Came for Easter brunch with family and WOW! My sister is a regular but for dinner - glad we finally tried this local gem! Everyone had a great meal. In particular, my Huevos Rancheros! So delicious and NOT an over the top huge dish - just perfectly done.

Classic Eggs Benedict and Bloody Mary

First time for breakfast here! So, eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast so I try it everywhere I go hands down in the top two of Eggs Benedict in Reno, it's all About the poached eggs, perfectly cooked and their hollandaise was the very best.! The food was hot, perfect temperature. I was seated and served very quickly by the friendly staff. It's busy here today, and the vibe here is electric! Has a mom's kitchen sort of feel here this morning, with the energy of a hometown bar. this is definitely my new regular spot for breakfast and a cocktail. Today I had their house Bloody Mary, perfectly spiced and custom made for me!!

Honest dine in experience: 5/5 for bar food, one of the best customer service experiences we've had in a while paired with a delicious weekend menu! Tap in below! Called in and ensured they had availability, and was welcomed with our questions and invited to come in! Walking in, was welcomed to sit wherever we wanted, as well as was accommodated with our toddler without even having to ask! Had a great conversation with the staff who talked to our son and made him feel comfortable which was already a win! Add consistent service and bam! Amazing experience even with a slightly busy brunch! -Breakfast tacos: 4.5/5 Stuffed to the brim! Delicious eggs and chorizo with avocado over the top, simply just well paired with the MVP of the dish! The fries!!! You can't see it in the picture, but let me walk you through the experience! Heftily packed tortillas That hold well with the egg chorizo combo, freshly cooked with a fresh touch of avocado. Add a crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned fries to pair with this dish... you're on a texture train of deliciousness that screams out. Yes!!!!! Customer service was extremely on point and simply just a great representation of the quality food you get. We'll be frequenting this place more often!

I was surprised at how small the restaurant was. I def recommend giving it a try. The food was amazing and the waitress was attentive and polite. We gave her an off the menu request and she understood and had the chef accommodate. If in the area again I would def come again to check out breakfast and lunch.

This is a mixed review. The food was good and the staff was so nice. The chef was delivering food to tables and was very kind. However, there was 1 waitress and 1 chef. It was very understaffed. It took probably 15 minutes before we even received menues and we had a reservation. It's small inside so even with just a few tables, it's very loud. We couldn't hear each other. Not a great place for a family dinner.

Not sure how I've missed this place. Driving around checking the usual places in the shopping center and neighborhood. They all seemed packed, or at least there was no parking . I was getting ready to give up, when I saw the tables outside. Parking was easy. There were a few available tables and I was told to pick my spot. The place is nicely lit, but for some reason the menus dark background and shiny finish made it impossible to read without the flashlight on my phone. Ordered a yummy elderflower mimosa. Yum yum, had two! And a club sandwich. Food was good and fresh. Service was quick and server was very nice! Can't wait to go back.

I had there Patty Melt w/ fries & my husband hade a shrimp salad! Both excellent! But the Coconut Shrimp took the best! Love happy hour there too! We will be back!

First time I've ever been in here so we got seated right away got the menu and I ordered first thing I ordered they were out of so secondary order the food was good service was good next time I'll order a soda or something because the water they served us smell like fish water so I think it made us a little sick just our luck I will definitely give it another try to see if that improves all in all it was okay

So excited for all the new ownership/renovation changes and for all that has stayed the same. It's been 18+ months since I've been able to go out like this! My fave Cobb Salad is still marvelous even if the small version is no longer an option. Fresh warm grilled chicken breast, real bacon! fresh grated egg, sliced ripe avocado, and terrific extra blue cheese dressing is simply perfect. Menu is still varied and great sounding, just more expensive as is everything else in our lives. Wait staff is different faces but still welcoming and so friendly!! The refreshed decor is exciting, bright and clean. Wine choices have had the upgrade they so badly needed, not super expensive or over the top but steady and approachable choices, at least for this Chardonnay drinker. I really need to try some of the other delish menu choices but I'm old school and stuck in my ways when I find near perfection.

