Service was great , Avy was our server and she was excellent. I ordered the coconut stout and it was so good , along with that I had the smash burger with onion rings which I heard from a friend and saw reviews that it was great. FYI this place closes at 8pm on Sundays-Thursdays, and their menu is reduced drastically. NO WHERE on their website indicates this. I unfortunately found this out the hard way, going with a group of friends on a Sunday night. Furthermore, the kitchen does last call at 8:30pm. We had a friend arrive shortly after 8:30pm, and the waitress refused to take his order- mind you, it was for a simple smash burger. The waitress said "the kitchen will get mad at you if you place an order", a very unprofessional and rude response. Overall, The food was subpar too, dry hamburgers and overpriced. I used this come to this restaurant when they were open for lunch, and they were great. Friendly service with good food. However they are only open for dinner now. The last couple Thursdays we've been going to play Trivia! It is so much fun! My friend's son, Scott is part owner in the brewing company! I love the watermelon line seltzer. My friend Amy calls it Salad! The only change I would suggest is selling it as a pint! I also love the coconut mafia and the Mexican lager . This place has some great brews for all! Why one star less.... last week, I had the pretzel twists which are my absolute favorite and this week, I was so disappointed they took them off the menu what? It's your signature item that everyone loves!! Please Bring it back!! Best in town! I'm not big on your other pretzel choice. I would get rid of that one! We stoped in as one of places to try after a long day of chores around the house. Casual atmosphere, friendly staff and helpful. You need to look for it downtown as it's on S Virginia where all the restaurants are. Not a wide building but it is deep. They have a pool table in back and beer on tap. Not a huge menu but the burger was good, fries were killer as they were beer battered. My friend had the Philly cheesesteak and it was very tasty she said. They use American and cheese whiz ( not my favorite) but she enjoyed it. They had a coconut mafia beer that was absolutely delicious! That is definitely a must try if you like coconut. Parking is on S Virginia wherever you can find a spot. I would return for a 2nd round of burgers and a beer for sure !!! read more

Four of us went here for dinner on a Friday night. We got there about 630. It wasn't very crowded so we were able to promptly get seated. The atmosphere is cool. High ceilings, cool chandeliers, and tables that are nicely spaced apart from one another. The server arrived quickly and we ordered some appetizer to get started. We asked her to come back after we had a few minutes to look at the menu to take our dinner orders. Our appetizers arrived quickly and wereyg very tasty. And then the place filled up. And, there was only one server who was trying to help about 12 tables. One table was a party of 15 people. It took the server 45 minutes to get back and take our dinner order. However, I must emphasize it was not her fault. She was simply spread too thin. When she did come back to take our dinner order, she was very apologetic, very calm, and very kind. She did an awesome job. However, shame on the management for having one server on a Friday night. They really need to reevaluate that policy. I ordered a smash burger. It was billed as the specialty of the place. I thought it was just OK. It was warm, but not juicy. And they skimped on their secret sauce. In all honesty, I've had a better Smashburger at Chili's for 2/3 the price. Great, casual bar for football and New American eats. Been "touring" various bars in town to find the best spots for catching football games with friends. My criteria are: -Spacious seating that can accommodate groups of all sizes (bonus points for being kid-friendly) -Direct view of TV regardless of where you sit - Ability to watch multiple games at once -Drink and food options that cater to various palettes - Vegetarian options that aren't an afterthought (i.e. not just omitting the meat and calling it vegetarian) A lot to ask for, I'm aware! However, I'm happy to report that Parlay 6 checks all the boxes. I'm giving this place a 5 star not due to the food quality I got (kitchen was really screwing things up last night) ... im giving it 5 stars due to the staff, and the way the management, without me asking nor implying, decided to go above and beyond to make sure I leave happy and.. . Return! I ordered a double cheeseburger medium rare, no sauce (alergies) , ketchup, added bacon and onion rings, I got tge burger without bacon or ketchup....they took it back. Came back out with bacon but.... instead of re doing it..they just cooked and added bacon...by time I recieved it...burgers and rings were cold....so...here we go again...they remake it and bring it hot, with bacon but....with the sauce on....here we go again...lol..3rd time is a charm? . ... this time our waiter comes, brings the plate, says again how sorry they are, tells me the burger is on them and...".we want you to have this $25 gift card so u come and give us another chance ". . First time here, midday. This place has an open concept with lots of seating and an outdoor front patio. There's a long bar, large tables by the brewery with board games. A nice selection of food and beer. The service was great. Seated immediately, menus laid out and a smile from the waitress. A tri-tip sandwich for me and the sausage platter for my husband. Both were delicious except for the fries. They were twice cooked, incredibly crunchy with just enough salt. Delicious. We love IPA's. Great selection, great taste. Large screen televisions with football games. Clean restrooms. Parking in midtown on Virginia is always tricky. The lighting was a touch too low for me to read the menu. Thank you iPhone. Quick update on my latest visit to Parlay. My wife and I came in on a Thursday to catch the start of football and grab a beer during happy hour. I posted a picture of happy hour specials, I think they've changed since my last visit so wanted to put out the current special Mon-Fri 4-6PM. It was more crowded than expected so it took a bit to get drinks, but overall everything was great an it was just what we needed for a nice hour break. Look forward to my next visit soon! read more

