Denver Omelette
J H.

It's been a couple years since we first visited this cafe, it is located at the corner of Skyline and Cashill. There is ample parking and they only serve Breakfast and Lunch. We don't get to this part of town often but when we do, this is a must stop. The service has always been exceptional, we were quickly welcomed and seated. The server almost immediately got our drink order and as we knew what we wanted took our food order. The ambiance is an open floor plan with several 2 & 4 person tables, they also had a larger group today of 10-12, along with a group of 6. It was nearly full when we arrived during lunch and they delivered. We decided on breakfast, her the Denver omelette and I had the Mexican Omelette, both were extremely good, fresh produce and full of flavor. I just wish they were closer has this would become a regular for us. I highly recommend you try them out.

This place is a gem! The cafe was spotless and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, with good sized portions. I love that they had a wide variety of both American and Latino breakfast options! I got the Mexican Omelette, it was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. This is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to and recommending to friends!

Service: 5/5 - The staff at Skyline Cafe was exceptional, they were super attentive and friendly. Ambiance: 3.8/5 - The cafe has a typical feel with ample seating. Our table was at close proximity to the kitchen and bathroom and we kept getting a constant whiff of sewer. Not a very pleasant smell when you are eating Food: 3/5 - While the freshly squeezed orange juice was delightful, our main dishes left something to be desired. My chilaquiles lacked flavor in the sauce, though the eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband's chicken fried steak suffered from bland gravy and seasoning, making it a disappointing choice. Overall, Skyline Cafe offers great service and a comfortable atmosphere, but improvements in food quality could elevate the experience.

Came in for breakfast and received great service. They have a lot of options to choose from and lots of seating inside. Highly recommend the Jimmysapitos!! So fluffy and sweet! Anyways, our breakfast was good, nothing extraordinary. It was a good and simple breakfast.

Decided to try this restaurant for brunch on a whim since we wanted something different than our usual rotation. We absolutely loved it! The staff was so kind and portions were huge! We had no idea what to expect since we are never usually on this side of town. We hadn't gone into this location since it was Hiroba Sushi. The interior has been remodeled and is so homey. The decor is inviting and modern. The menu has several options to choose from. We chose to go with French toast, chilaquiles, and pancakes. The chilaquiles plate was delicious! The chilaquiles were crisp, yet smothered with a tangy and spicy sauce. The potatoes were salty and crisp. The French toast with fruit were also a hit with the group! Everyone wanted a bite! Definitely worth checking out! We will be back!

Brunch with friends :) Got the jalapeño burger. Burger was juicy!!! And fries were battered --- my favorite!!!! Our coffee cups and water glasses --- didn't experience any emptiness at all! Servers were paying attention. Food came quickly. Perfect brunch atmosphere! Place was open and spacious, didn't feel crowded at all. Plenty of windows so you could feel and see the Reno sunshine :) Parking was plentiful. Definitely 2 thumbs up!

chilaquiles (plate is massive!) spicy for my tastes but the sauce used was incredibly flavorful

Staff is very demure very mindful. The food is scrumptious and very generous portions of food. The ambiance is giving. Def recommend.

It was good, nothing spectacular. The service was fine and the staff friendly. It was just like any other breakfast places that we frequent.

The western bacon cheeseburger is one of the best in town, consistently delicious and always hits the spot. The wings are another standout: perfectly crisp, flavorful, and done right every time. The service is always top notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome every visit. We especially love sitting upstairs....it's where we used to hang out when we first met, so it brings back a lot of great memories. It's more than just a restaurant for us, it's part of our story. Consistently great food, excellent service, and a place that feels like home. We'll keep coming back.

