Brah the plates are massive, don't let the photos fool you I'm a 230lb man who lifts weights daily and I only finished half my meal! Pegs gives me that old school diner vibe. Staff super friendly, energy high and fast moving! I loved seeing the Hawaiian menu options and was headed in one route but when the decision came I made a last minute switch for the altogether sandwich with fried egg, bacon, avocado, roasted green chili, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. It was all set between two toasted slices of sourdough which was absolutely perfect. The fries were battered and fried perfectly to have a nice crisp, add a sprinkle of salt and ground pepper and bam they were fire! A great spot for breakfast indeed!

If I could give more stars I would....this place has incredible food and the portion size is ginormous!!! I went outside my norm and ordered the tamale and eggs (see photo). That serving size is insane. The tamale with ranchero sauce ya I have no words. The cabbage, the beans, the hashbrowns.... Not one complaint at all. My husband had the pork chops and eggs he said it was seasoned just right. He agreed that the hasbrowns were good too. Great service, so nice and hospitable. Don't miss out on this place!!! We might even come back tomorrow and try other items on the menu! Very homey atmosphere!

The place was very busy on a Sunday around 10:30am but we were seated at the bar top right away. It's a great simple diner with an open kitchen so you get to watch how everything is done which was very interesting. The food was simple and delicious which was exactly what I wanted. Would definitely come back!

I asked my friend for recommendation on where to go to for brunch I was recommended peg's glorified ham n eggs on getting there. There are a lot of people so I was like "yes it's gonna be good" but The food was so underwhelming. I got the French toast and it just tasted like bland bread and egg. I dirnt enjoy my meal at all.

Great service, Great food. Crystal & Jody greeted us with a smile and went over a few options because we were indecisive. There were 8 of us and they accommodated us without hesitation. The place was packed and I could see why. They were prompt and friendly. Highly recommended Thank you Crystal and Jody for making our dining experience amazing. We will definitely come back.

Omg! So delicious! I am a member of the clean plate brigade on this one. I found this on TikTok and then checked it out online. The reviews were great and a few people indicated they had grits, they do not. But no worries because what was there was delicious. We arrived just in time because it got crazy busy around 10:30am. The waitress was amazing. They were short staffed and she managed so many tables. We never felt ignored or left out. By the way, I was with my mom and aunt. The art on the walls is really interesting and honestly there were a few pieces that I wanted for my own home. We got to sit in a big booth in the front, I was so happy about that. So the food- I ordered the classic Benedict, my mom ordered the steak and eggs, and my aunt ordered a turkey burger and fries. Yes! They serve breakfast and lunch at the same time...awesome. I'm going to give a blanket statement that everything was delicious. I even ate some of my aunts fries even though I had a hash brown with my breakfast (potatoes are my weakness like pizza). My mom and aunt loved their meals and ate most of it. The turkey burger was juicy and made in house, not a frozen patty. The steak was cooked exactly like my mom wanted and again, a delicious piece of meat. My eggs Benedict was top notch. I have not had one as good anywhere else, no lie. I just want to give another shout out to the waitresses and chefs. They had a full on line outside and so many people sitting together and they made it happen with everyone. To be short staffed and still be happy and smile while helping others is A plus behavior. Oh, and the coffee was a good brew. I drink it black. Highly recommend!!!

Wow, the last time I reviewed this Peg's was 10 years ago! While the restaurant is pretty much the same- seating arrangments, decor, menu, food and service; the prices are about $5-$7 more (as expected). It's been a while since we visited this location since there is another location closer to where we usually stay when we visit Reno. We met our friends around 10am on a Sunday morning. We were lucky enough to get two booths next to each other with little to no wait. As mentioned, everything is pretty much the same. Food and service are good and they still have the best sourdough and coffee. The hash was a little salty and mac salad and little overly mayo-ed but everything else came out fine. Our friends were surprised by the large portion sizes and variety of items offered. One thing to note is this location doesn't have a kids menu so if you are visiting with kids, be prepared to share with them or order adult portions for them. Also, Since they are a smaller location, most of the tables accomodate a max of 4-5 people so if there are more in your party, you will have to split up. While this Peg's is convinient if you are staying downtown, after visiting other locations we prefer the Northwest location for a few reasons- larger dining room, tables that can acocmodated more than 5 people, and kids menu.

