We were fortunate enough to meet Jenna, their sommelier, and Joe, the co-founder, while we were there and got an extensive education in their unique wines made from grapes that can are designed to grow at high elevations with rough environments. The hybrid grapes make for distinctive flavors that are delightful to sip on. I loved the La Crosse (white) and the St. Croix (red). For those not into beer (like me), this is a great wine lovers oasis in the Reno Brewery District, and the opportunity to experience something uniquely RenoTahoe. They have limited snack options for purchase but allow you to bring in your own snacks as well. Finally, the space. It is on the smaller size but we were able to fit our group in without issues, while still leaving some open tables for other patrons. They also provide service on a handful of outdoor tables. The space isn't huge, so the events are limited to 30 people. Just right to get star treatment from everyone. No pretentious wine snobs or chefs, everyone discussing the highlights of the food and wine. Besides the dinners, Archive has also been hosting blind tastings and other fun wine discovery night. Street parking is limited. There is a parking ramp just around the corner that is easy to use.

So we end up paying $1000 for the weekend cause they are now not booking just sat to sun in order for us to book we have to book a entire weekend so anyway we pull up and valet is 45 min long but it's fine we wait and just cause it's under my husbands name but my card and my name on the extra person I can't check us in so I have to wait for him to go through valet. Some guy in big old truck by passes everyone and says I don't wanna wait in that line so I'm gonna just give you cash the valet guy says to me we will do anything for cash who cares about the line ????? So than we get to the front to check in and she says yes we can't honor your free rooms when we are almost booked I said you are always booked every weekend and they said well we have events going on and they bring us in more money than you normal people so we prefer them ummm wtf who say that to people checking into your hotel. Now we finally get our room and guess what she wrote the wrong number down so we have to go all the way back down and get the right room wrote on our paper and new keys I just can't with how we have been talked to and treated and them can't even get our room number wrote down right ‍ don't worry we're going me everything fine but this place needs to get shit together

We got to choose between staying on the 3rd floor (spa/gym floor) or a higher floor, and we chose for the higher floor which had a decent view. The casino seemed older than others we been to, but it seemed the hotel portion was updated. There were several elevators we could use, and it was nice that it was a clear glass elevator so you could see out. We did not hang out at the casino, but it also seems a bit older. You can definitely smell the smoke in here. We only tried the Purple Parrot for dining and it was solid. There seemed to be a seafood restaurant and it smelled quite fishy in that area. They have an arcade on the second floor for kids. We ended up finding several machines that were broken so we got some free play out of it, which was fun. The arcade seems to be open 24/7 but redeeming rewards may be during limited hours. The spa was great! The gym area was also pretty good as well, many machines to use. They also have yoga mats to use, but my only critique is there is not much space to lay your yoga mat in without feeling like you're in someone's way. However, the gym was not very busy at all in the morning time when I went. In the gym, they had a water refill station, towels, and fruit offered. Remember to bring your hotel card because they will ask that it's scanned at the entrance. Service was friendly at the front desk at check in and check out. We also requested some more makeup wipes from the house staff and they provided extra with no questions asked. Overall, it was a solid experience staying at Atlantis!

My cousins picked this location because they are members of a group who used this chain of hotels and casinos often. I personally am not attracted to gambling , so I don't frequent this type of hotel. As I said the rooms were nice, but this hotel caters to the gambling crowd. My cousins got their rooms on comp, because they gamble here so often and that is great, but if you are not a heavy gambler and you are not getting a free room I cannot recommend the Atlantis.

What a nice place to hold an event! Everyone I met with the Sierra Arts foundation was so helpful having a fun time working the event. Many great Artists as well as beer and spirits vendors were there! Although we like beer, we also went to taste a great product from Long Drink. So different and very nice. The comedian was good and the music awesome! We had a hot dog, that was very large, fat and juicy!! Not your average hot dog! A very good choice! Yum! The artists are so talented! We went home with a couple of purchases, but wish we could have gone home with so many more! The Golden Nugget and especially the Sierra Arts Foundation did a wonderful job! I have never been in a room at the Eldorado but I can certainly talk about the casino, eats, and…read morecondition of the place. Over 50 years ago the Eldorado opened. There was no "Row" and there was a whole lot more coemption back then. Harrah's, Harolds Club, Mapes, Silver Spur and others. There was a grocery store where the Silver Legacy now sits, and the Eldorado was a standalone offering. Given its age and how many casinos have come and gone since they opened, the property is well maintained and seems to keep with the times. The buffet was the last one in downtown with high-quality food (sad loss). What remains of the food choices is solid including the amazing coffee and freshest pastry shop, they are worthy competitors for the area. The Row concept has really kept the Eldorado a viable choice for visitors because they essentially get 3 very different casinos for the price of 1 under one continuous roof, all with free parking. Don't forget the many downtown events that they sponsor or are very involved with. The 44th Great Italian Festival is coming up October 10 & 11th in 2026. It is typically the 2nd weekend in October annually.

Gayle, Jim, Marti, and I took this most enjoyable walking tour yesterday on a nice warm Sunday…read moreafternoon. The tour started with the lower level of the Renaissance Hotel (who provided water and a snack) for a introduction, a historical set-up (in costume) and fun "throw the cards" warm-up. Once outside (fully masked) and "on the road", our tour stops included the old Post Office/West Elm, the Reno Courthouse, the Virginia Street Bridge, Space Whale/Site of old Mapes Hotel, Old Riverside Hotel, one of Reno's historic old Alleys, and Belle Island. In between were stories of hangings, rings thrown from the bridge, missing person/mob hits, possible prohibition liquor runs through alleged tunnels, and of course the church where the finale of Sister Act was filmed. There were also magic tricks, bad jokes, a look up in the sky gag for tour add-ons, a fake birthday song tribute to a surprised restaurant patron, and a very enjoyable and interactive outdoor experience. The expedition ended back at the hotel with a ring magic trick, a bit historical letter reveal, and appreciation for a job well done. This expedition actually left me with wanting more in terms of local historical tidbits and stories. Maybe sometime post-COVID, a longer and smaller attended walking tour would be "in the cards". In the meantime, please buy a ticket to the Weird Reno walking tour and thank you Kalin, Jinger, Jacques, and family for a bringing a little welcome joy to such a challenging time. True magic from beginning to end! Very interactive with the…read moreaudience and I know some of us left wondering- how did they do that? I like how they integrated past, present and future. It was nice to experience something new and much needed in a long time. I definitely recommend getting tickets. We were laughing throughout the tour. So much history of which I learned about that I had no idea.., which left me truly inspired. I'll keep an eye out as I overheard there would be special events around Halloween and the holidays yay! It was a great Saturday in which we were enchanted, outdoors and walking triple points. Even celebrating someone's birthday! If I have friends come from out of town I'll be sure to let them know to check out Weird Reno!
