Burgers come with white or yellow american cheese..Wish they had a couple more cheese choices. The food does taste fresh and good portions. The onions rings are really good and well as their ranch. The staff at this location has always been nice and helpful and the place is never very dirty.. need to try other things on the menu but so far the bbq burger is the best. Nice, clean place, very friendly staff. Manager, great guy, Finley bought us our order as if everything was okay, very happy with the treatment he was amazing. I'm long over due from this review and unfortunately leading a busy life with work and kids I use my photos to guide me back and write my reviews and it seems like all I've been doing is playing catch up. I came in for a lunch date. I had been here previously two other occasions with my family since this location opened, but never wrote a review. I'm glad we decided to meet here because our food and experience this time around was something to write home about. I've been horrible about recalling names lately unless I put it in my phone. The cutest little blonde lady helped us. She was very helpful and peppy. I ordered her favorite; the Santa Barbara Char meal and added avocado and I tried a hand spun shake oreo shake, it was delicious! Our food was served hot and it was refreshing to have limeade vs. Lemonade. I had their dragon fruit limeade and enjoyed every sip. It was the perfect accompaniment to my burger. Our burgers were cooked to perfection and our fries were extra crispy. For those of us that are less social, they offer self order. I'm guilty of it at times, but I'm glad to have that option available. It was pricier I felt for a burger joint. I believe our lunch was about $55 for the two of us, but it was tasty. I'm very surprised to like Habit Burger as much as I do. And especially due to a bad experience at the location inside of Circus Circus Casino, I never thought I'd go back. It is all thanks to my brother in-law (former chef), who said they are easily his favorite fast food burger spot. He was telling me about the flavor of the char grilled patties alone, and that he could have a patty with no bun or dressings and be completely happy. The first Burger I tried in the Sparks location at Legends was The Santa Barbara Char. All it took was one bite and just like that I was absolutely hooked! It had everything I love; two fresh beef patties, avocado, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on Sourdough. I leave off the mayo for personal preference. American cheese is not my favorite, but it goes well with the burger all together. The side I chose was the green bean fries with ranch for the sauce. I liked them, but they're not my favorite. The onion rings are a different story though! The second time that I went back I decided to try the new sirloin steak burger marinated in garlic and herbs. It has aged white cheddar, and in my opinion you should be able to put that on any of the other burgers as well. It has a generous amount of BBQ sauce and caramelized onions. And finally there is lettuce, tomato, and a garlic aioli on toasted Ciabatta. I got a side of onion rings with ranch and the dragon fruit lemonade. When I say all of it was absolutely spectacular, I really mean it. I was so happy with everything that I stayed silent for most of the time we were there. Keep doing what you do Habit crew! You're all so awesome and nice. You maintain cleanliness and organization really well. The individual ordering kiosks are also great to have and help in the reduction of long lines, though I've never witnessed any. The Habit occupies a place in my heart since I went to school in Santa Barbara and I remember those original charburgers fondly. Now I find myself visiting this particular location when I am road tripping between CA and CO - even though there is an In-N-Out more conveniently located right off the highway a couple of exits away. Flame broiling the burgers makes such a difference, and I'm glad to have fish and chicken options, too. Lots of choices for side dishes, too - the tempura green beans are my favorite. read more

We ordered at the self ordering kiosk and we sat and waited. The restaurant was pretty busy. It was kind of a mess, and the bathrooms were pretty messy with paper towels all over the floor. We waited for over 20 mins for just a 5 piece nugget and French fries. I even went and asked for an update on the order. They were out of a lot of items also out of straws,lids, certain drinks. Treating myself to a burger for my birthday. Wanted a smaller portion so ordered the kids burger. Says for under ten but wasn't questioned. Went through the drive through. No price on the order board but regular sized meal was $12 so figured it'd be less than that. Given a choice of fries or applesauce and juice or soda. I was asked if ketchup on the burger was ok and if I wanted cheese. Order came to 8.54 a bit more for a kids meal than I thought it would be. Pleased with the generous amount of hot crispy fries and an adequate amount of Diet Pepsi. Burger good size but no lettuce pickle or tomato, I guess they figure most kids don't want it. You get an offer in the app and email and they refuse to honor it with no notice in the app or email that they do not participate. Happened to me twice but no more! It's been years since I've been to this location. We've only had one good experience here (our first visit). Most of our visits have been less than stellar, as was our visit today. We came in and ordered at the kiosk. I wouldn't have even noticed them, but I did read yelp reviews which mentioned them before entering. There was one employee, a younger guy who was greeting customers and being generally pleasant. The other guy was bothered he had to actually help customers at the register. One guy even came in to have his order corrected and he seemed upset he had to listen to him. We ordered two charburgers with cheese, an order of fries, one order of tempura green beans and a fountain drink. The kiosk asks for a tip! Food comes out within a reasonable amount of time. My husband asks for a side of ranch. The employee in the green sweatshirt rolls his eyes and hands it over. (Doesn't the tempura green beans come with this anyway?). The tempura green beans are cold. The fries are cold. They couldn't even take an extra second to melt the cheese on the burger. Then halfway through we noticed they didn't even add tomato to our burgers even though we had NO modifications made when we ordered. We weren't about to ask the eye rolling employee for anything after the ranch incident and seeing him interact with other customers, so we just ate our burgers and threw the fries and green beans in the trash. read more

hello! lots of parking outside I ordered to go, and arrived about 10 mins early. please note if you order to go, your pick ticket will be delivered at the time that you had selected, and it wont come out earlier even if they ask. the orders goes in order based on time. if you wanted it earlier but not fresh then set the pick up time earlier. other than that, ordered the french onion and teriyaki char burgers. both were great, but the teriyaki was drenched in sauce. the french onion was my favorite even the next day microwaved was still good. customer service failed to meet standards. the cashier never greeted myself or anyone that walked to the front counter as if they dont care. never asked for help too. I believe the manager was the only that asked what order number was mine and apologized for the wait. that was all. I believe staff should be the first to ask if they need help with anything and always offer to help customers read more

