Tuna crudo

Absolutely 5 stars for Roxy's Piano Bar. Laleh was outstanding she went above and beyond with all of our requests and truly made the vibe perfect. The live piano music adds such a fun, elevated energy, and their epic happy hour (4:30-6:30) featuring an extensive martini list is a huge win. The food is fantastic we tried a little of everything, from raw oysters to tuna tartare with crispy rice, escargot, bread, and tuna crudo. And of course, the dirty martini was a standout. Love this spot and can't wait to come back.

Live music!

I love this martini bar! They have a martini for everyone! I brought my in-laws here this past weekend and we all had a great time. The live music is the cherry on top as they were playing hits from the 80's and 90's. Best place in town to imbibe and people watch.

We decided to try this restaurant for our 25th Anniversary due to its proximity to an event we were attending. The staff were exceptional, exceeding our expectations. The ambiance was romantic and even though the restaurant was at capacity, it wasn't loud. We had the tableside old fashioned as well as the espresso martini. My husband's prime rib cab was fantastic. However my entree (salmon) was not prepared correctly. After eating half of it, I realized it wasn't cooked through. I let the server know and he apologized, having the cooks prepare me another order. Unfortunately we were on a very tight schedule with our event starting. So I had to take it to go. I never really got to enjoy my dinner, after racing to our event and not having proper refrigeration for the Salmon... it had to be tossed. Other than my waisted dinner, the experience was good. I just wish I wasn't charged for my entree.

Another successful night with martinis! As I've said in the past, the martini list is extensive. I opted for a more classic martini and so did my friend. Very strong, very dry, but gets the job done. There's live music and it can get pretty busy on the weekends. I love sitting at the bar but Theres table seating as well. If you're in the lounge, you just walk right in. If you want dinner, you'll need to get a seat at the hostess stand

Went to Roxy's for a friends birthday and they did a great job! Food was great, we got a table side cocktails, sides and mains. Came out promptly too. I would say service for a steakhouse was a little underwhelming, it just felt like normal restaurant service.

Excellent choice for dinner in downtown Reno. Located inside the El Dorado casino. This restaurant is upscale without being ridiculously priced. I was there with a group and the staff was spectacular. Our food was prepared perfectly, came out all at the same time, and was extremely tasty. Their cocktail service is spectacular. Table side, smoky old-fashioned made to order. Table side crème brûlée martinis with candied sugar domes inside the glasses. Absolutely delicious, I could have drank a dozen of those things. Really an enjoyable meal and definitely someplace I would return to.

Hello Happy Hour & great vibes! Visited Roxy's this past weekend with a large group for happy hour and some apps. From the live pianist to the great deals on martini's ( wholly variety & options) to the stellar service (our waitress IRENE), I am baffled I hadn't actually been here sooner. I've stopped by for a quick drink years ago but never got this full experience of actually sitting down and enjoying it all. I had the French 75 martini and let me tell you -delish!. I loved that it was the perfect ratio of sweet/tart ( I am not a fan of super sweet drinks). I saw mushroom raviolis on there menu and had to try them! I have to be honest and say I've had better mushroom ravioli around town but they were still good! The sauce they come in was just a little to runny for my liking. However the flavor is there! Take some of the bread thet bring with it and dip it in that sauce! Let's talk about IRENE she was absolutely amazing, friendly, attentive and had the most amazing personality. We had a larger party than normal between 3 tables and her service literally did not waiver she was on point with getting everyone's drinks and food correctly and in such a timely manner I know the other staff have lots to do with this too so thanks to everyone. They have a great system flowing obviously. But Irene was also very personable with us and somehow with how busy she was still made time to interact and have conversations with us. I am so impressed by her because I know that a large party like us can get overwhelming. I couldn't wait to write this review to talk about her ( Thank you Irene). Make sure to check Roxy's out for your next happy hour and ask for Irene!

So, after dinner he wanted to take me to this fancy Fireside Lounge for drinks after dinner. It was hella hard to find, but we did finally. It's near the Italian place called Romanza. It's supposed to be like the old school fireplace lounges the Peppermill restaurants used to have. I don't think there's any Peppermill restaurants around anymore, just this casino. My friend told me all locals get 20% off at any of the restaurants, so that's kinds cool. Inside this lounge, it's really on the dark side and there's lots of soft puffy couches and love seats. If you wanted a dark booth to make out in, this is the place! There's nice seating around the gas fireplace if you want, but those seats go fast on busy nights. I thought the music was kinda loud, but that might just be me. I don't think there's much food served in here, just fancy drinks before the making out starts! They have there monster big bowl drinks to share like a Scorpion, I think full of rum and other stuff. That thing's gonna be a headache in the morning! It was fun staying for a round of drinks, we got one of the darker booths ... you know for making out! Check it out, if you can find the lounge!

A fun and unique way to sort cocktails. They also have a selection of beer on draft and wine. The drinks can also be made into mocktails- a win for our group since we had a few non-drinkers. The 1859 mocktail was great. Perfectly sweet with a small hit of miso flavor from the miso honey. Probably even better and more balanced with the whiskey! Others in my group enjoyed working their way through the many light, dark, and sour beers on tap. 1864 offers a classic, relaxed atmosphere and a great place to get a cocktail. The prices are reasonable, too. Definitely worth the visit.

What a major local gem in Reno. It only took one visit for…read moreme to become a fan of this coffee shop/bar in Midtown. You can tell that a lot of thought and heart went into the place. The decor, the entertainment, the products all struck a chord with me. On one side - a super cute pour over/loose leaf tea shop with some records for sale. On the other - a cute bar and lounge area equipped with a vinyl player (Bring one in on a Monday for them to play). You have some house pants, checkered floors, and cool vinyl covers all over the walls that make for some great & hip atmosphere and vibes. Their restrooms, though small, and clean and cool. Their pour overs are so flavorful, strong, and made with beans grounded on your visit. I love that they're flavored and sweetened in a way that allows the coffee to shine. If you're into sweeter drinks, ask for a bit more sweetner or add in a brown raw sugar packet yourself from the straw station. I hear their chocolate pour over is a hit. Matchas - prepared in a similar fashion. Slightly sweetned with subtle flavorings. I tried their carrot cake matcha today and really enjoyed the housemade syrup they used to flavor it with. I also love that they offer loose leaf teas. Their chai was nice, fragrant and great with a little sweetner and milk. Shelby over at the bar area was sooo patient with explaining their menu and suggested a isla bonita pineapple shrub drink for a non alcoholic option. Similar to their other drinks on the coffee side, it was tamed in sugar yet still fun and flavorful. I really enjoyed the tang from the apple cider and the spice from the tajin chili powder as a contrasting flavor. Double check their website for bar and coffee shop hours as they differ from one another. And follow them on Instagram for updates on seasonal specials & themed gatherings. A lot of cool local DJs spin here for special events and parties during the holidays. Tip: sit next to the pour over station next to the menu. It's so entertaining, especially with Sydney working the station (thanks so much for the chat and entertainment. Honestly one of the friendliest baristas I've ever met in Reno). Both bars are set up in a way that allows for meeting others and socializing. Check it out. It's a good time. Notes *Catch live jazz music on Wednesdays here for free. *free street & neighborhood parking *bagels & cream cheese available at the coffee shop *they have fun with their seasonal drink specials. I dig it.