Great Food and Brews in Midtown! We stopped by Parlay 6 Brewing on a Friday night and had a generally great experience with the food and drinks. The Food: Everything we ordered tasted fantastic. We started with the pretzel and cheese sauce, which was the perfect appetizer. For our mains, we tried the Reuben and the Tri-Tip Sandwich--both were delicious and well-prepared. The Drinks: The Pilsner was crisp and fresh, and the Lavender Lemonade was a unique, refreshing treat. The only minor bummer on the drink menu was the lack of iced tea, which we were hoping to order. Service & Ambiance: The main downside was the wait time. There was only one waitress covering the entire floor on a busy Friday night. She was doing her absolute best and was very kind, but the service was understandably slow because they seemed understaffed for the crowd. We ended up waiting quite a bit longer than expected for our orders. Overall: The quality of the food and beer is definitely there! If you aren't in a massive rush, it's a great spot in Midtown to grab a bite. We'd definitely come back, hopefully when they have a bit more backup for their hardworking staff! read more

This is one of my favorite places to be for game day. They've got a ton of TVs to watch sports and a fun atmosphere. The bartenders are always super friendly! This time around, my brother and I came here to watch the 49ers play. They have a variety of their own beers. I love trying local beers so it's always fun to see what's new for the season. Parlay is such a great local brewery--with equally great food. I first discovered them during a tasting at Sparks Water Bar around the holidays (my friend even won a six-pack!). Since then, I've been back a few times and always had a great experience. The bartenders are friendly, the food hits the spot, and trivia nights add to the fun. The dirty fries were good and the Smashburger was pretty good as well, but the chicken sandwich was glorious. My only wish is their ranch was a little better. I've become kind of a weird regular here, but I love the beers, I love the selection of board games, and food is always on point when you are out on the town. This time we tried the pretzel and the onion rings so I just had to home back and shout them out. The pretzel with the beer cheese is just fantastic on a boozy stomach, and the onions rings are killer value for money. Totally crispy and delicious. The hubby & I had sampled a couple Parlay 6 beers recently and decided to check out the place for lunch. We walked in the front door to a roomy, stylish, and open aired atmosphere (the front garage door was open). Fun! Basketball on the TV. Yea! We stood at the bar, where an employee mentioned we could sit down and they'd serve us. Ok. Sat down, received menus, waited 15 minutes before I decided to approach the bar & order the beer. The employee curtly advised me that the server will take our order. I was walking back to the table and told a server we were ready to order. She said, "he's your server." And pointed at a dude. Sheesh. I sat down and we waited another 10 minutes. He took our beer order and started to walk away. I called him back so we could order food. Who knows how long we'd have to wait, right? Over/Under IPA was delicious, as well as the PA6, and Know When to Hold Em (or something like that). The food was beautiful and absolutely delicious! Double smash burger with fresh salad. The Reuben was unusual but tasty, on a pretzel roll with molten cheese dip. Onion rings were perfect! We'll definitely return, bring the kids....they'd love the food. I hope service is better next time. If so, I'll give 'em the star I deducted next time. We were not the only people being unacknowledged. Another couple came in and kept switching seats to get closer to the server. None of the other employees were helping the one apparently overwhelmed waiter. This is/was a hard review... Quality/Quantity - After seeing one of my Yelp friends post of 50% off HH, I had to finally make a special trip to visit. But of course today was a Saturday, so NO HH. But I noticed a special "All in Burger special for $36!" Burgers = 2 stars, sorry the meat was over cooked. Not perfect proportions. Daniel did offer an extra patty for an upcharge. But because we are light eaters, we said no. The burger would have been better with two patties... Mac and Cheese - I actually liked it, but this was for my daughter who is very loyal to Kraft Mac and Cheese... Oh, and it cost $4 upcharge to substitute for this side. The fries were good. Wings = 5 stars. And the one flame was appropriate. Not sure if Daniel gave us a choice of flavor for the wings?!?! But I was still very happy with the selection. And to wash it all down, we got the following: Detour Red Ale - If you are following, you know this is my current regular beer. Parley 6 IPA - After a VERY hard day of skiing. The BEER was GOOD! Atmosphere - Very similar atmosphere as the previous business. Not sure if the previous business was a brewery or tap room...? Cool decor throughout, see pictures. Events, see website. We came in for the daily special--2 burgers with fries, 2 beers, and a pound of wings for $38--and it was a great deal! We were