Came here as a family of 3 to enjoy dinner. I've been to many trips to Reno and each and every time, I noticed Roxy's Bar & Lounge but never had the chance to give them a try. With it being our final night in Reno, my BD made reservations to end things with a BANG! Just to start off with, lemme just take a moment to send a well deserved kudos to Alexandro [the bread guy]!! The sweet gentleman made his rounds to each table offering and serving deliciously baked bread- all with a warm smile and genuine care. Thank you for making our visit memorable and just know that your kindness did not go unnoticed. Robert was our server for the night and although things started off good, I couldn't help but feel like he was a little pushy. Robert started off by asking if we had dined with the Roxy before and I let him know this was our very first time. He proceeds to go over a few recommended items and jumped right into asking if we were ready to order. I asked for a bit more time where he left the table. He returns shortly and asks again if we were ready. I apologized and let him know that I am very indecisive and asked for more time. At this time, there was a slight shift in mood but he walked away. Okaaaaaaaay. The one thing we could have gone without was the chimichurri sauce- while it was not expensive, it was not good and could have been skipped. Got the ribeye and my wife got the halibut. Ribeye was perfectly cooked and halibut was delicious. There was live music which added to the ambiance. The reason I'm only giving three stars instead of 5 is the service was lacking. After receiving our initial drinks we didn't see the server again for 30 minutes. After that we were finally able to order and then didn't see our server again until we got our food. At one point a person in our party had to flag down another server so we could get refills on water. Would recommend for food but not for service. read more

