It was my first time in to Arnie's after an eventful week for my family. It was a nice change of pace to have a quiet slow paced morning and brunch with my kids. Arnie's is locally owned and family run and we were so glad we finally made the time to stay and wait for a table. They were BUSY, but it was so worth the wait. This is spacious restaurant with variety, quality food, decent servings at a great price. Miguel was our server, he was charming and helpful navigating all the choices on the menu. I looked over their specials board and I was so happy to see they offered specialty coffees and non dairy options for milk. I was spoiled with an espresso machine for my birthday this year, so I've become an espresso snob and I didn't get my fix at home before leaving for brunch, so I started with their dulce de Leche iced latte, my daughter had an iced matcha latte, and my sister ordered a mocha. I had to have their steak and eggs. My kids ordered pancakes and eggs, my sister ordered their stuffed french toast. Everything was cooked perfectly and the smell of pancakes were amazing that I caved and had more than two bites; every bite was heavenly. I can't wait to come back with the rest of our family. So I decided to pick up breakfast for my son and take it to his work so I stopped at Arnie's this morning. It is always very clean in here. Also, the staff is always very friendly. The food is always fresh. I asked for a container for some Cholula to go and they said we will do that for you. They are always helpful. The food is always very tasty here at Arnies cafe. What days are a little slower? Weekends are always super busy. Which was nice to come here when it was a tad slower. The waiters and waitresses are always moving. They are very efficient here, especially on to go orders quick and back out the door to where I need to go. read more

Amazing breakfast place, Parking lot is big you will find parking anywhere. Weekends are usually packed and there is always a wait but it's totally worth it. The chilaquiles green with carne asada are a good choice. But my go to is the chorizo scramble. But any dish you choose of your liking will be a good option. The have lots of boots and tables so u can let the host know what you prefer. They will accommodate you. But it might add waiting time. The vanilla latte is also a pretty good choice for drink options or the iced chai vanilla latte. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures I was to excited to start eating their delicious food. I will update pictures to the review once I go again. The costumer service is probably one of the best I had we left a generous tip because they went above and beyond. Today we got the following: Special - Banana pecan pancakes. As a light eater, I was only able to eat half of my brunch and I saved the rest for dinner which I ate before we went to the Patagonia Event; see other Yelp Review. Everything was cooked perfectly; again, generous portions. Health Breakfast - My guest's choice. She is healthy, I am not, opposites attract, lol. She was only able to finish half her breakfast, so it was extra healthy, lol. She enjoyed her breakfast also. Ambiance - Good size space, plenty of table, counter, and private room seating. Plenty of mall parking. Open 7 days a week. Had two posted signs on the windows; see picture. Yelp hours differ slightly. To be safe, it is best to visit between 7am to 2pm, or call to confirm. Service - Excellent. 2.5 hour lunch; the company was great. Never felt rushed. We closed the place, I felt bad... So of course, we left a generous tip. Price - $40 + very generous tip. Thank you. This was my first time here and WOW I'm glad I stopped by. This place was BUSY. I think the wait was twice as long upon our leaving, but the staff handled it really well. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my SIL ordered the Chorizo & Eggs. Both were really good. What elevated my Bene? The fact that the English muffin was buttered and toasted to a nice crispy crunch. That little added texture really made it for me. My SIL asked for flour tortillas and they were homemade! The vanilla latte was really good and just the right size. I also posted updated photos of the menu so others can see pricing. Although they were incredibly busy, the servers remained attentive and kind. They've definitely seen this kind of crowd before, and dealt with it with ease (or at least pretended to ) We had a slight wait for our check and to-go containers but nothing I wouldn't expect on a busy Sunday. Objectivity warning: Self-admitting (American) breakfast food hater here. I'm not a fan of breakfast diners, but I'm willing to give all of them a fair shot, who knows, maybe this one will be vastly different/better than the others? Spoiler, this one is not. That's not to say it's bad, but it just doesn't stand out enough for me to wait to be seated to eat here often, or give it a good recommendation. The wait was pretty short, only about 10 minutes which we were informed of. It was probably their busiest time of the week, Sunday around around noon. The server was very nice and a helpful, never letting us go too long without checking up, and communicated well about things she still needed to bring us. The food was nothing special. It's what I'd expect, but nothing interesting. I got a sandwich, and my companion got the chicken-fried steak. The sandwich was pretty boring, and the gravy on the chicken-fried steak still tasted like uncooked flour, and not much else. I'd go back if someone else wanted to go and maybe get a Mexican breakfast item (I wasn't in the mood as I just had Mexican twice the day before). read more

