Very good burger and beets & burrata appetizer. The cheeseburger was massive, so come hungry and prepared! Cool experience as the venue was once an automotive garage turned restaurant. Service was fast and we enjoyed their recommendations. Fun note, we learned that the owner is a retired chef who wanted to open his own restaurant. It showed as the dishes were delicious, but also shared style.

I can't believe it took as almost a full year to try Reno Bar and Grill. Wish we would have came in sooner. Casual atmosphere with an option for out door seating. They also have a bar, high tops and regular height tables as well. Service was very fast and friendly. They time the appetizers to the man course perfectly so you're not eating both at the same time. Ordered the beet and burrata appetizer. It was huge and beautiful! The colors of the ingredients jumped off the plate and tasted just as great. Had the Reno burger as well and my goodness, amazing and generous portion. It came with an eye appealing piece of fried cheese and a delicious sauce. It was messy but I just knife and forked it to solve that issue. Came with hand cut fries and ketchup. Excited to try more items! We were told the owner/chef likes to add new things all the time.

The food at Reno Bar & Grill was amazing and the service was spot on. The restaurant itself is very nice, with plenty of seating and parking which made everything easy and comfortable. The stuffed lamb was honestly the best I've ever eaten -- absolutely incredible. Just a heads up, the restaurant was pretty cold inside, so bring a jacket. Great experience overall!

So glad I finally had a chance to give this place a try. I had heard so many positive things about the food, that when my regular lunch buddy said 'YES" to my suggestion I felt we were on the right track. We were treated warmly and water and menus were provided right away. Since we like to save room for desert, we decided to split the Shrimp PoBoy with a generous serving of french fries. Our waitress, to save us having to pay extra for splitting the meal, brought us an extra plate to split it ourselves. The sandwich was very good with a nice balance of tomatoes, lettuce, mayo and of course spicy shrimp cooked to perfection. The fries were made from real potatoes and were a lovely salty tasty treat. The space is open and a bit stark, but fairy lights and plants on the wall softened the overall ambiance. The service was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a return visit.

The bar, local and stocked with the good stuff.

Is the term Local Watering Hole really a thing anymore? I have heard it before but I feel it at Reno Bar & Grill. Sure, it is near downtown so tourists are welcome too. But this is a place where locals can come from the South of Reno, Midtown, Verdi, North Valleys or Sparks and find a welcome home feeling with the staff, regulars, family and friends. The owner Shane and the staff make it standard to check in with you, not just how's the food? It is more how have you been and we are glad you are here today. The atmosphere is casual-esque but is elevated at the same time. The lights, tables, and décor all add to the local feel that would be appropriate for a business lunch, happy hour, pre-rodeo warm up or an elegant night out for a special event. If you want to impress your out-of-town visitors with a unique offering that expresses Reno's heritage, this is where to bring them. Almost forgot the food & drinks. The menu was clearly hand selected by a true foodie craftsman that knows flavors and flair. The bar was curated by a couple that could have been auditioning for Lisa Vanderpump. Impressive is the best way to sum up the overall experience. Don't just take my word for it, try it for yourself. Cheers!

This place had been getting great reviews so we needed to make a stop here. My family came for dinner and we were impressed by the huge portions of food. A couple of us got the pork belly burger, but it felt more like a gimmick than actually a great burger. I'd love to see thick cut bacon and used instead of pork belly - it's hard to cook pork belly just right and they missed the mark. My son was thrilled with the macaroni and cheese portion, but I didn't feel like it had a ton of flavor. Service was OK but not overwhelmingly great.

Delish!!!! We had the chance to sample some of RBG's meatballs at a Yelp event and couldn't wait to try their brick and mortar location in Mid Town. We were NOT disappointed. From my spicy marg to the stuff lamb lollipops and beet burrata salad we were in heaven. Of course we had the meatballs too! Great staff-nice vibe We will be back!

Update to last review. Think the waitlist issue still exists, call for a reservation on busy nights. We did end up going back. Sat at a bar table - service was good though bartenders were extremely busy. They are your servers while mixing drinks. Ordered the Reno Rodeo Burger. Sounds delicious though execution a little lacking. Burger cooked perfect, pork belly a little bland as well as cooked just over making it a little tough. The cheese skirt tasted like burnt cheese, ended up taking it off. Friends got the Cajun pasta and jambalaya- both were delicious and huge portions. We will definitely be back to try something different, think the burger was just a one off.

