First time here in a very long time, and I did enjoy myself! Ambiance was a great vibe, and bar staff was friendly. We did have to sit at the bar because all reservations were full, but otherwise it was a great time. I do think the food is a bit on the pricey side for the portions, but it is a cool place for a date night or a little splurge. The burger was a bit dry for me, and the donut dessert wasn't too special in my opinion. The best thing I ate were the fries/potatoes that came with my burger though!

Claio spritz. Wife liked it and I agree it was fresh and unique.

Food: Healthy, fresh, unique, elevated. Definitely not a place to eat if you're really hungry, since the portions are a bit small. Hamachi crudo- disappointing. Don't waste your time. I love hamachi crudo but this one photographs well but tastes bland. Lamb burger with crispy schmaltz potatoes and garlic sauce. 8/10. Meat was a little dry. I'd get this again though. Seared scallops with Pea Orzotto, English Peas. Guanciale, Lemon- also 8/10. Would get it again. Good but not a contender for "best I've ever had". Service- this is where they really fall short. We visited on 3/21/26 for dinner. Had a reservation. Place was not very busy, appeared well staffed. The service was so slow that a couple at the bar left without eating or drinking. The staff was polite but they seemed to have a very indolent energy. Felt a bit off-putting and maybe even a bit entitled. We had to ask for menus after being seated for over 5 minutes with no service. We had to ask water for our toddler son, which was never offered. When he received his food, we had to request utensils for him. The waitress checked on us maybe twice the entire meal. The entire restaurant seemed to be pretty lazy, aside from the bartender and the cooks. Ambiance - chic.

Solid little spot in Caughlin Ranch. Open floor plan, spacious with enough space to not feel crowded. Food was really unique and fun while also good solid taste. Ricotta and bread was fantastic. Pork chop was moist and delicious. The potatoes with the steak were fantastic. One bathroom only but it was elegant and homie. Pretty nice spot for date night.

First brunch at Claio since they stopped serving brunch on weekends. They now only offer it for special occasions, like Easter today. I was excited to have brunch here again! Highlights - The environment is calm and relaxing, well lit, and intimate, and the nice weather made outdoor seating a great option again. - Reservations got us seated right away. - New faces on staff, but service was smooth. - Food well prepared with some new menu options. - Great local, no fuss, but elegant, option! Lowlights - Ordered hot tea, and when it arrived, it was brewed but the teabag was still in the cup, with milk foam on top. Not my favorite preparation since removing the bag removes the foam. Or just let me handle the brewing and give me some fresh milk to add later. (They did provide a side of simple syrup for sweetening, which was perfect). - For a featured entree, I'd expect something a little more surprising or spectacular with the eggs benedict. It did have rotisserie ham, but honestly tasted pretty much like every well prepared benedict I've had. - The $35 "Full English" made me laugh. In the UK, this is the British free breakfast you get at any bed and breakfast. Obviously, the quantity and quality at Claio is high, especially of the sausage, but you're still just adding tomatoes and beans to a 2-egg breakfast. - The hot cross buns were a bit dry, no icing. I wished I'd bought the ones I saw at another bakery instead. This was a perfectly fine normal brunch, but I was expecting a little more pizazz for a holiday meal.

Came back to Claio for a long-awaited dinner....and man was I CLUCKING disappointed especially considering my amazing brunch experiences both at Claio and Perenn. The only dish that I'd order again would be the Katalfi Prawns, which reminded me of the dim sum preparation of fried prawns wrapped in a light, flaky dough. The hamachi crudo was not fresh, and the sauce on top made the already fishy hamachi taste even more sour. The little neck clams were overwhelmingly salty and almost inedible, and their signature rotisserie chicken was dry and tough (although I'll give them points for the perfectly crispy chicken skin). The cocktails were pretty good, with my favorites being Earl's Got the T and Pom De Fleur, which I hope they keep on the menu! It was pretty easy to get a reservation the morning before dinner, although I would definitely recommend getting one since both this restaurant and the plaza it's in gets super busy. Overall, not sure if the chefs change between breakfast and dinner, but I hope they re-evaluate some of their menu since I really love this spot for brunch and would love to also make it a favorite dinner spot in Reno.

What a great dinner date experience. I would definitely call ahead for a reservation but, luckily we were able to be seated by the bar area. We started with their home made ricotta cheese and bread. We were so impressed with the taste and details. For entree, we got octopus and beans and scallops. I would say the quantity was great but, the quality was amazing. Overall a great experience!