I can with a party of 8 and was surprised at how quickly we were greeted and seated. The staff here is super friendly. The food arrived fairly quickly after we ordered. I highly recommend the hot chocolate with yummy whipped cream and peppermint sprinkles. We ordered a few of the specials, Crunchy French Toast and Steak Chilaquiles. All the orders came with a generous selection of sides and the prices were extremely reasonable. The Chilaquiles were made perfectly with the eggs over easy and chile verde salsa which had some heat but tolerable. I ordered well done hash browns and they did not disappoint. What a great breakfast place!! I had the traditional breakfast with eggs bacon and potatoes however I asked for crisp bacon and crisp potatoes and both of my items were cooked perfectly!! Crispy just like I like. My wife had a wonderful carne asada skillet with salsa and avocado man the salsa is fantastic!! The girls are very attentive and take great care of us and the atmosphere is amazing for breakfast time ! Definitely love this place and we will come back!! We have came here yesterday with our family (9 in total) and they all voted to come back here. The food and the service are exceptional! Plenty of parking and the staff are always great. The restaurant is fairly large and very clean. Yesterday Carla was our waitress. She provided excellent and very attentive service. This morning, Miguel was our waiter and was great! We've also had Natalie several times. All are excellent! Since we are visitors from California we have tried many different restaurants here in the Reno area. Nov 2nd 1st time trying this place. This place is popular for sure. Was greeted immediately, Table for 4 about 10/15 min wait not bad. Was pretty busy . Once seated Miguel was our server and was excellent. We ordered and food came pretty quick. Everyone enjoyed their food came out nice and hot. I had the traditional breakfast with huge bacon strips and hashbrowns and sunny side up and everything was cooked to perfection. Hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. Everything tasted really good. Our friend only had one problem with hers. The steak was overdone, but they quickly took care of it and got her another one cooked, medium rare. Everything was great . Arnie's is a very busy, but nice restaurant for breakfast. Our server was so attentive; we never were without a full glass of water or cup of coffee. She was also so nice and had a smile on her face the whole time. I ordered off the sides menu as I don't like eggs. Everything was delicious and the servings are large. I heard a lot about this place and finally went to try it. Waiting time was reasonable. I ordered green chilaquiles with steak and eggs and a horchata chai. From the reviews that this place has, I expected something delicious but the chilaquiles were very very salty I told the waitress and well when a food is not reasonably good and mostly they always offer an alternative and well she said absolutely nothing and I had to order extra cream to remove a little salty although it didn't help much. Besides the salty chilaquiles which were the main dish everything else was OKAY. The ambiance was good I loved the spices portraits that they have in the walls and also the funny ones. Entered around 10 am. It's a typical diner with booths, tables and a counter. As I entered the host greeted me. I told her I was going to the counter. As I sat down I was immediately asked what beverage I preferred. I ordered a coffee which was really good. I ordered the senior breakfast(55+) it consisted of a two egg omelette with veggies, my choice of meat (bacon) and country potatoes It also came with toast or pancakes so I ordered the pancakes. The waiter was professional and polite. The order arrived quickly. The omelette was a good size with an abundance of veggies and bacon. The omelette was fluffy and flavorful. We visited Arnie's cafe for the first time last Friday based on the great reviews from yelp. We went around 9 AM this Sunday and it wasn't too crowded - but soon after the popularity showed and there was a wait. What stands out to me from this visit was the excellent service, comfortable clean booths, the wide variety of the menu and good sized portions. I had the breakfast sandwich with ham and one of the fluffiest eggs I've had in a breakfast sandwich with nice crispy hashbrowns. My husband had the chicken fried steak, which is one of his favorites. Perhaps it was what we ordered , and although the food was good, it wasn't great -just somewhat more basic, and it was a bit too oily or heavy on the butter. I took home a portion of the sandwich and after it sitting in the container in the fridge and reheating it wasn't edible the next day. Well give them a try again and try more of the options because they are a great centrally located new breakfast spot to us. read more

