Sometimes we're asked to endure quite a bit. An exercise in patience. Tolerance. Sometimes it just "is what it is" (a saying that bugs me), at times it's downright frustrating and yet other times it's hilarious. See what you think..... We haven't been to a Quiznos in over twenty years! A cheesesteak sounded good and there was the sign. I decided on a regular Black Angus Steakhouse sandwich, but can I get mushrooms but no onions? (Once) "No onions, sir?" (that's twice) "Correct, no onions, I just can't handle the onions today (now three times)." I fist pound the chest and say "Yeah, I'll be in trouble later, so I better not do the onions, now (that makes four times I say no onions) Once made, my sub gets passed to the next lady to finish up the add-ons. I tell her everything but peppers and onions. She tells me with a slight hesitation the sandwich is riddled with onions. Did the first woman fail to understand english? They may have a problem going forward. I was confused but didn't want to be rude. The second, slightly older woman, remade the whole sandwich, very quickly and pointed out the mistake to the first sandwich maker. Here's the observation part: the guy after us said he'd be peeved! I was thinking it was hilarious, ya know, like an Abbot & Costello routine. Now, thinking back on it, hoping she's not in trouble for misunderstanding and wasting a sandwich. Maybe I should have just ate the onions? As it turns out, I think I received a Queso Philly sandwich-minus the peppers and onions. I was just so surprised at the measures they took to make sure you got as little meat as possible. Carefully laying down a single thin slice of ham on one side of the bread, carefully laying down one single thin slice of turkey. Sprinkled about a teaspoon of bacon. It was almost comical. When it came out of the oven it looked like there wasn't anything on it. They were friendly enough, but I couldn't help but feel totally cheated. My meal was exceptionally small for the amount I paid. Normally I just shrug and move on with my life when I get a small portion, but this was actually ridiculous. Also, there was a small child behind the counter. Not sure if that's a safety thing or not, but I just assumed they couldn't find childcare that day or something and hopefully it isn't the norm. read more

I was sitting in my car at Reno iPhone repair which is between Starbucks and Quiznos and realized I wasn't hungry but wanted a snack. I'm nots Quiznos person, or haven't been, so when I walked in I said "I'm not hungry. What do you have for a snack?" I saw the chips. Nope. They suggested a salad or soup. SOUP? I said "Do you just microwave it?" Nope. It's hot in a little steam table. They have broccoli cheddar, chili, chicken noodle and clam chowder. I had broccoli cheddar. It was quite yummy. I'm very pleased. They also said any sandwich can be made into a salad. This is very enticing. I'm going to try that. See my picture on making a sandwich into a salad or Sammie. The manager is extremely rude. You would think as a manager she could make a sandwich correctly, which I understand accidents happen but when you make a mistake, you should be willing to fix it and she is not and has a poor attitude when you even ask. read more

This is by far my favorite place to get a sub! The Honey Bacon Club is absolutely delicious, the perfect combination & such a treat every time. I personally love it on their Rosemary Parm bread. You can taste the freshness! Their large size is perfect for lunch and the other half for the next day! One of my favorite parts is the sub is the meats and extras, not just thick bread like other places. Usually not a big line, only a few people, but they make the subs so quick that its never a long wait. A little pricier than other places I have gone to, but you can taste the difference in quality and it is worth every penny! read more

I haven't been to Quiznos in years. I was in the area and I was really hankering for a French dip. The lady in the restaurant greeted me at the door which was nice. She was pleasant. I got my sandwich to go and off I went. When I opened the sandwich, the "sautéed" onions looked mildly blanched, but I wasn't going to judge that on looks. They did smell pretty raw still, but only taste will be the judge. The au jus, however, did give itself away on sight. It looked like diluted chicken broth. It smelled of nothing. This wasn't starting off well, but again - taste be thy determiner. Hoo boy. I'm starting to think looks don't deceive. The onions were crunchy and tasted raw. I had to take them off of my sandwich because they were way too overpowering. It tasted like they were put into boiling liquid for 2 minutes max. The true crime, however, was the "au jus". Imagine for a moment, dear reader, that you took beef broth and watered it down. Then you watered that down. Then you dumped that into a lake, and took a ladle and scooped up the lake water au jus. That was what it tasted like - nothing, with a sprinkling of something unpleasant. It had no salt, no spice - it tasted like if you took the idea of beef, wrapped that on a carrot, dipped it into celery water, and then hated it. I'm sad, because I used to love Quiznos. I hope this is an isolated incident, but I won't be finding out for myself. I won't be back. read more

