First stop we made after flying into Reno was Reno Public Market. I'm a big fan of food hall concepts. Apparently this 50/50 Brewing location is relatively new in there. I'm glad it was there. I hadn't been to 50/50 in many years, and it was just the Truckee location back then. We enjoyed all the beers we had and the bartender Bryan was a cool dude to chat with, excellent service. He recommend the sausage platter as it was clear to us we needed a snack with the beers. That was great too. The space is industrial decor- tall and open, like the food hall. Nice, clean, and new. First time here. Second attempt to find it. I'm not local. When I followed my GPS and ended up on the wrong end of the building. I'm happy that I gave it another GO. Fifty Fifty is inside Reno Market Place. Good beers. Good service. Great food. Sampled several IPAs. Pork belly burnt ends, Kimchi Reuben Sandwich, potato salad, all very good. I even had a chance to chat with the chef. BTW - Don't go in here and ask for a Bud Light. LOL read more

My partner and I are on a quest to try all the breweries and new eateries in town. When we learned of a brewery inside the Reno Public Market, we had to try it. We were met with a friendly bar tender who said we could choose our table. The server- a young college-age woman- came quickly to take our drink order. We wanted to sample a couple beers before deciding on one and those came really fast. It took a bit for her to come back to take our order but it was no big deal because we weren't in a hurry at all. She was also pleasant and efficient otherwise. The food and beer is why this establishment lost stars in my opinion. The beer- a sour- was OK. It wasn't bad but it wasn't something I'd be looking to have again anytime soon. The sours at Great Basin are infinitely better. We ordered the beer cheese and pretzel board which came with cold baby potatoes (intentional but honestly an odd choice IMO), apple slices, and grapes. This was such an odd grouping of food to us. The beer cheese was delicious and warm and the pretzel was perfect but what were we supposed to do with the apples and grapes? Dip them in the cheese? Also, the beer cheese just slid off the cold baby potatoes when we dipped them in the sauce. We aren't rocket scientists but we are college educated adults and we were confused about the strange amalgamation of food on the platter. We also got the barbecue plate to share. The pork was delicious but that was the only crowning achievement. The brisket was...odd. It was too thin and was a strange color. I only ate a small bite of it. The sausage was OK, but way over cooked. The macaroni salad was good, but again, nothing to write home about. All in all, we left feeling pretty meh. The ambiance is odd. I don't know how else to describe it. The couch areas seem like a strange choice and I truly can't tell you why. If you go when the sun is still high in the sky around dinner time, there are like two tables to sit at where the sun coming from the skylights won't blind you or make you melt. The stage for the live music in the RPM, is literally backed right up to the brewery and when there is live music, you ain't talking to anyone. It's insanely loud. Maybe when I was in my early 20s that'd be THE scene but now, I just want to sit and converse with my partner. I don't know. This place isn't terrible but it isn't fabulous either. I'd give them another try but it won't be before we try every other brewery in town first. read more

We've been to the Truckee location and we're very excited to see one opened in Reno. Great location in the Reno Public Market. Wonderful lighting and plenty of space. Great bar area and lots of high top and low tables. They have a games area where you can grab board games too. Decent amount of TVs. The food was great, homemade chips were fantastic. Our server was truly wonderful. It was her second day and for the love me I have completely blanked on her name. Regardless she was awesome. Super fun and great sense of humor. Came in for the first time while passing through town. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted and got our order. Beer was great, and it was a really nice atmosphere. Finally had the chance to try out Fifty Fifty on a Sunday Afternoon. The Reno Public Market was especially busy and noisy so I was excited to find Fifty Fifty much more accommodating and comfortable. Our server was quick to seat us and get our drink orders. They have good beers on draft as expected. We ordered the pretzel appetizer and the BBQ Mix Plate. Both were good, the cheese with the pretzels was very good, and the mix plate checked all the boxes! We enjoyed the lounge area with our son while we were waiting, and we all enjoyed the decor and relaxed space. One recommendation for the owners, having some board games would be a nice addition since there are the sofas and people can come in and have a beer and play chess, checkers, battleship, etc. Happy Hour Daily 2-5PM, look forward to coming back for that soon to try some of the other delicious food and beer options. read more