There are two levels to the restaurant, and we dined on the second floor. The upstairs dining area has a sports bar feel with plenty of TVs to catch a game, and Wolf Pack memorabilia throughout, which fits the location perfectly. The service was efficient and friendly. Our server checked on us the right amount and our food came out quickly. We ordered the Giant Hamburger and the BLT. The burger was thick, juicy, and piled high with classic toppings, messy in the best way and full of flavor. The BLT was generously stacked with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and tomato on toasted bread, simple and satisfying. The only downsides were the fries and my drink. The fries were overcooked, dry, and a bit too tough. I ordered a vodka soda, and it tasted more like soda with a splash of vodka. Overall, it was a good experience and we would return.

The biscuits are definitely the best part of the dish, they were soft, moist and chewy. They were so delicious I offered some to our entire table so everyone could try them. Husband had the blueberry pancakes. The portions here are generous! Be sure to order first, and then grab a table. Food comes out quickly and service was great. Can't wait to eat here again on our next trip to Reno. Btw, parking is all on the street. But it wasn't too hard to find a spot.

The facility was clean and welcoming, and the person at the register was genuinely friendly and helpful. I also loved the vibe--there's some really cool swag and decor on the walls that adds character to the space. Bonus points for having a solid selection of hot sauces available. Food-wise, there were some real highlights. The cinnamon roll with bourbon glaze was super yummy--honestly, it didn't even need frosting. I also tried the blueberry lemon cornmeal pancakes, which were excellent. I grabbed a peanut butter & jelly pop tart for later; the flavor was good, but the crust was a bit too chewy for my taste. I was hoping for more crunch and a stronger peanut butter flavor. For the mains, I had The Reggie Deluxe. It was good, but the gravy was surprisingly skimpy, which was a bit of a letdown. A biscuit dish like that should be absolutely smothered in gravy. We also tried the brisket biscuit--it was good, but not particularly memorable. The biggest disappointment, though, was the biscuits themselves. They were just okay and lacked flavor--like they needed more salt or butter. I couldn't help but compare them to biscuits I remember from places like KFC years ago or even Knott's Berry Farm--those had a richness and flavor that these didn't quite match. All in all, it was still a great experience. Friendly staff, clean space, and good food overall--just a few tweaks away from being truly outstanding.

It was our 1st time eating there however it had been on our list for some time. We started with the PULL-APART GARLIC CHEESE BREAD which is Focaccia, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan, frico crust and also ordered the WOOD FIRED OCTOPUS with crispy gnocchi, tomatoes, red onion, basil, arugula and topped with a Calabrian chili aioli. Both were fantastic, seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature!! For our entree we hate the BEE STING pizza. Make with a 72 Hour Fermented Organic Dough topped with Salami, red onion, basil, serranos, mozzarella and honey. The crust was delicious, crunchy, thin and when combined with the sauce, seasoning and toppings, an excellent pizza. Additionally we ordered two of the in-house, housemaid pasta. The ARRABBIATA , a roasted red pepper campanelle, with Calabrese sausage, garlic, chilis, broccolini and topped with Parmesan, pecorino. The other pasta we tried was the BLACK SPAGHETTI, mixed with clams, scallops, shrimp, hot chopped peppers, white wine, butter and lemon. It was fantastic!! Cooked al dente and packed with flavor. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The service was great, food was yummy and we definitely look forward to going back again soon!

The cauliflower was one of my favorites, roasted perfectly with great flavor, Fondue was creamy, hot and delicious, meatballs were super moist and bursting with flavor. The olives were dry and tiny and hard to enjoy due to pit. The backpack was ok but not great. Now, the pizza! It was absolutely perfect. Thin crust, perfect amount of cheese and toppings. I enjoyed the bee sting pizza, hot and sweet, and I love the combination. When I go back it will definitely be pizza, salad and cauliflower. The sever was a sweet young man. He was attentive to our needs and patient with all our questions. The restaurant is a good size, the bar area was busy and filled with conversation and laughter, the booths looked cozy, we chose a table near windows for outside lighting. The outside tables looked great for getting some warmth and fresh air. Many options and different settings. Sorry, I forgot to take pics.