I stopped in here at my fave burger chain Habit Burger on my was back to CA from Elko heading west on the 80. It super easy access off the freeway, just get off at Sparks Blvd, head towards the shopping area and make a U-turn at the stop light and turn right on to Big Fish Drive near the Chase bank. I usually love the Double Charburger with cheese here, but I was a little disappointed this time with my burger. At least they managed to melt the cheese, but the burger was looking a little anemic this time, not piled and stuffed with all the good stuff it's usually packed with. The great Habit experience wasn't there this time and I didn't have time to ask for another to be made, so just ate the one I got. I've stopped here previously on other trips and it was made much better. Gotta train the cooks! read more

The Habit is a great burger place located at the Legends Mall next to several other fast food options. We ordered the chicken bites and double burger with cheese, fries, and onion rings. Everything was great. The condiment, drink and pepper bar here are awesome. The service was quick and the food was steaming hot. The restaurant has lots of seating and some outdoor seating as well. Clean restrooms too. I wish they had other locations that weren't inside of other buildings. Their other locations in the Reno area are inside Circus Circus and the Joe Crowley at UNR. read more

I was excited to learn we had these locally, then quickly let down. I ordered the Impossible Burger, but had to customize it to be vegan (no mayo, no cheese). When we got home all of our food was cold. My vegan burger was covered in mayo, which meant I couldn't salvage the lettuce, tomato, onion, or the top of my bun. The green beans were cold and soggy. The fries were not crisp as advertised. My husbands burger patty was significantly smaller than his bun, as was my sons sourdough. They both threw away a ton of bread. We paid $40+ before tip and the only good thing I can say is the onion rings were very crispy. It was very noisy inside & difficult to hear them repeat back my order. You have to ask for sauces when you get your food which we didn't know. We tried ordering them with our food but were turned down. By the time our buzzer went off for our food, we forgot all of the sauces we were supposed to order. Also, we live close enough that our food shouldn't have felt refrigerator cold by the time we got home. I stuck my hand in the bag as soon as we got it, to taste a fry and green bean, and neither were hot. You're always hoping for that little singe on your fingers to let you know your food is hot out of the fryer, but I felt nothing. I typically review restaurants on the taste of food and can look past bad service but man, we ordered through DoorDash and picked up ourselves. Never done it thought we'd try it. So we drove about 20 minutes to get there after putting in order, get there and don't get acknowledged right away, but end up still having to wait for food. Got food and checked in bag and was missing our drink cups and one was for a kids meal. I thought I saw kids meal in bag and the worker said oh I forgot about the kids meal, gave us cup and threw in gummy. So that made me want to double check and the chicken tenders and fries were missing. So go back in and wait to get acknowledged again, when two other customers went ahead me with wrong order and something else wrong with a different order. Quickly he threw kids meal in bag and we were good. The restaurant itself was also gross. Trash was everywhere and nothing had been cleaned up in dining area. Overheard workers telling people to sit on one side of restaurant cause the other side was dirty when the "clean" side was dirty itself. So luckily we were already getting food to go. The food is yummy, green beans are delicious. My grilled chicken sandwich was definitely overcooked and chewy. But portobello burger tasted good. I'd like to go back cause it's good but service is horrible. Please hire more people for weekend night shifts! read more

We order from Habit about twice a month, and I was always wondering why I couldn;t customize my kids' meal burgers for no ketchup. Tonight, I came in to pick up and learned that I CAN on their app! We were happy to find this Habit at the time when we needed lunch. Our orders were correct and well executed (yummie onion rings). We both got lettuce wrapped charburgers. They're pretty juicy so we needed extra napkins. Food came out quickly. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. And the soda/condiment station was also. The Habit is fast food minus the "fast". Took 30 min (checked order time on receipt) for the two people I was with to get their burgers and another 10 for me to get my sandwich. Not too fun watching them eat. Like most fast food, dine in takes a back seat to drive through as 10-12 cars went through the drive through while we waited. It'll ask you if you want to leave a tip when paying and I already had my card over the reader for tap to pay before I saw the message and it automatically added a $1.40 tip and processed the transaction. Had to confirm on the receipt that actually happened because it was so fast. The kid at the register wasn't friendly at all and I tip well to my hairstylist, dog groomer, waitresses, but a grumpy kid getting $16 to run a fast food register doesn't need to be forcing people to tip him. Normally the food here is great... however... we were in there today at 4pm and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a cheeseburger. We said NO onion on the cheeseburger 3 times!! Guess what... he got onions on his cheeseburger!!! And the cheese had almost disappeared it was cooked so long. There was barely any lettuce or tomato on it as well. And whomever the cook was apparently doesn't know you put butter on the outside of the bread on a grilled cheese sandwich. If you don't it makes it very dry. I've honestly never had anyone do that before!! The 2 times before this the grilled cheese wasn't grilled long enough to melt the cheese! Up till the last 3 visits we have never had a problem.
