Tuesdays are great at Bighorn Tavern on Lakeside. Taco Tuesdays are the special deal with 2 tacos, cheese, cabbage, bell peppers, chipotle sauce , green salsa and meat of your choice, steak, chicken, pork, or fish. Also, the soup special is great for a light meal, today was chicken and rice, comes with toasted French bread. My friend had the chicken strips with garlic Parmesan seasoning. Four large chicken pieces, along with crispy onion rings. Add a large ice tea, free refills, to quench your thirst and to stay alert for DJ Trivia. Brittney was our server tonight and she was great. She anticipates our needs. She is proficient and personable. The ambiance is festive, family oriented and casual.

First time at this location and it was cool! Watched some basketball and had some yummy tacos. They made them super plain for me and they were perfect. The chicken in them was very good. I also really liked my strawberry mule mocktail. I didn't really love my raspberry lemon drop it was a bit strong for my taste. The fries also needed to be salty in my opinion. I like the vibes and we will be back this weekend for more March madness final 4. I'd actually really like to try brunch too. Nice outdoor patio but no TVs.

Good food, top notch service and a cool vibe. Our server Bobby was very helpful and offered advice on our meal. Thanks Bobby. Elk burger was good, but definitely want to try their other burger options. The jalapeño deviled eggs were a great way to start. Those eggs had a little fire, not too much, but noticeable and enjoyable. The bacon topping was spot on. No need to overload you with details. You walk in, get seated and have a drink in front of you pronto. Solid food menu and plenty of libation options. Would return.

Have to come back with the hubby! I didn't even know of this place, so I'd consider this a good find. This visit was more social with a side if breakfast, and our server totally got that. She had us with drinks right away and gave us plenty of time to look at the menu and chat. Very casual vibe, with a bar present to sit at for food or drinks. Nothing fancy so, as you are. Breakfast tacos - I wanted the chorizo tacos, but they were out!! Must be really good! So I went woth bacon, extra crispy pleaese! The tacos were really good. The tortillas were just the right amount of crisp like they'd been toasted. The green salsa was so good: a little spice, a little tang, and just a perfect topper for those tacos. The pork hash was just amazing. I will be going back just for that dish. I didn't know what to expect, and now I know it will be a flavor bomb every time. The pork is fork, tender, left in larger chunks for a big bite or you can break it apart and make a different bite with a potato or an onion. I don't really know how to describe the flavor, it was just amazing. It had a little bit of sweet, a lot of savory, a good amount of tang. It was just simply what I would consider a perfect example of umami.

Rustic bar/restaurant with good food and full bar. Can get a bit noisy in the evening but a friendly atmosphere. We were able to get a table for eight with little problem. Family friendly.

This was my first visit to the south location & my first time trying their brunch menu! I was feeling a little off and needed something simple to enjoy, their avocado toast hit the spot! It gave caprese salad vibes with an egg on top! Yum!!! I loved seeing everyone else's meals, pancakes, chicken fried steak, breakfast skillets!! Not one complaint from our crew. This location gives the same eclectic vibes as their northwest location which is our normal go-to. A mix of antler chandeliers and disco balls, ya can't beat it!

We went on Sunday around noon thirtyish we ordered bloody Maria's, which is made the tequila Instead of vodka. Chandler was our waiter. He was attentive friendly with an easiness about his demeanor. The burgers were good. The onion ring was really tasty. And the Bloody Mary's and Bloody Maria's were outstanding. It was quite a hot day outside at 101° which I think spilled over into the restaurant a bit. It was quite warm in there today. But overall, very tasty, very casual, and relaxing

My husband and I finally came here to try it out. We ordered some appetizers and sandwiches. The spinach artichoke was good, nothing too special. The mozzarella balls were cute and the perfect appetizers for kids too. We ordered the tri tip and po boy sandwhiches. I liked the po boy sandwhich better over the tri tip. The sauce in the sandwhich was really good. The tri tip was overcooked for me and the chimichurri sauce wasn't it. There was just something else missing in that sandwhich for me. I also asked if they can have my fries to be a little more crispy but they came out super soggy instead. Even though this wasn't the experience I hoped for, I'd wanna come back and try other things on their menu.

