We recently stopped in for lunch with some friends and, once again, we were not disappointed. It was a late lunch on a Sunday, and the place was pretty empty, so we could easily talk/hear each other. My wife ordered the Cobb Salad, which she really liked. I selected the Fish and Chips, and asked for the fries to be extra crispy. The fish was a little heavily breaded, but super tasty. The fries were the bomb! Bottom line: Old Granite Street Eatery will continue to be on our go-to list for sure.

1/23 So we were out on a Friday night a group of us coming from a yelp event that did not involve food so we needed somewhere to eat. A couple of places were really busy due to it being a Friday night, but we came across this place and it was not very crowded. We had a party of seven we were greeted immediately and sat. Megan C was our server and she was amazing. SERVICE was really good. Ambience was cool. Very laid-back. I ordered the blazin burger with sweet potato waffle fries, and it was delicious. I also had an old granite fashioned (old fashion)and it was delish . Wife had the honey garlic chicken sandwich and a salad and she really enjoyed. We had a very nice time with all of our friends and everybody really enjoyed the food. Definitely would go back to Try some other stuff. Enjoy !!!!

On a Friday evening that was quite busy everywhere else, our group of 7 came in and were seated right away. It has been some time since I have visited, and I was pleased to see that the quiet charm is still here. Our sever Megan was very sweet and took such good care of us. She took our drink orders and had them out very quickly. I ordered their signature old-fashioned, it was crafted very well. I enjoyed it. I wasn't feeling like having a large meal that late in the evening, so I decided on the soup of the day, which happened to be chili. It was a perfect comfort meal on a cold evening. We had a great time and I really enjoyed the quiet laid-back atmosphere.

I ate here 4 days before the closing. Service and food were excellent and prices reasonable but not very many patrons on a weekend night which was odd all things considered. I'm just glad I got to try it! Are Reno people not bothering to go downtown and support businesses like? It had way more character that your average restaurant. What a shame.

Food is AMAZING for brunch. We always get the French toast, potatoes with beer cheese and mimosa for 2 BUT the past two times we've tried to go, they have been closed even though every place online says they are open. The cheapest way to market your restaurant is to have your hours be correct ‍

I had been wanting to try them for decades! I finally got a chance to stop in for a burger and an Old Fashioned. I opted for a side salad instead of fries which was amazing The bison burger blew my mind with the cheese, arugula and bacon adding layers to the flavor. This may be my favorite burger in northern Nevada!

Stopped in for burgers with some family on a Saturday evening. Staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed garlic parm fries and bacon chips for apps and tried the breakfast, OG, blazing, and Mediterranean burger for our meals. Burgers were cooked perfectly, bacon was just right! All food was delicious. They also had a great wine and beer selection and full bar. Decor is rustic and quaint, plenty of seating. Also a block from Royce which is always packed and burgers here are just as good! Recommend trying.

Located about a block from the Pioneer Center, the Old Granite Street Eatery makes for a perfect date night of dinner and a show. I rarely open with the service but tonight our waitress Allison (?) was deserving of the kudos. Happy, friendly and welcoming, Allison added so much to the experience. The other staff were equally friendly and helpful. We sat at a cozy booth for four, which was fine if not a bit snug. We ordered a variety of meals, so let me start with the Chicken Ceasar Salad. Fresh and flavorful, the salad was served with the usual parmesan cheese and croutons. What made the salad special were the bits of bacon and avocado. Delicious. Not feeling overly peckish, a friend opted for the "OG" wings and fries as her main. She opted for the Honey Garlic sauce, which while delicous proved to be a complicated choice, considering we were going to show afterwards. Sticky fingers. Our friend ordered the Pan Seared Barramundi. A delicious, flaky white fish, the fish was absolutely delicious. Served with rice and asparagus. My wife went with the Sirloin Steak. While Sirloin would not have been my first choice, the Bacon Chipotle Demi-Glaze was a nice touch. The potatoes were a bit on the dry side, perhaps sitting under the warming lights a touch too long. Overall, a lovely evening. Great service and conveniently located close to the Pioneer Center.

This was our first time here and we came before a show at the Pioneer Center. Nice restaurant with high ceilings, bar area, tables, and booths. They even had hooks on the booths that you could hang jackets or bags on to allow for more space while seated. Nice touch. The staff greeted us and are very friendly with great energy. We had a reservation and were sat right away. We ordered a couple appetizers (hummus plate and bacon chips) since it was happy hour and there was a 2 for $20 deal. Our main meal had us both trying their burgers (bison burger and breakfast burger). The food was delicious. Our server was super friendly, checked in on us, and always had a smile. She was hustling around the place for sure with all the tables. We would definitely go back to try other menu items.

