Ben Nemzer was amazing at Mad Hatter. Great show and he was so funny! I loved it.

This is a very long overdue review that's been in my "review draft" way too long. We were going to the rodeo and arrived super early. We came in to check out the slot machines and the hotel. Full disclosure, we did not stay the night here. It's a beautiful place with many amenities. Hotel, restaurants, casino, shows, spas, and much more!! As far as restaurants go, Ramsey's Kitchen and Gordon Ramsey Fish and Chips if you're a Gordon Ramsey fan! Cafe Central, SIPS Coffee and Tea, Sushi Sake, Panda Express, Starbucks, Brew Brothers, Roxy Restaurant, and much more! Overall, we had a great time! There were so many people coming and going. Employees trying to keep up with the crowds. We will be back for another outing experience! read more

Eldorado Reno - Casinos Near Me - Reno, Nevada

I made a reservation at El Dorado in Reno back in June 2025 for a three-night stay (Tuesday-Thursday, checking out Friday) in April 2026. After nearly 10 months of planning, I expected the basics to be handled correctly. When we checked in, we were given a double room instead of the King room we reserved. I went back to the front desk and was told that because they were oversold for Thursday night, there was no way to move us into a King room at all during our stay. That explanation didn't make much sense--they confirmed they had King rooms available Tuesday and Wednesday, but because of the Thursday overbooking, they couldn't honor the reservation for any of the nights. So even though I booked months in advance and had already arrived, I was effectively bumped in favor of guests who hadn't even checked in yet. To make matters worse, only 2 out of 5 elevators were working the entire stay, which led to long waits (up to 20 minutes to get down in the morning) and added frustration. After the fact, I looked through other reviews and saw that this seems to be an ongoing issue, not a one-off situation. Between the reservation not being honored and the operational problems, it was a pretty disappointing experience overall. Skip this place. read more

Status is nice. You have to work for it, but once you get it, it's nice. I have diamond status through Wyndham, and Caesars matches it. With diamond status at Caesars, , you get things such as no resort fee, free, valet, parking, complementary, or low cost upgrades if available, and free parking at properties that charge for parking. (Vegas... Tahoe...). I was in Reno on a Thursday night, and I found a room at the El Dorado for a very reasonable price. Even with the resort fee, it would've been a reasonable price, but it was nice not to have to pay it. I dropped off my car, they picked up my bags for me, held them until I was in my room, and then brought them up to my room for me. I am staying next-door at the Silver Legacy on Friday night, they picked up my bags for me out of my room, held them for me, and will bring them next door when I am in my new room. When I checked in, I asked if an upgrade was available. She said, yes, no charge. I figured I was just going to get a nicer room on a higher floor. Imagine my surprise, when I opened the door, and walked into a spa suite. That was very nice of them. The room was on the 14th floor, and it overlooked... The bowling stadium. Not much to see during the daytime, but at night time, when all the city lights came on, and in the morning when the sun came up it was very pretty. The room was very large. It was an older room, there were a few scuffs and scrapes here and there, but that is just cosmetic. Everything in the room was spotless. The shower is decent sized, , but it doesn't have a bathmat or a grab bar, so you need to be just a little bit more careful. There's a fridge and a Keurig, but not a microwave, the TV gets a great picture, and it also has movies available for rent, including "naughty" movies. If you are not into that, or if you are traveling with kids, you have the option of blocking those. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a good night sleep. The Wi-Fi was OK, fast enough to stream video, but it did cut out a couple of times. Nothing major. The star of that room was definitely that Jacuzzi spa tub. It does take quite a while to fill up, it took well over a half hour to fill up. So if you want to use it, that's something you need to consider. Once it was full, I turned on the jets, and I soaked in that thing for between a half hour to 45 minutes. It was heavenly. I had been on the road for almost a week, and my back was bothering me, and this just did wonders for it. Even if you have to pay for this suite, it is definitely worth the splurge. It's a great property. The El Dorado, the silver legacy, and Circus Circus are all Caesars properties, and they are all connected. So you can walk between the properties without ever stepping outside. Lots of shopping, gaming, entertainment, bars with different themes, and lots of different places to eat, ranging from Ruth's Chris on the high-end, to the Circus Circus food court on the lower end. ("the habit" burger place in the food court was definitely the lower end... ). The El Dorado used to have an awesome buffet, but it is no longer there. I was going to have dinner at the brew Brothers. Back before I retired from drinking, I remember their "big dog ale." It's a great beer, and they still have it. Unfortunately, my two favorite items on the menu the burnt ends and the meatloaf, are no longer on the menu. So I just went elsewhere for dinner. Overall, a great day. Thanks. read more