My husband came here for Taco Tuesday recently and it was even better than expected! It was our first time at this location. It is a cute, welcoming sports bar/restaurant! With sports decor on the walls and baseball playoffs on the various tvs, my husband was super happy to dine here. They also offer outside dining. On top of that, our server was very patient, attentive, and positive. Taco Tuesday here means for $12 you can have your choice of two tacos (chicken, pork, steak, shrimp, tofu, or fish) and a beer (a wide variety of choices). My husband and I each had a shrimp and a fish taco (we were given a choice of crispy fish or grilled and we chose grilled). We both loved the tacos! Super fresh and nicely seasoned! I was happy that I could have a cider instead of a beer and it was delicious! My husband had a Parlay 6 IPA and enjoyed it. We would love to come back!

Great venue especially for large groups. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The bloody Mary's are always great. My favorite breakfast has been the pork hash. Highly recommend!

I'm so excited I finally was able to try this place! They had a number of vegetarian options that sounded delicious. Love when a restaurant have a protein in their vegetarian dishes! I tried the veggie wrap, it was delicious. A little spicy for my daughter but I loved it. So awesome when a restaurant isn't afraid to use tofu! The wait staff was great, friendly, fast, and attentive even for how busy they were. Will definitely be back!

Love this place, cool hunting cabin decor. Plenty of space, clean restaurant, with ample seating indoor and outside. Nice relaxing fountain outside too. The service was great, very attentive, and super friendly. I got the Quinoa salad with tofu and it was very good. There is a lot more on the menu that I want to taste so I'll be back. Great menu selection, vegetarian options too. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their breakfast sounded amazing. My granddaughter got the little mini cheeseburgers with fruit (love that they had that option) it can also come with fries of course. Great beer selection too, along with wine and cocktails. See ya soon.

Our bartender, Robert, was friendly, engaging, and delivered great service. The bar itself is longer, allowing for enough seating and not being crammed in. The margarita on their cocktail menu was delicious. The tequila was noted to have a spice to it but the drink wasn't spicy, instead it was refreshing and not sweet (which I dislike in a margarita). We tried 4 different appetizers. My favorite was the shrimp lettuce wraps 5/5. They were messy to eat, but the flavors are really nice. The chicken tacos were also good with the coleslaw crunch. The potstickers themselves were more a 4/5 for me with the sauce being better than a lot of others I've tried. The bruschetta was my least favorite 3/5, bread could have been a little more crisp, and I think with tomatoes not being in season, it wasn't as flavorful.

There were about thirty of us, accommodated by sliding multiple tables together, which was nice. However, as only ONE server was assigned to us, it gave her a busy night; but she (didn't get her name) handled it with good humor, skill and a lot of genuine smiles. I ordered chicken parmesan, which when delivered had been pounded thin, breaded and fried and served with a little spaghetti. Overall, I found the dish to be OK, but IMHO a bit pricey and not something I'd recommend to others. My BIG problem was finding a thin metal "ribbon"-like thing in my entrée. It was about four inches long and one end was coiled as tight as a spring. To me, it looked to be the result of aggressive knife sharpening. Our server wasn't around at the moment, so with the urging of a couple fellow diners, I called a man over who seemed to be assisting her. When I showed him the object, he said he thought it came out of their dishwashers (?) and he was sorry it got into my meal. He took the "ribbon" and left, looking for a manager, I thought. When our server began handing out our individual bills, the man hadn't returned, so I spoke with her instead. When I described what I had found, she looked genuinely shocked, so obviously the other guy hadn't shared the information with her. I told her that I was grateful I hadn't swallowed the spring, but I still felt a discount on my meal would be appropriate. When I was given my bill, a 25% discount had been applied to my entrée, or about $6.75. I didn't feel satisfied, but we had now been sitting for well over an hour and I needed to get up and walk off the stiffness in my leg muscles. Speaking ONLY for myself and not the group, I won't be returning.

