First time at Terrace Lounge. I did like the open area and decorations of the place. We took a seat and the waitress came over pretty quickly since it was a weekday night. Live music was playing which was nice and added to the ambiance. We had a 2-for-1 cocktail coupon so we used that on a Dunkin' Fall cocktail and Yuzu Pineapple Paloma mocktail. I enjoyed my mocktail and the Dunkin' was strong. The drinks were expensive, but it's the casino. There were two times that we saw people smoking in the area - one person even brought their ashtray (?). I didn't like how the non-smoking area wasn't enforced. We visit Reno often and ALWAYS stay at the Peppermill. This bar was never one that "blew my skirt up" until yesterday. We had just arrived from a 7 Hour Drive and we were ready to relax and unwind. Devin is a newer bartender, and really made the experience something that begs you to return for more. He has such an amazing attitude, personality, and outgoing vibe that you just can't help but sit there and continue to visit and gamble and drink! He makes amazing drinks and serves them with class, for someone his age I find that very impressive. This was never my favorite go-to bar inside the Peppermill but sometimes late at night you just have to go check it out and see what's up. This was our third bar on a Friday night out, one drink at each place of course. We sat at a fairly comfortable booth and ordered a couple bourbons from their very large menu. My boy knows how to order his Manhattan's, I always order the wrong thing but we got my straight bourbon made into a Manhattan as well. We always have fun here chattin' and laughing away. They were VERY strict with COVID rules, I think we were told to "pull our masks up" about 20 times, oops, really sorry. This is a casino though and they have a lot to risk. Have you ever had a drink so shockingly bad that you, not only couldn't finish the drink, but were also so repulsed by said drink that you are compelled to leave the establishment entirely? I'm a huge fan of the ever-changing seasonally inspired selections on the menu, and the constantly expanding collection of unique, interesting, and hard to find whiskeys behind the bar. If there's something you've been dying to try in that category, the chances are high that Terrace Lounge has got it for you. Their new "Wall Of Whiskey", as I call it, houses bottels from the Buffalo Trace Antique Series, Parker Heritage Collection, A.H. Hirsch 25, and even Old Rip 25 (1/711 bottles in existence, if I'm not mistaken), along with many other bottles rare Japanese whisky and scotch. If you're a high roller, this is the bar for you to celebrate your wins or drown your losses, and if you're a whiskey fan on any level, this is the place to come and admire. Beyond the spirits themselves, Terrace also knows their cocktails. Ice is cut to specific glassware or matched to the drink their making, stirred cocktails are stirred while others are shaken, and every drink takes at least a few minutes to make, for very good reason. Nice place to relax and have a few drinks while the live band is playing. I was here during the snow storm, so I could not enjoy the outside patio which is right next to the pool. The waitress Denisee was really nice, and attentive. When the drinks got low, she was right there with a smile to offer another. The negative would be the cigarette smoke flowing our way from people at other tables. It was really hard to enjoy the relaxation and the vibe, since I do not smoke, nor like it being blown from different directions in my face. It would be great if they had a designated smoking area outside of the lounge. We noticed many other people were leaving as well, because of the smoke. Which means their losing business. read more

Atmosphere - The bar that sits next to all their convention space. I did not know this place had a name until the day before. It fits the Tuscan theme, but the group just did not feel the huge chandelier did. It is an interesting piece and gave us something to debate. They also had a musician playing, or should I say lounge lizard. A sharp dressed one, but did not care for the music but it was quite enough where you still could talk in the comfy benches they have. Food Drinks - I had a Pigeon Head IPL (India Pale Lager). A beer I have had many times as it is local. My husband and I stayed at the Peppermill for two nights and both nights we relaxing at the Terrace Lounge. I LOVE this place. It has a very cozy vibe. There was a jazz band from Chico that were playing some beautiful relaxing songs. They even let us chose some songs to play! My husband requested my favorite song by Sam Smith, "Dancing With a Stranger." They played it really well, that's exactly why we came back the next day. This bar itself has a lot of different varieties of mixed drinks, specialty drinks, and fancy cocktails. A lot of different types of whiskeys and bourbon to choose from. We ordered an old fashion and chose which type of bourbon we wanted. The bartender was a little misleading when it came to the price. She told us it would cost $10 for an old fashion plus $2 more to add whatever type of bourbon we wanted. (Of course I chose one that was good and pricy one.) but when she charged us for 2 drinks it was around $35 and that was including the buy one get one free cocktail coupon. The other thing she didn't mention to us after we ordered our drink was, the coupon limit was up to $15 dollars only. So it doesn't matter how much the drink cost they will only waive up to $15 only. I was a little unhappy about that, but I'm on vacation, I did not want to argue or let that ruin my night. Areas that face the hall and restaurant and an area facing the pool. The tinted windows are a little off color. I highly recommend the seats near Milton, I mean facing the stage to enjoy the view, I mean the performance. So there is seating that fits anyone's style. An enjoyable happy hour with small bites and special drinks with great prices. A lemon drop martini with great pucker power. The gaming is 5 cent minimum but it's spacer than the penny machines on the casino floor. Must better wine than you get in the main casino-unless your at the high roller slots/tables. Despite the terrible lighting that comes with just about every casino bar, The Terrace is a pretty cool spot. It's kind of off the beaten path of the main casino, so it's not always very busy, unless an event just got out in the ballroom across the way. There's a lot of seating and it varies from comfy couches and chairs to bar stools. Even after events, I've managed to find seats and a table for a group of people. And the servers are always quick to come get your order and bring your drinks. I did have a little snafu during the Whiskey Hunt last year, in which they wouldn't honor the full discount price on the Yelp Check-in offer (they claimed it was because live music was playing), but honestly it just wasn't worth my time to complain to someone to try to get a few bucks back.