Overall, I do like the Eldorado Resort Casino, and our stay was alright, though we did encounter a few hiccups. Since our room was comped, the value was great, but it definitely felt like one of their older rooms. My main safety concern was the lack of a secondary door latch, which most hotel rooms usually have; because it didn't have one, my son kept repeatedly opening the door and needed constant reminders to stop. Additionally, right before bed, the TV/remote setup wasn't working when we tried to put on a movie. I called down to the front desk and spoke with Annette, who professionally apologized and explained they had been experiencing some entertainment system issues. Despite those small issues, the location is highly convenient and the service was professional. read more

This is an old, tired property. We were in a Deluxe room in the Sierra Tower, which has no working WiFi. Several explanations were given to which I replied that the Thunderbird Motel directly across the street has WiFi in ALL rooms. The hallway/entrance light flickered like a cheap Neon sign so it was basically useless. The TV remote only worked if you were standing in front of the TV. Elevator 12 needs a Key Card bump to go up. Elevator 11 right next to it has the same sign, but no need to use it -- so no room security. We wanted to know about the Amenities like the spa and pool, but they have no information - you have to scan a QR code and download an app. -- No thanks. When we complained about all this to the front desk, they offered to waive ONE night's "amenity fee" for all the amenities we didn't use. Every restaurant was scientifically priced to extract every last cent they could ... while local restaurants offered food as good, with the same service, for less. It's an old, tired property with old, tired management. read more

Incredible time! We loved the carnival games connected to circus circus, and saw the cirque Alice show! We were blown away, our favorites were the ringmaster mad hatter Ben (so funny and such good magic) and the bowling ball balancing guy! Quality/Quantity - I was (am) a Caesar customer like since forever. This was actually one of the first brands that I joined the loyalty member program. And till this day, I am still a member. But I have not been very active for years. Well locally, I frequent GSR; see other reviews. Today we came for the Biggest Little Latin Festival; see other reviews. It was just okay; I wanted and expected more. And of course, NO happy hour at Brew Brothers on a Friday; another let down... Might explain why they did not have many customers today, even with an event happening. Ambiance - Still a nice casino. I really appreciate and like that you connected the 3 casinos without us having to go outside. Nice to have this event indoors as it is weather proof. Not sure if this helped or hurt your event...? Oh, your advertising could have done a better job explaining exactly where the event was being held. 815 rooms. The casino can use some updating. Too many businesses/restaurants were closed, so limited dining. More of a weekend night life scene...? Service - Self service today. Price - N/A. Well, my wife did support the vendors at the event. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And since 2020, Caesars Entertainment, with your 5 brands. Eldorado, congrats on your success since 1973. A group of friends went to see Cirque Alice. It was an amazing show for all ages. It was captivating and fun. I was impressed with the size of the theatre.. I'd suggest this show for families looking for a bit of excitement. The acrobatics and aerial display kept you on the edge of your seat. read more

July was a rough month for me. My mom's health started declining rapidly and unexpectedly. That was the beginning of the month, my birthday is towards the end of the month. My nephew volunteered to take care of my mom so I could celebrate by birthday. since I was going to a Reno Aces game, I decided to staycation downtown. All the Caesars hotels had great options but I decided on the Petite King Spa Suite at El Dorado. Check in was so easy. I was able to do it early, for a small fee, and at a kiosk (after receiving an email telling me how to do it). Check out is also easy, with kiosk and key return. I loved the room! Spacious, great temperature, nice private view, and just plain comfortable! SO relaxing! In fact, I plan to return in December for an overnight staycation! Location is key. We walked to Greater Nevada Field, and then back. We were able to get some drinks from Brew Brothers, and bring to the room. read more

I've not always had the best time here, but overall I would say it's one of the better downtown casino/entertainment locations in the downtown area. read more

I reserved a room this morning using my Caesar's platinum reward. I used a lot of points and was told I was getting a double bed suite. When I got here I was told they gave my room away and was that I'm getting downgraded for no reason. I was very upset cause I told my daughter we were gonna stay in the nicest room today. Maybe that's why I was so upset cause you don't want to disappoint your 8 year old daughter. It was the manager Liza Dominguez who gave my room away with no sympathy. It was a smaller theater, which made it more intimate with the crowd. Very family friendly. My daughter was chosen to go on stage to be a part of the magic show act of the Mad Hatter. The Mad Hatter was hilarious and talented at the same time. He really brought the crowd in. The preforming acts were great and the singing was wonderful. We recommend this show! read more

Stayed here for a convention down the street. Enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were clean, but the air didn't work very well. The bellhop was a little unhelpful, but everybody else we came in contact with was awesome but the volume of people at the convention we were really surprised at how well the staff dealt with so many people. We also liked that the three hotels were connected with a center area that everyone could meet and have dinner or drinks together, no matter where they were staying at. Had a great time would recommend and would stay again. read more