Had a great lunch out with my coworkers today. Food and friends is always a good idea. I have heard good things about Reno Bar and Grill and was excited to try it. I was even more excited to find out it's only a couple blocks from my work. The place is cute inside and had plenty of room. It also has a full bar. Service was good and our server was pleasant. I had the chicken Caesar salad and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My friends got the dry rub wings and the Reno burger. They liked theirs as well

I had heard some mixed reviews about Reno Bar and Grill which kept me from visiting them earlier. The place was clean and the service was friendly, the food however was lacking in flavor. We got there 15 minutes before happy hour was over so we decided to order our drinks as soon as we sat down. My glass of Sauvignon Blanc ended up being $12, not really sure if I would call it a happy hour price. I had high hopes for the Rodeo Burger but unfortunately, it looked better than it tasted. The whole thing was just flavorless for how much was going on. The pork belly was bland, the onion ring was bland and soggy. We also had the wings which were nice and crispy and a lot more flavorful.

Stopped in early on a Friday for the happy hour and really just to try the wings, Deanna F had heard they were good and something that RBG is known for. On happy hour they were, I believe maybe $2 off. Not a great happy hour special.. Greeted well, served well can't complain service was fine. Pretty cool setup inside, nice restaurant imo The wings were mid honestly. The blue cheese dressing I believe was ranch with bleu cheese chunks, which was okay but a little disappointing too. Only 2 flavors of wings available for some reason.. and they were just okay. Well prepared but build up didn't meet the expectations (especially for the price)

I was pleased to learn that they have a happy hour, so we had to stop in! GREAT prices on beer for happy hour, with a few snack options too. Unfortunately, not one of the food options on happy hour was vegetarian/pescatarian. I've actually been wanting to come in for the soft shell crab tacos. They're deep-fried, so an interesting taste and texture. My favorite thing that we ordered was the double chocolate goat cheese ice cream! As an ice cream enthusiast, I really loved the flavor and texture. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. Our server, Reyna, was super quick and attentive. I'd like to go back, I appreciate the open windows and I liked the dim lighting.

Omg this place has great food and amazing drinks to go with it. The service was extremely awesome. I have been twice and I must say the first visit was great and the second one leaves to me say excellent. Service on time food hot and cook to perfection. And not to forget the owner is a good dude. 10 out 10 Can't forget that the outside might not be great but once you walk in the feeling is awesome.

Ask the Community - Reno Bar and Grill

    Is this place kid friendly?

you can bring well behaved kids. Sure. But In my mind its more for adults

Do they take reservations? Is the phone number listed correct? They don't pick up the phone and there's no voicemail. Also, there's no response to messaging. Is there another way to reach them?

Try reaching out to them on Instagram. They're very active on that account. They've also only been open about a week. Not sure on reservations.

Love the quality of the drinks as they absolutely put effort and time making quality drinks with quality ingredients. It's relatively small inside so I can only imagine it could get packed in there. We had several drinks and every single one was perfection! The bathroom is the cutest and they have the coolest speakeasy door that the employees use to get to the back (not for the customers). My rant..I'm not from the area so I had NO idea what this place was when I walked by. It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. I walked inside and instantly got the death glare from an employee. I instantly said omg I take it this place isn't kid friendly.. he rudely said no. I wanted to clarify and confirm even outside ? He said no. I apologized and they left but the vibe and way he said it was definitely off putting. My sister and I decided to stay for a drink while my husband/child went to walk around. Usually I don't give bad costumer service a chance.. but I realllllllly wanted a drink that one of those others customers were drinking. If this place had better costumer service. It would be a 5

It was still pretty crowded which was nice to see, so we grabbed a spot at the bar. The bartender was friendly and quick to serve us. We ordered some draft beers, they had a good selection available. We then ordered the Crab and Artichoke skillet as an appetizer, and the Stuffed Avocado salad and Fish and Chips as our entrees. The skillet came out first but shortly after we received our entrees. That was actually a good thing because they were a good compliment to eat all together. It was more than enough food for 2 people and everything was delicious. The stuffed Avocado salad was interesting and it was delicious. The fish and chips were good, the fish was more of a tender which was actually nice because it wasn't greasy. Not sure I would order it again because there are so many other good options on the menu, but it was good. The artichoke and Crab skillet was excellent as well. We both left satisfied and impressed by the overall quality and service, already planning to go back again when the patio opens because they will let you have dogs which is always a big bonus!
