We stopped here one night to have a final drink and finish out our night. From the moment we entered the style and vibe of the place really stood. You could tell this is mostly a locals bar but bartenders were still nice and welcoming us newbies. This place is not too big outside but does have a nice outdoor area in front that I am sure fills up when weather is nicer. As the night went on the place got fuller but the vibe stayed cool and chill. The drinks were also very good. I got an old fashioned that was perfectly made and my wife had a Paloma that you could tell was made with fresh juice. The drinks were also reasonably priced for how good they were. If I ever find myself in that part of town I will not hesitate to stop by! read more

There are so many spots to sit and enjoy affordable and simple beverages across the cocktail and beer spectrum. The bar tenders are the real stars here. They make this place such a fun experience and are always up beat, friendly and really make this hidden spot feel welcoming. The Hideout may be off the beaten path but it's such neat place to stop, grab a beer, enjoy a marg or Bloody Mary and hang out. (And I say that as a good thing) There's a pool table and a large seating area. The front door area has a covered seating area which would be great for warmer months. The bar itself is huge and they stick just about every different liquor you could imagine. I'm looking forward to coming back again and spending more time. read more

Alcohol: Limited options for beers on tap, but that being said the variety of the few taps was enough to satisfy this picky drinker. They also have a good selection of specials for mixed drinks and shots which I appreciated as I never know what to order. All the mixed drinks and shots I got were A+ in my book. Location: This bar is crazy close to Reno Improv. If you are going to a show (which you absolutely should if you haven't already) you must come to this place right before or right after. We learned about this place from a bartender at sage leaf. We were at the sage leaf and I asked the bartender if he could make a black manhattan he said sure and I told him that this drink most bars don't make. So we got to talking and he said to try the hideout so my wife and I did. We are glad we did, great cocktails and a really good mellow vibe. We will be back soon read more

Service When you walk into the bar, you're already greeted by the bartender, no matter the amount of people inside the bar. Quick service when you walk up to the bar and very nice/helpful! Quickly became one of my favorite bars in Reno! It's tucked away a bit off of Wells, and to me that's part of the appeal. The bartenders are great and they serve everything from drafts to cocktails to Underbergs. My only complaint is they don't really seem to rotate their drafts much. Sundays during Football season are busy with a fun, high energy. There is a pool table inside which I love. They have a small outdoor area with a cute window that connects you to the bar! Was looking for a place to grab a drink when my friend said "hey have you heard of the hideout?". She'd heard about it from several people recently so we decided to check it out. While the outside isn't much to look at, the inside was very warm and inviting. Parking is minimal since there is construction across the street, but I got lucky :) Right away I could see there was a board on the far wall listing some drink specials. My friend and I opted for the $8 old fashioned. It did not disappoint! There were a few groups there as well, but plenty of seating still available. A former local spot with a whole new vibe and life breathed into it. This bar used to be a local favorite for a whole different genre and now it's had a facelift which puts its towards closer to a craft bar. They don't have a beverage gun here to sling out your favorite mixers. All of the mixers are pretty fresh coming from individual bottles. The bar is nice with seating for about a dozen people with the interior being inviting and cozy. They're just getting their new roots established but I think this place is gonna do some great things. They constantly have movies playing on the TVs (on mute with no subtitles). But it still adds some entertainment value to watch if you wanna just grab a beverage and zone out for a minute. The only major gripe is there is no jukebox and apparently the music is very heavily controlled which I think is kind of a weird move. The music isn't bad but it's certainly not a bar where you can go with a group of friends hoping to hear your favorite jams or set your own vibe if you're the only ones there. read more

Wish I had a picture! The little hole in the wall pub is newly remodeled from when it was previously owned. The ambiance is chill, warm lighting, cozy. Super cool. Drinks are ok. Mostly your typical bar beer and hard alcohol. From what I seen and asked for. Not a big selection on wine. There's a food truck out in front with seating to enjoy your food in the converted driveway to patio. I bet it's beautiful in the summer. There's a pool table and plenty of seating. All super close to one another... still, very cool hipster vibes. Also, I'd like to mention, the "bouncer" did his job. We're over 30 and he still checked everyone's ID. We decided to meet up with some friends for a couple drinks on a Friday afternoon. This location is a little tucked away, and you may have driven past it going to Aces games and not known it was there. They had a specials menu with lots of tasty sounding cocktails, I went with the Cucumber Lime Gimlet. It was so refreshing and tasty I ordered a second one instead of trying something else. The bartender was on her own and busy, but still attentive to everyone while bussing and bar backing all by herself. Hopefully as the night went on she got help! I just imagine it got busier after we left! It was loud in the bar, despite it not being too crowded. We were meeting with a fairly large group, so it was nice o be expected. If you are looking for something intimate to have a conversation, you would probably be fine at the bar if you can grab a couple stools. There is also a nice little outdoor area if you need to avoid some noise. I'll definitely be back for another Gimlet! read more

Great little spot off the beaten path near Wells and Mill area. Impressive top shelf selection from A-Z, staff was attentive, everything was clean - but of course everything is new. Have Hamm's on draft, so a cold Hamm's and a shot for $7 is decent. Quite a few speciality drinks if that's your gig, also have a few craft beers. Really like the outdoor seating out front.. not much a view and the construction across the street will be an issue I suspect. Now, what I see as the con.. of the 10-15 people in while I was, I was the only over 30 person , and the only one not in a Cartwright beanie. The point being I watched and observed what I perceived as a social spot, and not a whole lot of drinks being bought by anyone (except me). Those that were drinking definitely were not buying top shelf, and were all milking their drinks like a wall hanger at a strip club. I would consider changing the weekday hours to a lot earlier then 3 PM, this is an industry town, and there are lots of folks in that area that would like a drink at 6 AM (I type this review at Shea's at 530 AM). Seeing as they have no gaming or food, they are going to have to pour lots of drinks, or I don't see them lasting a year. They take credit cards, have an ATM, which was out of service. What an awesome atmosphere. Perfect little hideaway bar with incredible tenders and patrons. I just had the worst day doordashing where not a single person in 12 hours tipped (which is insane) and my last delivery was to here. The bartender Robert bought 12 pizzas and wings and extras for the whole bar AND tipped me ten bucks. I clocked out, had a couple pints and ate my fill on pizza. By far the coolest spot in Reno and by the looks the coolest place to watch a game...the place is littered with televisions. There isn't a nicer bartender than Robert if the dude was handing out handys at the end of your work day. At least he blew my mind. Can't wait to watch the next 9ers game there. Really fun atmosphere, but however the female bartender was slow as a sloth... I'm pretty sure she was drinking behind the bar/we saw her doing shots when we came in. When I asked why there was no cherry in my old fashioned she said her boss says no cherries. Drinks were okay, reasonably priced but the service was horrible.