Our first time here. We walked in and were immediately nervous because no other customers were there. Gulp. We started with the pretzel bites. They came fresh with melty beer cheese - tasty. Our server was friendly to start but got increasingly more distant as time went on. The water jugs on the table were empty almost immediately and never refilled. Also - warm water as no ice was offered. Call me a cranky American but I love some ice in my water!! Entrees were tasty but took a while to come out. I was disappointed in my Parmesan garlic fries - the flavor was there but the fries were lukewarm at best when they arrived. Blazing burger was indeed quite spicy. We'll continue to try other spots in downtown...perhaps the service was terrible because it was a weeknight?

Came with my mom prior to a performance at the Theater and thoroughly enjoyed our time during happy hour! Half of drinks and cheap glasses of good wine was definitely a highlight! Our server was very nice and attentive even thought we were there a couple of hours. We started with wine and cocktails and then each ordered a different burger. My spicy jalapeño burger was top notch and tasted delicious! The caesar salad was also good and fishy which is how I like my caesar salads. The place was cute and while tables were close together you didn't feel like you were stepping on anyone's space. The espresso martini was notable and creamy which is how I like those martinis.

It was our first time here at Old Granite Street Eatery. We came here for lunch during a weekday and came right when it opened at 11am. It's located in Midtown. Front door has steps and if needed there's a back door with somewhat of a ramp, which we wish we knew beforehand because we had a stroller. Place is cute with a little bar to the right. A little dusty inside, could use a little cleaning around the seating areas and menus could use a wipe down. When we first walked in, we were greeted and seated right away. Water is already pre poured in a pitcher on the table. We ordered a honey chicken sandwich with battered french fries and a breakfast burger with waffle sweet potato fries. Order came is within 10-15 minutes. The fries were my favorite part! Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Portions were right for what it was priced. About $15-$20 per person.

    Welcome!

Wow, long time since my last review, and time for an update! Granite Street has become a staple as one of the quality restaurants in the downtown Reno area. My wife and I decided to wing it for dinner out on a Friday night. After walking by a few spots, we decided to revisit Granite Street as it has been a year or 2 since we last dined here. Busy on a Friday which was great to see, and the staff was really accommodating to fit us into a table without reservations. Great menu with lot's of good options to choose from, I especially like all the different burgers, and have always been a fan of their burgers overall here. We started with the Roasted Brussel Sprouts, which were a good starter, nice and light with a spring green mix which worked well. We shared the Cobb Salad and the Breakfast Burger with a side of Sweet potato waffle fries. Really good, I'm sometimes hesitant to order burgers with egg but this one was exactly what I was hoping for. Great meal overall, our server was quick to take our order and food came out quickly and fresh. Glad I came by for another visit, every time I walk in I appreciate the open design and I'm remind of the history of the building. I still remember when it was a wedding chapel, and recently learned it was a cafe before that. Neat history of the building can be found here for those that are interested: https://renohistorical.org/items/show/108

Might be accompanying some friends who enjoyed your restaurant. I am vegan though and I just checked the lunch/dinner menu and am not finding anything vegan or that can be easily modified. Is there anything and did I just miss it?

Do we need to make a reservation for tonight (12/28/2022) for 3 people, around 6:15?

That is during their happy hour and there's just a few tables so it would be a good idea

Hi! Meeting some friends there tonight. Where would be the best place to park, around 5PM? Thanks!

There's street parking right by there. :) Just might want to bring a couple of quarters... can't remember if the meters end at 5 or 6.

So rumor has it, by rumor I mean "impossiblefoods.com" listed them to have their burgers, is that true?

Yes right now they have 4 different. A veggie, a vegan, regular, & chutney. All amazing!!

What is the corkage fee here?

    I believe it is $15

Do I need to dress up?

    No need to dress up.

