Espresso notini
Edward B.

Been 2-3 years since I've been here and felt the need to revisit. My first time was great and this was also great. Set a reservation and got seated within 5 mins. They had just open so it wasn't crowded or loud. Plenty of seating and the piano player by the entrance was playing music so it added a nice touch to ambience. Service was pretty top notch from the moment I was seated. I had a mocktail espresso notini. It was good and had strong kick which I liked. When bread service came around I got the bacon and cheddar bread twice...no regrets. For the salad I got the Roxy Caesar. It did come with an anchovie so just a heads up. It was crisp and tasty. I got a baked potato and the waitress mixed it up for me...thank you (I forgot her name, sorry). Then I had prime rib. Now it was cooked the way I wanted but wasn't expecting to take up the whole plate lol! Definitely would recommend and I will be revisiting in the future

After a weekend of bowling, it was my husband's Birthday so we decided to go to Roxy's. I hadn't been there forever and my friends were from out a town so it was a great choice for everyone! We had a couple bottles of Shiraz, the wine pair perfectly with my filet mignon. I ordered the garden salad to share. A little too weedy for my liking. My friend ordered the French onion soup and it was outstanding! For my side I got the mash potatoes so buttery and quite the delight. One thing I always remember about Roxy's is the bread! I've never had anything like it so it's memorable! The cheese, the bacon, the texture, the flavors just melt into your mouth. The waiter was great, and he was an asset to our Dinner Celebration. You can self park or valet for easy access downtown. The waiter brought my husband ice cream and sang Happy Birthday it was a fantastic time!

We haven't had service this good in years. 16 of us were served at the same time and all 16 loved their food. A few had old fashions made at the table and enjoyed them. We can't wait to go back, highly recommend!

Absolutely 5 stars for Roxy's Piano Bar. Laleh was outstanding she went above and beyond with all of our requests and truly made the vibe perfect. The live piano music adds such a fun, elevated energy, and their epic happy hour (4:30-6:30) featuring an extensive martini list is a huge win. The food is fantastic we tried a little of everything, from raw oysters to tuna tartare with crispy rice, escargot, bread, and tuna crudo. And of course, the dirty martini was a standout. Love this spot and can't wait to come back.

First time here and I can say it's really good. The ambience is great and it's way bigger inside than I thought. Our waitress was wonderful and extremely friendly and during the dessert time she hyped us up for a certain dessert and then realized that they were all out so she gave us a complimentary dessert of our choice which was so kind of her! On to the food, the rib eye was good but could be better, the mash potato purée was okay, the ahi appetizer was really good, the lobster style escargot definitely lacked flavor....it was super bland and the paella was massive and good. Overall we had a good time and will be back to try more items.

OK, I'm so sorry that I forgot the young girls name the bartender, but it started with the L let me just say phenomenal service not only was it peak busy. She was so amazing and she was multitasking. She helped me with any questions I had with food I've been here numerous times when I come to town, but I've never had the food just came to drink. today I sat in the bar. I enjoyed life and had amazing conversation with people that I met the bartender was the only person bartending, but she rocked it. She did her job. She was kind and attentive. The food was definitely amazing. I had the truffle raviolis with the cheese bread. Oh my God can I just say I will be Back love this place. I love the entertainment. I love the piano bar. I did eventually maneuver over to the area where the piano was because the music was so appealing great ambience amazing food outstanding customer service. Keep it up Roxy.

I love this martini bar! They have a martini for everyone! I brought my in-laws here this past weekend and we all had a great time. The live music is the cherry on top as they were playing hits from the 80's and 90's. Best place in town to imbibe and people watch.

Loving the live piano singer music and delicious cocktails! Chocolate-raspberry & Blood orange martinis! Woohoo

I never give 5 stars so that says a lot about our dining experience here. First of all loved the initial vibe of the dim lighting old school European design bistro style restaurant. Our server Lizzy was superb in every aspect, the martinis were divine, the seafood appetizers (escargot, raw oysters) fresh and delicious...the escargot was actually sinful. The bread... the homemade breads! Between the warm crusty/fluffy sourdough and the flavorful cheddar bacon bread it was a tie, yum. Then the wedge blue cheese salad that was generous to share was spot on with the cheese crumbles & bacon, wow. And lastly the Yukon potatoes sliced thin fried on duck fat served w/aoli. Could've have order a better combination to share as our meal?? I highly doubt it. Must addy hubby's lemon drop was the best ever and I really enjoyed my blood orange/campari cocktail was delicious as well. I must highlight too that the piano/singer was thoroughly enjoyable enhancing the overall experience. It was our last meal in Reno and for sure the clear favorite of our 5 day trip!!

