    The patio where we ate.

The Jesse has new owners. They decided to do something different for us foodies in Reno and started serving a Turkish Buffet. I can honestly say I did not recognize some of the dishes and could not give you the names of any of them. However, everything I tasted was new to me and delicious! The poached eggs on seasoned yogurt was one of my favorites. There was sausage and fruit, a yummy "breakfast" tomato based sauce that went well on many items, along with Turkish coffee. And to top it off bottomless mimosas! We will be back!

We had seen a post about their Turkish brunch and decided we had to try it. It was a good think we had a reservation because it has been a hit since they started it. We were seated outside on their patio area which was quite lovely. The cold portion of the brunch was set up inside and our wonderful server brought us our drinks and our warm food items. It all was quite tasty and I see a return trip ahead. We looked at their evening menu to see what they have available for then too.

Friday night on 4th street and found this absolute gem! 3 of us stopped for a drink at this beautiful bar. Ended up outside for a Latin spinning DJ. So much fun dancing and watching all the great dancers enjoying the music and beautiful weather. Beautiful inside space. Great outside seating. Really interesting drink menu. So much fun! Top it off with Friday night fireworks from Aces Stadium around the corner. Go check them out for an intimate date or group outing.

Ordered the vino verde, Lady of Nyx cocktail and fries. The cocktail was perfect earthy beet flavor but not overpowering. Fries were thick and crispy. Need to come back and try other menu items. Server was attentive and friendly.

WOW. The Jesse has just given Reno a fabulous new way to Sunday brunch Turkish style. I managed to make the initial Sunday brunch with friends. The partly cloudy morning was perfect on the huge patio behind the Jesse. Partially covered by a trellis of flowering vines, some tables in the sun and others under large umbrellas. Some seat inside are also available. Enter through the parking lot and you'll be greeted at the patio entrance. I highly suggest a reservation, glad we had them because this gem won't stay a secret very long. Each table received a literal smorgasbord of Turkish breakfast delights. To start, at the bar there was a long table set up with various breads, dried and fresh fruit, nuts and sliced heirloom tomatoes. I recommend a plate from here to share with the table. At the table numerous dishes will begin to arrive. Let's begin- Cheese plate with cheese and walnuts Olives Cherry tomatoes and cucumbers in olive oil Preserves Honey and clotted cream ( the table was cleaning the bowl with the bread) Breakfast spread- so delicious Sucuk, Turkish sausage, perfect bite sizes Mihlama, cheese fondue that ever bite was made more delicious when dipped in Cilbir, eggs in garlic and yogurt. Mmmm Gozleme, a thin stuffed flatbread Borek, my favorite and next to impossible to find in this area, is a very flaky pastry with cheese Simit, sesame seed ring Bread slices Cay, Turkish tea, incredibly hot Tea Coffee Turkish Coffee, also incredibly hot and powerful Mimosa The service was beyond fabulous, we had various staff members checking on us throughout our leisure hour and a half brunch session. Simply a gorgeous spot for a devine meal with friends. Chef Araceli, of Flavor Studio helped create the menu. I wave my spoon to her, she has outdone herself once again. Say hello when you see me, because I am definitely returning. Limited parking in the private lot. I recommend street parking across the street on Evans.

I'm always one to root for an underdog. But it looks like these dogs ate too much of their own cake, bit off way more than they can chew, and devoured the hands that fed them too. Currently, handless as I'm writing this myself. Hopefully, they'll make a comeback or throw out the trash. Also, not cool at all, yet sadly surprised and very upset knowing they continue to harm others. Visiting family and they brought us here for Salsa Lessons. Absolutely fun. Great space in and out. Extremely clean. Awesome cocktails and staff. Excellent selection of spirits and creativity put in. A bit slow on the service but enjoyed the wait talking with everyone. Food was brought out temperature appropriate and was flavorful. Fries a guilty pleasure for me that I don't often indulge in was well with the order. Only comment during salsa lessons we were always changing partners. I get why for the social aspect but my party wanted to stay partnered up so we could Practice wirh each other. Suggestion is during the lesson have a section that are willing to switch partners in a section that want to remain with their partner. This place is a definite try and we will be back when visiting Reno in the future.

We came here for a fun girls happy hour and we even themed it up with a Mrs Roper night. Super fun place with hotel rooms upstairs. Great bar area and outdoor patio. Private parking lot with limited spaces, but convenient. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Britt was fantastic behind the bar and Brock was a fabulous server. He really was great with explaining food, taking our orders, and even getting us to-go containers. The food was delicious and lots of variety. We even met the owner John who came out to speak with us. Overall a great night filled with laughs, great food and drink, plus amazing memories. We will be back.

