I just had water to drink but there were multiple offerings from boozy to soft drinks and other non-alcoholic choices. Our server was attentive and checked on us throughout. The meals took awhile to get to us (I think their kitchen probably covers more than just Hanna's Table) but it was worth the wait. I frequent Hanna's Table often, and I was so excited to see the new drink menu that I decided to branch out and try something different. I absolutely loved the White Linen -- and that's saying a lot because I'm usually not much of a gin drinker. Tonight I also tried the Blueberry Lemon Drop. I tend to like more of a tart citrus flavor, so it wasn't exactly the tartness I expected at first; however, once I ate the blueberry garnish and took another sip, it completely changed the drink for me and tasted much better. I also tried two of their specials -- the Salmon with Alfredo sauce and the Tenderloin sliders. Again, Alfredo normally isn't my thing, but the Salmon was cooked beautifully and the sauce was very enjoyable, especially since they accommodated my request for a lighter amount. Since I couldn't decide between dishes, I ordered the tenderloin sliders to-go as well... and they were delicious too! Our server Miguel was new and did a really good job. You could tell he was just a little nervous, but he was attentive, kind, and handled himself well. I procrastinated reviewing this restaurant because I don't like leaving negative reviews but here goes. Pros: the restaurant is spacious and easily accommodate large parties. The menu has a variety of dishes and it was really delicious and well-prepared. The bus-persons and food runners were great: friendly and attentive. Cons: the cashier, our waitress and the manager lack initiative. Our server disappeared at the end of the meal; meanwhile, we had a starring contest with the cashier who I guess couldn't leave her station to drop off the check or ring us up, so we had to walk-up to the hostess to ask for the check, to which we were directed to the manager who then dropped off a copy of the receipt after about 20 minutes but didn't bother ringing it up. Instead, she strolled out to the casino floor with another woman and had a long, languid conversation. After about an hour, we flagged her back down and told her we were ready to pay the bill, she then directed us to the bar where the cashier was. This is the diner at the J Casino where Mel's used to be. I have learned to prepare for a little wait so plan on about 15-30 before your food comes. Freshly made food, not fast food. My fave is the crispy topped salmon, cheesy farro, blistered tomatoes and asparagus one can eat to the stem meal. I love it. They have a featured lasagna special that came with a lot of meat sauce within the noodle layers. The cheesy bread sticks that came with it tasted freshly baked and was quite addicting. Recently had a mini staycation at the J and was not disappointed. The service was great at the restaurant, which was very clean and comfortable. The food came out hot and in a reasonable amount of time. The eggs benedict weren't the best I've had, but not the worst either. The sauce was a little thick in my opinion, but had decent flavor. This diner is easy to get to from parking. Located right in front, so no need to walk through the Casino portion of the J Resort. Server was attentive. I was excited they have a Monte Cristo on the menu. Sweet, fried, with Swiss cheese, turkey and ham. Don't come across it very much. It met my expectations. Half was enough, so had leftovers. Compared to the one on Cafe Milano (Peppermill) menu, the sandwich is a toss up. Hannah's table had a blueberry based jam for dipping that I liked better (tasted like it was made in house verses others). But I like the presentation of the sandwich at Cafe Milano more. Food is reasonably priced. Breakfast dishes are usually better here than your average diner. We've had pretty good lunches, too: their sandwiches, soups, and salads are delicious. On a recent lunch visit, I had the grilled salmon dish with creamy farro, blistered tomatoes, and asparagus... it was cooked to perfection! Service is always quick and friendly. This was my first time here. My friend and I were wanting to get some food to-go, so the hostess directed us to the bar. We decided to sit and have some food and take the rest to go. Joellene was our bartender/server, along with Gerardo behind the bar with her. They were also both simultaneously serving tables of guests. This is the coffee shop located inside J's Casino. It pays to have the player's card. I love this hidden location in the casino. It makes it feel cozy. It has a cozy ambiance that is wide and open. I have been for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is flavorful and delicious. My son prefers the Waffles with fruit. I got the veggie skillet. It is delicious and I would order this again. On another occasion, we had Fish and Chips, BBQ Skillet, Steak and eggs. The steak and