It was our 1st time eating there however it had been on our list for some time. We started with the PULL-APART GARLIC CHEESE BREAD which is Focaccia, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan, frico crust and also ordered the WOOD FIRED OCTOPUS with crispy gnocchi, tomatoes, red onion, basil, arugula and topped with a Calabrian chili aioli. Both were fantastic, seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature!! For our entree we hate the BEE STING pizza. Make with a 72 Hour Fermented Organic Dough topped with Salami, red onion, basil, serranos, mozzarella and honey. The crust was delicious, crunchy, thin and when combined with the sauce, seasoning and toppings, an excellent pizza. Additionally we ordered two of the in-house, housemaid pasta. The ARRABBIATA , a roasted red pepper campanelle, with Calabrese sausage, garlic, chilis, broccolini and topped with Parmesan, pecorino. The other pasta we tried was the BLACK SPAGHETTI, mixed with clams, scallops, shrimp, hot chopped peppers, white wine, butter and lemon. It was fantastic!! Cooked al dente and packed with flavor. He was attentive to our needs and patient with all our questions. The restaurant is a good size, the bar area was busy and filled with conversation and laughter, the booths looked cozy, we chose a table near windows for outside lighting. The eating area is very spacious and commodious. Though this place has a casual vibe, the presentation of the food is totally fine-dining material. Each dish, especially the Citrus glazed salmon, is served as a piece of art. I've been here around three times before I installed yelp, and am excited to finally leave a review. The short rib, was absolutely amazing. The short rib was so tender, and each brussels sprout was a literal flavor bomb. The brussels sprouts I've had at other places have flavor only on the exterior, whereas the brussels sprouts here play a different game. The short rib is served in a really big portion. Though it may look dark from the photos, there are actually three big pieces. I loved loved loved the sauce; there's a sweet tangy taste to it, though it reminded me a lot of BBQ sauce. This short rib was a win. Chefs kiss. The truffle lasagna was terrific; so much sauce in between the lasagna layers. I could absolutely make out the truffle flavor in this dish. However, I recommend eating this dish quickly, as the lasagna stiffens really quickly. Thirty minutes after it was served, I went it to take another bite, and it wasn't as good anymore. The ceasar salad +beef is a great choice for a light but filling meal when you're currently on a healthy diet. Each dish here comes in giant portions, but even after you finish this salad, it won't feel too heavy on your body. I think it's because Washoe is really light on the dressing levels; perfecting the amount so it doesn't overtake the fresh flavor of the greens or leave the salad bland and insipid. However, the beef was a bit too well done and on the firmer side. The first time coming here, I was totally shocked to find out that the food they served did not match the relaxed and informal vibe the setting sets up. Not a bad thing at all. Creates a laid-back vibe while still getting high quality food.

Our most recent visit was dinner to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary. It still maintains it's casual atmosphere. The entrance has shifted to the Ridge Street side of the building. A good decision. It always felt a bit cramped to check in in the bar area especially when they are busy. Dining area is now mostly in the back room. While the setting is casual, the food is upscale - including the burgers. They offer game meats, elk, kangaroo, venison, and wild boar, in addition to high end beef and a small selection of seafood. They also have a few vegetarian/vegan options. I had the Citrus Glazed Salmon with root vegetables and squash. It was very good. The salmon was fresh and and flaky and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Rock Candy Short Rib. He deemed it "acceptable" Mine was paired with a light dry Savengon Blanc. Service was good and our satisfaction was checked. I debated between a 4 or 5 star experience - I decided on 5 mostly due to the quality of the meal. Return visit? Yes.
