Birria taco
Eddy M.

Don't know if they own the food truck, but I can vouch for the coffee business as their breakfast food is superb, but this review goes to the late night champ. -Carne asada fries 6/5: Gotta get'em!!! Let's talk about a late night option that hits the spot. You're hungry, you get 2 tacos and an order of carne asada fries and you just paid $20 for it. It better be good right...? Let me tell you it did not disappoint. Fry selection, crispy with a light inner that coated with sauce and cheese will not go soggy. The tomato, onion, and cilantro smells and tasted fresh. Carne asada... el "sazon" is spot on!!! When I tell you that combinations of flavors hits just right. It's an understatement... mix in your choice of green or red sauce. It mixes perfectly with the crema they use. Definitely some of the best in town. Tacos: 5/5 Packed with meat, fresh veggies, as well as the right kind of flavor that's differentiated. They do it right! Priced spot on for the meal; it's filling, but good enough to make you go back for more. When you bite into the birria, it made want another one... which Is always what you want with your birria. The al pastor, it's got a perfect mix of spice with sweetness and a savory punch that makes you lick your lips. I highly recommend the coffee shop as their breakfast burritos are delicious, but if you're driving by and want something that'll leave you coming back for more... look no further. Both options, conveniently in the same spot pack a delicious option of Mexican goodness!

My kids and I made a special trip to Sun valley to visit Mendoza's coffee today. It has been awhile since we visited. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito. My kids already had eggs and bacon at home, but they wanted something sweet; they ordered the mini pancakes with lechera and caramel on top of their strawberry and banana, a piña colada smoothie, chocolate muffin and a Nutella hazelnut crunch frappe. I resisted the urge to have their horchata iced coffee. It's my favorite besides the Gansito. :) They were fairly busy this am, but we were in no rush. I love how cute this place is and how it's come along. My first visit here I sat outside on the patio. Great service, but wish their breakfast burrito wasn't $12.99. I guess everybody has raised their prices. I had a full punch card today, so the frappe was free. Get yourself a punch card when you visit. We'll be back again next time we're in the neighborhood.

Sausage breakfast burrito with pickled jalepeño Chorizo quesadilla

Ordered via door dash and food arrived still warm. Got a breakfast burrito with sausage and opted for the pickled jalepeno, which added more flavor than spice - i do recommend. Food was great. I was pleased to see there were real potatoes in the burrito, not fries, hashbrowns, beans or rice. You get plenty for the price and they aren't stingy on the meat. Chorizo quesadilla was good as well. I'm pretty picky about Chorizo, and it tasted like quality meat. Since door dash, I cannot speak on service or ambiance.

I try to always try local businesses. This place is a quiet hidden gem. I love their daily specials and great selections. Something for everyone. My grandkids love the mini pancakes. I especially enjoy the fruit refreshers.

Enjoy coming here every week. This is the coffee shop

I love this coffee shop! The coffee taste delicious. They have a whole bunch of different coffee drinks but I stick to my fav. It's local and it's very convenient if you're on Sun Valley Blvd going into Reno, they don't have a drive-through, but they offer pick up orders so if you just wanna be in a out you can still do that. They are pretty quick with making drinks, I haven't one that's was mis-made once. Most lattes are still usually only $5.25! that's huge to me!

This place is really good. I got delivery last time and got mini pancakes with strawberry and banana which was wonderful. The only think is I was looking for hot coffee and couldn't find it on the menu.

Arnie's is locally owned and family run and we were so glad we finally made the time to stay and wait for a table. They were BUSY, but it was so worth the wait. This is spacious restaurant with variety, quality food, decent servings at a great price. Miguel was our server, he was charming and helpful navigating all the choices on the menu. I looked over their specials board and I was so happy to see they offered specialty coffees and non dairy options for milk. I was spoiled with an espresso machine for my birthday this year, so I've become an espresso snob and I didn't get my fix at home before leaving for brunch, so I started with their dulce de Leche iced latte, my daughter had an iced matcha latte, and my sister ordered a mocha. I had to have their steak and eggs. My kids ordered pancakes and eggs, my sister ordered their stuffed french toast. Everything was cooked perfectly and the smell of pancakes were amazing that I caved and had more than two bites; every bite was heavenly. I can't wait to come back with the rest of our family. This was the best breakfast I've had in awhile. Thank you Miguel for your service and the rest of the staff for from getting us served so quickly after we were seated.