eggs were just ok. But the Fish and Chips were delicious. We were staying at the Silver Legacy and wanted a change in restaurant from the cafe they had there. Only a few blocks from the hotel (6 Minute walk) to Hannah's Table which is located in J Casino. To me, it was a good choice. Price was way less than what you can find at the Row's cafe. I got the steak and eggs ($24) and my wife got the avocado toast ($15). We both thought the steak was delicious, meaty and what I recall the steak and eggs breakfast plates of yester year in Vegas downtown. Due to inflation, may be hard to find a $9.99 or even a $12.99 steak and eggs breakfast in Nevada casinos. Service was great and attentive. We got two coffee that came to $10 which was the most overpriced item I felt. They did give a carafe to drink more coffee. Overall, it was a great cafe in Reno. Nice and clean setting . I tried visiting this place once before, but the service was kind of slow almost as if they were understaffed, so I left. I came back this week, but I called the order in ahead of time, and they told me it would be 20 minutes. When I arrived, I saw the food ready, but no one was there to check me out so I still had to wait around a little bit for that. Now the food was great. I had a very simple meal chicken fingers and fries, but everything was seasoned well. As well as the breakfast burger. Again both of the items were good. They were hot. My review of the venue is a 4.5/5 as condiments are presented at table side when you get your meal, so I would only suggest if you're eating here and want some ketchup or any other condiment, ask for it when you order. Chicken fried sandwich: 3.5/5 stars -Presentation is almost impeccable for the simple vibe you get from the restaurant. If you're going for the minimalist mindset, you have achieved this as a 5/5 stars. The tomato and lettuce used in the sandwich were fresh, if you are a BLT person, you'll appreciate this approach to a chicken fried sandwich. As for flavor experience. It could have been so much more... the garlic aioli was delicious! However it was lacking, it would've helped to make up the dryness of the bread as the bottom bread was perfect in texture, but the top bread unfortunately crumbled as you bit down. The chicken fried steak was under seasoned but texturally was pleasing. The combined flavors married well but unfortunately had lacking elements that would give this a 5/5. I'm typically a chicken fried steak for breakfast person, so I gave this a chance without the gravy and it didn't disappoint, I felt happy with my decision and I think you will be too, just make sure to ask for some more aioli sauce on the side in case it's a little dry as I think that would be the perfect finishing touch. Ask for your ranch and ketchup for your fries at order so you get them with your meal as well, other than that. My boyfriend and I came for brunch after church on Sunday where it wasn't too crowded and were seated upon arrival. The hostess explained how their Brunch menu worked as it was provided as self serve outside and included bottomless mimosas. We didn't choose brunch but did decide on ordering their regular entrees. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with over easy eggs and potatoes while my boyfriend got the steak and eggs. We did choose to get one flute of the mimosa which was fresh and not too concentrated with juice. As more groups came in they were starting to get busy but the staff made sure to check on us and refill our waters as needed. Once we got our plates the presentations were nice and looked like a full meal. We did have to add a little salt and pepper but the food was overall good. Unfortunately I did find a hair in my Corned Beef :( I was able to tell and show one of the servers who acted fast in getting the manager as well as ordering a new plate. Since my boyfriends steak looked pretty good I just opted to get the same thing. The manager Heather was very nice and understanding on getting my second plate out to me in time as well as comping my meal. She also informed me of the new editions made to the casino and what is still in the works. I liked that she included information about the events such as Jazz nights on Sundays and there being a non smoking section. Now that I know that they have brunch on Sundays I made sure to tell my friends as it seems like a decent price for another bottomless mimosa deal. If you have a players card and play table games or slots you can see if you have any comps or food vouchers to count towards your bill. The burger was good, but I would definitely recommend ordering the tomato jam on the side. It is too sweet and can overpower the entire burger. If you're used to a salty savory burger, definitely order without the jam. Fries were delicious pickles were crunchy. Just wish there was a little bit more communication and that I would have gotten the jam on the side instead of on the burger. Just an observation for future patrons.
