I've been to meaning on come to bricks, and I had the pleasure of finally going tonight! It gave old school charm! My husband and I got the crabcakes, spinach salad and shared a ribeye steak. Everything was absolutely delicious. The baked Alaska was a little bit of an after thought but a great way to end the meal. I definitely want to come back here, as the prices are very fair for their quality.

Filet mignon& mashed potatoes was excellent!!

First time at Bricks for a small company Christmas party and it was awesome!! I loved the old school vibe and feel of the restaurant! Service was good, maybe a touch slow but the restaurant was super busy and we all enjoyed socializing and chatting in between courses. We ordered crab cakes and Caesar salad for everyone at the table and both appetizers were delicious. Caesar dressing was zesty and a little creamy , crab cakes were really good too. 3 of us ordered filet mignon with mashed potatoes, I thought the filet dinner was excellent , cooked and seasoned perfectly mashed taters were creamy and delicious , a great meal across the board. I also enjoyed a couple whiskey sours with my meal and for dessert we had the baked alaska coffee ice cream cake. I highly recommend everything we ordered and I can't wait to come back try it all over again !! Great job....Cheers!!

This is a great restaurant near the element hotel. The appetizers were delicious in the steak which they are famous for is really good and a nice size. The fries that came with a steak were delicious. The staff is friendly in the ambience is good. The baked Alaska dessert was also great with some coffee.

Try the curry halibut for something zesty and original. I have eaten here many times. Quiet upscale joint with a familiar old-school simple feel to it. The food is always solid, if not spectacular. The service has always been great. If you are looking for a place to host formal private meetings or talks, they offer two quiet private rooms. As far as the Reno restaurant scene goes, this is one of the more reliable choices outside of the large casinos.

One of Reno's best kept secret. Great steakhouse at a reasonable price. My wife and I usually do a surf and turf and get a fillet and the seafood thermidor. The thermidor is insane! A very generous portion or lobster, scallops, and shrimp. The sauce is amazing, and the depth of flavor achieved is impressive! The servers are always knowledgeable and friendly. If you are looking for a great spot for a date night, look no further than bricks!

We celebrated my birthday at Brock's on a Wednesday The place was hopping-bar looked to be busy and the Dining room was full. Joy was our server and she was a delight! My SIL had called ahead to pay for a bottle of wine for us. The message was conveyed and taken care of seamlessly. I always love Bricks and it is a favorite for any celebration. We started with their lump crab cakes which had a delicious remoulade sauce with the perfect amount of spice. Moved on to a caprese salad with avocado...and our main courses were the pasta seafood Special (prawns, lobster and scallops in a creamy wine sauce.) AMAZING! Hubs had the salmon with a red wine reduction and mashed Potatoe. Melt in your mouth

In my all my 28+ years living in Reno, how have I not been here before? Last minute reservations on a Saturday night led to an amazing dinner at Bricks. My party was seated right away upon arriving. We were all hungry so we ordered main entrees without appetizers. We had the shrimp scampi, seafood thermidor, filet mignon and macadamia crusted sea bass. Although it took some time for the dishes to come out, it was well worth the wait. All the plates came out hot and based on my party's reaction, everyone enjoyed their food. Large portions and everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had the seafood thermidor and highly recommend it if you like seafood. We ended our meal with the baked Alaska and crème brûlée for dessert and both were delicious and not overly sweet. Service was great, ambiance was what you expect of a steakhouse and pricing quite reasonable for a steakhouse. All in all a great dining experience. We will be back.

Filet Mignon, perfectly done at medium rare! Bricks has a wonderful atmosphere, friendly, proficient staff (Heidi today) and delicious food.

The food is excellent with ample proportions and beautiful presentation. The filet mignon steak was so tender and prepared exactly as requested medium rare , on the rare side. The coconut prawns were tender, with the crispy crust outside and had the sweet sauce on the side. The service was excellent.