Claio has been one of my favorite spots in Reno--I'm forever disappointed that they don't do breakfast/brunch during the week but only on weekends. It's normally a five-star place for me; while I still enjoyed the experience this time, there were some things that were a little off in terms of their usual standards. It was way too cold inside, and the coffee drink I ordered (cortado) was way too hot and not made right (kind of overly blended, with no distinct foam separation on top). The interior was so cold that at the end of the meal, I ordered another coffee (also way too hot, but delicious once it cooled down) just to have something warm in my hands. The interior decor of Claio is consistently pretty exceptional, with cute and colorful tables, centerpieces, and light fixtures, and a nice vibey record player running an eclectic lo-fi mix. Seating inside and out is ample and comfortable, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food is awesome--creative Mediterranean-inspired dishes and sumptuous bakery options (from Perenn Bakery, their sister company). One of our favorite pastries is the mochi muffin (unfortunately not in stock today). The green shakshuka--which is a very creative and tasty dish--today was a bit heavy-handed with the spice, and the Israeli bagel that came with it (which is normally awesome), was a bit stiff/stale-ish. It was still good, but just didn't match my expectations compared to previous visits. All that said, I really appreciate the unique recipes and healthful, high-quality ingredients they have at Claio and look forward to coming back for brunch again . . . if only that could be during the week and not just on weekends :D.

My husband's friend ordered us dinner from Claio's "to go" the Family Chicken dinner which my husband picked up from the restaurant. My husband ordered beer while they boxed up the food. My husband decided to pay the tip even though his friend included the tip. I think the staff could have notified my husband. This was the first time trying the food. The chicken was whole and seasoning was lovely. I absolutely loved the Crispy Schmaltz Potatoes. I wasn't sure about the sauce that came with it on the side. The salad was abundant and truly not my favorite "too many weeds" for me. The baguette was awesome, and the butter paired perfectly. Also the dinner included chocolate cake and four cute little brownie lava bites. The desert was to die for. Normally I don't start with desert, but since I had knee surgery I thought why not.. Good choice! Look for ward to dining in after my recovery!

TL/DR: great food and customer service, slightly higher prices, great decor and ambiance Ambiance: Colors and themes match well. Creates a great mood for dates, catching up with friends, or small celebrations. The dining area is small, so you may want to reach out to the restaurant in advance. Clean, welcoming, and warm. elite tip: make reservations to ensure easy seating. Food: Rotisserie chicken: Well flavored and moist, the 1/2 chicken wasn't on the menu. The garnish is delightful! Lamb burger: Cook of meat was based on waitress suggestion and man it didn't disappoint, well seasoned and those potatoes are delicious. Green salad: Good ratio of greens to dressing. Fresh and crisp greens. Service: Friendly staff. Answered our questions, waters refilled, and had a great experience overall. You pay for quality so I understand the higher price point, will definitely be back!

A charming and cute place to enjoy Sunday brunch. Delicate pastries combined with savory food. The cheery service fits the environment. Don't miss the unique drinks and consider asking for a cookie to take home for later.

Let's just start with saying that it took me way too long to give this place a try! I love Perenn and had high expectations for this place - and YES they did deliver From the good vibes once you walk in, to delicious cocktails and dinner items! Due to it being our first time we were unsure what to expect, so we did make a dinner reservation. They weren't completely packed so I'm sure we could have done a walk in. Service was good, you do have your own server, but all staff seemed they were willing to help if we asked for anything. We ordered some apps - bread + ricotta (yum) and fried halloumi (flavor was good, the cheese definitely has a rubber texture so if you like that, you'll like this!) Clams were really flavorful and have a little kick to em. The steak was delicious and the pistachio ice cream with baklava topping - OMG. Can't wait to go back and try breakfast!

Been meaning to try this place for a while now and glad I finally got to! Everything tasted great! My favorite has got to be the hummus. My one "complaint" is that steak was medium rare but was more on the rare side. Will definitely be coming back! Love the aesthetic inside too!