Just this past weekend I had a chance to visit Los Altos and it did not disappoint. The ambiance felt vaguely familiar, similar to another breakfast spot closer in town, but regardless I was hungry. The wait was about 15 minutes for a party of two. We waited inside what appeared to be a busy Saturday morning with families coming in to get their fix. I'm feeling sweet and savory today. A Tres Leches French toast combo with bacon, scrambled eggs and country style potatoes. Fritzie W. loves her eggs benedict. Almost any flavor, any style, covered in a salsa de verde for her Los Altos bene. Man, the flavors. The French toast was delicious, the tres leches sauce, wasn't too sweet, but just enough to let you know it means business. So good. You can't go wrong with eggs, bacon and potatoes. Fritzie's let me try her Benedict it was really good, prepared right--flavorful, savory. Nothing prepared was overdone, the servings were satisfying and our waitress was kind and accommodating along with the manager that shift having visited our table briefly to see how we were enjoying our meal. Truly a satisfying experience. The price, affordable for two, under $40. You can't beat that. Granted Pyramid Way is a bit of a trek, if you're out this way, check them out. Tell them I sent you. They won't do anything special for you, but just remind them I'll be back lol.

Well, they won't be pulling this review, unless they want to break federal law as my disclaimer at the end will explain. I love the decorations, and all of the different alien stuff, and just random decorum that actually works for this place. People can also sign their name and put stickers on the wall! Anyhow, I've been coming to these for years. The one in Carson City also. I've actually been interested in buying into one of these franchises, because everyone that I've been to have been super successful, but its a cool $¼M just to get started. They have a good diverse menu, and they have mimosas by the pitcher. Of all the times I've been to these, I've only had a subpar meal one time, and that was a few times ago when I ordered the chorizo Benedict. I think they were training a new cook, but the eggs were way overcooked, but they were happy to bring me better eggs. This particular visit, Tony was my server. He is excellent! I'm pretty sure that he's waited on us somewhere down the line, but super on top of things, super happy, just a really good dude, so ask to sit with him if you want top notch service! This visit, I ordered the traditional Benedict. I'm an eggs Benedict FIEND, and every time I come here I always say I'm going to order something different, but I generally don't. I do on occasion, but this bene I ordered yesterday was ON POINT! Large eggs, poached perfectly, perfect hash browns, creamy rich hollandaise sauce, and I even ordered a side of biscuits and gravy, which were perfect. Haley brought our food to us out of the kitchen, she was super nice and told us we could rely on her if we needed anything special! Squeeze in is always pretty much a guaranteed home run. Sometimes the wait times are crazy, which is a good thing, but you can always check in online. I checked in online before I left the house yesterday, had about an 8 minute drive, and was seated within 3 minutes of getting there. But other times, I've checked in 20 minutes before arrival, and still had to wait 10 or 20 minutes. Regardless, to me it's worth the wait. Thanks squeeze in, thanks Tony, thanks Haley, we'll be seeing you again soon! To Yelp: I don't work here. I don't own this place. I'm not a shareholder. I'm not affiliated with this business other than being a faithful paying customer. I wouldn't advise pulling this review. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. A good amount of sausage without being overwhelming plus a thickness that sticks to the biscuit perfectly for a good mashing of the flavors. My son had Gambi's scramble. He said the eggs tasted weird but I had to point out that it has cream cheese which he did not notice so that is more of a him thing. Lol. I tried it personally I think it's a good mixing of flavors. The cream cheese texturing makes it a little weird if you are not expecting it. But good flavor. We both loved the potatoes that came with it had a little crisp one the outside and they we're NOT mushy on the inside. Still a slight firmness inside. Overall, very good. Server was amazing AGAIN. After parking, there were two doors/exits. We came in from the side and had to walk around to the front. There were a lot of people so we got on the waitlist. There is plenty of space inside to sit and wait. It's a lot larger on the inside than I expected with many tables so the wait was not too long. Once we were seated, we got our drink orders in and the server came to greet us. They had a lot on the menu so it took a bit to look through everything. I got the pancake combo and it was good. They gave me scrambled eggs instead of over medium eggs, and the server was quick to get the kitchen to make the correct eggs. I would love to try other items on the menu because it all looks really good. The atmosphere was decorated for Christmas, and there was a mural on the wall. It felt very cozy like you're being welcomed into someone's home for a meal. It does get very loud since they have so many tables and it is all one large open space. To pay, we go up to the counter. Overall, I am glad we found this place! The service and food were good. Definitely will come back and try other items on the menu.
