The Cup Cafe is a family owned cafe. It has an old school, country vibe. We had a party of six and the service as fast and friendly. I went with the Tuscan Scramble - housemade sausage, sun-dried tomato, spinach, garlic and parmesan cheese.
This family owned cafe is very quaint love the decor and great ambiance. Service was fantastic, greeted with a smile and a warmth of welcomeness. Greeted at our table in a timely manner and offered coffee and was checked often to see if we needed a warm up. When we ordered we received our meal hot and quick and yummy. The eggs and bacon and fried potatoes with peppers so yummy. I also got the biscuits and gravy it was good but I wish it had just a bit more sausage in it . Otherwise it was good. Big portions so be prepared to take some home . Next time I want to try the lunch specials .
We arrived a little late but we were still able to sit at the bar in the back, we enjoy sitting there and have several times. Service is always superb and immediate! We both had mimosas as it was Mother's Day. I had the Tucson scramble she enjoyed eggs Benedict. Both meals were plenty of food and fantastic!!
This diner is rather nostalgic as a Reno landmark has been operated under different names over the years. The ambiance inside was very clean and had the country kitchen vibe. The hostess, waiter and table attendant were exceptionally courteous and friendly. They kept our coffee flowing. They did not have heavy cream only milk or half and half. The eggs were cooked to order and the hash browns were perfect browned and crispy. The bacon was thick and yet still crispy, ham and sausage were also tasty. The biscuits and gravy were a little disappointing as the gravy was bland, thick and hardly any sausage pieces. The biscuits were average and not very browned. Overall this is a great stop for breakfast. It's very convenient and the people and food are great.
Just love this place. I have never ordered anything i did not love. From breakfast to lunch selections its a must try. Always busy but definitely worth the wait time. The servers are always smiling and friendly. I enjoy the hustle and bustle of this place. Conversations a plenty. Lots of noise but it adds to the overall environment of a busy restaurant. It's a fun family place.
Had brunch with one of my friends . We had about a 15 minute wait for a table . While we waited there was a steady flow of people coming and going. We were seated at a table right by the kitchen door.. It was ok until it wasn't. Not the worst experience. I had the Garden Benedict! It was better than I had expected! Their sauce is creamy and packed with flavor and the rest of the meal followed suit. Would like to try it for lunch and possibly have a more enjoyable seating experience
Our Reno favorite!! This is the spot, we love it here(and their second location down the way. The service here is second to none, the staff is always friendly and even when there is a wait it isn't very long before you are eating! Bin coming here for years now and their food is all excellent. Our top favorites are the "chile relleno" all the breakfast options are great but they also have a delicious burger and wraps for lunch. They make sure you can have it your way and we just love that. I bring my mom here and she's always so excited. Side note the coffee is so good too and refills always come quick. The place is clean warm and cozy and the decor makes you feel right at home. Treat yourself and eat at this place. Literally our favorite.

The pancakes are fabulous and my go to is classic Eggs Benedict or huevos rancheros! You can't go wrong with this family owned spot and all of their homemade dishes!
I came here with my family to have brunch. It's a cute, small, and cozy cafe. I ordered a burger while the rest of my family ordered breakfast. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and it was delicious! The fries were also crispy so that earned extra points in my book. Service was also really wonderful. Servers were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth to check out!
The cup is a cute little cafe, there is a mural greeting you, asking with the waiting area. The hostess got my name and number of party, wait time is approximately 30 minutes, not bad of the wait. I order the scrambler with toast and coffee. The scrambler has sausage with bell peppers and onion with home fries scrambled with eggs. I actually enjoyed the meal. It's good, rustic, homey feel. The servers are attentive. Even with a little mishaps. There was a spilled syrup on the seat, I accidentally sat on it. They are very apologetic. Especially my servers.
We visited The Cup Cafe for our first time recently after driving by many times and were so glad we did! The inside was cute and felt like the inside of a house. It was family friendly and they had coloring pages and crayons for the kids. The staff was friendly and service was quick and the food was delicious! We tried the chicken fried steak and pumpkin pancakes and both hit the spot. The food was all reasonably priced as well. I look forward to going back and trying some of the other breakfast or lunch options!
My first time into the cup I've been really wanting to go here and I was not disappointed. I loved it. The decor, the ambiance the waitresses were so friendly and the food is just delicious. We watched the cooks right there grill it all, make it all right in front of our eyes and the teapots were so darn. Cute was probably my favorite. All in all the food was delicious. I ordered chile relleno and it was delicious pancake that we always order for. The table was one of the most delicious pancakes I've ever tasted after I ate that I kind of wasn't hungry but I pressed on. My sister ordered steak and eggs. Steak was cooked perfectly the way she loves it. So guess what I'll be back

