What's not to love? Wine, friendly atmosphere and a short skip and a jump from home (ah the perks of living downtown) I have been coming here for years with various owners/managers and signage. This one really hits all the marks. Steve is knowledgable, personable, and really non-snobby and helpful in matching your tastes and preferences with the HUGE selection of wines he has in stock. I really like that he specializes in small vineyard wines from all over the world. It is a great opportunity to try some varietals that are not as familiar - so really gives you the opportunity to move beyond your regular Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, or Rosé. It is a friendly spot to come in for just a glass or two, to get a bottle to have with the amazing food from Thali or Pizza Collective, or to get a bottle to go to drink in the privacy of your own home. Highly recommended!

Amazing wine and chip pairing. Wines were so good I had to take a few home. Knowledgeable and friendly team here. We can't wait to come back!

Definitely stop here. We were in town for a quick visit and I entered "wine bar" into yelp and this was one of the top picks. The wine selection is better than we've seen at most places, selections from Slovenia, Germany, all the way to California. We asked for a recommendation and loved the Pinot Eric chose for us. We loved it so much we also bought a bottle to go. The atmosphere is very chill and the bar is attached to a handful of restaurants ranging from Mexican, Greek and Pizza, all of which will deliver to you in the wine bar. I can't say enough good things about this place, just go check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome place to stop for some wine. I only saw 1 name I recognized. I shared a bottle of Morgan Chardonnay with a friend and it was very good! I'll definitely go back. Nice little place to spend sometime and have a chat or just meet new people.

What's not 5-star about a wine (ok & beer) bar/bottle shop between where I work and where I live? Thanks to COVID the hours are flexible. Call and double check before you go out. Contrary to some websites they are open. They have a nice mix of wines by the glass and by the bottle. Glasses can get spendy so opt for the bottle and you can get a doggy bag if you can't finish. Yes the place is small but since they are in the West Street Market you can sit in the common area or outside if the weather is fair. Currently, thanks to Covid they are spaced out and they cleaned in between costumers. Also just wear the mask till the wine is served. No need to give people a hard time about it they're just trying to stay open!!! They have a beer selection but I don't know from beer. If you get peckish you can order from Nom, Pizza Collective or Thali. Just put on your mask. Walk over to any counter. Order. Pay. And they will deliver to the wine bar. The guy behind the bar (sorry I've known him for years but I forget his name) is formerly from Sterling's so he knows his wine and delivers great service. You can also grab and go a bottle of you don't want to sit at the bar.

Great cosy wine bar in the middle of downtown Reno. Steve is extremely knowledgeable and down to earth when describing the wines wether you're a connaisseur or a rookie. We ordered the 2017 Les Pallieres Gigondas. $48. Great price for such a delicious and complex wine. It's basically a "cheaper" châteauneuf-du-pape. We took the bottle outside and ordered a pizza. Cherry on the cake even after paying and going outside Steve took the time to come check on us. THAT is service and THAT is caring. Thanks Steve. We will be back!

Intimate setting in the middle of a rather busy food co-op. They have a great variety of wine, beer and cider with cozy tables and a bar space. The pricing is reasonable and it's rather trendy in the heart of downtown

Love this wine bar. Great wine selection - we usually get a bottle to share and order food from one of the neighboring restaurants (they will deliver it to the wine bar). Great service and knowledgeable staff!

It's good to have connections at other wine stores/shops who are also in the industry. All the varietals of wine were wonderful and they definitely have potential. On e set back was that it was a bit confusing looking over the three menus they offer. I couldn't figure out if it was three wineries or one, but apparently it's like, three in one? Saw Mike again last night while I was at work at Whispering Vine and he mentioned Great Basin just barreled up some wine into Frey Ranch bourbon barrels. Go try them out, you will love it! Ask to see Mike :)

They educated us about each wine sampling, offering us a 2nd tasting if we wanted. I loved the bubbly the most. Some of the reds were good but not to my liking (but hey, viva la difference, yes?) We were in a private back room with plenty of seating for everyone and very festive. Overall, the wine, snacks (altho I wasn't quite sure if our hosts or the winery provide the food) were very good.

We immediately called to see if we could reschedule as we know we would be back. They said we could come another day. Yay! We decided to go back when there wasn't a blizzard. Lol. We also upgraded our experience from smores & fireplace outdoors, to a YURT! Best decision ever & it was our BEST winery experience ever! It was just perfect & magical! The yurt had 2 heaters, but we quickly turned one off. It wAs equipped with blankets & pillows! It was so cozy feeling. Our table was so nicely decorated, like out of a magazine! The experience came with a charcuterie board and 5 wine tastings. Everything was so good! Not a fan of White wine, but it's something about high elevation wineries...makes white taste yummy! Ambiance was cozy, without the cold snow! We absolutely loved everything about it & we are super happy we booked it! This is a must to visit in Truckee!

It's great how local businesses pair up with each other to be full service. The bar seating was full, but we sat at a cute smaller table, until another friend arrived and went to the bigger middle table. I like the tables amongst the wine look and it does actually create some privacy. It was quite busy due to the holidays. At one point there was only one server so it was slower because people were coming to get their gifts. When the other came back from break it helped. I think staffing is hard for a lot of businesses. Price wise, flights and cocktails are reasonable for the quality and size. Some of the bottles to purchase are better than grocery store prices and there are different sales. I definitely recommend considering stopping in for your wine purchase.

When my buddy and his wife came into town for his birthday, it felt like the perfect excuse to finally make the trip. Spoiler: it did not disappoint. We arrived just after opening at 2pm and were immediately struck by the building -- it's genuinely beautiful, the kind of space that sets the tone before you've even had a drink. We were greeted by Ryan, who was professional, warm, and clearly passionate about what he does. The tour itself was one of the best I've been on. Ryan packed it with information -- not just about the distillery's process, but about the history of Minden and the Gardnerville area. It was engaging, educational, and genuinely fun. I walked away with stories and facts I'm still repeating to anyone who will listen. Our tasting covered four pours: vodka, single barrel, bourbon, and the Goodnight Bourbon. The regular bourbon lived up to everything that put this distillery on my map in the first place. But the real surprise of the day? The gin. I'll be honest -- I wasn't expecting much. But this gin is unlike anything I've tasted. It has earned a permanent spot in my home bar for those occasional gin martini nights. And if you have any love for espresso martinis, do yourself a favor and pick up a bottle of their coffee liqueur. It's exceptional. After the tasting, our group headed upstairs to the bar -- which, by the way, is open to everyone, no tour required. We ordered an espresso martini, a gin martini, and a meringue-tini. Each one was distinct and impressive in its own right. The bar staff couldn't have been better -- they had a real knack for highlighting each spirit in a way that spoke directly to your taste buds. It was the perfect way to close out the afternoon. Minden Mill is the kind of place that checks every box: great craft spirits, a stunning venue, an informative and entertaining tour, and a bar that keeps the good times going. Highly recommend making the trip. And when you go -- ask for Ryan.
