I love the Flowing Tide Pubs: plenty of choices, many big screen TVs. Appetizer Buffalo wings & fries: very good, the fries were excellent. Pretty big for an appetizer. Ordered pan roast, got pot roast. I said, it looks great, but I ordered the pan roast. Laura said, yes, this is it. A bit of a language/accent barrier. She took it back, and I got pan roast later. The pan roast is okay. My standard in the Truckee Meadows is John Ascuaga's (or just the Nugget Casino now). I'm looking for creamy, buttery, and plenty of seafood. 2 of 3 - didn't taste the butter, it was more sweet than savory. The garlic toast was yum. No Coke Zero, it's a Pepsi joint, but only Diet Pepsi and not Pepsi Zero. read more

I was impressed with this one over at McCarran and Miraloma. Service was great. It was kind of early so we asked them to lower the music and they did so very nicely. Probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time I went for the bourbon burger. It was really great, but thenI had to ask for a separate plate because the sauce was making the bread soggy. This is only an update to my original review. I stopped in a while back when I was in a rush and asked if I could get one piece of fish and a tarter sauce because I didn't have time to eat much. The waitress was AWESOME and got me a piping hot piece of fish, super fast. That's been a few weeks ago and I'm in the same situation today. When I walked in I felt so lucky that the same waitress saw me and asked if I wanted my one piece of fish. I find that astounding that she could possibly remember me. IT IS SOOOO NICE to be remembered. The fish came super fast again and IS DELICIOUS as always My FAVORITE WAITRESS is named EVA! If you get her you are LUCKY!!! Service really matters! read more

Visiting family in Reno, we decided to go out for dinner. Since we're from out of town, we let them pick the place. They said this is one of their favorite spots here in Reno. This restaurant is close to their home & very nice. The interior reminded me of seafaring ships with large rope banisters, port holes, wooden flooring & so on. We found a table right away & our waitress came quickly. Sorry, but I didn't get her name. She was very friendly & quite jovial. A great example for any employee to follow. The menu was quite extensive, offering fare from pasta dishes to pot roast to sandwiches. I went with the cheesesteak with beer battered fries which were delicious. A crispy texture with a soft inner potato flavor. To be honest the fries could've been hotter. The Mrs had their special, a patty melt with tots. A grilled cheese sandwich with a hamburger patty placed in between, covered with cabbage & then grilled with a buttery, crunchy parmesan cheese. Wow! Came here after dinner for some drinks for a friends bday- inside had a ship theme going with like port holes and wood planks etc - super cute! We got the fishbowl drink to share and an appetizer platter - the alcohol was deceiving kuz it doesn't taste strong, we finished the entire fishbowl! The fish tacos at FTP are some of the best I've ever had! They come 3 to an order with massive pieces of fish and not much else! No need anything else! They're on flour tortillas, which isn't usually my choice, but it works for these. There's a lil bit of cheese & pico. You can get them blackened or fried... plot twist! Ask for both. Seriously so good! I wonder why some people have bad things to say about Flowing Tides. They're one of the few restaurants in Reno that are open 24 hours for full on food and fun. My go to is usually the tide turkey sandwich but this time I got it made into a wrap and it was absolutely delicious. We went to the location on Mira loma just off McCarran near Longley and our service was phenomenal. Great happy hour deals in the early evening and late night. Since this location is non smoking so you never walk out stinking like smoke. The Bartenders and service is always good, and we never have a bad time and I like the variety of food options they have. I ate here while visiting Reno. It was an average sports bar. They had good variety. There were not a ton of gluten free options but some of their appetizers and entrees were. I wasn't super hungry so I went with the tots. They were decent, typically bar food. I did enjoy watching the games. The service was excellent. These covid times are just too darn frustrating. I had a small amount of time to get lunch with my wife, so we called ahead and got ourselves on the "reservation" list. Thankfully they had space! When there all of the precautions were being taken as could be expected. The daily special was some sort of turkey sandwich and a cup of clam chowder. SOLD! When it came out..it was great. Flowing tide is one or two steps up from bar food as you would normally expect it. It's not fancy pants snobby food. Just good food. That is why it's a great choice when nothing really sounds good. You can almost always find something that sounds good there. We didn't get any drinks because I was on lunch. The service was great too...the food came quickly and our tab was handled quick as well. I will be going back whenever the mood strikes me...which should be more often than not. read more

This location is family friendly although the kids menu is pricey and lackluster (kids were better off just splitting a regular menu item). Great regular pub menu items like burgers and sandwiches with generous servings of crisp fries. Tacos were great for the specials price of 2 for $4. Cauliflower buffalo wings were really delicious, crispy and doused in buffalo sauce with thinly sliced celery and blue cheese crumbles. Very tasty but definitely share as it's not something you can eat a lot of. The only disappointment was the kids menu mac and cheese. It was a large portion, but tasted like generic boxed mac made with margarine, thin and runny for $8. it's a gem, especially if you live nearby or are having a park play date. read more

Then there is Kaylyn. Good times when she's on, Monday thur Thursday days till 4. And I gotta give a shout out to Rick and Stacy they come on around 4 and we always have a blast with them! The rest of the crew Megan, Erika, Haleigh, Kayla, Taryn, Nichole, Lisa, and Ashley are awesome! The food is great so shout out to the cooks! Lacey was our server and is amazing! Menu was varied and delicious. We tried the PinaChile Margaritas as her suggestion - they are fantastic!! I had the fish sandwich - it was huge and tasty.