Great for breakfast with a lot of regulars. Typical diner fare with a number of options. Can't go wrong with Spam!! Friendly staff and they rarely rush you. Does get busy on the weekend.

Old school breakfast place with huge portions. Our group had a Belgian waffle with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon, Bananas Foster full stack of pancakes and a half stack with eggs and bacon. My Bananas Foster pancakes were big and fluffy with a tasty sauce and ripe bananas. My daughter enjoyed her Belgian waffle as did my wife with her half stack and sides. I can't recall my server's name but he did an exceptional job. Need a big and tasty breakfast? Go check out Peg's!

Parking was a bit difficult but everyone was very kind and got my order in quickly! Eggs Benedict here is lovely and more lemony than a normal one, which I don't mind at all Overall, good place to grab breakfast

    Huge serving sizes

Serving sizes are huge and moderately priced. Service was quick considering how busy it was. Food quality was good but all drinks were watered down. Staff was VERY friendly. They definitely need a kids menu considering how big the serving sizes are. Definitely a good local spot for out of towners.

There was no wait on a Saturday around 1 pm. My friend said this place was good and definitely lives up to the hype. I had the loco moco and it exceeded my expectations. The gravy was thick and tasty. The pancakes were nice and fluffy. Service by Crystal was outstanding! She came back often to check on the table. Will be back when in Reno. Street parking

We went to Peg's downtown location on a Sunday for breakfast. It was amazing to see the difference in vibe and clientele from the neighborhood spot that we usually go to. The downtown location has many tourists and their families and it was very busy. It could be that it was Presidents' Day weekend. It felt that we were out of town too! We love their menu as there are so many things to choose from. They definitely serve one of the best hash brown side dishes in town. My hubby always gets omelettes and those are always tasty too. Their food is always delicious whenever we have gone to their different locations, even in Las Vegas! You can either order breakfast or lunch, but know that they close early in the afternoon, so there is no dinner service. It was fun to explore another Peg's location as we had not been to this one in a while. Service from Carolina was excellent even though she was super busy. She was so nice! Highly recommend, especially if you Ike being in a vibrant and bustling atmosphere for a weekend outing.

Our server checked on us the right amount and our food came out quickly. We ordered the Giant Hamburger and the BLT. The burger was thick, juicy, and piled high with classic toppings, messy in the best way and full of flavor. The BLT was generously stacked with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and tomato on toasted bread, simple and satisfying. The only downsides were the fries and my drink. The fries were overcooked, dry, and a bit too tough. I ordered a vodka soda, and it tasted more like soda with a splash of vodka. Overall, it was a good experience and we would return.

It was our 1st time eating there however it had been on our list for some time. We started with the PULL-APART GARLIC CHEESE BREAD which is Focaccia, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan, frico crust and also ordered the WOOD FIRED OCTOPUS with crispy gnocchi, tomatoes, red onion, basil, arugula and topped with a Calabrian chili aioli. Both were fantastic, seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature!! For our entree we hate the BEE STING pizza. Make with a 72 Hour Fermented Organic Dough topped with Salami, red onion, basil, serranos, mozzarella and honey. The crust was delicious, crunchy, thin and when combined with the sauce, seasoning and toppings, an excellent pizza. Additionally we ordered two of the in-house, housemaid pasta. The ARRABBIATA , a roasted red pepper campanelle, with Calabrese sausage, garlic, chilis, broccolini and topped with Parmesan, pecorino. The other pasta we tried was the BLACK SPAGHETTI, mixed with clams, scallops, shrimp, hot chopped peppers, white wine, butter and lemon. It was fantastic!! Cooked al dente and packed with flavor.
