This time was to see the adults-only, 18+, 9 PM magic show called "Nocturnal" The vibes here on a Saturday night were great! It was a busy show, and the bar was packed! The drinks here are so fun. Their specialty cocktail menu has lots of magic-inspired cocktails, plus they have a full bar with beer, wine, soft drinks, and other beverage choices. You can bring all beverages into the theatre while watching the show, which is great! They do have some small snack options, but the food isn't anything special, and I'd recommend eating before or after the show. The Nocturnal show was great. The comedy is hilarious, and Chase is a great performer. The dances from the showgirls in this show are much more risque, with lots of skin showing and lingerie. Some of the illusions and tricks are carried over from the "That's Magic!" show, but there are also some tricks that I hadn't seen before. The value is pretty good. It's about $40 per ticket for a non-obstructed seat. Unfortunately, this venue has a large pillar in the center aisle, making some seats cheaper "obstructed view seats". There is a locals discount and a discount if you are staying at the GSR. Like most magic shows, I think this show is a one-and-done. It's worth going again if you really want to bring family or friends, but otherwise just spend the money to see "That's Magic!" and "Nocturnal" each once. They are both worth it! I am disappointed in myself for not taking photos, though in my defense, there are no photos or videos allowed during the show!

Every night, they host "that's magic", which is a family, friendly illusion, and variety show, and then also on Friday and Saturday, they host their late show "nocturnal", which also has amazing illusions, as well as more adult humor, and some very beautiful dancers. Both are hosted by the husband and wife, duo of Chase and. Kayleigh. I saw the "nocturnal" show, and I loved it. . Chase is the MC, and he also does illusions from slieight of hand, to illusions such as cutting a woman from the audience in half without a box, and a great straitjacket, escape, ala, Harry Houdini. The jokes are fast and furious, and definitely adult oriented, there is a lot of interaction with the audience, and bringing audience members on stage. There's never a dull moment. The dancers are beautiful, and yes, a little provocative, but definitely not dirty. The show never slows down. It's a 90 minute show with a 15 minute intermission, and it's entertaining from the beginning until the end. The price for the show is very reasonable, but they get you with both the cocktails, and the snack bar for the theater. I bought a small thing of popcorn, and a 20 ounce soda, and I was out 16 bucks. But for those in the know, all you have to do is ask for the good stuff and they will pour it for you, and they do have the good stuff. Full disclosure, they are a whiskey bar first and foremost, so they have more of that than anything else, but just to name a few others, they do have DonQ rum and Don Julio tequila so unless you are a high maintenance drinker, you can find what you are looking for. It is also worth noting that they bill themselves as a craft cocktail bar, which means they can and will make you a very nice mixed drink, speaking of the high maintenance among us. There are pool tables and leagues are a regular thing here as well as a nice little William Hill sportsbook in the corner. It closes early though, so keep that in mind. There are no less than a dozen beers on tap at any given time as well as several bottle and can options. Plenty of TV's above the bar and Direct TV, so they get almost anything you are looking for. The bar slots seem to be pretty loose most of the time and although I rarely play video Keno, I have seen many people cash out hundreds of dollars on a fairly regular basis playing it. Now for the bad...It is a truck stop bar and that in itself is not a bad thing, but sometimes, well...Truckers can be a lot to take in. Also, you will come home smelling like smoke. Otherwise, stop by if you are in the 'hood and take a look for yourself. Good place to pregame. If nothing else, check out the gun collection throughout the casino and bar, it is worth the trip alone.

I am a professional bar fly and I wouldn't step foot in that place. It went from a grungy bar to a biker bar to an ECV bar. It is currently under new ownership and looking to change that reputation a bit. My husband and I ventured in this weekend to see if it is turning around and it does appear to be doing so, slowly but surely. The entire place seems cleaner and the lighting seemed brighter although still appropriate for a bar. The demographic of the clientele is improving and the bar staff as friendly and attentive. They had a country bad playing when we went and the sound quality was great. Not to quiet yet not overpowering. Drink prices are not bad. They have two pool tables that were in use and quiet a few tables with chairs facing the stage most of which were also in use. The bar itself is pretty long with what I would guess is about 15 seats or so. My biggest gripe about the place is and always has been that they don't have any windows. It feels like you are drinking in a closed up room which you are but it makes it really easy to loose track of time, but I guess that really boils down to personal responsibility. We did notice that the front door as a window now, which is nice. I think new ownership can continue to turn the place around and I look forward to popping in every once and awhile and checking out the changes and increasing stars!