I love the Jesse, the patio is so spacious and is a great spot to soak up some sun with some friends. I also love coming to the Jesse for salsa nights and hope they continue to do those! I actually really like the updated menu to Mediterranean as I always found the tacos to be too expensive. The feta fries are a must really crispy and the zaatar seasoning is great. We got the beef kebab platter the pitas were yummy, tangy red onion, the beef was a little tough though too chewy but the veggies were amazing and everything looked great on the platter altogether. My passionfruit margarita was delicious and well balanced. The drinks still hit and I'm excited about the mediterranean/middle eastern flair. If only they had khachapuri on the menu then my day would really be made!

I went to the launch of their new Turkish Sunday Brunch and was blown away. It's a price fixed menu for such a reasonable price point. You don't order off menu--they just start bringing stuff out. There was a cheese plate, tomato and cucumber salad, cheese fondue, sausages, a puff pastry with cheese, stuffed flat bread, and my personal favorite, soft boiled eggs with yogurt and a nice spicy garlic drizzle. They had some amazing dipping options like tahini, Nutella, cream with honey, and this magical Smokey tomato spread. Inside was a beautiful grazing table with even more breads and dried fruits. You can top the meal off with mimosas, Turkish coffee and Turkish tea. The staff was welcoming and friendly and we sat on the patio, which was a perfect setting. If you're looking for a unique Sunday brunch experience, there's nothing like it in Reno. Reservations are recommend, as they were sold out the day we went

New owners is always a bittersweet time. But this one feels extra sweet because they are awesome. The coffee has been fantastic and I cannot wait to try the cocktails one of these nights soon. The interior is beautiful and a great spot to get some work done.

The Jesse did an incredible job on the new Sunday Turkish brunch. Staff was so nice, did a great job explaining everything, the food was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect. 10/10 recommend! Excited to come back for dinner.

I was invited to a birthday party here they do catering. And set up a nice room we had hamburgers, chicken nuggets and really good french fries. it was very very well done the bar as well. Attended the people that work. There are very good and what they do. The patio is perfect for a nice non-windy day so I will go back there to try their breakfast menu and they have really good coffee.

I have loved watching it evolve over the years,…read moreespecially the restaurant, which started as a small offering and has now really come into its own. We had to feed a crowd at home recently and Middle Eastern cuisine suited everyone's fancy, so naturally Aladdin's was the call. Using the online ordering system was simple, and the food was ready right on time. My only feedback is that the items don't all clearly describe what you get or how the dish comes, and so I added sauces thinking they came on the side but really came on top, and paid upcharges for things like pita, thinking they didn't come with it but then finding out they did and I just added a lot of extra. I ordered a few shawarma plates, an Aladdin combo, and hummus, falafel, and babaganoush appetizers. Everything was delicious, but some items were a bit surprising. The hummus is was a bit on the loose side, and we actually thought it was tahini from the look, aroma, and flavor. My guess is the batch was made with a bit more tahini than normal. Still good, but surprising. The Aladdin's Combo didn't look as pictured on the website, where it looks like a very sizable portion of meat, with chicken in a reddish marinade. Though the chicken looked similar to shawarma, it was clearly different in flavor, and both it and the koobideh were delicious. I ordered extra meat and had expected it to be outrageously large based on the menu photo of the standard order, but what came was more similar to the photo itself. It was still plenty to share, but I paid additional and didn't seem like I got that much more. The regular portions here are large, like easily feed two people sized. We ordered one plate per person, but in reality could've split them all. Again, I love this spot and chalk this up to learning. I think some folks could get frustrated with this experience, and I def did to an extent, but I enjoy this too much to gripe.

We were not disappointed! Here are a few things to know: - In addition to selling Mediterranean groceries, you can order at the register and there are several small tables so you can sit and eat. - I ordered the Gyro Sandwich, and my wife ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich. Both were really good, and quite large...I, of course, polished my entire sandwich off and my wife took half home for later. - We've bought Greek cheeses, olives, bulghur, and spices at Aladdin's, both this time and in the past. It's the only place to find some of the things I need, and the prices are better on some things than even Amazon. - Service was really great. The person working let me wait to pay until after I had finished my grocery shopping, and she brought our food out to our table pretty quickly. Bottom line: Aladdin's is a go-to place for us...next time, we'll probably go again at a time which would let us enjoy lunch at the same time.