We decided to try this restaurant for our 25th Anniversary due to its proximity to an event we were attending. The staff were exceptional, exceeding our expectations. The ambiance was romantic and even though the restaurant was at capacity, it wasn't loud. We had the tableside old fashioned as well as the espresso martini. My husband's prime rib cab was fantastic. However my entree (salmon) was not prepared correctly. After eating half of it, I realized it wasn't cooked through. I let the server know and he apologized, having the cooks prepare me another order. Unfortunately we were on a very tight schedule with our event starting. So I had to take it to go. I never really got to enjoy my dinner, after racing to our event and not having proper refrigeration for the Salmon... it had to be tossed. Other than my waisted dinner, the experience was good. I just wish I wasn't charged for my entree.

We went to Roxy's while in Reno for 24 hours before heading back to San Diego. The first thing we noticed is that the dining area has an old school charm to it that we really liked. The service was very good and our server was attentive and polite. My girlfriend and I both ordered steaks, I got the 10oz filet and she got the chef's cut which was a 14oz ribeye. We both enjoyed our steaks but the only negative was that they could have been seasoned a little better. They were cooked a perfect medium rare also. The highlight for me was the drinks,. They did a table side old fashioned that was one of the best drinks I've ever had and definitely recommend it and I would come back here for that drink alone!

Another successful night with martinis! As I've said in the past, the martini list is extensive. I opted for a more classic martini and so did my friend. Very strong, very dry, but gets the job done. There's live music and it can get pretty busy on the weekends. I love sitting at the bar but Theres table seating as well. If you're in the lounge, you just walk right in. If you want dinner, you'll need to get a seat at the hostess stand

Went to Roxy's for a friends birthday and they did a great job! Food was great, we got a table side cocktails, sides and mains. Came out promptly too. I would say service for a steakhouse was a little underwhelming, it just felt like normal restaurant service.

Excellent choice for dinner in downtown Reno. Located inside the El Dorado casino. This restaurant is upscale without being ridiculously priced. I was there with a group and the staff was spectacular. Our food was prepared perfectly, came out all at the same time, and was extremely tasty. Their cocktail service is spectacular. Table side, smoky old-fashioned made to order. Table side crème brûlée martinis with candied sugar domes inside the glasses. Absolutely delicious, I could have drank a dozen of those things. Really an enjoyable meal and definitely someplace I would return to.

We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Saturday. The joint was nearly empty aside from a couple at the bar. Plenty of seating for our large group in the large, comfy couches. They also have cool built-in seating around the perimeter of the bar, though not nearly as comfortable as the vintage furniture. The menu is sorted by glass type. A fun and unique way to sort cocktails. They also have a selection of beer on draft and wine. The drinks can also be made into mocktails- a win for our group since we had a few non-drinkers. The 1859 mocktail was great. Perfectly sweet with a small hit of miso flavor from the miso honey. Probably even better and more balanced with the whiskey! Others in my group enjoyed working their way through the many light, dark, and sour beers on tap. 1864 offers a classic, relaxed atmosphere and a great place to get a cocktail. The prices are reasonable, too. Definitely worth the visit.

My favorite place to get a cocktail in Reno…read more They have a unique "Old Fashioned" with buffalo trace bourbon, moroccan sugar, coconut, tobacco bitters, dehydrated pineapple. It really does not taste anything like an "old fashioned" but it's very good and my usual go-to. Ambiance is cool. Has a very Edgar Alan Poe vibe mixed with an alchemist/speakeasy. Love the quality of the drinks as they absolutely put effort and time making quality drinks with quality ingredients. It's relatively small inside so I can only imagine it could get packed in there. We had several drinks and every single one was perfection! The bathroom is the cutest and they have the coolest speakeasy door that the employees use to get to the back (not for the customers). My rant..I'm not from the area so I had NO idea what this place was when I walked by. It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. I walked inside and instantly got the death glare from an employee. I instantly said omg I take it this place isn't kid friendly.. he rudely said no. I wanted to clarify and confirm even outside ? He said no. I apologized and they left but the vibe and way he said it was definitely off putting. My sister and I decided to stay for a drink while my husband/child went to walk around. Usually I don't give bad costumer service a chance.. but I realllllllly wanted a drink that one of those others customers were drinking. If this place had better costumer service. It would be a 5

The DJ was so awesome and was playing some very nostalgic mixes that brought back great memories. We've had so many amazing flavor combinations of Sheesha from Hookava, but we had to go with Gummy Worm this time. It has always been a favorite, and it's a good first introduction to Hookah for those who haven't tried it yet. Another favorite flavor is Blueberry Muffin, and also Spiced Chai by Fumari. Also I highly suggest getting an ice tip for a more smooth and cooling sensation while smoking. Every Tuesday is free ice tip day, otherwise $5 regularly which, is still very worth it. The incredibly fun and unique staff have always been phenomenal in so many ways. They are wicked fast in everything they do, and deeply knowledgeable in giving recommendations for flavor combos and drinks. Definitely my number one for Hookah in Reno.