TL DR: Hidden gem with amazing service, great ambiance, and reasonable prices. I will be back! Ambiance: Nice little bar area with ample seating for smaller and larger groups. Nice lighting, somewhat minimalistic decor but it works. Most importantly for me, the restaurant is clean! 4.5/5 Food: A nice selection of sandwiches and burgers. Portions are generous. I ended up getting the burger with fries and my pictures don't do it justice. The patty was cooked the way I asked, juicy, and tender. The fries were amazing; great color and seasoning. Also the buns were toasted with right proportion of golden brown. To top it off their ranch is pretty dang good. After a few disappointing burgers from other establishments, I'm glad I ordered one here! 5/5 Service: Friendly!!! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile. They were attentive to our drinks, provided great suggestions, and even asked the kitchen about a question we had for a food substitution. 5/5 There's no question I will be back to try some of their other items on the menu.

The highest price for a hamburger or patty melt 25 dollars really it's just hamburger grilled. Fish & chips 25 I don't think so.

It really does not taste anything like an "old fashioned" but it's very good and my usual go-to. Ambiance is cool. Has a very Edgar Alan Poe vibe mixed with an alchemist/speakeasy. We had several drinks and every single one was perfection! The bathroom is the cutest and they have the coolest speakeasy door that the employees use to get to the back (not for the customers). My rant..I'm not from the area so I had NO idea what this place was when I walked by. It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. I walked inside and instantly got the death glare from an employee. I instantly said omg I take it this place isn't kid friendly.. he rudely said no. I wanted to clarify and confirm even outside ? He said no. I apologized and they left but the vibe and way he said it was definitely off putting. My sister and I decided to stay for a drink while my husband/child went to walk around. Usually I don't give bad costumer service a chance.. but I realllllllly wanted a drink that one of those others customers were drinking. If this place had better costumer service. It would be a 5

We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Saturday. The joint was nearly empty aside from a couple at the bar. Plenty of seating for our large group in the large, comfy couches. A fun and unique way to sort cocktails. They also have a selection of beer on draft and wine. The drinks can also be made into mocktails- a win for our group since we had a few non-drinkers. The 1859 mocktail was great. Perfectly sweet with a small hit of miso flavor from the miso honey. Probably even better and more balanced with the whiskey! Others in my group enjoyed working their way through the many light, dark, and sour beers on tap. 1864 offers a classic, relaxed atmosphere and a great place to get a cocktail. The prices are reasonable, too. Definitely worth the visit.

A wonderful magic show inside the Grand Sierra Hotel & Casino…read more I was looking for something to do without leaving the hotel for a major conference. I saw that they were advertising this show...and I like a good magic show. It did not disappoint. The sleight of hand and on-stage demonstrations were incredible. I was still banging my head of how they did it or maybe it was the cocktail at the bar that was playing tricks on my mind. As a guest of the hotel, I had a 20% coupon and promptly used it at the ticket office, though I think I should have picked my seat better. Nonetheless, I was in the second row and I was able to get a good look of the magic up close. If you arrive early, you can hang out for Happy Hour, they had some unique drinks including the local standby beers and cocktails...and mocktails for those attending the all-ages show. I recommend seeing this show on a Friday or Saturday night if you want a bit more rambunctious, racy show.

After happy hour ended a bud light and high noon was $18. I can't believe they turned the old movie theater into a magic show theater. I sat there thinking about all the movies I saw at the Hotel and the first time I had a drink in a movie theater so long ago, 1989. It was fun in the bar prior to the doors opening they have a magical experience for adults and kids to set the mood for the evening. Tracy the bartender was awesome! She also works at Blitz during the day. She has the kindest soul and such a people person! It was like I had known her for years. They have a box office where you can purchase tickets. Very hard to hear the gal! They definitely need a microphone to speak to each other. If you think you're going to save a few extra dollars on those service fees - you may have to think twice, just purchase on line. It's much easier. Also, they have a snack bar with fresh popped popcorn $9 -$13 and huge pretzels $14. Chase Hasty and his wife have traveled around the world to over 25 countries sharing their magical talent and ballet dancing skills. My favorite part of the show was when Chase brought out a locked box and Hoisted the box with a rope up to the ceiling and told this guy to watch the box. Later in the show they opened the box, it was a pretty impressive trick!!! One not to be forgotten!! It's a small production but well thought out with couple extra dancers and costumes changes. I love that Chase, picks people out of the audience to help with the show. Maddox was a return kid that had been practicing his magic and Chase let him perform in front of the audience and what is that called "That's Magic!!!" It's nice the performers will met you afterwards in the hallway to have pictures and ask questions. It's a great family night or you can come to the later show at 9pm for a little more risky nocturnal show. I'll have to save that one for another time!