Delicious!! Decided to come here for date night and we got right in. It is a pretty big restaurant with lots of seatings. Service was great. Our waitress was extremely nice. The food was so so good. I got the king salmon and was asked how I like it cooked. I've never been asked that before so I said medium and my god it was the most delicious salmon I've ever had. It was so soft and not dry like other places. Baked Alaska for dessert was yummy also. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely dinner celebrating a friend's birthday on a busy Saturday night. I had a special that was offered on this particular night...John Dory fish with a lemon butter caper sauce, served with veggies and rice. I substituted whipped potatoes to replace the rice. The whole dish was very delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly highlighting the buttery, light and tender flavored fish. Potatoes and veggies were excellent too. I would happily order this again. My hubby ordered the mushroom raviolis and he devoured them. He loved them. The restaurant was a bit loud due to a party of about 10-12 guests who were extremely vocal. Felt bad for the date night couples and small parties near that table who had to bear their noisy presence. We had a half wall separating us and even our conversations were greatly affected by their volume. Of course large groups can have a grand time, but it's unfortunate how one group of diners can affect the ambiance of an entire restaurant. Usually Bricks is an elegant and calm dining place, tonight it was not. Next time.

The long tables lined with bottles feel almost like a curated gallery, and the garage-style doors let in natural light that makes the whole place feel alive without being loud or overwhelming. What really stands out is how intentional everything feels, especially the wine list. It is handwritten on a large chalkboard, which gives it a relaxed, neighborhood vibe, but the selection is thoughtful and globally inspired. You will find a mix of Old World staples and boutique producers alongside well-chosen California options. The list includes everything from crisp Picpoul and Bordeaux Blanc blends to approachable Pinot Noir, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with more unique offerings like Loire Valley blends and Spanish varietals that show they are not just playing it safe. The pricing is another highlight. Most glasses land in the $9 to $15 range, which feels more than fair for the quality. They even offer a carafe option, about two and a half glasses, which is perfect for sharing and encourages you to settle in and enjoy the experience rather than rush through it. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a wine bar. It is relaxed, conversational, and effortlessly refined. It is the kind of place where you can catch up with friends, go on a date, or simply unwind and end up staying longer than you planned. What truly made our visit exceptional was our server, Kate. She went above and beyond in every way. She was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the wines, and genuinely warm in her approach. She made thoughtful recommendations, checked in at the right moments, and created an experience that felt personal rather than transactional. It is clear she cares about what she does, and it made a great environment feel even better. Black Rock Wine Co is not trying too hard, and that is exactly why it works. It is curated, welcoming, and just the right level of elevated. We will absolutely be back.

Brunch is all day on Sundays however they do have a lunch menu starting at 12pm, so we ordered from each menu. The ahi nachos were great, thick pieces of tuna and a great sauce drizzled over. When we arrived, every table was full, so we grabbed seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great spot to watch the bartenders create beautiful drinks, including some of their signature cocktails served in a glass purse for parties of two or more. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with groups celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. After looking over the menu, we decided on the lox crostini bites and the bruschetta. We each ordered a glass of sparkling wine. I added a chocolate rim to mine, which was fun to look at, although it didn't add much flavor. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching the flowing chocolate waterfall. Considering how busy the bar was, our food arrived quickly. The crostini were crisp, and both appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The only drawback was the volume of the DJ, but we knew what to expect as soon as we walked through the door. This is definitely a fun place for parties and groups looking for a lively night out. One last observation: I probably wouldn't choose this spot for a group of men. The décor and overall vibe are very much geared toward women, but the name says it all.

All three of us ordered a tasting flight and eat all shared a charcuterie board and a lobster roll. My flight was the Pinot Noir and I was very impressed! Each one was better than the last! The charcuterie board was amazing and something I'd definitely order again. The filling of the lobster roll was good but I wasn't a fan of the bread. Our server was prompt, personable, and so sweet, we enjoyed her very much! I love the different seating options and that you can look around at all the wines they have within the building.