I had the Tuscan scramble (order it and thank me later) and she had the bacon avocado Benedict (on my next order list). Both were very tasty and we chose the house potatoes for a side. I wish the potatoes had been crispier, but seasoned well and a great mo with peppers and onions.

Another great visit! Attentive and friendly staff. We were seated right away. The only thing that makes it not as relaxing to enjoy a meal with others is how loud it can get. The dining area seems to amplify all of the conversations. We tried out a couple of different items including the breakfast sandwich (flaky croissant with eggs, cheese, and bacon) and their special for the day, strawberries and cream short stack. Great flavors and really enjoyed how fluffy their pancakes were. read more
I am ashamed to admit that I have lived in Reno almost 7 years and today was the first time I have been to Cup Cafe. I really enjoyed this cute little spot and definitely would be back. We went early enough, like 9:30 am, that there wasn't any wait and were seated immediately, by the time we left though it was starting to fill up. Our servers were quick to greet us and take our orders. I went with the special which was a Spanish omelette with hashbrown and a biscuit and gravy. My wife got the bacon and eggs breakfast. The food portions were big and the food looked, smelled and tasted like a hearty home made breakfast. If you are looking for a diner style homemade breakfast definitely stop in! read more
Grandpa brought me here this morning for some breakfast to get out of the house for a while! We were greeted inside and taken to our table nice and quickly, even with how busy it is! And our waitress was kind and took our order well! The interior was cozy with white walls, lots of paintings and hanging decorations. Mostly a flower theme! It was simple, but very comfortable! I ordered the Ham Steak and Eggs with Hash Browns and white toast. It was about a 25 or so minute wait, which for how busy the place was, isn't too bad. The eggs were good. A little salt and pepper added to them and they were just fine. The hash browns were a mixed bag. They tasted fine, but they were surprising kinda hard and tough. Very crunchy and stuck together a fair bit. Not too good. The ham was delicious! Well cooked, great taste and nice and juicy! Overall, definitely a good meal! If it wasn't for the Hashbrowns being a bit of a let down, then it would have been perfect! Despite that small blunder, I would definitely still recommend this place! Definitely more good than bad! read more

I had waffles combo with banana pecan and it was very good. Service was fast as usual and i enjoyed my meal with coffee, of course. People are friendly and on the spot. My husband's french toast might have stayed longer in the pan than he liked and could have been better. Bright and clean just how we wanted. Overall, a great visit today. read more

Hubby had an eye appt at 8 am in this area. I have seen this place for a long time, and have never tried it. It's Wednesday morning and we were shocked at how packed the parking lot was and waiting for a table, must be good then! Very pretty and sweet hostess, and when I told her this was our first time, she was surprised and said , you must order the pumpkin pancakes. We were seated quickly, and server was super nice. Hot coffee was poured and the wait was on!! Steady customers coming in. I ordered biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon, hubby ordered corned beef hash and eggs! My gravy tasted like the mix it came in , wish it was homemade and not out of a Pkg., tasted like it, eggs were under done and bacon was soft. It was good, but not out of this world, big portions. Hubby liked his breakfast, said the hash could have been better. All in all a great food cafe, cannot wait to bring my family and try other menu items! Great atmosphere, very cute and cozy decor! What we thought was great, was, that same hostess stopped by our table and asked how it was for the first time , wow, as busy as she was , she made The time to stop by and see how it went, LOVED THAT! This is the better of the two locations due to the consistency and the quality of the food. My favorite is the pumpkin pancakes when they're available during the fall season. The Bacon Avocado Benedict is a close second. The decor here is very southern/country/farmhouse. The service is always great. Highly recommend! read more