When we showed up, we asked if we could sit at a table outside, the guy was a little overwhelmed, he said "I can sit you in 10 mins". I said "can we have this table". OK, but....just know I'll be with you as soon as I get caught up, I'm totally fine with that I said. . He bought us a couple menus to look over. Then a table on the railing with shade opened up, I didn't care about the table was dirty with dishes, so we decided to move. I love to look at the river and watch the people go by. The server said, I'll be over soon! He was never so happy when Sierra showed up to help him out. He came over to our table I said "I hope you don't mind, I moved to be in the shade, I know I'm one of those pain in the ass customers". Then he started joking with me and it was the perfect ice breaker. My server and part owner's name is Casey! He is an awesome guy and such a hard worker to ensure his customers are taken care of. I love that. We had a couple beers, he has quite the selection of beers on tap, he supports the community breweries such as Lead Dog and Revisions. My husband had the breakfast burrito $13, it was huge with homemade tortilla chips with salad and guacamole. I had the fish and chips. You get three large pieces of fish, fries and yummy coleslaw. I love how they put the tater sauce and ketchups in personal cups for you that shows class. My fish was absolutely delicious better than the old Smees and especially the new location. You get a nice meal for $20. They have indoor, outdoor, bar seating. They have a little merch area and a gaming bar if you feel lucky. It got very rowdy in there so we left. I will come back during better weather. I only suggest you fix your website to be more current.

Before you go in, there is signs that says expect a 20 minute wait or more for a burger. If that is an issue for you, this isn't the spot for you. I've gone here a few times. The most recent time with my parents and aunt. I was a bit skeptical taking them to a dive bar for a burger since I wasn't sure how they would react to it. I didn't know until after the meal that they had a whole back section that would have been a lot better of an experience for them. They have a lot of tables and room back there whereas the front is either a bar, one table, or more a a lounge set up. There is also a outdoor area, but it had been a bit windy and sprinkling throughout the day so that isn't an option. I've done the Frenchified burger and the chile burger. Both times i opted for the fries over the chips and feel like I need to try the chips. Burger comes with two patties, a great bun, than the rest is up to you on which you choose. The fries are what I would consider shoe string fries, but maybe slightly thicker. I'm usually not a fan of shoestring fries, but I polished them off easily both times. My parents and aunt are harder to please. They like ingredients that speak for themselves and don't like too much sauces. All 3 of them really enjoyed it and I'm sure they will all be back. They have been looking for a good burger in Reno and I think this was it for them.

Harris Ranch beef, local fried egg, perfect acids from the kimchee and pickles and superb bacon rounded out this organic burger But the fries really made the meal to the point where i ordrred a second order to go with my second pint! Service was top notch, too This restaurant is worthy of a Michelin Star!

After eight years, I think it is time for an update…read more Our most recent visit was overall good. We made a reservation, but on a Thursday evening, it was not full. We were given a choice where we wanted to sit. Water and menus were brought right away. Kenyon our server, took drink orders and on returning took our meal orders. Overall service was good and our satisfaction was checked. I had the Tiger Prawns and Grits. My best beloved had Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Both were very generous portions. The prawns were very good. The grits were a bit runny (I prefer dryer grits) but tasty. My husband said the chicken tasted good, but was a bit overcooked. We shared a Tiramisu for dessert. We felt the food was good, but nothing swoon worthy considering the price. The atmosphere is cozy, but did not feel closterphobic. Is it worth a return visit? Yes.

Tried Sierra St Kitchen & Cocktails for dinner and drinks before going to a movie for a date night…read moreand had a good time. We started by ordering some drinks and bruschetta. The drinks were great and tasty, but the bruschetta honestly fell a little flat - the portion felt tiny with four small raw white bread medallions and just some diced tomatoes tossed on top with a drizzle of balsamic that I overall didn't have much taste and felt lacking as an attempt at bruschetta but it was no big deal and we moved on. We also ordered the filet tips with gnocchi that took a little longer and came out with the main entrees and it was delicious. The filet tips were savory and flavorful, the gnocchi was excellent and the sauce was rich and creamy. My wife ordered the chef's pasta which turned out to be a shrimp pasta that she really enjoyed, and I ordered a spicy sausage rigatoni pasta that looked amazing but unfortunately fell short - it had a little bit of spice and everything was cooked perfectly but the noodles and meat tasted plain and the sauce was quite bland and watery and lacked any sort of seasoning. We asked for some salt which made it a little better and I finished it but would probably not order it again. Lastly, we topped the night off with the banana foster which couldn't miss. It was extremely delicious and was the perfect end to the meal. The service was exceptional and extremely pleasant which honestly boosted the experience. There was a large loud party happening and drinks and food were taking quite a bit to come out, but our server was amazing, charming, and attentive. They apologized and comped our drinks without even having to say anything and made us feel welcome and comfortable. I would come back for the service alone. Overall had a great night with delicious drinks and fantastic service with food that can be a little hit or miss and requires finding your favorites.
