm. We got there and the hostess let us know that it was slow so "everyone decided to go home" and they wouldn't be able to serve us. Major waste of our time. The hours should be updated to reflect the kitchen closes early if that's a thing? Or at least on the website. My previous visit, my friend made a reservation for 10 people a week ahead of time in the beer garden for a special occasion. This reservation was accepted. Upon arriving the next week, we were sat inside. When questioned why we weren't in the beer garden, they said it was reserved for a graduation party. We asked why they double booked the beer garden (we had made the reservation online) and the hostess told us that they do not check your preference of seating when you reserve online. If this is true, then you should probably take off the option to reserve seating. read more

We visited with our dog on a warm afternoon and the hostess found us a shady table on the patio of the taproom next door. Our server was sweet and the burger was tasty. We had their chips which were excellent. There is a "service animals only" sign on the main door but they were fine having our dog - so that must pertain to inside. The pretzel was delicious! One of the best soft pretzels and sides I've had in town. I was craving a Philly cheesesteak, but this one did not fulfill my craving, but the sweet potato fries are always delicious here. I think I accidentally ordered a kids mac n cheese? Not sure if they have one that is different from this, but I hope so. This mac was reminding me of Kraft. Overall, I understand this was takeout, so it won't taste as great as served fresh. This was the 1st stop on my NV Craft Beverage Passport "Reno" tour, so in an effort not to overdue it, my cousin and I each ordered 2 tastings of the beer of our choice. We ordered 3, 6, 12 & 16 (see Tap room draft list pick) and our favorites were 3 & 6. We sat in the Tap room which was pretty quiet and empty however it was also 2- 3pm on a Friday! The bartender was super friendly and very attentive, the room features high top tables and seating as well as high back barstools at the bar. Shut down due to multiple health inspection violations including rat feces on cookware, surfaces and in ingredient. Been here a few times over the years and stopped by today only to be greeted by a health inspection failure paper on the front door. After searching on the internet I found out they have had multiple health inspection violations per the Northern Nevada Public Health website and recent headlines accross some news outlets. Feel free to look it up yourself. Not only did the kitchen fail inspection but the bar did too. (Inspected separately by the health inspector) no sanitizer in the dishwasher so we are just rinsing glasses with water alone and serving to the next patron? Made reservation a for 12 people for after UNR graduation. Nothing was set up. Tables not even wiped down. We decided to eat inside as it was still hot out. Ordered drinks which came quickly. Then ordered our meals. Some orders arrived. Then we waited....finally those who received their food started eating. Some more orders arrived and two were wrong. The chicken sandwich had chicken nuggets instead of a chicken patty and no cheese. It took so long for everyone to get their meals that some people were finished before the others were served. The meals used to be delicious and plentiful. That was not our experience last night. I will say the server tried to do what she could by comping two meals and giving us a 10% discount. When we called today the manager didn't seemed to be concerned and said they were packed because of graduation, but there were only a few other people there. This place has the potential to be so much more than it is. Let's talk about the consistencies to begin. Normally great ambience, service is always slow and subpar though- it's as though they are either consistently understaffed or they don't service their tables well. Food- it had always been a favorite and hence kept me coming back in spite of the service. That said not only did it take forever to be seated and talked to in regards to our food, they did not do the burger as requested. Well, no pink, no tomato, side of ranch. It came out with tomato, pink on the inside and no ranch. I had to go to the bar to see if they could fix given the server didn't provide the food, kitchen did and she hadn't come back by to check yet. She was like oh okay, we will fix it. It took over 30 minutes and they brought out the same burger as before with wilted lettuce and onion ring etc that were already in their prior. Super disappointing. Also note, our waiter she never returned. Had to ask for our check from the hostess who was kind enough to do so but it was not a great dining experience. 2 stars because my mom being in town did enjoy her meal despite being finished over 30 minutes prior to me getting mine back read more
