Greetings my little festerlings! When Jersey Mike's was first introduced into my area, years back, I wasn't really too excited. Figured it to be another fad restaurant that would slowly fade away (like 5 guys should..yuk!). Not really a big sandwich person most of the tme. But I still remember my first time walking into one. It was my first visit where I knew I had it all wrong! I ate there a bunch of times after, because I worked in the same strip mall. Next to Hello Deli which is located in Vista California, and Quiznos, Jersey Mike's is the best sub shop out there! So first I'll say, I haven't had Jersey Mike's in a couple of years at least, and I was delighted to realize that my points have never expired! Matter of fact, after my purchase today, I already have an upcoming reward. So let's get to the review of this particular location by Scheels. I came in on a Sunday around 2 O'Clock or so, and they were pretty busy. Most of the tables taken by eager patrons. Two girls behind the counter and one guy behind the flat top. After using the restroom to wash my hands because I've been working with chemicals (which was clean for the most part) I got in line to make my order. I only had one girl in front of me and then two more customers behind me. I don't understand everyone's angst with the amount of time that it takes. I mean they have to slice the meat and cheese, it's not like walking into 7-Eleven and grabbing one of those rat sandwiches from the bunker fridge. So yeah it took a little bit of time, But I'm not in a hurry, not like I have an appointment with the president or something today. The first girl got my order started. I ordered a giant number 13 with roast beef. She started on two customers sandwiches that were in line behind me. Yes, efficient for them, and no I didn't mind. Now I've been told I have sort of an intimidating presence. The next girl who finished assembling my sandwich was either slightly disorganized, new or maybe nervous. I had to ask her a few times for the same things on my sandwich, and it seemed like she was trying to rush me through because she got immediately to the juice and was about to button my sandwich up when I had to ask her for mayonnaise and relish. But she pulled it through and got it done, got my sandwich, took it home and ate half, and willl probably eat the other half today. I think my total time in line was maybe 10 minutes? Anyhow, the sandwich was great, I got a freebie coming up, and it was nice to have a Jersey Mike's sub after all these years. Good sandwich but disappointing I couldn't get the mini in gluten free bread so had to order a full size sandwich to get GF. There was a long line when we got there but hoped it would move fast. It really didn't and with 5 people behind the counter it should have but they seemed to not have a good system going. We took our sandwiches home to eat and they were good but messy with a bit too much " sauce" sprinkled on. I'd probably eat there again if in the area. read more

We are JM fans always go when we get a chance and want a sub. Today we arrived a little early and ordered our typical #7 giant. So we were in line and we were second in line. There was this gal bringing out the bread and the other prep person was making the sub. Now I know a lot of people don't always watch the news but the Cyclosporiasis outbreak is pretty main stream. I asked the prep person if the lettuce was from Taylor farms. He had no clue so he asked someone else in the other room. He said yes so no lettuce on my sub. Here's the thing that bugged me the gal that brought the bread out was now at the grill making a sub that was ordered. As she was at the grill she had her prep gloves on and she stuck her finger in her left ear to I guess it scratch it. Now she never took her glove off and put another one on. She reaches over for the bun to finish making the sub with the same glove she just stuck in her ear. I hope they read this and explain to their employees that it s not OK to prep food with contaminated gloves. read more

I placed a pick up order through their website. It gave me the pick up time. My order wasnt started until after I arrived to pick up. They were slow, rude, and service sucked. They just let me sit there waiting and never followed back up. I returned to the counter after 20 minutes past pick up time, to follow up and no one finished the order. Didn't have straws, lids, or their fountain drinks working. What a mess. read more

Cross contamination training needs to be done and training enforced at this location. I saw a employee build a sandwich for a customer with gloves on, then check the customer out, scratch her face, goto the drink fridge grab drinks/brownies, put them on the counter, pack up another sandwich, grab handfuls of chilis and throw them into the old chili bucket, and then try to make me a sandwich. She had the same gloves on the whole time. At that point I had to walk out. This isn't the first employee I've seen cross contaminating the whole sandwich bar area. This employee was the worst offender so far. read more

This is a nightmare location, don't waste your time! We have attempted to order online twice and gone in to order. All times we end up waiting longer for our sub because your people can't keep a line flowing. One person taking orders and making subs and stopping at one point to run the register to give a friend a discount and not return to making subs. You have 3-4 workers and no one else to cut the meats. They lost track of whose subs was who's. It took so long one day we walked out. Maybe you should consider hiring competent workers or do better with the training. Won't be going back to this one! read more