The new Fifty Fifty Brewing in the RPM is certainly interesting, but I am not sure I'm sold on it quite yet. Visiting for lunch on a Saturday before an Aces game. We were intrigued by the weekend happy hour deals, and I am a big fan of Fifty Fifty's location in Truckee. This location is not as vibey as the Truckee location. No outdoor seating or idyllic mountain views here. Loud music pumps in from the open-air space that is RPM, and the decor seemed very unlike the other location- much more formal. This would be a great place to grab beers, as it offers more of a bar atmosphere and less of a restaurant, though it still offers a full menu with full-service dining. Onto the food- we ordered the turkey club wrap with the pesto potato salad, the happy hour sausage platter, the happy hour sliders, and the tuna sandwich. I also tried their hop water, which was refreshing but light on the hop flavor. I love that they offer an NA choice, though! The happy hour sliders are great. They are priced great, are absolutely delicious, and the portion size is large for a happy hour-priced snack. The sausage platter was absolutely disappointing. Overcooked sausage, lack of flavor, and almost nothing on the plate. Served with a side of warm and oily arugula. Disgusting. Do not order this. Not worth the money or calories. The club wrap was ok. The portion size was fine, but there was nothing special going on here. Very bland and plain club wrap. The pesto potato salad was weird. I liked it, but it wasn't really potato salad. It was cold roasted potatoes with pesto and pine nuts. The tuna sandwich was ok. It had a super lemony flavor that overpowered the whole dish. The portion size was average. Overall, the food at this Fifty Fifty was a let-down. I think my next visit will focus exclusively on their BBQ meat menu items, as the sliders were the only great thing we ate. I think for now, this location is great for beers, but there are far better food options in and around RPM. read more

Revisiting as a semi-regular... Staff is FANTASTIC; starting with the BeerTender who is always willing to converse about the house-made brews (still coming from the original brewhouse in Truckee...the tanks belie the FACT that their beers will be brewed here, soon) Simi was our engaged server who conversed WITH our group readily and was more than willing to bring a healthy taster to the uncertain. Beers were fantastic variety, personally I veered away from my usual IPA and opted for the Belgian Quad...good decision. Although I gave five stars, the happy hour personal cheese boards were stacked well with salad greens and cheeses but no olives or nuts were on either of the two orders of this. Last night, I think I had too much. :) Due to it being the first day, there were limited beers and food options, but I am used to that for day-one businesses. Bryan, our server, was fantastic. Open since March 2026 we were excited for this location to finally be open. Some similar menus and beers from the Tahoe location. Great food options including smoked meat to meet the local challenges. The beer was excellent the nachos and the burnt ends fantastic. We had the bread pudding which was delicious as well. FiftyFifty Brewing Company in Reno in Plumb lane was a great experience from start to finish. We came during happy hour (which they offer every day from 2-5), and everything we ordered was excellent. The sliders were amazing--super flavorful. We tried one beef and one pork, and the beef was definitely my favorite. We also had the ceviche tostadas, which had just the right touch of spice and were incredibly fresh and delicious. Everything was well balanced and full of flavor. The atmosphere is super relaxing with a great vibe--perfect for hanging out and enjoying a meal without feeling rushed. Very friendly and attentive staff Ordered the BBQ Mix Plate and it was great! Good smoke flavor on all the meat and the additions of the pickle and pickled onion was nice. The only bland item was the macaroni salad. Adding in peperroncinis (sp?) and some of that juice would give it a nice little zing to compliment the meats. I have never tasted a more foul potato salad in my life. It tasted like it was soaked in a very barely forward beer and heated up to an uncomfortable temperature. The brisket sandwich was okay and the picked veggies were very salty. Beer was good. The venue is loud, especially when they are doing karaoke, which we didn't know about. Fifty Fifty Brewing, by far the best food and service in The Reno Public Market. I had the Smoked Chicken Naan Wrap and my wife got the Mediterranean Salad. The chicken on the wrap was very juicy and the veggies on the wrap were fresh. The Mediterranean Salad had a good mix of flavors and was very satisfying. The staff were extremely professional and very efficient. The place was packed but they were able to handle the large crowd with ease. Price wise, they are the best value food/drink option in the Reno Public Market. The restaurant is on the back side of the stage in the market so if a band is playing it can be loud.... but it is the same in every spot in the market when a band is playing.