Arnie's is close to the airport and I had breakfast there earlier this week before my flight home. There is plenty of parking open in front and it is a table service breakfast and lunch restaurant. I visited it because of its high Yelp reviews and the fact it is family owned. I ordered a two egg and two bacon breakfast with hash browns for $13. I also saw their OJ came in 2 sizes both small and large and pointed to the menu when I ordered the large for $5. The drink came out first with the meal following less than 5 minutes later. The plate looked good with a lot of food on it and I enjoyed every bite. The OJ was very good too. When the bill arrived, I noticed that the OJ price was $7.25. I asked the waitress why it wasn't $5 like on the menu? She said because it was fresh squeezed. I said "but I asked for and pointed at the $5 large on the menu". All she said again was that it was fresh squeezed. I didn't want to get into an argument about it and let it go. Nowhere on the menu did I see fresh squeezed OJ offered or with a price on it. Excellent place for breakfast!! I'd say one of our new favorites in the Reno area. Stopped in for a Sunday breakfast and enjoyed the iced Carmel latte, eggs Benedict, and breakfast sandwich (sub egg whites) and everything tasted amazing! Large portions, fair prices, along with quick, friendly service. Food came out quick and piping hot! Place has tons or parking, lots of indoor seating too. The restaurant is a typical cafe style with booths and regular tables, areas were clean. Large menu selection including family friendly options. Drove to Reno for an event and found Arnie's based on the reviews. The cafe was hustling and busying but we were seated right away. My husband ordered the meat lover's omelet and had nothing but great things to say about it. I had the veggie scramble and it was delicious. While my daughter had the carne asada skillet and my daughter's bf had the crepe. All I can say is YUM to all of the dishes we ordered. It was quick and fresh! My partner and I were immediately sat and luckily it wasn't very busy because we got our food incredibly fast. We ordered the chilaquiles and the banana and nutella crepe combo. Absolutely wonderful and sincere service from our Gal although I didn't get her name. We stopped in for breakfast after renting a car from enterprise on an extremely beautiful snow day. We started with a couple coffees and she brought them to us immediately with a bowl of creamers to choose from. I ordered a side of pancakes and a side of scrambled eggs to share with my daughter. When she brought the pancakes she also brought bacon and no eggs. I mentioned that I ordered eggs and not the bacon and she apologized, let us keep the bacon and she brought me a plate of beautiful scrambled eggs. We went back on 6/26/25 and as always, Arnie's did not miss. My brother ordered the Biggest Littlest Breakfast and said it was amazing--huge portions and cooked just right. We had two well-done carne asada plates with crispy hash browns, and everything was flavorful, hot, and just how we asked. Each of us had a glass of fresh orange juice and it was honestly some of the best OJ we've had cold, fresh-squeezed, and so refreshing. The service was warm, quick, and super attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the team really works well together and takes pride in what they do. This is a family run business and they all work there! food was good. Green salsa nice and spicy on chilequiles. One thing that turned me off is the daughter of Arnie who replied to a question I had before we were seated. Wait during week 25 minutes. I asked if I ordered the chilequiles without meat (as it came with steak or a flattened chicken breast) if they take off a charge? or add anything extra to compensate? She said no. it's business in a kind of sassy tone:( Um, I understand that, I said.. but I'm sure with cost of meat right now, I'd be saving you money. kind of rude... personally, I would have added some extra guacamole or cheese.. even if it's not a lot.. because I know that's expensive as well. But, certainly not the cost of meat....just to make a customer feel the love! But, not my business. she probs knew we were "out of towners" as we literally were the ONLY white folks in there besides one other table and the boyfriend server. Btw.. he saved the review.. he was so kind, attentive and willing to do anything to make us feel welcome and happy. He actually offered extra guacomole on the chilequiles!! I would personally not go back. Also, need to note there was confusion to the bar seating. we were told it was open seating. We were passing through Reno on a road trip looking for a suitable brunch. After a quick Internet search, Arnie's stellar ratings caught our eye, the highest rated breakfast spot in Reno. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! The food here is excellent! The large hash browns are a menu highlight, crispy and flavorful. There are a lot of disappointing hash browns out there, but this certainly isn't one of them! The Meat Lovers Omelette is also highly recommended with high quality sausage, ham, and bacon and a dash of Monterey Jack cheese. The service was wonderful and multiple servers would stop by to refill your water glass and check on you, not just our primary server.
