Fresh squeezed OJ was a +. Service was fast, good recommendations and honest answers about selections. You want breakfast or lunch, probably a great place to visit. Inside is clean, plenty of tables and places to sit. I was there for a quick meeting and it wasn't too loud. Fair prices.

Amazing place. It was around $78 for a table of 4. (2) kid meals. And 2 adult entrees.

Was back in town for the holidays and visited Jack's Coffee House in Sparks. Not too far from downtown and has a variety of options for any pallet, great portions with reasonable prices. No problem getting seated on a Wednesday morning. Our server quickly brought our drinks, offered us the specials and some clarifications on a few dishes. Coffee was fresh as well as the OJ. All meals were served very hot and prepared with love. Everything was great. Our server checked up on us frequently but allowed us space to talk and enjoy our meal. Restaurant was very clean and service was awesome. I highly recommend Jack's Coffee House. They can accommodate large groups for those wanting a meal close to the holidays.

The Mexican omlette

If i am in the area I would stop in again. Servers were all very friendly, and I really enjoyed my omlette. The branding is a little confusing as inside it is Jacobo's on the menu and cups. Thanks for breakfast!

Chilaquiles with green sauce and carne asada
Raquel F.

After passing by this establishment numerous times we've finally tried it out on a Sunday morning. I got the Chilaquiles with a Carne Asada on top. Chilaquiles were decent and so were rhe refried beans . My daughter had the crêpes and thought they were good . Pancakes were a little on the dry side Overall, the food was decent and service was ok. A little pricey for being a breakfast/coffee spot. We were in and out within 60 minutes. Not bad for a Sunday morning.

Veggie Omelet

This place, despite what some people say, is one of the most amazingly well ran restaurant in the Reno Sparks area. Every time we go. The wait staff is super duper friendly. Always very helpful with dietary changes I need and also insanely quick to get the food to your table. It has always come out hot and fresh even when I go with a large group of 10+ people. My go to meal is the vegetarian omelet. So satisfying yet no meat needed. My wife gets something a little different every time. And my coworkers LOVE all of the variety they have. In fact they love this place so much we almost exclusively go here when we have some sort of company breakfast. Lots of parking outside. They get REAL busy on the weekends but like I said before....amazingly keep up with the demand in a very impressive way.

I had my usual clam chowder soup bowl. It was very warm and hearty breakfast. My husband had his french toast which is an all time favorite. We also added some scones. I learned they make their own scones. Fresh and really yummy. You should try it if you haven't yet.

Mashed potatoes with EXTRA country gravy
Danada M.

Maybe I'm disappointed because people told me how great Jacks was? I had high expectations? I ordered a side of mashed potatoes with country gravy plus extra gravy and I told her "the potatoes are just an excuse to eat lots of gravy". They were delivered with brown gravy and not much of it so I reminded her I wanted country gravy and LOTS of it. She brought back potatoes with the gravy in a soup cup on the side which was GREAT but it took quite a while to get it back to me. Then she'd forgotten my Cole Slaw and that took a while. She didn't bring my husband's toast till she REdelivered my potatoes and gravy so he waited to start eating till he got his toast. Then it was only one piece of toast. He asked how much for another piece and she thought it was $4 for a side order of toast. Hmmmmm? She was very pleasant. Maybe she is just new at waitressing? I try to give some slack on delayed service. Maybe the kitchen is slow delivering to her? My husband said his bacon and cheese omelet was ok but not great. My Cole Slaw looked delicious. It was fresh and crispy and homemade looking but it had almost no flavor. I added some orange marmalade to the last half of it and it was better. The country gravy was fine. The potatoes were ok. They do not have WiFi which bothered my husband. Basically the food was ok. Maybe my expectations were just too high? There was nothing great about the ambiance...table edges were old and worn. I think I'm spoiled by Los Altos restaurant. I'd say if you're hungry and nearby the food here is fine. Go for it. If you find this review useful please VOTE!

We've been going to Jacobo's (formerly Jacks) for about eight months. The name change happened about two months ago. The menu is chock full of great breakfast and lunch choices and after taking your order the food is brought out QUICKLY! They have a great variety of seating for small or large parties and have several large screen TVs playing your favorite sport events. All the servers are great but we always ask for Paola. She's terrific!

The location is ideal. It is recently remodeled and spacious, clean and decorative. The service is improved to order in one area and the line up to pay at a register while your meal starts to be prepared. The staff is professional, personable and proficient. The food is brought to your table in a very quick time frame. I actually did lot put my order number on the table yet and the chicken tenders were being delivered. This kids menu has 3 large chicken tenders with ranch dressing, fruit cup or chips, milk or juice and a soft serve ice cream with sprinkles upon request. Such a great meal for kids at a reasonable price! We mention the deal to a lady with two grandkid at the play area and sure enough we saw her at the cafe ordering two kids meals! Awesome!

The Chicken was tender and tasty, but I wasn't too fond of the Parmesan Crusted Garlic Sourdough Bread. The salad was really good though and all ingredients tasted really fresh. Overall, I think the quality is quite good. The Customer Service was another story. The employees in the food section were unfriendly and almost on the verge of being rude. I have always had great Customer Service when I order coffee (which is a different section), so I was very surprised. Not sure if I will be back for food, but will always come back for coffee.

They offered to ground them as well. Took them whole. Had an awesome card spring special... Tonic and espresso.... Interesting flavor that grew on me as I drank it. I can't say I've ever met one I didn't like. Heck, even the 1/2-priced day-olds have a place in my heart. Have you ever put a donut in the microwave for 20 seconds? Today, a volunteer was needed to pick up a dozen donuts for a meeting. I said, "You buy, I fly," and off I went. It's 8:45am, not too busy, and customer service is spot on. The display cases are full of beautiful sprinkles and glaze and peanuts and bacon... yup, I was eye-balling that Maple & Bacon! I requested a mixed dozen. Then I saw it... the sign read "Sausage, Jalapeno and Cheese kolache." Ooooh goodness gracious, it was the biggest kolache I'd ever seen. And Id never seen one in Reno or Sparks. They do grow things bigger in TX. I know cuz I lived in Deep East TX. But this is Sparks, NV, and I want to try this. I've eaten a kolache or 2 or 500 in my day. He even offered to warm it up before I asked. I wanted this to be good, no I wanted it yo great. To be the "Whete have you been since I moved back to NV?" it wasn't. I was disappointed. The amount of filling to bread ratio was way off, in my opinion. I expected a sausage, not 6-8 sausage "coins" wrapped in a 7" x 5" dough package. It was soft, and the color was so inviting. It looked like it was gonna be amazing. If you've never tried one, do try Donut Bistro's kolache... It's a soft, warm, savory option. Just make sure to also ask for the Maple & Bacon, cuz that one doesn't miss a point!