AMAAAAAZING!!! One of my new favorite spots! The restaurant itself is to tiny and cozy, the perfect brunch cafe vibe. I ordered the jalapeño burger and my boyfriend ordered the irish Benedict. A good burger will make you put in a little effort to eat it, and it definitely did. A little messy, but when you're ordering a burger with a bunch of toppings and sauces, it's what you sign up for! The burger was incredible, it was the perfect level of spice, the flavors were incredible, and it was perfectly cooked. The benedict was also so yummy. The eggs were perfectly runny, the hash was a great addition to the classic benedict, and the hasbrown were also so yummy. Our server was so nice and attentive, and they were ready with fresh coffee whenever your cup got a little low. I also got their fresh squeezed orange juice and it was perfect. Overall, no complaints, we loved it and will be back! read more

I have passed The Cup Cafe more times than I can count and always wanted to try it. I went the day after Christmas as I was solo and starving. I had a delicious waffle and scrambled cheesy eggs with salsa...heaven! Price is right, too. I will happily return to The Cup Cafe. read more

We tried coming here on a Sunday last month and it was packed with a 30-45 min wait. We tried again today on a Monday and were surprised to still see the parking lot full. However, there was no wait this time and we were seated right away! It immediately has a very homey vibe when you walk in, as if you are over at someone's house for brunch. The place is currently decorated for Christmas and all the servers had on holiday themed aprons. The menu has a little bit of everything and there's something for everyone. I got the breakfast croissant sandwich and was very impressed! The croissant was flaky, bacon was thick, and eggs were fluffy. It was paired with crispy hashbrowns and was everything I hoped it would be! My husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito served wet with green salsa. He thought it was great! The green salsa had a nice level of spice. The burrito was full of ingredients in all the right ratios. While the food was delicious, the service was even better! I don't know if we've eaten at a restaurant with better service than this in a long time. People came to check on us frequently and our waters were refilled very often. I was impressed that they could maintain this level of service even with how busy they were. This was an excellent brunch experience and we will definitely be returning again in the future! read more
This is my second time coming to Cup Cafe and it has been a good experience both times. They are busy even on weekdays, so expect a wait of 15 minutes minimum. Parking has not been a problem even though the parking lot is not very big. From the outside, the building looks very small, but it is a lot larger when you are inside. Once walking in, there's a person to put you on the waitlist and a small area of benches while you wait for a table. The decorations inside are very cute and has a lot of religious signs throughout. They also have the Cup Cafe branded t-shirts! If you are seated to the right (based on when you first walk in), the open kitchen is on that side along with bar seating and booths. The left side has tables and booths without view of the kitchen. The server that I had this time was excellent! She was patient while dealing with many tables and some difficult customers all while checking in on us. She brought the food to the table next to us, but then realized it was the wrong table and got it to us. We ordered the following: - Egg's Benedict: I love the sauce they use on their Benedict's here! It's very creamy and one of the best out of the breakfast places in town! This is a must try! - Biscuits and Gravy: it was their signature dish, but it tasted average. There was nothing special about it here that would make you want to order it again. I stopped in for a brunch with a friend and we loved this place! We both got the Tuscan scramble which came with potatoes and a biscuit with gravy! It was so much food and it was delicious; the biscuit was fluffy and I liked the veggies in the egg scramble. Our server was wonderful. My friend started to ask me to pass the hot sauce and our server suddenly materialized to offer her two other hot sauce options. The decor creates a homey/cozy atmosphere. read more