I love Jersey Mikes, but this location moves at a snails pace. I refuse to go at lunch because you'll be in line an hour. Thought we'd try dinner, less people, but even slower workers. Horrible service and food. I had waiting over 45 minutes just for a 6 inch sub. People who came after me had picked up their food. Alexys, our cashier, had a horrible attitude. No smile, no hi, no how are you, and even when I had to wait so long for my food, there was no apology. When my wife and I sat down after we ordered, I had got up 20 min later to check to see where my sandwich was since like I said people after me had already gotten their meals. They said they were making it so I sat down and waited. 15 minutes later I go back and ask again and they say they're still making it. That long for such a small sandwich? Finally they called us that our food was ready and put it on the counter. No apology for the wait, nothing. When I got my food the veggies and meat was all falling out the bread. On top of that the restaurant was not clean, and the table we sat on was so dirty I had to wipe it down multiple times before eating on it. I will not be returning. read more

Jersey Mike's is one of the good sandwich place ever I like getting the giant sandwich cost like about close to $20 and I always get ham and Palo with lettuce onion. Well I like my sandwich to be grill and toasty and also I always get the jalapeño peppers to make it spicy and lots of ranch dressing on my sandwich. It's a good sandwich place to go to. Only had an instance where the employees were on a shift change and left my sandwich hanging. The dining room and restrooms could use a deep cleaning every now and then. Do sign up for their rewards! It would be a ZERO if that was an option. This is the location at Legend's. Arrived at 8:15pm (they close at 9pm) and the Open sign was turned off. Was told they were out of bread (really...you're a sandwich shop which makes their own bread). I waited and at 8:30pm they said the bread would be another 30 minutes (closing time). Why not say the bread will not be ready until closing...I would not have waited. A small Asian/Hispanic lady (who originally said the bread would be ready at 8:30pm) was now back pedaling and she now says she said maybe (not...would not have waited).I asked, when you make your own bread, how do you run out? She said we are so busy...no one else was in the store. We chatted a bit more (excuse after excuse) and I said I would be giving a poor Yelp review...she said I don't care! She also had 2 toddlers in the store screaming and running around..very disruptive and unprofessional. She started to raise her voice, write the review, I don't care. Picked up two "giants" for dinner the other night. One Original Italian and one Southwestern Cheesesteak. They were both SO FREAKING GOOD. We were able to get 4 meals out of these two sammies. First time at this location. Where we used to live, the JMike's was never this clean and the service was never this good. The team working behind the glass were great. We had a slightly above average experience at JM's. Couldn't help but to the play the $5 foot long jingle in my head while looking at $10 for 6 inch or $19 for foot longs. That being said, the staff was polite and helpful. The sandwiches were prepared as ordered. The place was clean enough. Nothing bad to say but also nothing to rave about. Now, in all fairness, we haven't had any subs since my all-time favorite Yellow Sub closed. It is hard to compare the two, but these were pretty good. The staff was very friendly and the shop was clean. My wife ordered something she had seen online. It wasn't on the menu, but the young woman behind the counter said, "That's an 11. It isn't on the board, but I can make it." That was great! The bread was soft and pillow with a crunch. All the toppings were fresh and crisp. I love the pepper spread in place of mayo and mustard, which you can ask for. Overall, the sandwiches were tasty, and our experience was good. We will definitely be returning in the future to try hot sandwiches off the grill. read more

I love that they have a gluten free option and when heated up on the cheesesteak it is tasty. The service though {big sigh} is just ineffective. They had six people working and they can't turn out sandwiches. They need to learn something from Chick-Fil-A or In-n-Out about process flow. Last time we came here, we ended up walking out because they have three people standing doing nothing while one person works. It's not a lack of people, it's the process they've put in place that makes the experience slow and frustrating. Some Six Sigma have a big impact the whole place. It took us 25 minutes to get two sandwiches and we did not have to wait to order. Ugh. read more

The Jersey Mike's #13 Italian was so delicious I just had to take a picture of it. The sandwich artists crafted the sub all the while engaging with customers about their day. The restaurant was well staffed during lunchtime which made ordering expeditous. Jersey Mike's is going above and beyond by raising funds for hurricane victims of Helene and Milton. It's great to see this franchise that's all the way out West raising funds for hurricane victims. read more

When I gave them my name, at first they couldn't find my order. They found it and said they would make it now (it hadn't been started). I watched customers come and go for over ten minutes without seeing anyone making my sandwich. I finally asked them when it would be ready. It was obvious they had forgotten about me, and said they would make it now. I finally walked out of there after waiting 15 minutes without any staff member even apologizing for their confusion. Just watched a number of customers complain about how long it took to get their food. Took me about 5 seconds to see the problem. Employees seem to have their assigned stations and will not jump in to help someone who is struggling, as the person in the middle clearly was. Everyone needs to jump in and bust out all the food.