I found myself out and about with just my son and and we both thought a char grilled kebab sounded like a fun dinner experiment. We popped in and found who were guessing is the owner's child at the register and placed our order for their signature kebab made from ground chicken and Afghani spices. The plate came with sumac spiked basmati rice, two pieces of the chicken kebab and a small green salad plus a green hot sauce. The kebab was tender and juicy with a great flavor profile and a nice bit of charcoal flavor. We thought the rice was actually exceptional light and fluffy with a hint of that citrus sea tang from the sumac, in a buttery finish, made this a nice light side to the kebab. The salad was fresh and crunchy with cucumber, lettuce, and bell peppers and that green hot sauce was really great and we used it as a dressing because the salad did not come with one. For $16 I just felt like the value was a bit often the plate needed at least one more piece of the kebab because when finished with a small tiny salad and the kebab, we were left with a mountain of rice and that is south wasteful. I just wish the plates here were a bit more valued oriented and I guess it will take more people eating here to kind of drive that up. Highly recommend giving it a try plus the market has some really fun fines too. Share your review and let me know what you think.

When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which was a great start. The restaurant was busy, but no busier than many other places we've visited. After being seated, however, we waited... and waited... and waited for someone to even acknowledge us. Nothing. During that time, we watched our server attend to several other tables, clear dishes, grab items, and process payments. We also noticed two employees standing near the register. One of them looked over at our table multiple times, so it was obvious they knew we were there. Still, no one came over to greet us or let us know someone would be with us shortly. As we looked around, we realized we were the only Asian family in the restaurant. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling overlooked, uncomfortable, and wondering if we were being treated differently. It was an awful feeling. Eventually, our server came to our table but never apologized for the long wait or acknowledged that we'd been sitting there unattended. By then, the experience had already left a bad impression. I was there with my husband and our three boys, and it was difficult trying to explain why we seemed to be the only table being ignored. Will we come back? NO I'm sure this restaurant has plenty of customers and won't miss one family, but every guest deserves to feel welcomed and valued. A simple greeting or apology would have gone a long way. As for the food, it was good. But good food alone doesn't make up for poor service or for making guests feel like they don't belong. Dining out is about the entire experience, and unfortunately, ours was overwhelmingly disappointing. I'm typically a very generous tipper because I appreciate good service. However, when a restaurant makes my family feel out of place and overlooked, it's hard to justify leaving anything. Respect and hospitality should be extended to every customer.

This was long before my…read moredays loving local businesses on Yelp, so I didn't share here, but I finally found my way back and I see why this is quietly one of our community's favorite spots of all time. First off, the location is just plain cool. It's off a side street, inside an office or apartment building (not sure!) and built in under a stairwell that's painted all black. You order through a small window cut into a black wall, and the experience just hits different. The menu is tiny but mighty. I ordered the falafel, which comes with a housemade sauce of your choice, a scoop of the housemade hummus and a selection of delicious pickles (Watch out for the cukes. They spicy!). The falafel are sizeable, fried super crispy, but a bit more dense than those I've had before. These are substantial and a beefy meal, or ample shareable for a few. They're also a super value at $8. I also had the Crimson tea. The Sichuan peppercorn and sweetness were a great surprise. I'm def coming back soon.

Quick service, helpful employees and good food. We had A kids lamb wrap, falafel wrap and chicken Schwarma. Everything was very good and we look forward to coming back! One note is that the toum is very strong and can be hot so if that's not your thing just be careful. We did enjoy it very much though!

Had the "beef" shawarma and it was as tasty as beef shawarma. Same taste and chew with a pita and cucumber, peppers, lettuce, tahini, tomato and pickle. A regular told us we had to try the fries. Sometimes ya trust and win. We tried the regular and falafel fries. Truly awesome thick fresh cut potatoes fried crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. A meal by themselves. Reminds me of buying an extra order at LC's for the ride home so I got my share. On West Street in the West Street market. Inside or patio seating. Service animals only. Mini fire pits on outdoor tables, nice touch.

I think they have very reasonable prices for the food considering how expensive everything is right now. The food is actually SOO FREAKING GOOD, the fact that it's all vegan and don't have to worry about anything having dairy is amazing. I am obsessed with the seaweed fries, and the tacos were so tasty with an incredible sauce. The sandwich was sooo spicy but really hit the spot. I highly recommend it and the service was great and was the one that recommended us everything l!