Been 2-3 years since I've been here and felt the need to revisit. My first time was great and this was also great. Set a reservation and got seated within 5 mins. They had just open so it wasn't crowded or loud. Plenty of seating and the piano player by the entrance was playing music so it added a nice touch to ambience. Service was pretty top notch from the moment I was seated. I had a mocktail espresso notini. It was good and had strong kick which I liked. When bread service came around I got the bacon and cheddar bread twice...no regrets. For the salad I got the Roxy Caesar. It did come with an anchovie so just a heads up. It was crisp and tasty. I got a baked potato and the waitress mixed it up for me...thank you (I forgot her name, sorry). Then I had prime rib. After a weekend of bowling, it was my husband's Birthday so we decided to go to Roxy's. I hadn't been there forever and my friends were from out a town so it was a great choice for everyone! We had a couple bottles of Shiraz, the wine pair perfectly with my filet mignon. I ordered the garden salad to share. A little too weedy for my liking. My friend ordered the French onion soup and it was outstanding! For my side I got the mash potatoes so buttery and quite the delight. One thing I always remember about Roxy's is the bread! I've never had anything like it so it's memorable! The cheese, the bacon, the texture, the flavors just melt into your mouth. The waiter was great, and he was an asset to our Dinner Celebration. First time here and I can say it's really good. The ambience is great and it's way bigger inside than I thought. Our waitress was wonderful and extremely friendly and during the dessert time she hyped us up for a certain dessert and then realized that they were all out so she gave us a complimentary dessert of our choice which was so kind of her! On to the food, the rib eye was good but could be better, the mash potato purée was okay, the ahi appetizer was really good, the lobster style escargot definitely lacked flavor....it was super bland and the paella was massive and good. My wife and I had a wonderful date night at Roxy's. The drinks were spot-on--very tasty and made just right. We ordered the paella, and although it was a little pricey, it was definitely worth it. The flavor was wonderful, and it even came with lobster. What really made the evening special was the live music. They had a piano artist playing music from the '70s and '80s, and he did a fantastic job. The music, atmosphere, food, and drinks all came together for a classy and memorable evening. One of my favorite restaurants at The ROW! My family celebrated 3 birthdays this month at La Estrada, Ramsey's Kitchen and Roxy's and Roxy's took first place in my book! The food was so delicious and came out nice and hot, I love that they have fun cocktails and mocktails (gotta be inclusive), and multiple seating options (bar, high top, booth, regular table). Everyone at my table either got the salmon or the lamb chops, but no one was disappointed! The staff were super attentive, kind, and informative. No complaints there. She helped me with any questions I had with food I've been here numerous times when I come to town, but I've never had the food just came to drink. today I sat in the bar. I enjoyed life and had amazing conversation with people that I met the bartender was the only person bartending, but she rocked it. She did her job. She was kind and attentive. I never give 5 stars so that says a lot about our dining experience here. First of all loved the initial vibe of the dim lighting old school European design bistro style restaurant. Our server Lizzy was superb in every aspect, the martinis were divine, the seafood appetizers (escargot, raw oysters) fresh and delicious...the escargot was actually sinful. The bread... the homemade breads! Between the warm crusty/fluffy sourdough and the flavorful cheddar bacon bread it was a tie, yum. Then the wedge blue cheese salad that was generous to share was spot on with the cheese crumbles & bacon, wow. And lastly the Yukon potatoes sliced thin fried on duck fat served w/aoli. Could've have order a better combination to share as our meal?? I highly doubt it. Must addy hubby's lemon drop was the best ever and I really enjoyed my blood orange/campari cocktail was delicious as well. We decided to try this restaurant for our 25th Anniversary due to its proximity to an event we were attending. The staff were exceptional, exceeding our expectations. The ambiance was romantic and even though the restaurant was at capacity, it wasn't loud. We had the tableside old fashioned as well as the espresso martini. My husband's prime rib cab was fantastic. However my entree (salmon) was not prepared correctly. After eating half of it, I realized it wasn't cooked through. I let the server know and he apologized, having the cooks prepare me another order. Unfortunately we were on a very tight schedule with our event starting. So I had to take it to go. I never really got to enjoy my dinner, after racing to our event and not having proper refrigeration for the Salmon... it had to be tossed. Other than my waisted dinner, the experience was good. We went to Roxy's while in Reno for 24 hours before heading back to San Diego. The first thing we noticed is that the dining area has an old school charm to it that we really liked. The service was very good and our server was attentive and polite. My girlfriend and I both ordered steaks, I got the 10oz filet and she got the chef's cut which was a 14oz ribeye. We both enjoyed our steaks but the only negative was that they could have been seasoned a little better. They were cooked a perfect medium rare also. The highlight for me was the drinks,. From the live pianist to the great deals on martini's ( wholly variety & options) to the stellar service (our waitress IRENE), I am baffled I hadn't actually been here sooner. I've stopped by for a quick drink years ago but never got this full experience of actually sitting down and enjoying it all. I had the French 75 martini and let me tell you -delish!. I loved that it was the perfect ratio of sweet/tart ( I am not a fan of super sweet drinks). I saw mushroom raviolis on there menu and had to try them! I have to be honest and say I've had better mushroom ravioli around town but they were still good! The sauce they come in was just a little to runny for my liking. However the flavor is there! Take some of the bread thet bring with it and dip it in that sauce! Let's talk about IRENE she was absolutely amazing, friendly, attentive and had the most amazing personality. We had a larger party than normal between 3 tables and her service literally did not waiver she was on point with getting everyone's drinks and food correctly and in such a timely manner I know the other staff have lots to do with this too so thanks to everyone. They have a great system flowing obviously. But Irene was also very personable with us and somehow with how busy she was still made time to interact and have conversations with us. My friend and I were there the beginning of June, had 2 drinks each during happy hour, the waitress seemed to have an attitude maybe having a bad day idk. What made things worse, I paid with my credit card and we left a cash tip. 2 days later I get a notice that she wrote herself in a lovely tip doubling my bill. She was not worth a $50 tip + the $15 cash we left. Trying to get ahold of anybody at Roxy's was a joke, told to talk to the manager then the manager passed me off on to Caesar's accounting which was a joke to get ahold of, everyone passing the buck. Then dispute it with my credit card and there it was the receipt the submit with no signature. Fraud absolute fraud. Be careful going to this bar. They will take your money and not give it back. Their reason they gave in their dispute response was they didn't need a signature. So she can steal whatever she wants without a signature. read more

She was doing her best but she could not even come close to serving all of the people that were there. We had one round of martinis and had to leave as the service was SO slow. Not to mention they have also raised the happy hour prices as well. No one love Reno and Roxy's more than me but this was a HUGE disappointment as we have been coming here for years. Five of us ordered dinner and two different bottles of wine. After a long wait, the waiter said that the manager had to "unlock the wine cabinet" for a $65 bottle of wine. He clearly forgot it. They were out of one of the wines, so we said that we would just take the one for now and would get a second one after we finished it. We all ordered our food. When the waiter delivered it, he only had four of the five dinners. The waiter saw that I didn't get my food and left. I assumed that he was going back to the kitchen to get it. After a long wait, he came back and said that "he had three people watching for it to come out of the kitchen," and that it would be ready soon. By the time he finally came back to the table again, everyone else was done eating and the wine had been empty for quite a while. He still didn't bring my dinner and again said that he had "three people watching for it." We told him to cancel it and the second bottle of wine. He offered to give me the food to go, but I said no. We didn't pay for my dinner, and the manager comped the one bottle of wine that we did get, but I will not be coming back. read more

The bar and lounge serves an overflow for the Roxy restaurant and if they fully booked at the restaurant, they'll send you over to the bar/lounge. It is the same menu!