Hard to understand the girls making sandwiches. Ordered a black angus steak sandwich and some loaded tator tots . Well when I got to the register . She asked if anything h else . I told her I had the tots as well . And that I told the girl when ordering. Well the lady at the register after sitting down says she has the tots ready . Well she had only regular tots . She said I didn't tell her loaded tots . I told her I had ordered with female when ordering sandwich she said I needed to tell her . Well why the heck did the other girl ask what else I wanted them . Interesting sandwich shop. They are in the Home Depot parking lot, and do not require masks. I was waiting in line, and noticed mouse droppings on the beverage door. Since they have an advanced cleaning process due to Covid-19, what does a few mouse droppings matter. First the place was dirty. The service was terrible. I wanted guacamole on my sandwich but she rang it up before I could ask for it and gave me attitude when I asked for it. The steakhouse angus sub was so spicy I couldn't finish it and ended up throwing it out. They're pretty gutsy to even ask for a tip. I would give this a miss better places to eat close by. read more

The Quiznos of Reno are spread out so far, so it is pretty much the opposite of Subways, which are found on pretty much every street corner. Perhaps it is the low frequency at which I eat Quiznos that makes me like it so much. That toasty flavor is tantalizing. This location in particular is special because even when corporate discontinued the honey bourbon chicken sandwich (probably the best sauce on a sandwich I have ever had), these guys would still make it for me...until they ran out of the honey bourbon sauce. But the extra effort they made to satisfy me was very significant. Now I enjoy the Baja Chicken or the Southwest chicken to satisfy my spicy sweet chicken sandwich cravings. Walked in, a gentleman was being helped by an employee and another with a scowl on her face. We walked to the ordering area and was asked by the scowler "What do you want?" I replied we're going to look at the menu. She rolled her eyes and turned her back on us. She turns back around, I begin my order and before I could even finish says nastily "We don't have guacamole." My husband and I looked at each other, he mentioned going somewhere else and I said "Lets go. Her attitude sucks." Always been a Quiznos fan, what's not to love! But the Black Angus Steakhouse sandwich is to die for...or as my husband said when he tasted it...this is the BEST sandwich in the world. I did a phone in order...I was extremely frazzled as we were in between games . I gave the woman may order and she said 20-30 minutes. The location at north town centre is horrendous. My husband asked for extra meat - it was about the same as what you would get without asking. Including the lettuce very minimal. I asked for extra sauce and she nodded ... got home there wasn't much sauce on it at all. Paid $70 (gave a tip) and got a garbage meal. Not impressed. If it wasn't a waste of gas living so far away - we would have just went back and got our money. Go to manning Quiznos if you're on the north side. I have been a fan of Quiznos for many years. Although their prices tend to jump around and the menu often changes, I'm happy that they continue to serve my favorite, "The Traditional". I'm a lover of hot sandwiches and their toaster ovens are the best (can I get one for home?) The bread always tastes fresh (not dried out or chewy), and the sandwich toppings are cool and refreshing. Would never come back to this Quiznos again. We showed up at 10:50am on Sunday and sign says doesn't open till 11am, which i can respect so I waited in my car till 11am and then I go to the door and the lights are still out and it appears that an employee had just arrived and she is giving my wife and I the one minute signal through the window. We stand outside and wait, mind you it's winter and cold. We wait a couple minutes outside and then a second employee arrived and says to us "it's not open yet"? The employee inside lets the other one in and proceeds to tell us to wait longer in which it is 11:05 at this time and none of the veggies and sandwich meat had been out so we decided to go somewhere else. They could have at least allowed us to wait inside. Clearly punctuality is not important to the employees of this store. read more

The owners of this franchise or horribly rude and I will not be returning. Today while In line a young Mexican man went to pay with his $20 bill for his sandwich and the owner was refusing to take his money. Once the guy asked for his money so he can take it else where and asked for the cashiers name he wouldn't give him his name but did take his money to pay for the sandwich but told him he wasn't going to give him his change.
