Cute little cocktail bar we discovered while bar hopping in Midtown. Drinks were very pretty and delicious but a bit pricey. Not sure if it was just a weird night but it was also suuuuper dead when we were there

Another favorite (and is owned by the same owners as Death & Taxes), I absolutely adore Amari for some classic cocktails. Some of my favorites are their Manhattans and also, based on a recommendation from a bartender (whom I adore!) the Il Professore. Absolutely delicious all with great balance and profiles, we have made this our favorite summer spot. Nestled in the middle of midtown, there is intimate seating inside but the vibes outside are wonderful, especially as the sun goes down on a summer evening. It's definitely the spot to be in if you want to try out some great craft cocktails!

For as long as I have lived in midtown, I can't believe I haven't been to this place. It is so cute and tiny. Very romantic and intimate. Theres indoor seating with a small bar. When the weather is nice, their outdoor seating is great ! Their cocktails are top notch. I highly recommend the espresso martini. Of course

If you enjoy a fantastic espresso martini, this is the place for you! It's a small, cozy bar located right in the middle of downtown.

We've been to this bar a couple of times in the past few weeks and within the past year. The lighting makes for great ambiance and a wonderful date night location, before or after dinner. It's next door to death and taxes which has the opposite vibe, so there's something for everyone. The drinks here are mostly gin based, which is my absolute favorite and makes this place one of the best places on my list to get drinks. All of the drinks I've tried from them are delicious. My favorites are the french 75, which is hard to find a well made one, and the white linen. My boyfriend got a paper plane and also liked it. The aesthetics carry into the drinks with cute lemon peels as garnishes. The price point is a little high, but honestly most bars are. I don't feel they're as welcoming as other bars, but their layout can make that more difficult. For the quality, delicious drink options, and beautiful venue, we will always keep coming back.

Love this little bar! Amazing cocktails, always friendly and amazing staff! A cute little location to have a drink out. Their Paper Plane is one of my favorite drinks out! (I did not get that this time - but will always get one next time)

Another gem that I can't believe I haven't visited before now! This intimate bar/lounge is absolutely perfect! The interior is stylishly decorated, and the patio is the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious cocktail! Jumping on the Espresso Martini bandwagon, I selected theirs because I heard they make one of the best. It absolutely did not disappoint! Smooth, creamy and just the best blend of flavors! My hubby opted for his go-to Old Fashioned, and had zero complaints. Definitely a place I will be coming back to and referring people to as much as I can.

I visited Amari around 6 pm on a Wednesday night and all of the tables inside were taken. We sat outside for a few minutes after ordering our drinks and luckily a table opened up so we were able to move inside. We ordered a strawberry martini and a white linen. Both drinks were exquisite and delicious. I don't think the cost of the drink is worth it at most bars, but the drinks at Amari were definitely worth the price! I ordered a strawberry martini thinking the strawberry flavor would be in the drink. I was surprised when the strawberry flavor was just the dusting on the outside of the glass, but the flavors of the dusting and the drink worked together so well. The white linen was such a light and refreshing drink. Amari has the perfect menu for the warm summer days ahead. The service is a bit slower than at other bars, even when your drinks are the only ones being made, and the bartender didn't seem very interested in conversing with the patrons. I can't wait to come back and try more of Amari's menu!

If you're looking to step into a New York/European oasis in Reno, definitely check out this quaint little bar! Amari features both a beautiful indoor booth area and outdoor garden seating, as well as a simple menu of classic European drinks such as Aperol spritz, Prosecco and gin & tonic. The bartender is quite attentive and masterful at crafting cocktails, but he also gives you enough space to ensure that you can focus on your own intimate conversations. Would recommend checking them out for a classy date if you're in the Midtown Reno area!

I've always wanted to try this place, it's a bar in midtown that offers Italian inspired cocktails and spritz. I won a gift card to Amari which finally gave my husband and I no excuse not to try it out. Being centrally located in midtown is nice and it has a few small seating inside as well as a very cute courtyard with seating. Small tables, plants, lights and cure Amari and Campari signs. My husband tried the marzipan old fashion and it was really good, he wished he tasted more almond like flavor but I personally really liked it and I don't drink whiskey or bourbon. He also for the French 75 and it was a good classic drink. For myself, I usually always order an espresso martini when I go to places and the bartender was nice in recommending drinks based on my interests and she recommended me try this and a spritz. It was honestly one of the best espresso martinis I've had (and I've tried them all around socal, Truckee, Reno, Amsterdam, London, Croatia, and italy). Definitely worth trying, it's the perfect sweet to bitter to semi strong drink. After that I got the itailian riviera spritz and was also really good and don't know really know how to describe it other than totally worth trying as well. They also have Negroni, grappa and Amaro flights we will have to try next time. Definitely a nice place to relax and try some nice cocktails with the hubbie.

Absolutely loved this place. It's not a super innovative cocktail program like their sister bar, Death and Taxes, but their focus on doing killer classics was solid! The bartender that was there was very knowledgeable and friendly. 10/10 would recommend!

A classy bar with modern speakeasy vibes. It is tucked near Taco Shop and Death and Taxes. This is a quaint bar with limited seating but ample atmosphere. Their drinks were nicely priced as the cocktails were large. The unique menu item were their flights which are a selection of alcohol at sample size. I had the Amaro flight and it was a little out of my league, but it was an elegant set of drinks. My friends also had cocktails which was more my style. Too bad this place can only seat so many people at once. But it is a great place for bar hopping!

The Cherry blossom cocktail is on the menu posted outside, but no longer available.
    Scott F.

The menu posted outside lists a Cherry Blossom Negroni, using cherry blossom infused vermouth. Sounds awesome! I order it, only to be told that it's no longer on the menu; the menu posted outside is over a year old. Lame. Instead, I had an Italicus spritz: I do not recommend it.

My rant..I'm not from the area so I had NO idea what this place was when I walked by. It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. The 1859 mocktail was great. Perfectly sweet with a small hit of miso flavor from the miso honey. Probably even better and more balanced with the whiskey!