seated right away, and the service was super fast and friendly. Our 3-year-old was obsessed with the animal skin on the chair (such a fun touch!), and the beer selection was solid. I'm currently pregnant and can't have alcohol, but the non-alcoholic cider they offered was actually so yummy--definitely a nice surprise. The food was plentiful and pretty tasty. It's not the highest quality, but for the price, it totally hits the spot. I'd recommend spending a little extra to upgrade to a double burger if you're really hungry--it's worth it. I can't say enough wonderful things about Parlay 6 Brewing. They're always so kind and welcoming. Their food is yummy and fun. They definitely now how to punch the flavors. They make excellent cocktail and their beer is fanatic. Love their Parlay Plater, it has a little bit of everything. And their pretzel bit ... cheese and crackers! Brisket Mac and cheese is out of this world!! My husband loves the beer braised brat... he'd eat it everyday if I'd let him. Stopped in for lunch today. It's laid out like a typical brewery/sports bar vibe. It's fairly large and decorated nicely. We're were greeted and seated Immediately. It's a little on the noisy side. The waiter was very nice and we ended up ordering the basque tri-tip sandwich with a side salad. We asked to have the dish split which they did without any up charge. We also order a side of bagel bites, along with 2 soft drinks. The food came out very quickly and it was amazing. The sandwich was super yummy. The meat was tender and perfectly flavorful. Having a brewery smack dab in the center of MidTown is certainly a big draw for me. And Parlay 6 has shown itself to be a really fun joint to swing by and grab a pint or a bite. Their beer menu is pretty impressive, and you're likely to find something delicious to slake that thirst no mater what sorts of brews you're into. I lean towards a lot of their IPA's, myself, with their namesake one, their Over/Under, and the Pirate's Code being some of my go-to's. I also especially enjoy the Southern Breeze Session. Plus, I will occasionally grab a short-pour of one of their darker, stronger beers, such as the Nutty by Nature stout. The food menu is also very good. It has a little something for everyone, with all sorts of elevated pub fare like burgers, sandos, salads, sides and the like. Their smash burgers are always great. And my compatriots liked their corndogs. Plus, we usually spring for an order of cheese curds to start out with. Make sure to check out their happy hour choices and their interesting late night menu, which includes some outstanding house-made pizza bagel bites. I also feel portions are good for the price, all of which I feel are decent. Service here has been quite good. Servers and bar staff and friendly, though things can get a little backed up and delayed on certain nights, since this joint does draw sizeable crowds. And it's easy to see why it's so popular. Easy enough for folks to wander in if they're in the area, plus this place has a lovely casual vibe that makes it pleasant to hang at. They even have a big dining area in the back for especially busy evenings or private parties. Parking can be a little bit of an issue, as it is in all of MidTown. But I've never had to go more than a couple of blocks away to find a space. All in all, this is a fantastic part of the Reno brew scene, and I certainly enjoy each time I manage to stop in. I've stopped in at Parlay 6 Brewing a few times and I've had a good experience each time! The staff is friendly and the service is quick. We've tried quite a few things on the menu including the house baked pretzels, beer braised brats, tri tip sandwich and flaming hot cheese curds. We love the brats and the tri tip sandwich! The pretzels were not great when we ordered them as they seemed stale and the cheese curds were good but we couldn't taste the flaming hot - the only thing was they were red. Other than that we really enjoy the beers there too and they have a good variety! We will be back here in the future! read more

I am happy to report that they had a very wonderful selection of non IPA beers! They had 3 different stouts on tap which I was thankful for, the wife even found 4 beers to put together a sampler which is not common for her. Their red and Vienna lager were top choices for me. Service was friendly. I like their patio for warmer days, but we chose to sit at the bar for the extra company. The wife and I shared the dirty fries which were really tasty, and a huge portion. The bartender said they had some other stouts in the works so it will be interesting to see what they have coming out in the next few months. What a nice setting outdoors to have a drink and have a pizza from next door (your kitchen wasn't open which is okay and understandable for a Tuesday). The initial plan was for visiting cousins to find a watering hole with some finger foods and a few screens for football. We were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance. So you have four guys sitting at the bar all drinking something different. All eating something different. No problem, the staff kept up splendidly. While the beers are nothing to blow your skirt up, the food is really good. They have a great smash burger. The ingredients definitely capture your attention. When you order say "extra bacon". Trust me. The Rueben was one of the best "bar Reubens" I've had in years. But the big winner for me was the Basque Brisket sandwich. Cousin Jasper insisted on telling everyone he bumped into how incredible the wings are. He's from the deep south so we tend to ignore him. Maybe you better try them, he may be a clown but he's also a Greater Cincinnati area chef. Oh and get someone in your party to order the traditional pretzels. Then you can sample them. I loved mine.