All, I can say is WOW. My daughter requested Claio's for her 20th birthday dinner and told me I would love it. She was, as always, right. We started with the Rancho Gordo Chickpea hummus. Just look at the picture and tell me you can't taste the deliciousness emphasized by pickled herbs and a grapefruit vinaigrette. I could have eaten it with a spoon, but the provided pita chips were crunchy and held up well to big dips. We tried three entrees all of which were delicious. The Crispy Octopus with English pea pistou was indeed crispy and delectable with the taste of peas, garlic and basil. The Lamb Burger with Crispy Schmaltz Potatoes was on a soft brioche bun and included pickled onions, cheddar, garlic sauce and mint. That mint addition made me dream of classic Mediterranean dishes. The potatoes were crispy perfection. The Seared Scallops were cooked to a melt-in-your-mouth level and the fennel, green apple and watercress flavors complimented them perfectly. We, of course, had to get desserts for the birthday girl and an espresso and cappuccino to go with it. Pistachio Baklava Soft Serve was a balance of creamy, sweet and crunchy. The Loukoumades were OMG sticky, honey, light perfection. And the Rosewater Cheesecake had that subtle rose flavor with a crunch of pistachios, kataifi and honey drizzle. If you are celebrating a special day or just needing some foodie self-care, this is a Don't Miss Place.

The place was pretty busy, as expected on Valentine's. Our server was quick to get our drink order and tell us about the menu. The place is small, but well designed, and the use of space is thoughtful. My wife ordered an Italian soda, boy, was it good! Super fresh ingredients. I'm not positive, but while watching our server make it at the bar, it looked like house-made syrup and whipped cream, too. We decided on the Meatball Roman Sandwich ($18) and the Salad/Sandwich ($20) combo for lunch. I ordered the MadeIn salad and the Pablo's feast sandwich, which was an extra $5 when added to the 2 for $20 deal. Food came fairly quickly, and the presentation of the meatball sandwich was amazing! The meatballs were great, and the house made foccacia is hard to beat. Fresh pesto is always a nice touch. The dish was not too heavy at all, as some meatball subs are. The MadeIn salad is similar to a Caesar, but with some added greens like arugula and endive, and sesame breadcrumbs, rather than croutons. I actually preferred it over a classic Caesar. The dressing was incredible. So fresh and so much anchovy flavor. The Pablo's Feast sandwich was incredible, too. Great ratio of filling to bread, and the tomato jam is so good, I would buy it by the jar. The bitterness of broccoli rabe was a great complement to the entire meal. It's clear that flavors here at MadeIn are developed over time with careful thought and planning. Everything is fresh and delicious. The open kitchen concept allows customers to feel like they are a part of the experience and creates a unique dining environment. I can't wait to come back here for dinner sometime soon.

Like fine wine, Aladdin's gets better with age. I have loved watching it evolve over the years,…read moreespecially the restaurant, which started as a small offering and has now really come into its own. We had to feed a crowd at home recently and Middle Eastern cuisine suited everyone's fancy, so naturally Aladdin's was the call. Using the online ordering system was simple, and the food was ready right on time. My only feedback is that the items don't all clearly describe what you get or how the dish comes, and so I added sauces thinking they came on the side but really came on top, and paid upcharges for things like pita, thinking they didn't come with it but then finding out they did and I just added a lot of extra. I ordered a few shawarma plates, an Aladdin combo, and hummus, falafel, and babaganoush appetizers. Everything was delicious, but some items were a bit surprising. The hummus is was a bit on the loose side, and we actually thought it was tahini from the look, aroma, and flavor. My guess is the batch was made with a bit more tahini than normal. Still good, but surprising. The Aladdin's Combo didn't look as pictured on the website, where it looks like a very sizable portion of meat, with chicken in a reddish marinade. Though the chicken looked similar to shawarma, it was clearly different in flavor, and both it and the koobideh were delicious. I ordered extra meat and had expected it to be outrageously large based on the menu photo of the standard order, but what came was more similar to the photo itself. It was still plenty to share, but I paid additional and didn't seem like I got that much more. The regular portions here are large, like easily feed two people sized. We ordered one plate per person, but in reality could've split them all. Again, I love this spot and chalk this up to learning. I think some folks could get frustrated with this experience, and I def did to an extent, but I enjoy this too much to gripe.

Both were really good, and quite large...I, of course, polished my entire sandwich off and my wife took half home for later. - We've bought Greek cheeses, olives, bulghur, and spices at Aladdin's, both this time and in the past. It's the only place to find some of the things I need, and the prices are better on some things than even Amazon. - Service was really great. The person working let me wait to pay until after I had finished my grocery shopping, and she brought our food out to our table pretty quickly. Bottom line: Aladdin's is a go-to place for us...next time, we'll probably go again at a time which would let us enjoy lunch at the same time.