I should have listened to the reviews! We arrived at 2pm hoping to check in early. They could accommodate us, but there would be a $28 charge for early check in. Really? When we got to our room the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling and there was a big paint warn off mark on the head board. I went to get our room changed. That night the electricity went out so their whole internet, tv system did not work the following day until late in the afternoon. The casino was dead and so dark. I've never been to a place that looked like it was going out of business! Every time you looked they were working on escalators, so you had to take the stairs. Next time I'll just go back to the Peppermill or Atlantis. Caesar Corp should be ashamed! read more

We saw @cirquealice at the El Dorado a few weeks ago. It was an incredible show that far exceeded our expectations. All the performers were incredibly talented, but since I got called up by the Mad Hatter (who serves as the MC), I have to give a particular shout out to @bennemzer for his amazing performance. His magic, mentalism, and performance were all exceptional. He was fun and had an amazing energy that carried the show...and also made my small part a memorable blast. Thanks Cirque Alice and Ben! OMG! I wasn't sure what year I was in when I walked through the doors. The last time I stayed at this hotel was as a teen in the 90s, and I swear absolutely nothing has changed. Walking into the room felt like stepping into a time machine and not in a cool, retro way. The entire property felt incredibly dated, and the room decor is exactly the same as I remember it from decades ago - Worn-out, tired carpet that has seen way too much foot traffic. - Outdated walls - Tiled bathroom with an old toilet. - The elevators were painfully slow and made terrifying, loud cranking noises every time we used them. Definitely added to the "unintentional haunted mansion" vibe. We specifically chose to stay here for the pool, while our friends booked across the street at the Whitney Peak which had none. We weren't informed until we asked and were told it was closed because it was "not in season." Come on, it was Memorial Day weekend, the official kickoff to summer, and the weather was in the 80s! The staff was not friendly, walls were paper thin. The only plus was that it was walking distance to the Patagonia outlet. We will not be staying here again. read more

This was the best show I have ever and I am 70 years old. All of the acrobats were amazing, if not their feats. Alice looks like a future Disney . However, the obvious star of the show was who played the Hatter. He engaged the audience, was fantastic with children, funny as all get out, and his magic was perfect. I loved his quirky character and the purple colors. This show is a real winner. Go see it before it closes. read more

I visit the Row about 3 to 4 times a year. I'm a Diamond Plus player, which gets me comp rooms and valet. This year, I switched to staying here, rather than Silver Legacy, as I prefer both the rooms and valet here. All and all, it's a nice property. Nothing much negative to say. There's a good selection of machines to play and the eating options are also good. On this particular visit, the internet was terrible, kept dropping. I did notice that they've changed up their toiletries to some better products that smell wonderful. I do have a special shout out to the Valet Services. These guys are always so pleasant and helpful, particularly Jordon. I look forward to seeing him during my visits, as he's fun to chat with, and provides great service. Also, I'd like to start a petition to bring back Peggie the Pigeon! She was the mascot at Valet - the smartest pigeon you ever met. She kept everyone in check ;) I hope management reads this and reconsiders giving her the boot. Just a side not, why does Caesar's not do something about Circus Circus? For instance, it's called The Row, which includes Circus Circus, however, I think a majority of people who visit The Row, never set foot in Circus Circus (unless they've brought their kids). The casino area isn't somewhere I'd want to spend anytime. It's dank and depressing. They need to "amputate" this sickly property and replace it with something new and exciting. We stayed here in the Sierra Tower & the rooms did not have any air. Not just no AC, but no air FLOW! We were dying! It was so hot & uncomfortable, we couldn't even sleep. I felt like we were suffocating, there's no fresh air as you can't open the windows, so we basically in a box breathing our own air. It was miserable. I spoke with other guests in the same tower & they all had the same experience. We intended to stay the weekend but ended up leaving after 1 night. Very disappointing for what you'd expect to be a reputable establishment. I will not be staying here again. read more

Dance show was precisely sick with a bunch of gay dudes and sultry lesbians. Electronic dance pop hip hop music was live and they were performing ultra provacative. Totally worth watching and definitely visiting again eventually! read more

Great show at the El Dorado!! Love the showroom so clean and well set up. Two bars inside which make it super convenient and as Yelpers last night we got VIP "Hot" seating in front with intimate seating in comfy chairs and tables with a small light and menu. Saw Menopause the musical which was hilarious and put on by 4 fabulous ladies who through skits showed what us "hot ladies" deal with! Loved the music they sang and danced their way through! See it if you haven't you will love it!! Staff here are all on top of things and are sure to make your experience the best!! read more

I absolutely loved this show. It hit every single point about menopause. I was not on the list, but an elite friend called me and asked me to go and I jumped at the chance. We got to sit right up front in the hot really enjoyed myself. So a lot of my good friends there that I've met.. The show is just fabulous. Definitely. If you get a chance to go see this show. Do it I'm going to take my other sisters to go see it. They're going to love it. We got a treat. Bag as well. It had water chocolates. In 2 flavors of pretzels, we got 2 free drinks.
